[Acee] In conjunction with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Sunday, all Major League teams will be wearing retro caps with Hall of Fame patches on the side over the next three days. The Padres’ cap is glorious.

3. I really wish they were wearing retro uniforms too. Imagine Tatis in the 1980’s or 1990’s uniforms 🤤

5. need them bring this back as an alternate cap, but add the yellow button back for historical accuracy

6. I might be alone but I’ve always thought those hats were ugly. If we embrace throwbacks, I wish we’d embrace the [1998 pinstripes](https://preview.redd.it/ulwdbxpohgx01.jpg?auto=webp&s=0f7f4e936293f286b3231fcc7da62ac1c91e5981). Those with the [navy hat with white/orange logo](https://www.billioncreation.com/product/new-era-5950-san-diego-padres-1998-tony-gwynn-throwback-fitted-hat/) were our best uniforms. I know they’re not brown/gold, but I really wish we went for these as our throwbacks.

8. I hope this is the beginning of the bell cap as a regular alt hat, maybe like how the Cardinals wear the bird on the bat cap on Sundays.

10. 1980 to 1984, brown hat with brown bill, orange eyelets & button, black under bill. Front panel is yellow “bell” shaped with orange outline and brown SD logo, also outlined in orange. This is my chefs kiss of hats.

14. I like the way the whole logo is slightly lower down on the hat so you can see the full S in SD, like Mudcat was showing during the game earlier, or in the pregame, can’t remember. I agree with another commenter that these would be a cool regular ALT hat
