  7. I agree with everyone that these 2 are fantastic and we are so lucky – but Marty V and Mud used to have me in stitches during some bad Padre Teams in the early-mid 2000s.

    I have to say one of the worst eras was Mud and Dick Emberg. He’s legendary, sure, but at this point at the end of his HOF career Enberg seemed to doze off and would also call the opponents Home Runs excitedly as if he’d forgotten which team he was announcing for.

    It really dampened Mud’s goofiness, except that one time he was jumping up and down behind Dick who was ignoring Mud, or was unaware. Could be either.

  13. They’re so stupid and smart. Everytime I get annoyed with them being unbiased to other teams we get a network game and I miss them real quick. I love Don but I grew up with Mud. Sometime I miss Matt, he was great too.
