Nobody predicted the Chiefs to make these SHOCKING moves…
This week in Chiefs news has definitely had some highs and lows. Let’s quickly run down what happened. As we all know, the Kansas City Chiefs gave their star guard Trey Smith a new contract this week. Four years, 94 million, 70 million guaranteed. That’s the biggest freaking contract a guard has ever got in NFL history. This deal ensures that no player will play under the franchise tag in 2025, securing a key piece of the offensive line throughout 2028. The Chiefs waved fan favorite Justin Ross. He did request his release and the team obliged. Despite his many talents, injuries and off-field issues limited him in his time with the Chiefs. A fresh start was needed and we wish him the best. Nick Bolton has garnered some serious attention from ESPN’s 2025 insider rankings for offball linebackers. Climbing to number four, up one spot from the previous year as voted by NFL executives, coaches, and scouts. Bolton ranked only behind Fred Warner, Rocoan Smith, and Zack Bond. His 2024 season was described as his most complete with career highs of three sacks, six pass deflections, and seven quarterback hits alongside 106 combined tackles, and two fumble recoveries across 16 regular season games. Rasheed Rice was sentenced seemingly out of nowhere on Thursday. He pleaded guilty to two felonies and was given 5 years deferred probation and a 30-day jail sentence. If he completes the terms of his probation, the case will be thrown out and he won’t have anything on his record. The Chiefs will look to veterans like Guju Smith Schustster and possibly Sky Moore Taquan Thornton to fill his role once the NFL hands down their suspension. Rookie Jaylen Royals will also get a shot to fill his shoes. It’s looking like he’s going to get a two to eight game suspension over this depending on what side of the bed Roger Goodell wakes up on. Trent McDuffy was named number 81 on the NFL’s top 100 list of 2025. He was also named to the all under 25 team by NFL.com and the number four corner overall as voted by coaches, GMs, and scouts around the NFL. He’s due for a contract extension very soon, and his numbers are rising by the day. Fans are calling for a quick resolution to this contract issue by Brett Vch because they want to lock him up long term. This was a very tense and wild week news wrap-up, but what’s it been like this week for the other teams? Let’s find out. It’s time to go behind enemy lines. [Music] Now, let’s talk about the Los Angeles Chargers for just a second. The Chargers unveiled their new alternate uniforms for the 2025 season on Tuesday, introducing two new distinct sets. Number one, the Superchargers, which is an all Navy uniform and a throwback to 2006, where they went 14-2 and Lamian Tomlinson set the single season touchdown record. And the second set that they unveiled was called Charger Power, an all gold uniform set going all the way back to pay tribute to Dan Fout’s pass heavy offensive era. All that along with powder blue pants to complement their existing primary uniform kit. These generally earned praise on social media for their sleek design and are set to be worn against the Vikings and the Raiders this season. The Chargers were a little worried for a second when second round pick Trey Harris, a promising young wide receiver out of Miss, was holding out of training camp. Well, they don’t have to worry about that anymore because they got that deal wrapped up yesterday. Harris capped his Mississippi career in 2024 by leading the team in receptions and receiving yards while ranking second receiving touchdowns. He was a second team all-America selection by the Associated Press and a consensus all Southeastern Conference selection after averaging 128.8 yards in his eight games played. On Thursday, our old buddy Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams has called it quits in the NFL. He informed the team of his decision to retire as reported by ESPN’s Adam Shfter via Williams’ agent, Tory Dandy. The announcement came just days after Williams was placed on the pup list due to an undisclosed injury with speculation about a possible link to his 2023 ACL tear. Though, GM Joe Horiz described it as just a minor spring injury. One thing I’m happy about is I don’t have to watch Mike Williams absolutely torch the Chiefs defense ever again. The Raiders wave second-year quarterback Carter Bradley on Monday just before rookies reported to camp. This leaves Gino Smith, Cam Miller, and Tommy Malot, which seems to signal ultimate confidence in Gino Smith as their starter, which isn’t a big surprise. New head coach Pete Carol coached Smith in Seattle, and the backup row is now the sole focus. Although there were some concerns around Raider Nation about wide receiver Jack Besh, the second round draft pick from TCU, being in a contract hold out, it looks like they got that all wrapped up and taken care of yesterday. It was a reported by Tashan Reed of the athletic.com that the Raiders have agreed to terms with receiver Jack B on his four-year rookie deal. Bes, the number 58 overall pick of this year’s draft, was one of several second round picks who had not agreed to terms on a first pro contract entering training camps in late July. Raiders rookies reported to training camp on Thursday with veterans set to report on July 22nd. Mike and I loved Jack Bes coming out as a prospect in this year’s NFL draft. So, the Raiders are probably pretty happy they got that taken care of. The Broncos have finally signed their first round pick, Jade Baron. He inked a 4-year $18 million contract with almost 10 