Marlins vs. Brewers Game Highlights (7/25/25) | MLB Highlights
We’ve got the Brew crew and the Marlins ready to battle. JJ Watt is in town. The Kwae native is gonna be one of the ceremonial first pitches and we’ll take that slider in for a strike. This is the day that the Brewers have chosen to celebrate 25 years in existence of this. You see some of the stars that are coming out, they’re going to participate in the home run hitting contest. Later on today, there is the Brewers ace Freddie Peralta on the mound. He has been light out all year, especially here at American Family Field. He’s been incredible. I mean, 7 to 0 this year at home. He’s only 10 runs here at American Family Field all season long that covers 58 and two thirds innings. And now we’re all set to go. Xavier Edwards digs into the batter’s box and a swing and a miss and this day starts with a strikeout for freddie Peralta. Got him on the fastball. Freddie ready against Jesus sanchez left handed batter and a swing and a miss him way out in front on a curveball back to back strikeouts for Peralta to start his day here is Augustine ramirez batting third for Clayton mccullough. That ball is hit high and deep to center field. That is way back there and it is going to be off the top of the wall. Is it out waiting on a call? And it is a home run finally called by the base umpire Phil Cuzzi. It is called a homer. It is certainly one. The Brewers will want to review , this will be a crew chief review of the home run call on the field. The previous play is under review. There was some effort out there in center field by Blake Perkins. He got a glove on it. The question is, did he get enough of the baseball to keep it in play? It’s in his glove, it comes out , it does not go over the fence right on top of the fence and back in no home run. That should be an easy call. Shouldn’t take very long after review. The ruling on the field is overturned, the ball remained in place. However, however, because the defense stopped playing because of the home run call. The runner will be placed at second. That’s good umpiring right there. That’s well done and just missed low ball, four good eye. So runners on the corners for Lopez rolled to third Durban Fields, he’s going to have the short way to second, they get the force out and Peralta gets out of it with no damage done. Cal making his 20th start of the season in the third start of his career against the Milwaukee Brewers on this Friday afternoon , he’s coming off his best start as a Marlin Bryce Trang leads it off for the Brewers that’s flown in the air to right center field. Sanchez is there on the track to put it away for out number 11 away for Contreras to one pitch swing and a fly ball to center field myers is there and makes the catch for out. Number two, here’s the former Marlin Christian Jelic riding a 29 game on base streak pitch to Christian Jelic is a chopping ground ball to the forehand of the second baseman Edwards. He’s got it and he flicks to first in time 123 innings for Cal we’re through one, no score. Now, two aboard for Dane myers, a lot of pitches for freddie already got away from a little bit against the Dodgers roll over ground ball Ortiz, tough play fires to second in time. That’s how the Milwaukee Brewers right there win baseball games making plays that a lot of other teams in their shortstops probably aren’t going to make top of the order. Now, here’s Xavier Edwards swing and a miss, he struck him out with a fastball. Freddie Peralta goes back to old faithful in the heater and strikes out Xavier Edwards to strand a pair of Marlins on the base pads. Jackson Chio leads it off for the Brewers in the bottom of the second inning and the 32 hit him on an appeal. They said he went around and now Chio was struck out. Let’s watch this. Oh no, that’s a bad call. That is a really bad call. Collins strikes out second out of the inning. Back to back case here for cal first hit for baserunner of the game for the Brewers and Blake Perkins will be the hitter. 12 is cut on and missed another splitter. Contra loved it and he punches out three in the inning. He strains the two out single Kyle. So hitting left fielder walked his first time paces empty. Two men out. There’s a fly ball in the air to deep left center field. Collins is going back warning track ST to the opposite field team leading 23rd home run of the season and it’s one nothing Miami here in the third. Got to change up up. Does such a nice job going the other way. He has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the last two or three weeks. And it continues here today, Lopez with the double and now a hit batter in its 1st and 2nd and 2 outs. And freddie will try to keep this sitting under control the pitch, a swing and a miss and a slams the bat down in disgust and he gets out of the inning with no further damage done. Freddy Peralta to face 89 and one for the Marlins, Paul Myers and Then Edwards, there’s a wave and a miss and it’s another strikeout for freddie Peralta about three in a going back to last inning. So back to the top of the order in Edwards. Now, who is struck out both times against Peralta in this game, 22 swinging him, got him with the curveball and Freddie Peralta strikes out the side here in the top of the fourth inning and all of a sudden, Quattro set down the last six. He’s faced one over the minimum again. There’s two away now for Jackson Chur left center Jackson all business today ties it at one. It’s an 18 game hitting streak. Contra left the splitter up and Jackson set it out to center his 17th home run of the season. And Jackson Chio that star keeps on shining and Contreras going to go out chat with Peralta. Aaron Ashby is loosening in the Brewers bullpen to go. Here’s kyle Stour three and two on ST here it is. Struck him with a fastball. Friday. Peralta strikes out so his ninth on the afternoon 4.5 innings complete, Marlins won Brewers one at one and Rockets Nick. And as usual, he’s coming in with me and this guy in 44 appearances had walked five guys and he’s walked the first two he’s seen today to load the bases. Lopez with two doubles today and is two for three Lopez cracks one to right center. Big trouble here, Perkins able to cut it off. Two runs will score and now the throw is bobbled actually and a third run will score. The third base goes Lopez worst case scenario for the Brewers three runs come in on a big hit by Otto Lopez. The Marlins have taken a 11 ball game and turned it into a 41 advantage here in the seventh outstanding at bat by Lopez Meares just could not to play. And now the Brewers have to bring the infield in for liam Hicks and he tugs the 11 into right field deep going back. Chur, he’s got it but tagging from third and scoring is Otto Lopez and it’s 5 to 1. Miami here in the seventh when all of a sudden the other team starts to make mistakes, you have to be able to capitalize no save in it , but Calvin Foer is going to try to clean this up and take care of the bottom of the ninth , 42nd appearance of the season with a four point 03, a second walk in the inning and you better be careful because the tying run is on deck. Tyler Black is coming to the plate tapper shovels it over the first for the out, second out, 2nd and 3rd with two away and the Brewers down to their last hope here in Blake Perkins. This will be the eighth pitch of the at bat Perkins going out with a fight here and he takes a called strike three to end the game. The borderline pitch goes foer’s way and the game is over and the Marlins win it 5 to 1. Now, the Marlins are playing good baseball right now. They’re hot. They’ve won three straight and they take the first game of this three game series.

Valente Bellozo hasn't been on the mound recently. Why? Is he in the minor leagues? Or was he in the bullpen all day today?

Good job marlins. Got us 2x. Gotta goce credit where its due.
Congrats and thanks to the Marlins…..Let's go Cubs.
Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $100,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. Amen.
prince filder ❤
