So, could the New York Knicks be trading away male Bridges to the Detroit Pistons this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving male Bridges and the New York Knicks receiving Jaden Ivy, Isaiah Stewart, and a 2027 first round draft pick. So, in my personal opinion, this trade would be much better for the Pistons compared to the Knicks. Um, just given my initial thoughts here, because yeah, Muel Bridges didn’t quite have the season last year that I think Knicks fans were hoping for, uh, with this stacked lineup with them falling short in the Eastern Conference Finals, etc., but he’s on a really good contract for a player of his caliber. And yeah, sure, maybe the Knicks traded a lot for him in regards to draft capital. And could that bite them in the behind in the foreseeable future? It potentially could, but I would still bet on Male Bridges bouncing back and still being a very good player for the Knicks in 2025 26. And what he brings to the table defensively speaking is really hard to replace, especially with how this roster is built with offensive superstars like Towns as well as Brunson. Having wings like Male Bridges and OG who take pride in their defense and play defense at a tremendous level, I would keep those players. They’re very hard to replace. So, I think the Pistons getting Male Bridges, who can be a nice anchor alongside Kate Cunningham, this is a tremendous move for them uh in the future of this franchise. So, I’m a big fan of Muel Bridges Bridges and I think him going to the Detroit is a great move for the Pistons to make. Now, from the Knicks perspective, if they wanted to get out of the male Bridges business, they’d better be really sure about who they’re getting. And this is a pretty good package. Like, Jade Dy, good young player, could definitely benefit from a change of scenery in my opinion. Uh perhaps going to uh the Knicks next year could be the best thing for him. and kind of fitting into this lineup. Isaiah Stewart as well brings some toughness in their front court. Always good to have that come playoff time. And getting back a first round draft pick, which will likely not be anything in 2027 uh due to the Pistons being pretty good and likely a playoff team. Uh that’s nothing crazy, but perhaps they want to trade that draft pick later on and get back any sort of asset for him uh later on. So, truthfully speaking, not a terrible trade. Uh but if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to go more towards the Piston side of things. But as always, leave your thoughts.
