This might be a dumb take but if they’re willing to take out relievers to try in the rotation, wouldn’t Detmer’s be a good alternative?
I think this is a result of 13 straight games before a day off.

Well, that’s a decision. Coming off a 4-day break with all our pitchers on full rest, I’m entirely baffled. Are we trying some sort of mind games, to not reveal our real pitcher? That’s the only thing that makes any sense…
He’s giving up 5 in the first
I mean, I’m not stoked about this either but at least Kochanowicz isn’t pitching. If something isn’t working, have to try something else.
Please Zeferjahn, since your control issues are a cause for concern, don’t try to be fancy. Just throw strikes and we’ll see what happens.
His cutter drops over a foot and half and is noticeably faster than other pitchers who throw the same pitch. And, his fastball can touch 100. Both solid pitches.
However, if that fastball is thrown in the lower 60% of the strike zone, the Phillies are going to shell Zeferjahn and it’s going to be a bullpen game.
Happy to have Angels baseball back.
They really couldn’t get anybody up for a spot start? Just to try it? Just to see how it feels?
