EXPOSED: New York Yankees’ Defensive NIGHTMARE Continues | Should Spencer Jones Be TRADED?

But Stacy, you said it. They need a third baseman. That whole inning started with the PZA. Did it go down as an error? No. But if you watch that replay, he’s got to have that ball. It’s right under his glove. And I’m sorry, Stacy. If you’re not going to hit, you need to play stellar defense. On today’s show, we’ll tell you some news from around the league. And the oldtimer’s day game is back. A certain person won’t be there, but there are a few newcomers that I need to talk about because it’s kind of exciting for me. Uh, we’re going to talk about Spencer Jones because when it comes to the minor leagues and it’s our Tuesday track through the minors, we have to discuss what Spencer Jones has done in the last week, specifically this past weekend because it’s been unbelievable. But first, also unbelievable, Yankees have lost their fifth straight game in Toronto. And say it with me now, they need a third baseman in the worst way badly. Um, I I I want to address this first because there were a lot of uh box score enthusiasts who clearly read the box score, got their daily notification every time the Blue Jays scored a run and immediately went to social media to kill Carlos Rodon. This game was not on Carlos Rodon at all. In fact, this game made me proud that Carlos Rodon was a Yankee. He pitched very well in this game and he was a gamer in this game. He pitched phenomenally and his defense let him down quite frankly. And I don’t know about you, if you saw in the in late in the game when he when he finished the game, went into the dugout, you would think a player who just had to pitch 40 pitches in his last inning to get out of it after he was cruising up until that point and gave up runs that he had no business giving up because his defense failed him would go into the clubhouse and take a shower and ignore everybody in sight. He walked right into the dugout, clapped his hands, started smacking everybody and saying, “Let’s go. Let’s go pick it up.” That’s a true gamer right there. I earned a lot of he earned a lot of respect for me. Not that he needs it, but for coming into dugout and keep propping his team up after that. Ton of respect. But Stacy, you said it. They need a third baseman. That whole inning started with the PZA. Did it go down as an error? No. But if you watch that replay, he’s got to have that ball. It’s right under his glove. And I’m sorry, Stacy, if you’re not going to hit, you need to play stellar defense, and that ball has to be made. Yeah. Um, one last thing about Rodon, though. Um he could have pulled a Kershaw and had a hissy fit after his defense let him down. And you know we’ve seen Rodon he had some bad moments in his first season as a Yankee because he was not adjusting well to be a Yankee being a Yankee. He blew the kiss in Anaheim. Like it was a whole thing. So to see him mature in the last few seasons and you know try to pump his teammates up as he walked into the dugout I really gained more respect for him after. That’s leader that’s leader type stuff. Yeah, that is that’s that’s a leader kind of move. I I earned not seriously like I earned a ton of respect for seeing that cuz he had and that this is one of those where he had every right to throw a hissy fit because he he was battling out there. He he had five walks in this game like couldn’t find the zone and just was a gutty performance Stacy and to get let down by your defense and it two just the ball under that missed him and then the Barza off throw that happened and then Vulpi with the awful throw that happened those plays in big games Stacy can not happen they can’t happen you need to be focused on plays like that when that’s not happening you know they need to go out and get a third baseman I’m sorry Like like we said before, if if PZA is going to hit 150, then he needs to play Mike Schmidt defense out there. He needs to be incredible. And the fact that he hasn’t been that lately, it’s it’s it’s not acceptable at this point. They need to be better. They plain and simple, they need to be better. What’s with the Yankees and falling apart in the fifth inning defensively? Yeah. I don’t know because you think they should be able to see with the with how their bullpens performed throughout most of this year. You think they should be able to see the win ahead of them and they just don’t they’re not able to close games down or they think it’s over before it actually is. Uh really really not uh just this is such a disheartening performance because early on in this game it look at they should have won this game. They were in this game they had every reason to win this game. That’s why it’s so bothersome Stacy. Well it’s also bother bothersome because the offense couldn’t do anything other than Stanton’s solo shot. They couldn’t do anything against Gossman and which we called by the way. We called Stanton solo shot. Yeah, we said he was due and he was he’s been well he really he really took that comment