And listen, man, devastating news for the Miami Dolphins. Okay, today at camp, there are several things that happened that was definitely devastating for the team. Um, I’m reporting that Arty Burns fear to have torn his ACL in practice. This is already in a quarterback room that seems to be very thin. um trying to figure out who’s going to be the crew that we go with and Arty Burns bringing him in hoping that he would be one of those individuals that would help the team. That is a tough devastating blow for the Miami Dolphins. Um I, you know, I was one of those individuals that kind of believed in Arty Burns. Not like we got a Ramsey, okay, but um that he could have helped us um in some capacity, especially um with that position being very uncertain. So you got a player where you know one thing I I I know about the game of football when you see something like that happen sometimes it can shake up other players as well. Um but yeah look like um now the there is a second opinion being had. So, you know, typically when you know when the report is a ACL torn, it’s ACL torn. But, you know, in the rare one out of every thousand cases, there’s a second opinion that says, well, technically it’s torn, but it’s not as bad as you think it can be repaired and but you know, right now it’s feared that he’ll be lost for the season. Um, again, huge blow for the Dolphins. Not only that, there was another player on the offensive line that was airlifted out of practice. The helicopter had to take him. I still haven’t gotten the details. Maybe some of you have heard about it before me, the details on it, but as of right now, I have no details of what actually happened, but another player was airlifted from um what I believe is the facilities um and taken to um receive medical attention. Um, all I could do is say, you know, offer prayers to these guys. Um, you know, both of them that they make a speedy recovery and that they’re okay, um, above all, um, at the end of the day. But this is always tough. These are tough blows to here coming out of camp cuz we just got started and that’s not how you want to start your camp, you know, with guys um, falling like that. But, you know, it’s beyond the game of football. These guys health are on the line. That’s what’s really most important. All right. Um, also I wanted to talk about a few other things as well. Um, on the show, uh, we got to talk about Tua Takavala’s comments um, regarding Tyreek Hill. We have to talk about um, Ma Fitzpatrick still, I guess, avoiding the media. Um, what does that look like? And we have to talk about some people who might have shined today in practice after I’ve gotten a quick update on some of it. Um, right here on TD Fans Talk, home of the real Miami Dolphin fans. All right, ladies and gentlemen, um, first and foremost, let’s talk about Tua Tagaloa. um met with the media today and had a press conference in which he um said some things about, you know, his health, making sure he could stay healthy for the team and just some general things that we’ve all heard before in the approach of the season. But one thing that was very confusing to me was his comments on Tyreek Hill. I’m still trying to figure this out, ladies and gentlemen, and maybe you can assist me. What is it that Tyreek Hill did? Um, what is it that Tyreek Hill did that was so crazy or said that makes Tua say, you know, you just don’t walk back in the building and say, “Oh, um, business as usual.” What is it? Let me let me look at the exact words that he said. Um, because that was alarming to me. Um, it it didn’t make any sense. And I think we’re missing something here. Um because is Tyreek in the dog house and he has to earn his team’s respect or something like that right now. Um is that what’s going on? And what did y’all say at the end of the game last year? What did Tyreek say at the end of the game last year? I need y’all to give me specifics. What is it exactly he said at the end of the game? here to his comments. Okay. Um, let me get the whole quote because I don’t want to paraprase the quote. Let me get the entire thing. Give me a second. I’m pulling it up now. First, he said his relationship with Tyreek is a work in progress. This whole thing is really confusing me, y’all. Quitting on the team. Yeah. Oh, when Tyreek said, “I’m out.” When Tyreek said, “I’m out.” That’s the sin of the season. I’m trying to understand this. Is that what it is? Tyreek Hill saying, “I’m out.” They have to repair their relationship because he got frustrated with the head coach and said, “I’m out. I’m out of here.” is is worthy of well, you know, we got to repair the relationship. The only player that showed up in that game before he quit said, “I’m out in a locker room.” And he has to repair his relationship with teammates because he said that. Really? The man was frustrated about not making the playoffs for the first time. They weren’t feeding him the rock. McDaniel wasn’t calling plays dialed up for him as much. And this had already been admitted. I think this is deeper. I think this is about Tyreek and those guys kind of taking shots at Mike McDaniel and Tua not liking that. I don’t think this is about Tyreek saying I’m out because that makes no sense. My relationship with Tyreek Hill is a work in progress. So ladies and gentlemen, let’s be clear here. You got a quarterback and a top head like like your lead wide receiver, the one who makes the engine of the team go anyway. And that was proof last year. Tyreek ain’t getting the ball, this team don’t go. So you got your fr quote unquote franchise quarterback and your top wide receiver. We not A1. It’s a work in progress. What is this? The soap opera season. Is that what we we lining up for? This to be the soap opera season times of our lives. I don’t I mean what are we doing here? Is this a soap opera season? It’s a