And it’s going to start here with this matchup between the Miami Marlins and the San Diego Padres’s from Loone Depot. Par sending out Edward Cabrera for the start in this one. No starter confirmed for the San Diego Padres’s at the time this video is being recorded. Um, but you know, Cabrera, you know, is making his uh his return here. I’m seeing now that I look Steven Kolk listed as the starter for the the Padres. So, we’ll have to see if that ends up being the case. But for right now, Edward Cabrera making his first start since the All-Star break. And last time we saw Cabrera, he got hit fairly hard. Gave up four runs on eight hits. Six strikeouts though over just four innings of work and a loss against the Baltimore Orioles. But I’ll tell you, Cabrera at home has been a bit of a different pitcher. I mean, his last start, seven innings of two-run ball against the Milwaukee Brewers, who are I mean, I mean, I think that might have been one of the last losses that the Brewers took before they started this recent win streak they’ve been on. You look at Cabrera before that. I mean, seven innings of two hit shutout ball against the Minnesota Twins. And, you know, in his last four starts at Lone Depot, Cabrera has gone 20 uh 26 innings of work, given up just three runs in those starts. Now, you’d like to see the strikeout numbers improve, but the walk numbers have been dwindling. So, that’s good for Cabrera. But the thing is is that Cabrera has gotten just a combined five runs of support in those four starts at home. So, the Marlins offense has to be better behind him. But, I think against Steven Kak, who has not been one of my favorite pitchers in this Padres’s rotation, may not be the weak link of the Padres’s rotation, but he hasn’t been. you know, his starts, you know, going into the uh the early part of July were really nothing to write home about. I mean, Steven Kick, when you look at his last five starts, a lot of those he was giving up three runs, four runs in a start. He was making it into the fifth inning, you know, in all those outings, but still 0 and five in that five start stretch. The Padres’s have actually lost. Kak’s last six starts. And K over that five start stretch I just mentioned, a 6.23 erra. not where the Padres’s would like it to be and I think the Marlins can get to Kak for a few runs here. It’ll be interesting to see how they do against uh you know how they do against Kohak in that stretch. But now in the last two weeks, and this is including the All-Star break, so maybe it’s a 10 nine to 10 game stretch, but the Marlins second best in baseball in batting average against right-handed pitching. Their team OPS numbers are solid, third best in baseball. The isolated power numbers are are top 10, so I think they can do some damage. The Padres’s offensively have been relatively ineffective hitting 215. Their isolated power numbers are bottom five. And you know, I think that Edward Cabera can have a strong start at home. Not to mention, you know, in the month of July, the the Marlins have had the best erra as a staff out of the bullpen in baseball. And in the last two weeks, like I said, that 9 to 10 game stretch, you know, the Marlins still third best bullpen in baseball at 1.97. So, I’m going to roll with the Miami Marlins in this one.
