Athletics vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | July 25, 2025 MLB Season
Oh my. Okay, that plays. How about starting out the game with a bang? Three straight fast balls and a strikeout to start this one. Swing and a miss. Fast ball is playing for Ryan Gusto. Both of his strikeouts on 96 mph heaters. Hit hard past Zack Short into left field. So, couple of hits in the inning for the A’s. He hits the ball hard. Chaz McCormick on the move and he won’t be able to get there. Gets past him into the wall. That’ll score two runs. Sodstrom into second base with a two RBI double. And it’s through the middle. Base hit by Wilson. Around third comes Sodstrom. He’s going to score. The A’s with three consecutive two out hits have made it a three nothing game. Down goes Butler. Another fast ball strike out with 96. But a long inning for Ryan and it’s three nothing. On the ground towards third to second for one and they turn the double play on Altuve. 12game hitting streak in the first inning. Into center looping and Butler is going to make the play. Lawrence comes on to make the catch. This one’s popped up. Christian Walker in foul territory. Gio Orchella out number one have existed here in the last two weeks that they they need to address in the trade deadline now. Same with the Astros with all these injuries. This ball hit well to left field. Forget about it. Nick Herz, it’s just unbelievable how hard he hits the ball every single time. This guy is in a zone. Not just amongst rookies, amongst major league players. Might be the hottest hitter in baseball in the last two months. He’s two. That had a lot of English on it. Short’s going to move to his left to make the play. And that’ll do it for the A’s. But a two out, two-run home run by Kurt through the season. 66 ABS all year against lefties. And he is not at his hits the ball sharply but on one hop. Jacob Wilson is there and makes a play just in time to get Yiner Diaz. Ball hit pretty well to center field butler is moving across and makes the play in left center for the final out of the inning. Sodrom doubled past Chaz McCormick and hits this ball to right. Cam Smith will watch this one go. Sodstrom hits it out to right. And the A’s have scored in every inning. Tyler Sodstrom leads the team with 58 RBI’s on his 19th home run of the year. 26 active players here. This one’s popped up to Christian Walker again. Oh, Ursella has not been able to solve Brian Gusto, but Tyler Sodrom did this inning with a home run. It’s now 6 nothing. Mick on first, nobody out. Short goes down on strike. Springs picks up his second strikeout. Tapper back to the mound. Springs will go to second for one. And the A’s are able to get through that inning with a double play. Washington Nationals. This ball to second. Jose Alt is there. Makes the play for the first half. As far as being able to get hits and maintain a high average. Gone the other way again deep to left center field and that ball’s off the top of the wall. That’s going to score another run. Chaz’s throw comes in, but it’ll be late. Per three for three, single, home run, and double. We’re only in the fourth inning as he drives in another run to make it seven to nothing. Most recently on July the 11th. This ball hit pretty well to the Crawford boxes. It’s going to be a nine nothing game. One of those runs charged Austo, the other to Hernandez. Shay Langalers hits a home run, his 15th. And the A’s are piling it on tonight. And it’s a nine- nothing game in the fourth. Called third strike. Bottom of the zone. Couple of strikeouts for Hernandez. A home run in between making it a nine nothing game. We’ll head to the bottom of the fourth. Foul tip on that change up that div. That’ll be a strike. Called third strike. Bottom of the zone with the change up. Walker down on strikes for the second out. That’s four now for Springs on the ground. Couple of hops to the shortstop Jacob Wilson. That’ll do it for the Astros in the fourth on Friday night. I like that idea. How about Nick Hernandez? I know he gave up the home run to Shay Langalers, but he is a strikeout machine tonight. In the air to left center, holding up for the left fielder, Cooper Hmel, who puts it away for the final out of the inning. That ball hit pretty well to left all the way back and into the comfort boxes. Zack Short hit number two on the season and the Astros get two runs back. It’s now a nine-2 game. Cam sends one towards the wall and left, but this one’s playable for Brent Rooker as he makes a running catch along the warning track for the final out of the inning. He’s done it again. This guy is truly amazing. It was definitely amazing against the Astros, that’s for sure. Treatment on his face. He had a whole facial done. Very excited about his first one ever. This was during what, yesterday? This is ball playable center field. Long run for Chaz, but he has time to get there. McCormick puts it away for the final out. Strike out for Springs. That’s number five. One out in the six. Keratini sends one to straightaway center. Pretty well hit but playable on the warning track the last couple of years in an Astros uniform. This is a great play by Wilson and he’s able to throw out John Singleton. What a play by the A’s rookie short. Fine drive. caught kind of rattled around in the glove there a little bit but on the ground to third Shay Wickham to Bryce Matthews to John Singleton and the guys who all came into the game for this inning. 47 is that whip eight walks in those 15 innings. Niner skies the first pitch he sees into left field. playable taking two out of three from the Cubs at home. Mariners win in Anaheim on the ground right side off the bat of Shay Wickham in his first at bat. Shay grounds out to the first baseman unassisted. Oh gosh. Oh my goodness. This kid is untouchable right now. I’m not sure I’ve seen a rookie go on this kind of hitting spree in a long time. And I’m going way back. This is unbelievable. Colby Thomas is pinch hitting for Brent Rooker. His first at bat and Ort bounces back with a strikeout. He got Jazz’s attention and it’s a strikeout. So it doesn’t matter. Chaz gets to run in. Although he was in the right position for that strikeout. making a bid but hit it too close to the third baseman Forcella who makes the play. Stay tuned for that and more on the postgame show presented by Waterburger with they do not pick up a home run here. And oh boy, that one’s going to be off the base of the wall on one hop. Andella thought about stopping at first, but once he saw the throw go to second or go to third, he decided to take second for a double. And that’s towards third. Nice play by Sheay. He’ll get the out. Cooper Hmel gives up his first big league run as Butler crosses the plate. But only missed on one pitch to the first four five batters. Oh boy. That’s home. Are you kidding me? That’s home run number four. This dude’s on a tree right now. Four home runs. He just passed Jimmy Fox for the alltime record in total bases. He’s got 19 total bases tonight. The previous A’s record was 16 in a game. Had four home runs, a double, and a single. 19 total bases. Can Chaz get there? Yeah, Chaz. Good thing Jason Bell positioned you in the right spot. Oh, he hit it high and deep. But is it deep enough? No. But it’s at least an Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We win it. There it is. Yes. They let it fall between left and center for a pick the size. Big boy. That ball’s hit pretty well to left, but he got under it. Shay Whit making a bid for his second home run. And instead it falls in the glove of Kobe Thomas who catches this one.

Excellent pitching performance ! Two fabulous games for the home fans ! I must congratulate the young man that had a game of a lifetime. I am happy for you. I'm EMBARRASSED for the fans that had to endure two back to back horrific pitching debacles .
