Sean Couturier: “I’m Tired of Losing” | 94 WIP #Flyers #NHL 🏒
How do you go from where you were the last five, six years to where you want to be? Where Rick Tocket as a player was, by the way. Yeah, it’s uh it’s been a while. I feel that we’ve had uh you know, some some big hype and some some really high expectations. Like you said, I think my first year uh when we had Yagger uh G was coming out um you know, Hartnell, Vortek, Zimmer, Shenner, we had we had quite a team there. Um and and that that that first year uh you know I you know I we I feel we really thought we were going all the way and then we got kind of surprised there in the second round by Jersey but uh and then it’s been kind of it’s been kind of a you know we we we’ve been there but not quite um for the last like you said 10 12 years and uh we’ve had some good years along the way. Um never made kind of a a true push but uh I feel I feel I really feel that things are starting to turn around. I know uh it’s been it’s been a rebuild these last couple years, but uh you know, it’s uh it’s exciting to see finally these these young guys come into uh into their their own and and and in filling out their potential and um yeah, I mean, I’m tired of losing and and you know, I want to I want to be back in the playoffs and and and play some some some huge games and and uh there’s nothing there’s nothing better than than playing playoff hockey in front of the Philly fans. So, uh really looking forward to that.
The 94 WIP Morning Show welcomes Flyers captain Sean Couturier, the longest-tenured athlete in Philly. Coots gets candid about the Flyers’ struggles and makes it clear—he’s sick of losing and hungry to play playoff hockey in front of the Philadelphia faithful.
