Guardians vs. Royals Game Highlights (7/26/25) | MLB Highlights
Well, the Royals took game one of this double header in exciting fashion. A five to3 win in 10 innings thanks to one big swing from Jonathan India. A walk-off three-run homer. And so, the Royals go for the double header sweep in game two tonight and enter tonight at 51 and 53. Meanwhile, the Guardians are now a game below 500 at 51 and 52. The Guardians get set to face the 27year-old left-hander, firsttime all-star this season representing the Royals, Chris Pubich. Yeah, you take a look at those numbers. Can he have a real nice year? You see that erra at 238. Steven Quan digs into the left-handed batters box. Road gray pants for the Guardians. 3-2 from Bulbage. High and tight. Ball four. So, a leadoff walk here in the top of the first inning. Having a little trouble with that release point arm side up and in. It’s a seven pitch at bat. ends up in a walk. So with Quan on at first, here’s Anel Martinez. 3-1 to Martinez. Second consecutive walk. Quan heads to second. So two on, nobody out for the Guardians with Jose Ramirez stepping to the plate. 3. He’s walked the first three Guardians in tonight’s game. So we’re past physical right now. We’re well on to mental, but right now, I mean, there is just no way. He just he cannot figure it out. and brings up Carlos Santana. Switch-hitting first baseman. The 3-1 to Santana, missing away. Four consecutive walks to start the game. Quan comes across the plate. The Guardians lead one- nothing. Still nobody out. Four consecutive walks. Aras, he’s three for five. Three for five lifetime against Bubich with a home run back in April. Payoff pitch from Bubic. Swing and a miss. Rios down on strikes. One away. Only the second swinging strike all night, but such a big pitch for confidence and just for this inning. I mean, as bad as it’s been for Bubich right now, he is one pitch away from getting out of this thing with a double play and only allowing one run. Now it’s Jonathan Rodriguez. He gets his first plate appearance. Base is loaded now. Two out. Rodriguez with a line drive. Base hit down the line and right. One run scores. Second run comes home. And the Guardians now lead three nothing. Jonathan Rodriguez with a two out, two-run double. Yeah, Rodriguez really saving them this inning. That ball came off the bat at 66 m an hour. I mean, just off the end of the bat, just flares it, finds some space, but more importantly for Cleveland, it gets them some breathing room. 26-year-old right-hander Tanner Bbeby, record of six and N on the season, takes the mound with a three nothing lead. Yeah, coming off a real good start against Baltimore where he threw seven innings, only three earned runs. This is how he’s going to go after you. He likes that four seam fast ball. But then, you know, the cutter, the sweeper, the sinker, the change. You’ve got to be ready for all those pitches because he isn’t married to any one of those. Here’s Pasquantino. Terrific numbers against Bobby in his career. Seven for 11 with a pair of home runs. Here comes a 3-2 pitch. Swing and a miss. Great change up for Bobby. Pitched at the right time to get past Quantino out in front for strike three. Top of the second, 9-1 and two for the Guardians. Here’s Austin Hedges. Edges batting 117 on the year. Three homers, five batted in. Little roller up along third. It’s going to be a tough play. Garcia throws. Got him at first. Austin Hedges thought he was safe. Nick Lent, first base umpire thought otherwise. Kell Garcia leads off for the Royals. 02 from Bobby. Base hit right field. Leadoff man on for the Royals here in the second. Ready for Maine. steps into the batter’s box on the right side with Garcia at first. The one two for mean this one is well hit deep left field. Looking up is Quan. It’s gone. Freddy Fine with a two-run shot. His third home run of the season. The Royals pull to within one. Freddy Fine doing his best Sal Perez imitation. This thing just kind of hangs up there. It’s a cutter that doesn’t cut. He does not miss it. Jose Ramirez is going to lead things off for the Cleveland Guardians in the top of the third inning. Three to two. Next pitch is hit on the ground to Bobby Wit Jr. And there’s something you don’t see every day. A routine ground ball and he kicked it. There’s Gabrielle Arius. Arius worked the count to his fullest