from uh Judge personally because Judge called singles hitter. He had he he actually even the the out that he had I believe I believe it was in the eighth inning the line drive he was right on that ball. He just he happened to hit it too hard so it stayed in the air but he he’s had some really good at bats lately. I want to mention this too when it comes to the offense because Rodon had a really good first inning, seven seven inn pitches I believe and the second inning he really struggled. He walked guys. He had two runners on. Winds up getting out of it but again really battled. He needed some time to rest. The Yankees go out in the second in the third top of the third and the first two batters swing at the first two pitches they see and ground out. And now you force Trent Gisham to try and take pitches and he’s he’s behind in an at bat immediately. Stacey, explain to me why that makes any sense at all. And maybe I don’t really blame the players on that because you’re in your own mindset as a player going up there. You’re not thinking about what the pitcher was involved in, but and we complain about it all the time, but we’re going to keep complaining about it until something’s done about it. That’s on the manager. That is on the manager to recognize in that spot, hey, your pitcher just threw 20some pitches and needs a little bit of a rest. You need to tell your lead off hitter, hey, work the count here because Rodon needs some rest there. That to to go up there and swing at the first two pitches is just inexcusable there, too. Yeah, because you know, as you said, Rodon needed rest. Also, you have guys coming up behind you who are watching your bats to see the pattern to see what Gossman is throwing. And if you’re swinging at the first pitch and making it out, that’s not going to help them at all. Even though it’s the second time through the lineup, you still need to like show them what he’s throwing. even though they’ve had an at bat against him because what I don’t remember when it was but I saw a Johnboy breakdown on TikTok. I think it was today but it was from a game in Yankee Stadium. So it was a little while ago but Judge and Goldmid were talking about what the pitcher was throwing and Goldmid told Judge and Judge went up and hit a single on the pitch that he saw because he knew what the pitcher was going to be throwing because of what Goldmid told him. And if you’re not going to say something verbally, you have to do it through your performance. That’s the point. You can’t just go up there swinging. Guys learn a lot from the batter’s box. They do. And you you need to give them an opportunity to see what the guy is throwing out there. And to to not give that and go up there just hacking at the first pitch again, and you need to have the awareness that your pitcher just threw for a half hour and is exhausted. You you can’t allow stuff like that to happen. And that’s a consistent theme with this team, Stacy. And it’s early on in the game, too. Can we work Gossman’s count a little bit instead of letting him go seven innings? So, Blue J. It’s also It’s also a Vulpy thing. Vulpy, I’m not going to say he doesn’t have a baseball IQ, but sometimes when he’s at the plate, he doesn’t because he’s the type of guy where someone in front of him will work like a six pitch walk and he’ll swing at the first pitch right away. And it’s like, what are you do? This guy can’t find the zone. What are you doing? Why are you swinging at the first pitch? Like, you have to change your approach. And it’s partly on the players, but like you said, it is on Boone. Like they need to like say things, okay, well, didn’t work out the first time through the order, so maybe let’s take some pitches against this guy. Well, and that’s the thing, too, like I mean, this goes back to like, you know, it’s not the same thing, but when I played high school baseball, if my pitcher the inning before battled and threw 20, 30 pitches in the inning prior, my manager would say to me, “Hey, take some pitches here. Get you want to give your pitcher some time to relax a little bit in the dugout and get his gather his thoughts.” Rodon before he knew it was grabbing his glove to go back out there immediately before he knew it in that inning. That can not happen. He literally had no time to like even to sit to kind of think about what he was do like what happened and kind of like relax himself and be like, “All right, I’ll just, you know, everything will be fine the next inning.” And it’s like, oh, I have to go now. Okay, great. And here’s the last thought. Um, they can’t do anything about Vulpi and they’re not going to do anything about Vulpi. Whe whether you guys like it or not, he’s going to be the shortstop for the remainder of at least this season and probably for the future. They can do something about PZA and they’ve acknowledged that they need to do something about PZA. Go make a move and attack the deadline before the deadline attacks you. Don’t let somebody else get a player that you really want and settle for