work in progress. Who cares about your relationship? Get to work and win. Get on the same page. Why are we even talking about oh you know our relationship man the only relationship that matters is a business one on the field. What what are we doing here? What are we talking about? This isn’t even for tour. This is for all the people out here talking about this. Are are this what we doing? Our relationship is a work in progress if that’s what we out here focused on. Man, I don’t care if y’all hate each other. Get out there and throw and get some touchdowns. Get on the same page because you’re making me feel like the only reason you say that is because there’s tension and that can translate on the field. Cuz if it can’t translate on the field and y’all A1 on the field, then who cares about all that? What is any of that? I don’t care if you like me even as a team. And that’s the problem. I I just identified the freaking problem in Miami. Everybody want to like each other. They want to get along. They wanted to com this camaraderie thing is overrated. You know what the only camaraderie you need is we in the trenches together. We brothers in the trenches. Outside of that, I ain’t got to see you off the See, Miami, that whole culture of, you know, let’s go out, you know, at the practice. Let’s go out, get to know each other, become friends. Let me tell y’all something, ladies and gentlemen. The biggest lie ever told in sports is thinking that you got to be friends and have like this off the- field bond and everything to win games, to be successful. That’s the biggest lie told that this is this is new stuff, man. Now, nobody’s saying you can’t go hang out with your boys and your guys on the team. Nobody’s saying that. You can be friends, but that shouldn’t have any impact when you go in that locker room, lace them up, and get on that field. That should have zero impact on how you play. It should have zero impact on how you play. And that’s the problem. We we’ve coveted that that environment too much, man. We need a locker room where everybody in there quiet cuz hey man, I man, we out here grinding. We all tired. We ain’t got time to be like, “Oh, we buddy buddy.” And that’s part of the problem. That’s why nobody call nobody out. Yeah, they could talk about they call each other out and they hold each other accountable, but there’s an undertone of we’re friends under it. That’s why every time there’s any little tension between somebody, it gets amplified and one of them got to go. Supposed to be straight business. Ken about work in progress. How is your connection on the deep ball? See, see, I’m trying not to sound like a hater, but listen, I don’t care about your relationship being a work in progress. I care about throwing them go routes in stride and making touchdowns because truth be told, Tyreek been here for three years and the deep ball in stride on the money is still a work in progress. At what point we going to tell Tyreek, you ain’t got to come back for the ball anymore. You can keep flying high. Work in progress. Gotten so bad that some people say that’s a design throw. You know, we try to underthrow it because it’s higher probability of catching it if you come back for it. Oh lord. Work in progress, man. Y’all better be tight tomorrow. Like like I want y’all to really break that down. Our relationship is a work in progress. Really think about that. Like if I Mike McDaniel and I hear that, I’m calling them in the office tomorrow morning and I’m like, I heard saw the press conference. You know, you say y’all relationship are work in progress. I needed to be settled and solidified before we hit the field in an hour. I needed to be settled, solidified. Whatever this progress is, settled. And if you talk about off the field, don’t bring that in here. Who cares? That’s nobody care about that relationship. I care about the relationship in this building. I need all y’all to Hey, let’s get to business. That’s what I’m talking about, man. And you know, people going to be like, “Oh, man. The man can’t say anything without you criticizing it.” Well, I mean, that’s what What do you think they asked the questions for? And he answered it. What do you think we do? We break it down. Like, think about it. You don’t want to hear that your quarterback and your That’s like, man, like, could you imagine Joe Burrow out here talk about, you know, me and Chase, what about you and Chase’s chemistry? It’s been so wonderful throughout the years. Yeah, it’s been wonderful, but our relationship, you know, it’s kind of like a work in progress. It’s crazy to me, man. Like, I just feel like we focus on the wrong things. Tyreek has to earn the respect of the team. He the best player on the team. He ain’t got to earn nothing but go out there and get them touchdowns and do his job. He don’t owe none of y’all nothing. Matter of fact, you still owe him. He the only reason you been relevant. All y’all earn his respect at a team. The best one on the roster. You know what’s crazy? I would much rather all y’all have taken Tyreek approach last year and been that mad. That would have told me y’all cared instead of sticking your hand in your little pockets like it’s cold, man. Tyreek over there quitting. But you know, I don’t care enough to be be quitting. That That’s how That’s how I feel, man. That’s just how I feel. Cuz that’s the truth of the matter. Maybe all y’all should have been just as mad as he was. Did we see anybody else in that locker room that ticked off everybody else? Yeah. You know, it’s disappointing. You know, we didn’t hit the target, but we got to figure it out. No, Tyreek was Tyreek was showing out because he cares. He didn’t want to lose. I know none of them wanted to lose, but at least he wore it on his sleeve. That’s why he was the best player in the game. Even with quitting. Y’all