Baltimore Orioles vs Colorado Rockies | LIVE! Play-by-Play & Commentary | 7/27/25 | Game #105
to go to see a show. But Miss Kate said, “No, I’ll tell you what you can do. Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crackers, Jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root. Root root for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes. You’re out at the old ball game. [Music] Ky Casey saw all the games. Knew the players by their first names. Told the umpire he was wrong all along. Good and strong when the score was just two to two. Casey Casey knew what to do. just to cheer up the boys she knew. She made the gang sing this song. Please take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crack a jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root root root for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame for it’s one, two, three strikes. out at the old ball game. [Music] Greetings, folks, and welcome to live coverage of Orioles baseball, where this afternoon we hope to play the final game of a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies. We being the Baltimore Orioles. uh at Oriel Park at Camden Yards. Excuse me. How you doing everybody? It’s J Pal the Bird Watcher here. Uh we’re back for the final game of this threeame series Sunday afternoon and uh apparently just coming out over the the Twitter feed here. The Orioles game will be delayed due to inclement weather. We will update with more information as it becomes available. [Music] Well, I guess that means we’ll just get to in we’ll get to savor yesterday’s win a little bit longer. Uh today’s game is uh delayed. For how long? I have no idea. I guess I’m going to bring up the uh Baltimore local Baltimore local radar. See what we’re looking at here. Oh boy. All right. Uh well, scattered showers I would say in and around Maryland. Uh there seems to be some heavier clusters of stuff way out in western Maryland, Cumberland area, western Pennsylvania, that’s not really near us, but there are little patches of uh strong storms and uh they are currently in the Baltimore area, so who knows? Hopefully, this won’t last long. Uh, I just found out about half an hour ago, looking closer at the upcoming uh, series against the Blue Jays starting tomorrow, I was under the impression that it was a 4 game series Monday through Thursday and then we headed out to Wrigley Field on Friday next weekend to play the Cubs. That is not the case. Uh the Orioles are making up a rain out with the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Uh regular game Monday night. Tuesday a dayight double header. Then a Wednesday getaway game. Thursday off and then Friday out there in uh Chicago. So it’s going to be And then in Chicago, three straight games as you would expect, daytime games in Wrigley Field. So, there’s going to be a this is going to be a tough uh this is going to be a tough week starting right now. A rain delay and then uh a double header. Uh an afternoon game. Got a day off in there and then three more afternoon. Yeah, this is going to Yeah, I’m going to have to pace myself, folks. Uh, all right. So, we’ve got plenty of time to uh go over stuff and who knows how long we’ll be here. The the big news, big big news. Let’s see how big is this news. Adley Rutman and Keegan Aken are both expected to be reinstated tomorrow. All right. So, we’re going to make a couple of uh roster moves to make space for Adley and for Aken. I would assume uh who is it? Haraldo is probably the the uh the uh last guy on the uh depth chart currently in the uh bullpen. He was the most recent call up. So, I would assume he’s the lowest guy on the totem pole. He’ll probably make way for Keegan Aken. And then I think uh based on what I’ve seen uh Austin or I say Austin again, Alex Jackson, what do you think? Charm City chat, you tell me. Uh the Orioles uh Chadwick Trump has uh left the team. Maverick Hanley is still uh going through uh rehabilitation. It’s going to be wild for him. Rutman’s coming back. Obviously, he’s our number one catcher. Who do you want to stay around as the backup and who do you want to see uh, you know, sitting down or let go? personally, even though Jacob Stallings was brought in first and looked to be sort of the top of the two catchers uh between him and Alex Jackson, I I would rather see us uh hang on to Alex Jackson as as the backup because this dude uh can hit. And if Stallings had shown me uh better defense than I’ve been watching, maybe I would prefer the better defense over uh a better bat for the backup catcher role. But uh to me, what I’ve seen, Jackson and Stallings are pretty