second fiddle. You don’t need that. Go out there, get the third baseman that you want. But Stacy, I’ve I’ve personally had it with the PZA experiment. Again, if you’re not going to be Mike Schmidt out there with the glove, then you need to hit 270 or something. You can’t provide no power, no slug, never get on base, never hit I mean you and and play defense where you’re throwing the ball around the infield. It the experiment is over. I like PZA as a player. I liked him coming up, but it’s not working out here. And they need a third baseman sooner rather than later before this before this gap gets bigger and bigger in the division. Yes. Because it’s getting bigger and bigger. As we spoke about on yesterday’s show, they have to control their destiny now because they won’t have a chance until September when they play Toronto again. And during the month and a little bit between now and when they next play Toronto, they have to rely on everyone else to do something. And that’s no way to go through. And again, like we said at the end of yesterday’s show, look at their schedule going forward. It’s not exactly easy, right? I almost said standard. I’m like, we’re still in daylight time. It’s still summer. So Spencer Jones, um, he’s having a time of his life down in spring down in TripleA. I mean, he has been so so good since getting called up. I have a controversial opinion, but why don’t you for inform us on how Spencer Jones is doing so far. Yeah, he had quite a time against the Woo Socks this weekend. I don’t think he wanted to leave Massachusetts. Now, this is a grain of We’re going to throw out a grain of salt here. Okay. He’s only played in 15 games with Scranton. It’s about like 69 at bats, 79 played appearances, right? Yeah. Uh but he now has 10 home runs, five doubles. His OPS is 11:06 along with his 426 batting average. And judge territory. Yeah. And between Somerset and Scranton this season, he has 13 doubles and 26 home runs. That’s really good for the part of the season they’re in right now. Wow. That’s Yeah, it’s it’s amazing what he’s doing. And he’s not just hitting home runs, he’s hitting like judgy in home runs. One of them on Sunday was 445 ft cuz he hit two on Sunday. And one of the uh the home run the one home run he hit on Saturday was 433. But the thing about him was Saturday and Sunday he had four hits in each of those games. Sunday two home runs and a double and a single. Unbelievable. He missed he missed um he missed a cycle by not hitting the triple as well earlier in the week. just he’s it’s so funny because we kept talking about, you know, when a guy goes up a level, you know, wait for him to get used to it. There might be an adjustment period, you know, don’t expect him to like hit the ball well when he first gets up and he’s doing the opposite of whatever I thought he was going to do because he’s just looking great up there. And man, he hits the ball hard. It’s time to trade him. His value is at its ultimate highest right now. I would take these numbers right here and dangle them in front of the Guardians and say, “Give us Jose Ramirez. They need a third baseman. He’s locked up with a good salary. It’s a time for them to kind of upgrade and get younger. And let’s be let’s be let’s be frank, Stacy. They have no room for Spencer Jones now or in the future. In the foreseeable future, there’s nowhere for him to play on this roster. Unless you’re moving an older judge back to center field next year, which they’re not going to do because they want to bring Bellinger back or teaching or teaching Jones how to play third. Yeah, exactly. That there is no room for him. His value through all the minors. We’ve been hearing about him for years. Through all of the minors, his value has never been higher than what it is right now. Going to Triple A and hitting the way he’s hitting right now. I would package him and Ben Hess and offer that to Cleveland. And I think Cleveland would take that. I do. And do you just do you totally disagree? I know the notion of saying trade Spencer Jones while these numbers are coming up might sound crazy to some initially, but if you really think about it, this is when you’re capitalizing on a guy, by the way, with a 35% strikeout rate. This is when you’re capitalizing on a guy like that. The Yankees already have too many strikeouts in their lineup. They don’t lack power at the major league level. And again, there’s no position for him at the major league level. I don’t think it’s crazy to say this is when you have to make the move on trading him. Yeah, I think this would be the time before the pitchers in Triple A start to figure him out a bit and he falls off. This is the perfect time for him to be doing as well as he’s doing because he’s doing this two weeks uh with two weeks left before the trade deadline. So, Jose RmIrez is saying 295 with a 365 on bases, got 29 stolen bases, 19 homers, 52 RBI’s and you want a third baseman for the foreseeable future. If you want to lock a guy up, you know he’s a proven superstar. You you