Aaron Rodgers sees Steelers as one of 10-12 potential Super Bowl winners

  1. It’s all up to him, the offensive line, and the receivers.
Does he have another fantastic year in the tank? I think so, can he and the Steelers bring it out? No idea.

  2. That’s the difference between having Rodgers as our QB compared to Mason or Howard. With the latter two, we’d have no shot at all. Now, there are scenarios where everything comes together and we have a run

  3. It would be a miracle run, but the door is slightly ajar. Not sure we’ve been able to say that since 2020

  4. I think that if things work out how Tomlin/Omar want, we could be the 4th best team in the AFC behind the obvious top 3. A super bowl would rely on the true powerhouse teams choking (chiefs, bills, eagles). I do not see the rodgers hoisting the lombardi but maybe an afc championship game could be in the cards if i put on my homer goggles.

  5. What’s he supposed to say? Repeat the dumb sarcastic statements and memes around here?

  6. That’s great! Waiting until we see who leaves camp on two feet and until they play a few games.

  7. This quote is being way mis-reported out of context because what he ACTUALLY said was 6-8 teams can win, and maybe if things go right you can expand that to 10-12, and he thinks the Steelers are one of those 10-12.

Like he basically said they’re NOT a Super Bowl contender but could be if things go right, which I think almost everyone agrees with.

  8. Disclaimer: just going off the headline.

The issue is the gauntlet of teams the Steelers have to face in the AFC. It’s almost always, for the next decade basically, going to be some combination of Mahomes/Chiefs, Allen/Bills, Jackson/Ravens. Beating one alone is hard. Beating three back to back to back just isn’t going to happen – especially since they’re nearly always away games.

Winning the Super Bowl game actually might be the easiest out of the four. They need to be dominant and get home field advantage to win the Super Bowl I feel.

    TL;DR: can’t w/ AFC and generational QBs.

  9. Well obviously. What the hell else would the news be?

“Aaron Rodgers acknowledges the Steelers have no shot at the Super Bowl this year. ‘This team fucking stinks. What the fuck was I thinking?’ Rodgers lamented after completing his first day of training camp.”

  10. There is literally nothing that I want to hear from Rodgers. I usually despise the “shut up and dribble” perspective but he, of all people, just needs to shut up and dribble.

  11. I’m generally pessimistic about this team considering the recent track record, but you look up and down the roster and it’s like… lowkey he right😂I mean yeah we’re older but holy crap… especially defense, Got CAM with a 2nd rounder and a 1st rounder on the interior, obv TJ and Highsmith rushing the passer, PQ and Payton Wilson (maybe a weak spot), a stud group of corners (even if aging), and a real solid safety group!! And then you talk about that RB corps, OL which should be healthy and hopefully good (looking at u Broderick), ARod, DK, etc? Cmon now

  12. We will win 9 games

I don’t think our division is lucky enough to earn a playoff spot with that record……….

  13. they need to go get Keenan Allen before another contender grabs him in the next few weeks to be in any convo of Super Bowl this season.

  14. It’s a long season. So many things can happen. Seems like 1/2 of the Steelers Ravens games in the past few years involve the Ravens backup QB.

Concussions happen. Achilles get torn. ACLs tear. Any number of injuries to players on the other teams while the Steelers miraculously get by unscathed could tilt the season in our favor.

So buy voodoo dolls of the other team’s players and twist their knees. (Nothing career ending, just enough for them not to be active against Steelers)

Otherwise it would take a miracle.

  15. I mean yeah, if you extend the list to the tope 3rd of the league in week 1 of camp, I can be persuaded we’re among the contenders.

Realistically there’s half that many true contenders and the best of them are in the AFC which makes our outlook a bit dismal