comparable defensively. And then Jackson is swinging a really hot bat. Uh I know the home run yesterday was off a position player, but I mean he just went up there first pitch and uh he’s in a hitting mode. He’s got several extra base hits and very limited playing time. So I’m hoping Alex Jackson sticks around and Jacob Stallings makes way. Kyle Bradish will get a start on Tuesday at DoubleA Chesapeake and the day after Tyler Wells will make a start. The Orioles are going to have to make a decision about who’s going to pitch the second game on Tuesday with the Blue Jays. Again, I was looking at the schedule wrong. I thought we were playing one game a day all week long, but because of this double header, not only is it going to be difficult to cover for me, it’s going to be a situation where the Orioles will probably have to dip back down to the farm and either bring back Brandon Young or give somebody else a spot start. I wouldn’t mind uh seeing us give another arm down there uh a spot start again. We’re at a stage of the season right now where we kind of know what our fate is and I’m in the mood to kind of see what we got. Uh, so if there is an arm down there that is comparable to a Brandon Young, somebody that could possibly uh not get completely embarrassed if we called him up. I’d like to just take a look at another arm. I think Chase Mcder is still hurt, but uh it might be I don’t even know who it might be. Like when Brandon Young was called up, I had I did not have any uh I did not have him on my radar. Uh looking at Mcder at the moment. Let’s see. Is he uh is he active? Is he active yet? 2025 stats. Wow. McDermott has actually been really really roughed up in the minors this season. McDermott in the Miners uh has a 1 and8 record with a 7.71 erra in 11 starts a whip just under two. Yeah, I guess that’s why we haven’t been hearing much from McDermott. Whether he’s hurt or due to bad performance, maybe not the guy you want to see called up. Not a good year for McDermott. All right. Um, let me check something over here. We are in a delay, folks. Let me get this uh massing game up. I’m listening in to see if they give me a a hint about how long this rain delay is going to be. All right, they’re just kind of going over yesterday’s game and gushing about the game. Hey, why not? Why not? That’s a comment I left on the uh highlight package. I should go back and check and see if uh what kind of response it got because I just happened to be on YouTube like the same minute the they released the highlight package of the game yesterday and I just wrote in a quick comment like you know hey the Orioles have got a lot of problems but uh maybe for one day we can just forget about them all and appreciate at a game like this cuz uh that was something. Wow, it got 53 likes. All right, that’s good. I was always I was I was just planning on somebody going, “Well, it it was the Rockies, man.” And of course, I made a mention of that. I’m like, I know it’s the Rockies. Okay, but uh yesterday was fun. We had some fun yesterday. Are we allowed to have fun for one day this year? Uh, I certainly enjoyed it. 18 runs. It was a said Mullins’s legacy game. If uh Mullins doesn’t stick around for us, uh what a sendoff that would be uh for said. Another amazing catch, a three-run homer. Everybody in the team had a hit. Everybody. 12 guys scored a run. that’s never been done. Uh, it was ridiculous. It was a ridiculous. Uh, it’s just so weird. I mean, whenever we get our asses handed to us, we seem to be compelled to analyze it, break it down, point fingers, and spend a lot of time going over a bad loss. We have to admit though, we get we win the game like yesterday. We just talk about it for a little bit, right? We should be talking about it. I mean, is it a sign that suddenly we’re the hottest team around? No. But, uh, it was just it was just an incredible game. 18 zip. All right. Sodto did not pitch for the Mets last night. He has yet to make his debut. It’ll be today then. They’re going to want to get him in there. Who are the Mets playing this weekend? Hey, there’s delays all over the place. Red Sox and Dodgers are in a delay. Phillies and Yankees are also in a delay. Those are the three games that so were supposed to have started at this point but won’t. Mets are playing the Giants. Thanks, Carl. How you doing there, Charm City chat? Let’s check in. We’re in a rain delay. We got Frank Baker here. Robert Prescott, Alan Piles, Dan Joe’s back, Chilow’s here, Matt Christian, uh, Momes, Dennis. I live in Baltimore City and ain’t raining yet. They could play a couple of M&M’s to it start draining. Uh, yeah. I