know he’s he’s got an ability to hit in uh in big times, too. In 2022, he signed a contract worth $141 million over seven years. It’s $20 million a year for a player like that. I don’t know how you don’t make that move, right? Because even if you say they’re giving up too much prospectwise, to get a third baseman at Ramirez’s level for $20 million a year for six more years, how do you turn that down? How do you not do that? I think that to me, that’s the move you have to make. And again, with with nowhere for Jones to play, I think you do it. And I think Ben Hes would be the sweetener to the pot that you kind of would have to make because I don’t think Jones straight up would do it. But I think Jo I think Jones and Hess would do it. Hess is one of their top pitching prospects. He’s got a lot of good strikeout numbers. The Guardians like to build through young pitching as we’ve seen three years past and they kind of have been lacking in pitching, especially with the prospect of Bieber potentially leaving. He’s on a one-year deal. He could be leaving after this year. They might want to get younger with a pitcher. Hes could be popping off in like, you know, a year or two. I think that’s a deal they’d be interested in. Uh, plus Jones would be able to play at the major league level this year if they if they traded for him because they’ve had a down year. They’re falling apart. That’s another reason, too. The Guardians before the before the All-Star break, Stacy, had lost like 12 in a row. So, they had kind of really fallen out of it. If you’re going to fall out of it at this point, you’re not on a World Series trajectory. This is when you try to trade some of your players to get younger to stay competitive. I think it’s time they would want to move Ramirez and the Yankees should be after it. Well, the Yankees have to do something because they can’t they’re not going to stand Pat. They need a number of things, but I think the most important thing right now is third base above all because we know they’re gonna make a move because they didn’t do it in the off seasonason when they should have done it. And everyone said they should have done it. How do you go into a season without a third baseman with your plan being like, “Oh, we’re going to have this guy and this guy kind of trade off.” And no, that’s not how that bothers me mostly too. What bothers me too mostly is they tried that same dumb experiment the year prior with left field. They didn’t have a left fielder and they’re like, “Yeah, we’ll figure it out on the fly.” And they never did. They never figured it out and never had a consistent left fielder. And then they did the same thing at third base the next year. Like you didn’t learn your lesson from not having a set position going into a year. It makes no sense. But I I just again, everyone’s going to call me crazy because how do you trade Spencer Jones when his numbers look like they they look like and he’s finally popping off in AAA? this is the time you actually do it because he looks like a budding superstar. And again, Stacey, people want to have him called up. Where’s he playing? Where where’s he? There’s no room for him. And not even there’s no room for him in the foreseeable future. The next couple years, there’s no room for him. So, I don’t know what your plan is for him, but I mean, right now, his value is at its all-time high. This is the time to move on from him. It just is. Uh I I don’t not like the player, but they don’t love high strikeouts, and he strikes out a lot. and they’ve got plenty of power in their lineup. There’s just not there’s not space for him. And with these kind of numbers right now, again, I want Suarez. I don’t know if Jones is worth giving up for one year of of Suarez. I don’t think it’s worth it for five years of Jose Ramirez at the at the defense level that he plays, the power he provides, the stolen bases, and for the salary, too. I’m sorry, 20 million a year. They paid Josh Donaldson 24 a couple years ago. Yeah. And uh and he was great. They haven’t really had good luck with third baseman, huh? Oz Ramirez is proven. We know he can hit Yankee Stadium, by the way. Yeah. Um right since Gio Gioella, that trade really just sent them on a spiral. And no offense to Jazz. Jazz shouldn’t have been playing third. That was dumb. He should have played second. I think Gio Yeah. was the last like legitimate third baseman the Yankees have had on their roster. Yeah. Problem. Real problem. Yes. Um, I don’t mean to sound like a boomer, but George would not stand for this having not having a 100% filled roster going. There’s been three There’s been three legitimate third two legitimate major league third baseman on this roster since A-Rod, Gio, and Todd Frasier. Yeah, pretty much. And that’s it. