TJ Watt Just Got an Extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers was Overpaid!

TJ Watt is the highest paid position player in the NFL. And I think the Steelers are stupid for it. TJ Watt just signed a three-year $123 million deal, meaning they don’t have to worry about a TJ Watt hold out, but goodness gracious is this an overpay for a linebacker, especially one that’s 30 years old and seems to choke and go invisible in the playoffs. The Pittsburgh Steelers have no idea what they’re doing this off seasonason. The trend for the Steelers has been to get old players past their prime. They got Jaylen Ramsay, they got Darius Slay, they had the chance to draft Shadir Sanders, but they’re comfortable with Aaron Rogers back there. This team would have been unstoppable and unaffordable 5 years ago. And they got rid of Ma Fitzpatrick. This also means Jerry Jones is screwed when it comes to Michael Parsons. Michael Parsons has been waiting on his contract extension from the Dallas Cowboys. And now that TJ Watt got the truckload that he did, Micah is better than him. So, minimum, he’s going to want to match what the Steelers gave TJ Watt. Why doesn’t Jerry Jones learn from the Philadelphia Eagles? Extend your players early instead of letting the market go up. It’s only going to go up. This also means good, bad, and ugly. The Steelers are stuck with TJ Watt because getting someone to take on that contract if they want to rebuild it will be impossible. It seems like they are trying to do what the Rams did their Super Bowl year.

TJ Watt Just Got an Extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers was Overpaid!

TJ Watt the linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers was just massively overpaid in his contract extension of 3 years 123 Million. As a 30 year old that is too high of a contract, but it seems the Steelers are really making a Superbowl push this year. We’ll see what he can do with Aaron Rogers and Mike Tomlin.

  1. TJ watts down year is 11 sacks brother lol the ravens don’t even have a play with 11 sacks and that’s one of his worst seasons bc of injury I respect the ravens sadly enough but don’t be hating when you know TJ deserves the bag bro

  2. U think that’s stupid try being the cowboys who are going to pay Micah 42$ mill annually just for him to disappear later in the season and not being able to stop the run 😂😂😂 lane Johnson is Micah’s daddy gotta call him micah Johnson for now on 😂😂

  3. He is our defense, you’re doing all these signings to make a well rounded team you better go get Mr.Reliable Mr.GetItDone before he feels slighted for all the work he did.. And talk all you want about TJ in the playoffs but I’m sorry if you’re carrying a entire team on your back and you’re not even an offensive player.. you might be banged tf by the post season. Pay that man. Y’all tripping

  4. Idk what this dude is talking about, you can’t tell me a season where Micah is better than TJ watt. Micah hasn’t even touch 20+ sacks like TJ. Mind you TJ is tied with Strahan for most sacks in a season. Let that sink in

  5. I mean this with up most respect but as a Steelers fan I can confidently say that this was worth it as he is the best rusher in football in not the best defensive player

  6. Steelers weren’t letting TJ walk. Dude has been with us and carried us. He might be at the end of his prime but he still got 3 years left of good ball and dude can teach the young guns. Also we are paying him for all the shit he’s already done.

  7. One injury away from a total waste, that is a standard Mike Tomlin distraction. He doesn't want anyone to evaluate his coaching skill which is pretty average on a good day and terrible on a bad day.
