Inside the 2025 Phoenix Suns Draft War Room 🎥
last three weeks or so we’ve been working on this in our preparation and then we start target list and start narrowing it down and I thought we were very very well prepared let’s get ready and then when Matt Ishbia came into town we were able to present him kind of what our game plan was for today and thinking this is the guy they want so they may take him right now we thought some things might break our way and they really did. I mean, we’ve been talking about Mark Williams for 3 days. Mark is 23 years old and he’s been in the league 3 years. He’s younger than some of the people, some of the players in tonight’s draft. Mark Williams. Get this deal. Getting another big would be good. It’s done. We got it done. We have Mark Williams. You know, I think his best basketball’s in front of him. And coming to Phoenix, I think he’s going to make a great impact for us. Molly watch. He’s a 10. Yes. Well, the only the only way that would would work then is we need Fars to go in the top eight. New Orleans Pelicans Jeremiah Fear. That’s good. There was a couple earlier picks that once it got through, we started getting a little more excited that this could really happen. that uh come on could be in the mix for us. Brooklyn. Wow. Toronto boys just went to Toronto. And then when when 89 went through and we saw it, that’s when the action really started because obviously we weren’t the only organization in the NBA that had such a high evaluation and thought so highly of him. Uh, a lot of calls came in 28. We’re not going to do that one. We had some great offers, but we really believed in him as a as a player and as a person uh and that he could come in and make a positive impact on our organization. Uh so we stuck with him during during that entire process. Come on. Sudan, there he is. Great job, man. got some size. We got a lot of size. How about all that action? Huh? Did a good job managing for us to to to get a guy that was projected on our board five spots higher than where we got is a great accomplishment. And it’s because of all the work that everybody put in during the entire year. I’m going to call Book right now. As you know, we were the worst in the league defensively at the rim. So, we just dramatically improved that, you know. So, it was good day. It was a good day, my man. It was a good day. Yep. So, you were the first call. You were the first call, baby. First call. That’s good stuff, man. That’s good. Your phone’s very happy. He’s fired up, man. When we talk about what we want a Phoenix son to look like and play like and behave like and all those different things that are important to us, he’s right on top of it. Hey, man. How you doing? It’s right here. Come on. How you doing? This is Brian Gregory. I’m the general manager here. How you feeling, buddy? Excited, man. I’m just excited to get a finish. Yeah, it’s it’s you had a great journey and we can’t wait to get you here. I’m I’m with uh Coach Jordan Odd, our new head coach, and Matt Ishbby, our owner. Why don’t you say hello to those two guys? How How y’all doing, man? How’s everything? Great. This is uh Coach Jordan. We’re so excited. Congratulations. Thank you so much, coach. Thank you so much. Take a deep breath, my man. Enjoy it. Enjoy this night with your family. We’re super excited to bring you here to Phoenix. Um can’t wait to get you here, but definitely definitely take the time to enjoy it with your family. It’s a special night. Thank you so much, man. Thank you for the opportunity. I got you, man. Here’s our own. Hey, just we just want to say congratulations. We’re real excited. We were hoping we can get you and we’ve been talking about you for a while. So, just really excited to have you out here in Phoenix and uh do some great things for years to come. Thank you so much, man. I’m so excited to be there. Awesome. Well, we can’t wait to get you out here. Here’s BG right back. Hey, buddy. Who Who’s out there with you? Is your family out there? Yeah, my family. My two sisters are here and um I had them on my table and my team one of my best friends and uh he was on the table with me too. Fantastic. Well, as coach Odd said, enjoy tonight. You’ve earned it and uh then get ready to let’s get to work. Okay. Thank you so much, coach. Let’s go to work. All right. You got it, buddy. Have a great night. Thanks. Have a great night, too. Appreciate you. Appreciate you. Wow. He’s good, man. He’s good, man. He’s good. our kind of guy too. Yeah. Yeah. So excited, man. I feel relieved like knowing where I’m going. Like I feel free. I feel a lot of weight off my shoulders cuz I mean it’s been a tough couple of days and now finally I’m here and I know where I’m going and it’s Phoenix. I go back to our team with with with Josh and Matt Telum and obviously Matt Ishbia here today. um all of us working together to to look at some things that we think we needed with our team with everybody on the same page. It worked out perfectly. Great job, guys. Meet in the morning. All right. Well, it started uh at the end of day one as we went through who uh had slipped out of the first round. Uh we targeted one player. As of right now, we moved all the way up to 31. We felt there was a sincere need uh for Fleming. We just felt it was it was important uh with what we did yesterday to add another