Can I Get Free Parking At A Kansas City Royals Game? #mlb #kc #baseball
How close can we park to Kaufman Stadium for free? All of Kansas City’s major stadiums are famously off a huge overpass with nothing around them but parking lots. 99.9% of the people inside the stadium right now are using those, but they do cost like $30 to $50. My main goal is to get into the stadium without having to walk alongside this overpass. I’m not sure if it’s possible, but that’s what we’re here to find out. Starting at this carpentry school I found across the street from the stadium to shoot the intro. That is not an option for us. I think going down this way is going to be our best bet. I’ve been here for a couple Chiefs games and there was some neighborhoods tucked away just close enough that they were selling parking at their lots. I’m guessing those areas aren’t charging for every Royals game. I just got to find them. Thought it might be into here, but it’s definitely not that. This is one of the most scary things I’ve seen outside of the stadium. Can I park on the side of the road here? Probably. Should I? Probably not. Just got to find this street. I know it exists. Finally found our way onto a new street going away from the stadium. Has a neighborhood watch though, if that matters or anything. Now in almost a full lap, we hit the police department cuz of course it’s here. This is a much sketchier hunt for parking than it would be probably in any city. Actually, I feel good. This could be our spot. 1 hour parking except 7 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. And all we have a 1.6 mile walk of just over a half hour. Let’s swap these bad boys in. I would be lying to say I’m not incredibly nervous about getting my car jacked, but other people are doing it, too. And we have sidewalk. We are just crushing it. And would you look at this? We got a bridge with a sidewalk over the overpass. They say it can’t happen. We make it happen. You find a will, you’re going to find a way. One stadium down, one more to go. I can’t stop laughing about how dumb this is. There’s more than one gray fountain in Kansas City. NC bottom of the fourth. I thought we’d be doing worse than that. See you later, KC. Into the abyss. I don’t think I would do this again, but if you are really broke and really really wanted to swing a game, this isn’t the worst thing ever. This was manageable.
