CutOffNate Thoughts On The Sharks 2025-26 Schedule Release
All right. So, boom. Turn me up, don’t turn me down. We back at it with another video. Today, we got breakdown of my Sharks 2025 2026 schedule release. Let’s go ahead and check it out, man. And definitely be on the lookout for Sharks vlogs. Definitely want to go to a Sharks game going on the next season. So, look out for that. The schedule is now officially set for the 35th season of Sharks hockey. You can get it, plus all the details on promotional giveaways right now at sjsharks.com. But in this video, five deeper looks at what lies ahead for Sharks. Wait, let me see who’s our first uh opponent. Vegas. Hell no. We’re going against Vegas. Thursday, October 9th. That’s our That’s our first opponent, too. Okay. Can get it, plus all the details on promotional giveaways right now at sjsharks.com. But in this video, five deeper looks at what lies ahead for Sharks players and you, the fans, in this upcoming season. First off, 27 of the 41 home games now dropped the puck by default at 700 p.m. That’s 30 minutes earlier from how it’s traditionally always been at the tank. And quite honestly, it’s great. League and the team were able to do this for the fans. So, the game start at 700 p.m. Then the game going to be over what, like 910? I’m guessing it’s like 2 three hours the game, right? was made based on feedback from Sharks 365 members and the fan base in general. It means most games will be wrapped up before the 10:00 hour hits, okay, and gets Sharks fans from far and wide home at a much more decent hour. Second, there’s also seven, that’s right, seven home games this year scheduled to begin at 100 p.m. Another three that begin at 5:00 p.m. and one which gets underway at 400 p.m. So, these are early games. Okay, 1:00 p.m. I could get behind that. 1 pm games. Then the game will be over around like 4:00. It’ll still be bright, sunny out. I can get behind the 1 p.m. games. Somebody be going to some 1 p.m. games. I ain’t going to lie. Another three that begin at 5:00 p.m. and one which gets underway at 400 p.m. As the father of an 8-year-old, honestly, we could not be more excited about this. The early start times are also all handpicked around weekends and holidays. So, it is the perfect opportunity for young families to reward the next generation of Sharks fans. Lovely. Hold on. Y’all looking out for me. I feel like y’all talking to me right now. Lovely. Thank you. Hold on. Also, it certainly doesn’t hurt for a young ascending team like the Sharks to get that by coastal exposure and attention that they deserve. Exactly. Considering hockeyy’s largest contingent resides in the Eastern time zone, it sure is nice to get Teal on the televisions a lot earlier than 100 a.m. Third is that 3-w weekek break for the Sharks in February due to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy. Now 21day break in February for the Olympics. Damn. This is the first time NHL players have participated in the game since 2014. It does mean a complete shutdown of the NHL and only four total games for the Sharks in February. While season break and the schedule certainly isn’t new, it hasn’t been this extended in quite some time. It’s good for hockey fans obviously to see best on best in this world format. But it also should help a lot of teams, maybe even the Sharks, heal up and get ready for the final seven weeks of the regular season. Got a good point. Maybe beyond fourth because the playoffs start what? April. So, we only got a couple games, what he said, three, four, February, and then we got March and then April playoffs. So, it’s like I ain’t going to lie, that’s going to be clutch for a lot of playoff teams, including my Sharks cuz I know we’re going to be a playoff team going into next season. So, that’s definitely going to be beneficial for us going into the playoffs. Oh, yeah. I like that. I I I love that actually. Three total three-day breaks in schedule. Because of that lengthy Olympic break, the rest of this season also has to be appropriately condensed. That means only three times on the calendar will the Sharks get a three-day break. The schedule also features 17 backtobacks, including four straight in the month of January alone. This is definitely going to be a challenge for not only the Sharks, but all NHL teams to manage rest with players, but also try and squeeze in those valuable practice days where possible. And lastly, all the nuts and bolts of what you need to know. Opening night, it’s at home October 9th against Las Vegas. Wait, what day is October 9th? I’m going to be traveling to some 49ers games, too. If y’all in Seattle, week one, I’m there. All right. Week one, I’m there in Seattle. October uh well, not October, September. September 7th, I’m in Seattle. So, October 9th, opening night. Okay. So, that’s Tuesday. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Well, actually, no, no, no, no. I just checked September. October October 9th. That’s on a Thursday. Okay. Okay. That’s good. Dang. Thursday night football gonna be going on that night, too. So, we going to have Thursday night football and the Sharks playing cuz that’s on a Thursday. Damn. Las Vegas. And the season finale is April 16th on the road against Winnipeg. In total, it’s 82 games and 189 days. Balance-wise, there’s 11 tilts in October, 15 in November, 14 in December, 13 in January, those four in February with 15 in March, and 10 concluding in April. The longest home stands are six games each. That’ll happen twice. And the longest road trips are five games each. Those will happen three times in the course of the season. In terms of divisional opponents, San Jose plays the Kings three times and plays everybody else in the Pacific Division four times. It’s also three matchups with each of the Central Division teams and twice against every other Eastern Conference opponent. If Matthew Schaefer and Michael Misa both make their respective NHL teams and are in the lineup on that day, we will see number one and number two from the most recent draft face off for real. Schaefer versus Misa. Huh. I can’t wait for that game. On October 21st when the Islanders host the Sharks. We can’t wait to get things going again. And by the way, preeason starts September 21st at the preseason starts September 21st. What day that is? That [ __ ] on a Sunday. Preseason on football day. That is crazy. All right, let me see this again. Hold on. So October, Vegas, Carolina. Wait, how do I know what’s home and away? I’m guessing uh I’m guessing uh the dark one is is uh is away. I think I think the dark one is away if I’m not mistaken. And then the uh the light one is home. Huh? Oh, wait. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Cuz it say Wait, I don’t even think that matters. Oh, it just say at right here. Yeah. At at. So this home home then at Utah, Pittsburgh, the Islanders, New Jersey type [ __ ] Okay. Okay. All right. This is a good little schedule right here. Yeah, I see Marts definitely having a positive record going into this season. We definitely winning the Stanley Club Championship next season. Nobody’s going to beat us. I don’t care about the Florida Panthers. Y’all badto bat champs. I don’t care. We’re going to expose y’all in the regular season and whenever. But hey, hopefully you enjoy my reaction to my Sharks 2025 2026 schedule release.