don’t know if it’s raining there right now. I actually I’ve got a live shot of the ballpark. The tarp is out there, but there are fans sitting in their seats as if there’s no rain. Not a whole lot of fans, but fans that would not be sitting where they were if the weather was all that bad. Uh I I I would say there’s maybe just a thousand people scattered around. Maybe upper deck another thousand. Uh so yeah, it’s a rainy day by the way. That Jordan Westber bobblehead game, I thought it was against the Rockies. It’s not. It’s uh tomorrow. Go on out tomorrow night, folks, against the Blue Jays. Get yourself a Westber bobblehead. Also, uh just go out because the Blue Jays are coming to town. They got the best record in the American League at this point. Maybe the best record in baseball. It’s time to play spoilers, folks. It’s time to play spoiler. Four games against Toronto and a chance to uh to rain on their parade. I guess I kind of stopped looking over the names here. Uh Momes, Jacob is here saying, “Yo, Rob, let’s do what we did yesterday.” Charles Burgerer, Ronnie, uh, Edward. There’s two different Edwards. We got a Bowers. We got a Cantor. Hello to both. Warren is here. Doug says he hopes the border dispute gets settled. Thanks, Doug. Yeah. Uh, look folks, I don’t use it as any kind of like coverall excuse. You know, I have to uh, you know, and deal with stuff going on outside of doing baseball streams just like everybody else has got their stuff going on when they’re not here in the Charm City chat. But uh yeah, there is some pretty tense stuff going on over here in my neck of the woods and uh it’s definitely uh taking up uh a lot of my uh uh day and time and thoughts and it’s Yeah, I’m a little bit on edge about it. A little bit on edge. So, if that kind of comes across in my play calling or just my overall attitude here, uh I I I wish I could not let it affect me, but uh it’s hard to it’s hard to ignore. It’s hard to ignore. Anyway, uh thanks for being here, folks. Kurt M is here. Uh Brian Pearson, Frederick Mack. I think I got everybody. How’s your day going so far, sir? Besides the game and besides how the Orioles season’s going. Well, my day is kind of I don’t know if it’s wrapping up or just getting started. I I got in about 3 to four hours of sleep before this uh game time, which for me is now 20 minutes to 1:00 a.m. I’m glad I got that sleep in with this rain delay. Who knows how long I’ll be up because I was planning to then go back to bed by like 3:00 in the morning and get another 3 to 4 hours in and just split my sleep time up down the middle. Few hours on the front, few hours on the back. But I don’t know, this rain delay could really throw a wrench into some stuff. In fact, now I’m just thinking, well, I didn’t really prepare with like a a nice beverage or a snack. Maybe I should be running down to the 7-Eleven right now and getting me a snack. Now would be the time to do it. It’s warm in here, too. 3 to four hours typically. I I I’ll get more spur. Uh, but sometimes I just have to split it up. You know, I know I don’t get that deepm sleep that I’m supposed to get, but I’m used to it at this point. I have a medical condition uh that just makes it extremely difficult to sleep more than a couple of hours at a time on any night or anytime I lay down. Um, eventually you just get used to it. It’ll probably uh shut my body down quicker on the back end of my life than the average person, but uh you know, you got to deal with the hand you’re dealt and uh that’s my hand. I’m a guy that just uh can’t lay down for seven seven or eight straight hours and sleep. The few times it happens, uh I cherish it. It’s I’ll talk to people all day about it. I slept all night last night. The whole night was awesome. Chilo wants to play yatsi. Oh boy. All right, I’m going to go get something. Uh, I think I’m going to get a a classic iced coffee drink and some sort of uh snack to uh Yeah, I need to I need to do this. Let me check uh one more time. Is there any update on this? Okay, start time 2 p.m. Oh, wait. It’s 1:41. That’s 19 minutes. All right, I’m going to book it downstairs, folks. I’m going to book it. I gotta run. I gotta go. If I’m going to go, I gotta go right now. Folks, uh, are there any mods here? I don’t see uh Rob. Rob, you’re here. Rob, please uh give, you know, periodic updates in the chat uh saying that we’ll be back uh momentarily. M Matt is here as well. Okay. Here’s my hat. All right. Uh the hat will be here. The hat will be here. All right, folks. Uh, I’ll be right back. Thank you. [Music] Wow. Wow. Oh, he met a strange friend in the Chesapeake Bay. All right, folks. Guess