forgot that, too. He was the best player for us in the game. Even at the Even with quitting. Even with quitting, he was the only one showed up in the game. Came back and caught a raggedy touchdown. a raggedy throw. Came back, got it, forced his way in the end zone, ran on the sideline, tried to pump everybody up. Lean on me. Let’s go. Get up. Let’s go. And everybody looking at him like, “Calm down, bro. This ain’t revision revisionist history. Y’all y’all better go back and replay the tape. Y’all better go back and play the tape. the only player that actually showed up to show out was him. And as soon as he realized in a third quarter, man, ain’t none of these guys trying to show up. Man, I’m not justifying him quitting on the team. But don’t act like this man didn’t earn the right to be frustrated. Don’t act like this man didn’t deserve the right to be frustrated. It was not right to say that and do that for your team. But that you should just chuck that up to the game and the fact that he was hurt because he lost. It was his first time not making the playoffs, not going in the postseason. He was frustrated about that. that like like we made this more than it should have been that whole Tyreek thing all and not to mention see somebody said he a diva. Let me let me back up for a second. Is he cuz not to mention did he not sacrifice instead of getting surgery on his hand and missing time did he not sacrifice plan the entire season through that injury? Oh, we don’t care nothing about that. We don’t care about the sacrifices that he made. The fact that he fought his behind all throughout the season. The fact that he was out there running routes for nothing cuz nobody would throw him the ball, getting more and more frustrated. Y’all think he was joking when he said on that podcast, um, I wanted to fight McDaniel. He was joking, but he wasn’t. He was joking as in he would he wasn’t gonna do that. But the sentiment was there like, man, what are you doing? So all this notion he quit on the team, have y’all ever thought about the fact that they quit on him in that playoff game? They quit way before he did. Just because they were present on the field don’t mean that they didn’t quit. They quit in the first quarter. and y’all ignored him. In fact, this man literally played a full season with the wrist injury that should have had surgery and said, “No, I’m I’m going. I’m I’m I’mma play through it.” And didn’t even make it an excuse all season. Didn’t even know the ramifications of it until he said, “Oh, he having surgery.” Something he should have did last off season. We ignore all of that. You know, certain guys it’s easy to just bully and pick on and try to make them out to be the villain because of their history and stuff like that. But nah, it I I just don’t think that’s going to fly for me this time with Tyreek Hill. I don’t think so. I think y’all should be very happy because the last three years, every iod of success you have had has simply been because of him. The reason why you had a good run game three years ago was because of his ability to open up the pass game. The reason why the quarterback started to look like he was competent is because of the dynamic weapon that Tyreek Hill is. The reason why the defenses are so scared and give all that too high is because you have Tyreek Hill. any iod of excitement that you have had for this team in the last three years, that is the man you should credit. And obviously, it is a team sport and there are other people that contributed to it, but he is the game plan. He is the focus of the offense. If he don’t go, this offense don’t go. If he ain’t cooking, the offense ain’t cooking. If he ain’t drawing double teams, we it’s a no it’s a no-fly zone. But we just so conveniently love trashing on them because of a few fumble here or a messed up pass there that he bobbled. And listen, every time Tyreek do something bad on the field, not a Dolphin fan should say a word. Like this man will go out there and and and do his thing for three weeks and be everything we ever needed in one little mistake in one game. Oh my god, what Tyreek is messing up too now. No, no. I’m sorry. At this very moment, I just cannot condone any Tyreek Slender, especially whenever what he got to earn his man. I mean, let me tell y’all another thing. Ain’t nobody in that locker room other than other than the comment from Tua feeling this way. I I don’t even believe it. I don’t believe well he got to earn the respect of the rest of his teammates. Man, tell me which one which one in that crime you know Tyreek did this to us last year and you know I’m not fully healed from it. That that’s how you sound. I’m I’m I’m really not fully healed from you know him saying I’m out. that that hit, you know, man. Man, I need y’all whatever feelings you have about each other, that got to be fixed tomorrow. Y’all need to be out there throwing touchdowns at each other’s um high-fiving, um jump bumping, all of that. All of that. We just had our second day of training camp, ladies and gentlemen. There should be no work in progress. There should be no work in progress for nobody. Is this is where you’re you’re building together trying to have something special for the season. There should be no work in progress. Wh where is that even coming from? It’s a work in progress. What What will signify, okay, we’re over it now. you know, we accept him back like like like I want y’all to really think about this. What are we talking about? He has to be accepted back or something or be back in your good graces or I mean what are we talking about? Like these things make no sense. It’s a work in progress. What is our relationship? I mean, oh wow, Tyreek Hill, thank you for all you do for the Miami Dolphins as a real Miami Dolphin fan. Simple as that. Thank you. Thank you. T Rich in the building, man.