million guaranteed. This was just in time before camp kicked off Thursday for the Broncos. And it’s got fans excited knowing an elite secondary led by Pat Certan could be even better. Shawn Payeyton smiling somewhere. In a slew of second round draft picks that actually got their rookie deals taken care of yesterday, it looks like the Denver Broncos second round draft pick has actually put pen to paper. Running back RJ Harvey signed his four-year rookie contract the team announced on Friday. He was the 60th pick overall in the 2025 NFL draft and is the seventh Broncos draft pick to sign his contract. A 2024 first team all Big 12 selection. Harvey rushed for 1577 yards and 22 touchdowns in his final collegiate season. Harvey posted 54 carries of at least 10 yards last year and 35.1% of his rushes resulted in a first down or a touchdown. An FBS best 23.3% of his carries were at least for 10 yards. Bill’s third round pick Landon Jackson landed on the pup list Thursday due to an undisclosed injury. This could limit his role early on with this revamped defensive line the Bills are attempting to build. Jackson gained late steam in the draft process and is a high motor pass rusher. Bill’s first round pick, Maxwell Haristen, is facing legal issues as well. So, Bill’s fans are getting a bit antsy about this 2025 draft class. The contract dispute between the Buffalo Bills and the running back James Cook. It’s been a top storyline running into training camp. The Bills training camp kicks off on July 23rd, 2025. Cook ranks number 89 on the NFL’s top 100 players of 2025 list and is seeking a new contract valued at about 15 million per year which would rank him among the NFL’s highest paid running backs behind only Saquon Barkley and Christian McAffrey. GM Brandon Bean has indicated no deal is imminent creating tension as the training camp approaches with Bills fans debating Cook’s value after his 1,223 yard 10 touchdown 2024 performance. Cook has confirmed he plans to attend training camp starting July 23rd, but was non-committal about actually practicing, saying, “I don’t know, man. We’ll see when camp comes.” Hinting at a possible hold in where he attends camp, but limits his participation. As vets prepare to report to camp on July 22nd, the Ravens face pressure to extend quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose current deal expires after 2026. With Lamar making strides in his game yearly and analysts predicting a surefire Super Bowl win soon for Jackson, fans are pressuring the organization to act urgently on this matter and lock up Jackson long-term to maintain their offensive stability. Third round rookie offensive tackle Emory Jones Jr. was placed on the NFI list on July 16th due to a shoulder surgery recovery with no clear timeline for his return per Baltimore Ravens.com. This raises concerns about the offensive line’s depth as Jones was expected to compete for a swing tackle role, potentially impacting the Ravens readiness for their September 7th opener against the Buffalo Bills. It wouldn’t be a new week without a new Bengals versus Shamar Stewart story. Stewart remains unsigned and reports surfaced he went back to train with Texas A&M with plans to return to college this fall. CBS Sports Bud Elliot reported he was with the team, referring to&m, but the Cincinnati Inquirers Kelsey Conway confirmed he was only working out individually and not with the team. However, the idea to return to school and flake out on the Bengals still persist due to his unsigned status and remaining NCAA eligibility. Moving along to the world champion Philadelphia Eagles. It looks like their first round draft pick, linebacker Jihod Campbell, is trying to recover from a shoulder surgery and is expected to return in August per Philadelphia Eagles.com and Sports Illustrated. His limited spring participation has Jeremiah Troder Jr. taking first team reps. But Vic Fangio’s optimism about Campbell’s potential starting role next to Zack Bond has Eagles fans excited for his future return. Eagles second round pick Drew Makuba, a safety from Texas remains unsigned. Makuba’s absence could impact his role with the team and his bid for a starting spot. He was drafted to fill the role of CJ Gardner Johnson who was traded to the Texans this off season. He’s currently battling Cydney Brown and Tristan McCollum to see who gets a starting spot next to Reed Blankenship for this Eagles team that’s chasing their second Super Bowl in a row. 🚨 How many games do you think Rashee Rice gets suspended? #ChiefsKingdom
After this collusion scandal Rodger Goodell won’t be waking up in to good of a mood so maybe at least 6 games for Rice

The Ross thing was the right move for him but asking for it was wild
Love the afc west news
The AFC west belongs to KC untill someone takes it. Try as they might in my humble opinion as long as the Chiefs have Mahomes and Andy Reid the chiefs will keep right on rolling . Appreciate this time of chiefs greatness . I can remember when we had Tampa bay's cast off . Steve Deberg as our QB . Marty ball and all the other coaches that were just beyond bad .
LFG!💪
Sean Payton has the Broncos trending in the right direction. Their offense is young but talented and they now have a coach that is known for his offensive success. The defense is still going to be a top defense in the league. That being said, the Chiefs still reign supreme until they have been dethroned.
Great video, gentlemen! 🍻
Excellent work!

Haha what the heck was that at the end Steve! 😂😂
Rice should just do his time now and get it over with.
We have to go all red this year at least 2 or 3 games