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah, that’s uh And A-Rod was on this team nine years ago. That’s that’s nine years ago. That’s an indictment on cash right there. That’s just you can’t do that. So, get a third baseman, Brian. Thank you. Coming up, previewing the second game in Toronto. Alzheimer’s Day is returning with the game. We’re going to tell you some key players who are actually going to be at the event for the first time, which is pretty exciting. And we have some news from around the league. So the locked on Yankees biggest moments with the locked on Yankees postcast. So Stacy, we have Yankees Blue Jays game two. Yankees really got to beat the Blue Jays. They really have to figure it out in Toronto because it’s been a real problem. Game two will be another 707 start for them in Toronto on the Yes Network. And it will be Cam Schlitler, his second career start against Max Scherzer, who is way beyond his second career start. This is a game you have to take advantage an older pitcher. You have to Max Sherzer has struggled since he’s come off the IELTS to start the year. Um, and this is a we talked about before this series started how big of a start this was going to be for Schlitler and it just got the magnitude went up even greater. He really needs to give him a performance. This is a lot of trust to put in a young kid right now. Yeah, no pressure, Cam. It’s only your second big league start and you’re trying to stop the Yankees from losing six in a row to Toronto in Toronto. So yeah, have fun with that. Yeah, they got lucky uh today in the standings. I mean, well, I mean, Toronto did hurt them, but the team that’s trailing them is the Red Sox, who are two games behind the Yankees, who came into today winning 10 of their last 12, playing really well. Now, they get a rough series against the Phillies. And Stacy, did you see how the Red Sox lost their game on Monday night? Yes, I did. Unbelievable. So, Zack Wheeler gets the start for Philly. Um the Red Sox left that game tied with Wheeler 2-2. They actually were able to get to him. They scored in the top of the sixth. Other than that, Wheeler was, you know, awesome because uh really good. By the way, he had 10 strikeouts still great in Scion contending. You’ll find this cool because your brain seems to work this way. It was Wheeler versus Buer. So, a really weird matchup of names going on there. Walker Buer, who by the way has been terrible for the Red Sox um since signing him. We thought it was a good move. um 572 RA this year has not been good for them this year. You’d think he’d be better. Um but they Phillies won the game today in the 10th inning on a walk-off catcher interference on a walk on a walk-off Jacobe Ellbury special literally. And the funny the funnier stat in the whole thing they scored a run in the bottom of the tenth Stacy without making contact. They never made contact in the game. So, I mean, just unbelievably great stuff to see. Like, that is that is modern day baseball for you. Welcome to the Manford man at second base. That’s something the Yankees would never do in extra innings ever. It would happen to them though for sure. Oh, yeah. I’m I’m actually surprised that the Yankees haven’t lost on a walk-off catcher interference in extra innings because they’re so bad in extra innings, especially on the road, that I’m sure something dumb will happen in the next two months before the regular season ends. Yeah. Just waiting on it. Yeah. Yeah. So, Oldtimer’s Day is going to be back with a game August 9th. The 2000 World Series winning team is being honored for their 25th anniversary. Romero Mendoza, El Duk, guys like that will be back. Klay Bellinger will be there. But there are some first timers who are coming. Roger Clemens, who I’m surprised has never been at Oldtimer’s Day, but it’s true. He’s never been at Oldtimer’s Day. Alonso Soraniano, that should be fun. and World Series game one hero Joseé Viscayeno also making his old-timer’s day debut. Here is the full list of people. You’ll see very familiar names. The 2000 team is marked off in blue I believe if I recall correctly. And uh you know some regulars will be there. Someone who is notably absent, World Series MVP from the year 2000, Derek Jeter. Because Jeter is too good to play a game, but he still can’t go. I don’t It’s possible he has commitments to Fox because it’s a Saturday. Like maybe there’s a marquee matchup on that day. I don’t know what the schedule is, so it might be him doing Fox stuff, but he really does not want to play in an oldtimer’s game. And he doesn’t have to. He can just show up, hang out, watch everyone else. I mean, I saw guys play in the Alzheimer’s gate day game who were like 60 and running around or just he could be a manager. Like he could just manage one of the teams. Team Jeter, there you go. Like manager, manage the Clippers. Like what are you doing? Um, I like that L. Panella is going to be there. 