GAME HIGHLIGHTS | Detroit Pistons vs San Antonio Spurs | NBA 2K26 Summer League

[Music] Spurs able to get the rebound there. Dennis fires block though. Pistons in transition. Free ball on the way is good. Lines it up and knocks it down. Three nothing. Pistons come up with it. Bigger staff headed the other direction. Drops it off for Laneir. Steps into a three in and out. But Smith right place, right time gets Lir. He has made a living off of those drift in transition threes at Tennessee is going to translate well manufacturing like a pipe building company before he started college ball and now he’s got a full contract and there’s our guy Tony Smith who’s he made a tough culture tougher and that’s not easy to do talking about 26 in blue who throws to his running buddy Laneir they ran that action time has captured that same culture and mentality to start this game. Smith with the left hand up and in off the glass towards that is really good. Bobby Clintman. Six on the shot clock. Beautiful pocket pass to Smith and he finishes there with a layup. Probably learned from his dad who was an NBA Allstar. There’s that screen rescreen action up top. The middle’s opened up. The tag guy is too late, too small to handle to Smith. Oh, Laneir wide open again. How does that happen? Nothing but net. I mean, and they brought in a guy like Chaz Laneir. That’s why my point that Detroit, they’re not that far off. Oh, and a reverse there by Ukamadu. 10-point lead now for the Spurs. Ukamadu. Tough shot. Swirls out. Gets his own rebound. Turnaround is good. He is as good of a second jumper as there is in Vegas from what I’ve seen. two things. You find guys that love ball and you find guys that are fearless. And for him to put himself out there in that situation and and is so good. He dribbles that ball at different heights just a tough cover. Talk about 25 and one. Yep. 12 points. There’s a three ball there. 11-point lead for the Spurs. Back door for Ukamadu. He is showing it all off here. Ziggler Ukamadu again. Ukamadu again. If you didn’t know Ukamato 30 minutes ago, you know him now. Jones Garcia wide of the mark there. Way off. You talk about a livebody athlete. Keep an eye on 20 and blue. Chaz Laneir. This is prime territory. They dump it in. Laneir. The reverse layup is good. So he’s been averaging 22 points here in Vegas. Already has 21 in the first half. Brooks gets the push shot to fall. Dio on the turnaround is short. Just not the most skilled guy. A lot of colleges on his resume. Williams with the finish on the other end. He’s in Las Vegas. That’ll be it. They’ll shut him down. Yeah, he’ll have the Cooper flag. No, he sure will. That’s my first time to see him in person as well. setting to our right right now. But he is all of what just an incredible journey this young man. Three ball on the way. Too strong. Oh, right into the hands of Keels. Right place, right time. You’ve got to continue to work on your skill and work on your craft, but the decisions you make and how you interact with. I mean, look how big staffs are right now when you watch an NBA game or watch him on film. Son of a coach played for his pops there. heels with a beautiful move and finish. Really good read again off that middle ball screen action and get that ball handler downhill. Still an 11-point ball game. Jir Nelson gets swatted away. Madpock right place, right time there and on the other end gets the bucket off the window this last stretch. Yeah, no doubt. Harrison Brooks couple Pistons looking at each other saying my bad was too easy there. Madlock pulls up. Madlock swirls one home. Madlock playing with a ton of confidence. Madlock with four quick points. Ingram on the drive, gets it into OFO. Oifo then swings it. Mangis drops it off. Oh, what a rejection there. Races it to the other end with a finish. And there’s Garrison Brooks rotating over. Dar Brooks’s dad. Jordan seems to be ready to go for next season after the scary issue with the blood clot in the shoulder. and they’ve added some depth to that particular roster. We talked about Dylan and Carter asleep knowing exactly where he was going to go on that jet cut in the easy three. Largest lead of the game for the Spurs. And another three, an answer on the other end. Continue to be where I want to be in this league. I I’ve got to get better at my weakness. And I know Castle well enough to know he’s putting those hours in right now. Well, listen, you start moving up that stouting report after a heck of a coach, very welldeserving of the award. That’s the cool thing about this summer league over a 10-day period. I remember back in 2003, Mo Cheeks helped a young lady, her name was Natalie Gilbert. I asked them the same question. What’s the most challenging part of summer league for these guys? And the resounding answer was finding a new identity. He said, the first guy to hit those marks in NBA history. Jimmy, I did one of their games this year and I remember at Shootaround I was talking to Harrison Barnes about the kid as you see the flush there. Um, and how impressive he was, how mature he was for his age. Well, good news for Spurs fans. He was officially cleared to return on July the 15th. Cool doesn’t win in life. And those three guys could have came to Las Vegas with a coolness about him. I I really don’t have as much to prove as I did maybe my rookie year.

  1. Lanier is such a sharp shooter just wondering why he went so late in the draft. It seems that sharp shooters are better suited for today’s game vs prior eras. Am I missing something??