extent in the first inning with the bases loaded. Base hit down the left field line off the bat of Aras. He’s in at second. Ramirez holds it third. So runners on second and third for the Guardians. Still only one out. Two in scoring position. One down for Daniel Schnean. Foul to the catcher first time up. A tremendous game. One reached four times. Right field off the bat of Schneaman. Ra makes the catch. Ramirez tags and scores. And Ras to third and the Guardians now take a 4-2 lead. We get to the fourth in Kansas City. 4-2 lead for the Guardians. Rokio leading off. Fell out to the first baseman Pass Quantino. his first time up. Base hit right center off the bat of Rochio on his way to second and he’s in. Rochio has that play in front of him and really it’s ideal for him because he’s got a left-handed throwing right fielder and a right-handed throwing center fielder. And the way that that ball was hit in the gap, each guy was going to get the ball, was going to have to stop. He recognizes that and gets to second base. Now the infield in with one away for Quan. Really all he has to do is catch the ball with his bat. Drive in a run. Lift it to deep right field. Rave going back. Looks up. It’s gone. Steven Quan with a two-run shot. Ninth home run of the season. The Guardians now lead six-2. Forget just catching the ball with his bat right there. Steven Quan showing some great power. His ninth home run of the year. third in the last three games. He had that two home run game the other day in Baltimore. Huge hit for Steven Quan. Izzy drew a walk. Actually was 0 for one with a sack bun in the first game and 0 for one in this game. Now base hit it to right field. So Isbel leads off the bottom of the fifth with a single to right. Bobby Wit Jr. coming to the plate. A four-run ball game. He’s 0 for two tonight. Two from Bobby and Whit drills this one deep left field. No doubt about it. Two-run shot, Bobby Wit Jr. The Royals pull to within two. And we’ve got ourselves a ball game, boys. Bobby Wit two-run shot. 110 m an hour off the bat. Bobby Wit Jr. has brought the Royals right back into the center of this ball game. And now Quan at the plate, leading off for the Guardians here in the sixth inning. Right field off the bat of Quan. And a diving catch. Did he get it? He did. Yeah. Rave able to make the catch and right to retire Quan. Pitch about belt high. Rave gets a great jump on it and just sells out. A great thing he grabs that right there if that thing gets by him. One sitting on third for sure. Guardian six runs on nine hits. Royals four runs, eight hits, one error as we move to the bottom of the ninth. And Emanuel Claus is on the mound for the Guardians out of the pen. Kansas City down to their final out. Melendez 0 for three on the ground to the right side. It’s Rokio again. Rochio made his first career start at second base earlier today. The ball hit his way by all three Royals here in the bottom of the ninth inning. Class closes things out. The Guardians and Royals split the Twin Bill here in Kansas City. 53 Royals in the opener in 10. 6-4 Guardians in the night cap.

If you know, please let me know, Michael Lorenzen hasn't pitched recently. Is he injured? When will he be back on the MLB mound?
❤
Go wahoo!
Before everyone starts commenting, no it wasnt a balk. Its pretty much impossible to balk to 2nd.
Pretty wild that Clase pitched in both games today
They didn't even show the reverse call at first with hedges. He was safe.
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. Amen.
"Gaurdians" and yall accept it cuz of your addiction to sports ball. Pathetic.
Showing Maikel's single and not his triple was a choice
Battle of mediocrity tonight. Helps that the Tigers are slumping big time I guess. The AL Central is a mess
Did i miss why the guards' hats look like the Cincinnati redds "C"?

Good job guardians & clase good job bouncing back & now go out there & win game three
Super exciting. I think the Royals could squeeze into a wild card this year. If not, next year for sure. Great young talent
Royals still threatened a comeback that was within 2 runs not bad although it was a tough start I'm wondering if the umpire was warming up or Bubic was 😂
Earlier this week I said that the Guards owed the Pirates a Cask of Rum. Now they (and I guess the Royals too) owe the Jays some bottles of Crown Royal 😂