piece for our future and we’re really excited about it. Rashier Fleming from basketball-wise, multi-talented, multi-dimensional, can guard a variety of positions, got great length, u highly athletic, shot the ball extremely well from the three this year. Um, and again at 20 years old, no obstacles in his way to to continue that development and that improvement. Hello, Rajir. What’s up, my guy? This is Brian Gregory. I’m the general manager. How you doing, buddy? I’m good. I’m good. Nice to hear you. Nice. Nice talking to you. We’re excited about having you. You’ve had an unbelievable journey and now it comes to Phoenix, my man. Word, man. I appreciate y’all just taking a chance on me, man. I can’t wait. You ready to go? Yes, sir. We are We are fired up to have you, my man. Word. Same. Same. Good. I’m going to turn you over to Jordan, our new head coach. Okay. Yep. All right. For sure. How you doing? What’s up, coach? I’m good. How you doing? How’s the feeling? Unreal. It’s crazy. Enjoy it. Enjoy it tonight. Yes, sir. Enjoy the weekend. We’ll get you out here. We’ll get you ready to go. We’re super excited. Excited to see you here and then where we take you in the future. Yes, sir. Appreciate you, coach. Yep. Rashir, you ready to get to work? Uh-huh. Yeah. I know you do that. So, we’re expecting that every day, right? Yeah. That’s all you going to get. All right. All right. Well, you you enjoy it with your family. Bet. Yep. Yep. All right, man. Congrats. Enjoy it. Thanks, my guy. Appreciate y’all. See you, buddy. Yep. brings all the intangibles that are important to us as we, you know, go on this journey of building us our program back up. Do you want to say 41? He be genius. Do you want to take it 41? Got to figure this out. Between these two guys, you know what I mean? He’s got an NBA skill and he is 67. That’s what makes it tough. I would find either way though. Take a pick a swing. Get the elite shooter. And then he’s an elite shooter obviously at 67. Yeah, they these would be two ways. I’m the GM. We’ll take Kobe Brea. You take the best shooter in the country. He’s going to be on the two-way. Opens it up for whatever we can get on the free agent market. Hey Mike, I’m going to give you the name. I’m freaking tired of waiting. Well, you can give me the name. I can wait if you want me. I can go longer. I think you go down to like five. No. No. Kobe Brea, Kentucky. Okay. Kobe sharing this moment with his family. This is good job. That’s it, man. It’s a good job. Can really shoot it. And he knows how to play offensively. Moves great without the ball. Another guy that is an extremely hard worker, highlevel young man. Uh, fits everything that we’re we’re looking for. Hello. Hey, Kobe. It’s Brian Gregory, the GM. What’s up? How you doing? How you doing, man? How you feeling? Oh my god. Honestly, I don’t know what to tell y’all. So many emotions going through my head right now, but I feel amazing, man. I feel blessed. Well, we’re we’re excited to have you and uh you know, obviously you’ve had a great journey. You put yourself in an unbelievable position, and we are fired up about being with you during these next steps. Okay. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. I truly appreciate that, man. I really, really appreciate that. Thank you so much. Well, we can’t wait to get you out here, my man. Okay, I got you. Yes, sir. Can’t wait. All right, bud. See you, man. Thank you, guys. See you. All right. I’m just like I’m just soaking it all in, man. Really just um I just keep thinking about everything that it took to get here, man. Like, it was just so much. But this feels this feels so so sweet, man. Just happy for me and my family, man. Just it’s crazy. We’re excited about what we did the last 48 hours here. The quality of young man that we brought in, the the work ethic that they’re going to bring, the unselfishness, the grit, the toughness. This was a total team effort. Our scouts did an unbelievable job this year. Just appreciate everything, man. Uh all the work you guys did during the year. uh for the coaches in here. Appreciate everything he did during the draft workouts and for us to be in the position we are right now compared to where we were when it started yesterday. Just great great feeling. So, as we continue to build this, know that you guys are a big part of it. So, I appreciate every single one of you guys. All right. All right. Great job, Michael. Great job. Great job.

Khaman seems like a class act. I hope he turns out to be good. He seems like such a nice guy
ALIGNMENT ARENA is gonna be rockin in downtown Phoenix next season!!!
Brian Gregory sounds confident I’m excited for what’s to come
Seems like there was pushback in the room on Koby Brea pick. Then you hear Brian Gregory go “I’m the GM we’ll take Koby Brea” this is such an interesting video

New nickname for Brian Gregory is “The Chiropractor” because the suns are now ALIGNED
Desperately trying to sell season tickets to account for the many lost to cancellations and non-renewals.
BG standing up for the Koby Brea pick was the best part of the video

Compare with last year , I see the process of trade to grab the player.
This year i do not see that action.
Time will tell. Hopefully we hit on a few of these guys. The roster still needs work. Can we please make an effort to acquire a quality PG?