who’s back? Bdub’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Bdub’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. Guess who’s back. All right. Uh, I have uh some food and drink. Welcome everybody. Uh, we are ready for baseball in about 7 minutes, give or take. And uh, yeah, another beautiful microwaved Thai meal that I get to share with you. Oh yeah. Take a sniff. Pull it out. The taste is going to move you when you pop it in your mouth. I always thought those Juicy Fruit lyrics were a little too suggestive. Really? Take a sniff, pull it out. The taste is going to move you when you pop it in your mouth. Really? These are the lyrics. Juicy fruit. It’s going to move you. It gets right to you. Juicy fruit. The taste. The taste. The taste is going to move you. Yeah. Uh, standby. There we go. Got this. Got this. Got this. Rhino. How was that 62-6 game here? Come on, man. I thought I was seeing things. I’m tuning in to Rhino’s channel about 20 minutes before going on the air and I’m watching my boy call a game. I think it’s a football game. And the score is 62 to nothing. And it’s not even like a college game that you would expect a score like that from. It’s uh European football, right, Rhino? Hey, there’s my uh brother Matt. How you doing, Matt? Good afternoon to you. Good night to me. It’s about 5 minutes till 1:00 in the morning over here. I should do less talking right now and more eating while uh the getting is good. But we are apparently five minutes away from the start of the ball game. Let me quickly go through the pitching match up and the starting lineups. Tomiuki Sagano is on the mound for the Orioles. He’ll be matched up against a lefty for the Rockies by the name of Austin Gamber. Gumber has an RA of 6.03. Sagano is 4.54. Here is the Rockies lineup, the visiting team. Tyler Freeman will lead off and play in right field. Mickey Monia will bat second and play center field. Ezekiel Tovar is the third is batting third, playing shortstop. Jordan Beck, cleanup hitter in left field. At second base, Tyro Estrada, he’s batting fifth. Hitting six is Yankeiel Fernandez. He’s the DH. Uh warming Bernabel will get his second major league start at first base. He’ll bat seventh. Uh Nola is the catcher hitting eighth and Orlando Arcia at third base hitting ninth. For the Orioles at second base leading off today, uh Jordan Westber, Jackson Holiday getting a day off. Westber will lead off and play second base. Lauraniano will bat second and play in right field. Gunnar Henderson is uh the shorts stop hitting third. Tyler O’Neal who is starting to heat up with the bat is going to DH and do the cleanup hitting. Raone Aras gets a start. He’ll bat fifth and play at third base. Said Mullins legacy game yesterday for said he will hit sixth and play in center field. Kobe Mayo will bat seventh and play at first base. Dylan Carlson will get a start in left field. He’ll hit eighth and Alex Jackson will do the catching and bat ninth. Jackson’s now hitting .304 after that pinch hit home run yesterday. All right, so there’s all that stuff, folks. I’m going to start munching down. Uh probably best to uh do that off camera, right? I’ll uh I’ll pepper in a little bit of conversation. If you guys got some questions or topics you want to discuss, just go ahead and throw them out there in the chat. Looks like we got a new magic member. Oh, it’s a member for one month. So, Bucks Ray Boltz is exercising a free uh Magic Member super chat saying, “What’s up? You are the best.” Oh, I’m not the best. I’m the best at calling oral games on YouTube. I’ll give myself that uh title, but just the best in general. Nah, but I appreciate it. Thanks, Bucks. Raisebolts folks, become a magic member so you too can send me uh shower me with compliments. Okay. Message for you, son. I offer you the opportunity to join me in glorious battle. All right. Get yourself some binoculars. Nice binoculars. All right. Uh, drink food. I’m here. I’ll just be tapping some buttons, playing some sounds while I’m eating just to provide some sort of uh audio coverage during uh the next few minutes. All right, hang out. And uh what do we start with? Uh, let’s go with a classic Yankee clip. There’s the one two behind the to right center field. There’s a base hit. And that one gets away from Jazz. Another run is in. More bad defense from the Yankees. It’s 7 nothing. Jazz couldn’t handle the throw coming in from the outfield. And just like that, it is a seven to nothing ball game. I just [ __ ] take the whole team off the field, man. Take the whole team off the field. Take the whole team off the field. Take them all. Get them all [ __ ] out of here. I’m so done. I I can’t even look at this anymore, man. I can’t look at this [ __ ] anymore. This is pathetic. This is This is This is truly disgusting. This is disgusting. Oh, wow. Here he comes. Let me show you what I mean now. By the first thing you do is get right up in their face. You point the finger. Then if you can’t get close enough, you turn the hat around and kick some dirt. And then if he’s missed a sprite, you get over here and you put dirt all over the thing. You throw the hat down. You pick it up. You throw it. And then you’re so bad you throw them out the game. You’re out of here. That’s the way a major league manager. I learned something. This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express and I’m talking to whoever is listening out there. Boy, Harry, you’re as you’re full of energy. You look great. I hate to tell you how I feel. I I’ve had that bad back myself. Also, with this cold, it just seems like it’s settled in there. That’s age, friend. I don’t care what it is. It feels awful. You smell like a drugstore. That’s right. Hey, I am a drug. You’re not a hypochondric, are you? What does that mean? Over sexed with call it the Baltimore miracle or some [ __ ] The 32 pitch hit in the air to right field and deep and the Mets have taken the lead. [ __ ] this team. Stick a fork in the Yankees. They’re done, baby. Stick a fork in. [Music] Dropped the big one. What? Over. Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is. Swag ass. Yes. [Music] Sick. Bacon. Bacon. Where’s the bacon? I smell bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Got to be bacon. Only one thing smells like bacon. That’s bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Bacon. There bag. What’s it say? I can’t read. Please. Please give me what’s in the bag. Chewy, yummy, smoky bacon. There you go. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. It’s bacon. No, it’s bacon strips. Brand dog snack from Pyina. Bacon strips. Dogs don’t know it’s not bacon. It’s bacon. This game is just moments away from starting, folks. Moments away from starting. How about this? Peace. Dope. Now get the hell out of here. Hey, [Music] Good morning. Bye bye birdie. All right, folks. I’m just going to have to eat the rest of this in the next half inning. We are ready for baseball after a brief rain delay. Final game of a three-game series. Orioles versus Rockies. How you doing everybody? It’s the bird watcher here. Tomyuki Sagano rocks and deals. First pitch of the ball game is hit in the air to right. Coming in hard and making the catch is Ramon Lauraniano. His momentum taking him all the way into the infield dirt. Long run for Lauriano. One pitch, one out. Mickey Moniac coming up next. Let’s see if this scoreboard is working. Sagano pitches to Moniac and the first pitch is a strike. Moniaak batting 273 with 16 homers and 40 RBI. He’s had a hit hit streak going that I think was still uh going as of yesterday. He’s hitting over 400 in the month of July. Ball is hit in the left field and slicing into the stand. Well, not quite into the stands off the screen down there for a foul ball. One ball, two strikes. Just getting started, folks. Top of the first, one out. Base is empty and the one two to Moniac low and in two and two. Are we talking about Alex Jackson? Who’s Austin? I remember Austin Jackson. He came up with the Tigers and I keep calling Alex Jackson Austin Jackson. But if he keeps hitting the way he has been, I’m not going to make that mistake anymore. It Why is it so hot in here? Is it the food I just ate? It’s spicy, but damn. Two and two. The countmoniac. I need to cool off. Holy cow. Fouled back. It’s still two and two. Oh, Austin Nola. Thanks, Edward. Austin Nola, who’s at third base today, right, for the Rockies. Oh, he’s catching. Sorry. Swing and a miss. All right, I will I will wake up here momentarily. We got a first strike out for Sigano on a high fast ball. Moniac is down. Two away here in the top of the first. [Applause] [Music] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Mr. Splash is already uh getting the crowd wet out there. I guess they’re just begging for some uh relief. Ezekiel Tovar takes ball one. Right-handed hitting shorts stop batting third today. Swinging a miss. He went chasing a Sagano pitch that was well outside and low. Just 10 pitches so far from Sagano, but uh and I know it’s the Rockies here, but some encouraging uh encouraging signs here. Swing and a miss on another ball chased off the plate. And that is another encouraging uh pitch. One, two. That’s lined up the middle for a base hit. All right. So much for encouragement. Uh that one’s hit pretty hard up the middle. A two out single. 