  1. Start the fire sale. We lost our lease. Everything must go. King, Cease, Arraez, and Suarez. Get fair value and reload for next season. You should be able to get MLB ready talent as well as some top 100 guys. This squadron has lost it’s Joie de Vivre.

  2. If they had gone 14-3 in the middle of July, instead of the beginning of the season, we might think this team is on to something special. They can still get a wildcard spot, but I wouldn’t trade away valuable prospects for a chance to go “all in” this year. Getting some value for Cease seems to be the best option, and just hope they pull a 2024 Tigers.

  3. This team is playing exactly like they did in the playoffs. It’s very depressing to watch. I love this team but I’ve never seen them be so lifeless and depressed. They even had more heart when we were a los franchise in the 2010s. I need a break until the deadline for my mind’s sake.

  4. Honestly lol, been a rough stretch. I’m starting to think maybe the beginning of the season was just the guys all on fire at the same time. Now none of them are hitting well and pitching has been meh

  5. Oh friend … may I introduce you to the great August slump of 2010. You haven’t yet begun to feel the pain!

  6. I think it’s time to stop watching until we see how everything shakes out. Just check scores and such every now and again and half-heartedly hope for the best. But I’m bracing for the worst here. If what I’ve heard about ownership is even remotely true… My emotional investment will be back to what it was in the 2010s (practically nothing). Last year was our only shot, and in true San Diego sports fashion, they blew it. I hate that I love the San Diego Padres.

  7. You think posting about slumps is your ally? I was born in it, raised in it