81 years old. Yeah, there have been. Now, if he plays, Jeter looks bad, right? No, he’s not going to play. He wouldn’t play. Um, there have been a few times where it just so happened that Alzheimer’s Day was scheduled on a day where Panella was the opposing manager. Oh, that’s pretty cool. That happened a couple times. Uh, so this does feel late to schedule it though, right? It’s what, three weeks beforehand? Um, well, they tell you what the day is, but then they don’t tell you exactly what’s happening until a few weeks before. So, I’m just glad it’s not a Q&A. I’m glad there’s actually going to be a game. And, you know, seeing some of these guys, uh, like there’s some regulars that you see all the time who are going to be there, but I love that Clay Bellinger is going to be there. Paul O’Neal is gonna love it. Paul O’Neal is gonna love it. Yeah, he’s gonna try and hell run. He’ll be miked up. Coney will be miked up. is uh let’s see Johnny Damon going too. I like that one. Oh yeah, he goes to Alzheimer’s Day. I’m a little disappointed that Jason Giani won’t be there for Alzheimer’s Day. I was there for his first one though in uh 2019 and I was sitting in was I in the last row of the upper deck or the second to last row in the upper deck right behind home plate, but I could I could tell it was him even without binoculars in the dugout. I was like I know that back. That’s Giani. Yeah, I don’t have that experience with him. I wasn’t focused on his uh his his back muscles while he was playing. He still looked the way he looked when he played even in 2019 when he was uh 48 at that point. So why go to Chip and Dale? You could just go to Oldtimer’s Day. Yeah. Um yeah. Okay, Stacy. So from Oldtimer’s Day to an old-timer that’s still in the league. He could be playing in Oldtimer’s Day. Dick Mountain is returning to uh Major League Baseball, also known as Rich Hill, some of you might know him as. Um, he signed a major league deal with the Royals. He’s 45 years old. Rich Hill also looks about 79 years old if you look at his face. I mean, he’s got the oldest looking face I’ve ever seen. He looks like he’d play in the 1930s. Um, it is crazy that he’s going to be playing for the Royals this year. Am I wrong? Crazy. No, it’s it’s not. Um, he was born March 11th, 1980. CeCe Sabathia was born in 1980, and he’s been retired for a while. He’s in the He’s going into the Hall of Fame and Rich Hill is going to be playing. Like that’s Some of these guys can’t stay away. They can’t stay away. They They just love it too much. Um is so wild. And also the greatest alter ego or nickname in all of sports, Dick Mountain. Yeah. Really good one. Dick Mountain is good. And Joe Table was good for Jose Mesa. I like that one, too. Yeah. Um Freddy Freeman, I don’t know if you saw the replay of this from last night’s Dodgers game, got hit pretty much directly on the wrist by a pitch. as if the Dodgers can’t have any less uh luck with injuries this year. I mean, they have gotten killed with injuries this year. They’re in the midst of like a sevename losing streak, too. I Yeah, I can see your hand there playing this world’s smallest violin. Um he But uh they did report today that he is only going to be day by day to day to day with the wrist injury. It looked a lot worse. He got hit, Stacy, dropped the bat and went straight to the dugout. That’s usually a terrible sign. So, they got really lucky with that one cuz Muki Betts is hitting like 230 this year. He is. They’re Yeah. Awful. And someone was pointing out that him and Vulpy’s was it their OPS is very similar. And I said, but Mookie Bets is having one of the worst years of his career. Why are you even comparing the two? You did. That’s not good for Vulpi. Like, oh, he’s doing he’s doing the same as Mookie Bets. It’s like, yeah, but Mookie Bets came out and said, yeah, I’m awful this year. If they could trade him for the Mookie Bets package, the Dodgers give up. I’m I’m all for that. Go for it. Um and then Francisco Alvarez is being called back up by the Mets after spending a few weeks in Triple A. Uh he killed it down there and now he’s back up with the Mets. They’re just trying to get it going with him. Coming up later this week, Fmail Friday. Get those questions in again. 1. WELL, THE ONLY "GOING TO TOWN" I SEE THAT WILL MAKE SENSE IS GETTING RID OF BOONE, THEN HAL STIENBRENNER GETTING RID OF CASHMAN FOR BEING CONVINCED BY "CASHMAN" TO RESIGN BOONE! THE MISTAKE I SEE THE YANKEES DOING IS GIVIN̈G UP THE FARM SYSTEM FOR A PLAYER LIKE SUAREZ, WHO WILL THEN BECOME A FREE AGENT AT THE OF THE SEASON TO THEN HAVE THE YANKEES GET INTO A BIDDING WAR AND POSSIBLY HAVE HIM WALK AWAY LIKE SOTO! HUH? I WOULDN'T GIVE UP SPENCER JONES. NOR LOMBARDI FOR A RENTAL. THERE'S NO TRADE THAT WILL PUT US AS THE FAVORITES TO WIN THE WORLD SERIES WITH THIS GROUP OF GUYS. VOLPE AND PREAZA ARE DUDS! WE HAVE ALOT OF HOLES IN THIS TEAM, THE BIGGEST IS ARRON BOONE, THEN CASHMAN FOR BRINGING BOONE BACK. HAL NEEDS TO PUT HIS FOOT DEEP INTO CASHMAN'S ASS AND TELL HIM TO GO GET A REAL MANAGER OR HE'S GONE ALONG WITH BOONE AND THROWN INTO THE HUDSON RIVER!!! YOU CAN'T KEEP TRADING THE FARM SYSTEM AWAY ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR KNOWING WE'RE DONE REGARDLESS. CHALK THIS YEAR UP AND REVAMP NEXT YEAR WITH A HEALTHY COLE, LUIS GIL, AND CLARKE SCHMIDT. GET RID OF VOLPE AND BRING LOMBARDI AND JONES UP. SIMPLE.

