Shams Charania:

Twelve-time All-Star Chris Paul has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, CAA's Steven Heumann, Ty Sullivan and Jessica Holtz told ESPN. Paul had multiple suitors, but chose the contending Clippers and their shared history in L.A. for his likely final, 21st NBA season.

  1. Clippers and Warriors competing for who can have the oldest team in the league

  2. Would honestly be amazing if the hospital Clippers won the title next season. Will be rooting for them in the West.

  3. Getting CP3 is a great move for the Clips. Now when Harden is off Brad won’t be forced to be the PG.

  4. hey I like this. Won’t get the same love that Dame got but I’m very happy to see CP3 in a mini best of arc next season playing with the team he’s arguably the GOAT for and with James Harden. They are old but idk, I think this will still be fun.

Biased because CP3 is one of my three favorite players

  5. THE RETURN

Honestly he lost all of his leverage about wanting to be a starter when he said he wanted to be home with his family.

That being said, it’ll be a fun Clippers team. Old, but can run 10-11 deep.

  6. Dream team for us “old heads” in our 30s and 40s.

Going to be a hilarious team

  7. What if team!

What if Kawhi can stay healthy regular season AND playoffs?

What if Harden can not poop the bed when it matters the most in the playoffs?

What if Beal isn’t who he’s been for the last 3 years now?

What if CP3 can fight off Father Time for his last year?

  8. NBA fan: Who would you rather see wining a ring: Harden, CP3 or Beal?

    Clippers fan: Yes.

  9. They’ve been called washed.
    They’ve been counted out.
    But they’re not done yet.

    This isn’t a rebuild. It’s a revenge tour.
For respect. For legacy. For the ring that got away.

    This Fall.
    In arenas everywhere.

  10. Thanks for that one year, unc. I can go back to hating, this time with a smidge more respect. Get your chip

  11. I’m happy he’s gonna retire a Clipper, I’m assuming his jersey will be the first one to go up? Or Blake’s?

  12. The return! Clippers have low-key done a great job at managing what is likely the end of the Kawhi era. Got real talent around him without giving up future picks and will have actual cap room after Kawhi’s deal is done. Theoretically if they strike out they’ll be in for a tough two years since they owe Philly an unprotected first and swap 2028/2029 but after that they’re free and clear.

Honestly looks like they did all right considering how bad that PG trade has been looking. Shai is obviously a gut punch but literally no one thought he’d be this good. And the only good pick they’ve given up was the 12th pick that turned into J-Dub which, while brutal, you have to give some leeway because 11 teams passed on drafting him and there’s absolutely no guarantee they would’ve picked him there anyway. Obviously still a home run deal for the Thunder, and it’s not like the Clippers have had a ton of success, but they’ve been a winning team with legitimate title odds the entire time and completed the lob-city era transition from a league laughing stock to an extremely good franchise

  13. I know he didn’t start as a Clipper, but he’s always been a Clipper to me.

  14. I know they’re old and guys are injury prone, but a roster of

    – James Harden / Chris Paul
    – Bradley Beal / Kris Dunn
    – Kawhi Leonard / Bogdan Bogdanovic
    – John Collins / Derrick Jones Jr
    – Ivica Zubac / Brook Lopez

Is extremely stacked. They’re going to be fun to watch next season and I hope they stay mostly healthy

  15. This just feels right after Dame’s return to the Blazers. Go on CP3, one last rodeo before a well earned retirement