  2. He pitched phenomenal? That’s probably not how I would describe that

Does this guy know that JRam has a no trade clause. And has repeatedly said he doesn’t want to leave Cleveland lol

  3. I am a Blue Jay fan. I disagree with the guy not blaming Rodon. I don't agree also that Yankees are in this game. They are not playing well in everyway. Rewatch the game.

  4. Nah can't compare Volpe to Mookie, Mookie hasn't had the All Star type of season, but still capable, Volpe has a long way to go, to be even considered at that level, and Boone once again in the postgame, still calling Volpe elite, loll.

  5. As a blue jays fan, I love watching your guy’s stream. I agree that Yankees need to make pitchers work instead of swinging for home runs. The thing that I love about this years jays team is they approach the game different compared to everyone else, They strikeout the least, force defense to make plays, get singles and steal bases. Something that’s been missing in today’s game for while. I love watching the Yankees but it can be frustrating when offence doesn’t know how to score runs without the long ball.

  6. "Rodon pitched very well." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 The delusions on this channel never end 😂😂😂😂
5 walks!!! loaded the bases twice before any kind of error
unable to get an out, yet fans should be proud of him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did I mention that Jones strikes out 40% of the time at AAA 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  7. If an infielder doesn't hit, particularly a corner infielder, had better be a special defender, Brooks Robinson, Greg Nettles quality fielder or there is no reason to keep them on the roster. What is the value of bringing Spencer Jones up if you are not going to play him, give him plenty of reps, shear stupidity.

  8. Nothing more hilarious than delusional Yanks fans…once again blaming everything else but God forbid giving any credit to the other team. We would have won without the 2 errors cause our starter Gausman..OWNED you guys tonight.🙄

  9. THE MANAGER AND THE COACHES GOT TO GO EVERY PLAYER WHO CANT HIT JOINS ANOTHER TEAM AND STARTS TO HIT AND GETS BETTER. FIRE BOONE HIRE GIRARDI BACK BRING THAT SWAGGER THE YANKEES HAD WITH GIRARDI WITH BOONE THERE TRYING TO HIT FLIES.

  10. Why don't call up Lombard Jr and try him at 3rd base?? Caleb was traded because of shortstop jam and he was moved to 3rd in Milwaukee so far he is doing great..Lombard can not be any worse than Vivas and Peraza combination..that point of Lombard being a future shortstop is nonsense as long as the yankees don't recognize Volpe is not the solution at the position right now…

  11. Getting swept again is a high possibility.
Rodon deserved better and they BETTER pick up a legit 3rd baseman . Throwing errors make me madder than fielding errors mainly because it’s just a straight throw to a baseman. Why is that so hard

  12. I am a Yankee fan, and I am 63 years old. I have very bad eyes, but I could see enough that Carlos Rodon did not pitch a good game… he walked 5 guys, he seemed to be nibbling away, etc. Look how many people he had on base in the first and second inning, but he was fortunate to get through it. This is on Rodon, too. The defense failed him, but he did not do his job. Rodon always seems to struggle, when we need a much needed win.

  13. Rodon was not cruising going into the 5th. He was grinding away and it was a gritty performance but to say that a pitcher who tied his season low in strike-outs, struggled all night with his control, walked 5 and was in and out of trouble all night was cruising is an interesting take. And to say the Yankees should have won when their offense didn't show up, the pitching wasn't as good as the Jays and the Yanks were not as good defensively….also an interesting take. They certainly had their chances to win, but once again didn't show up.