100.9 off the bat. Two down. And that’ll bring up Jordan Beck. I gotta go uh turn something on. It is stifling hot in here right now. I am mel I’m melting. I am melting right now. Jordan Beck takes a little bit outside for ball one. One moment, please. Two and0. The count on Beck. Runner at first. Two out. Make it three and 0. That pitch not close. Ball four. A four pitch walk to Jordan Beck. All right. Now I’m seeing red flags. What a difference a couple of batters makes. Sagano gets the first couple of guys out relatively easy. And now a hit and a four pitch walk puts two on with two out. Tyro Estrada a comebacker to Sagano. He will jog halfway to the bag and then flip it to the first baseman for the put out. The inning is over. A hit and a walk, but no damage. We go to the bottom of the first. It’s the Rockies nothing. And the Orioles are coming up. [Music] All right. I’ll still be off camera here for a minute chowing down. So, hang out and uh do your thing. All right, folks. I’m starting to adjust. I’ve gotten really into running 10Ks. I garden now. And I even bought season tickets for the Orioles since that’s what guys who can’t satisfy women do. What? What? What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul. [Music] life. Do you hear me? Give my creation. [Music] [Music] He met a strange friend in the Chesapeake Bay. Well, West is that way. [Music] First pitch to Jordan Westber is fouled back. We are underway in the bottom of the first. Rockies didn’t score in the top half. Westber getting a chance to hit lead off against a left-handed starter with Jackson Holiday getting the day off. He takes low in. One ball, one strike. popped up to center field. Easy play there. One down. Raone Lauriano is batting up in the two spot today. Raone just threw a rock at me. He takes a first pitch fast ball at the very top inside corner of the zone. Strike one. 273 average. 14 homers, 43 RBI. Gomeberg goes back to the same spot, but it’s a little bit high. One ball, one strike. That one is spiked in the dirt. Two in one. Pitch is fouled back. Two and two on Lauriano. What’s the uh temperature out there right now? 22 pitches inside full count. 96 degrees at game time, folks. And you know it’s muggy out there with the threat of rain in the area. Pitch foul back. Still three and two on Lauraniano. [Music] Here comes the payoff pitch in the dirt. Ball four. Take your base, Raone. I’m walking here. I’m walking here. I’m sneaking in a few more bites. Gunner Henderson at the plate takes a pitch low for ball one. His name’s Gunner and he’s dating my mom. Over the plate, but low again. 2 and0 on Gunnar. [Music] Two pitch hit toward first base. It’s a fair ball. Uh it’ll be handled there by the first baseman for an unassisted put out. The ball just sort of dropped at his feet. Bernabel, the first baseman, didn’t really have a play at second, so it’s a ground out. Runner moves up into second base. Lauraniano with two down. Tyler O’Neal a chance to drive him in. Anneil has been uh warming up. Takes a big curveball in there for a strike from Gomber. Aoy there. Anybody home? is Charm City Chanhome. Hello. 01 pitch is popped up. First base. Burnabel onto the outfield grass makes the catch and the inning is over. The Orioles get a walk and one man is stranded. We go to the second inning. No score in Baltimore. Stand by, folks. All right. Oh, boy. Okay. Okay. How we doing, folks? We’re going to the second inning. No score. Oh, it looks like I need to refresh that scoreboard. Still says a delay is there. Yank Fernandez takes strike one. Left-handed hitting DH for the Rockies, batting 209. And he takes a terrible swing there to make it 0 and2. Does it still say delay up there? Why is that swing and a miss? It’s a three pitch strike out of Yankee Fernandez. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. Are you here? Sugano a strikeout pitcher today. Burnabel making his second major league appearance. Yesterday was his debut. Warming Bernabel. Folks, what do you think of that name? Warming 01 pitch. That one said hard to left. Backing up and looking up. That ball is gone. Well, warming just got hot. It’s his first major league home run. Sagano gives up another long ball and the Rockies take a one- nothing lead here in the top of the second. That ball just clearing the fence in left field. folks. Last year’s wall, that ball is an easy out and not not now. Austin Nola at the plate takes strike one. One- nothing Rockies. Top of the second. This ball is hit toward the opposite field. Lauraniano is there. Makes the catch. Two down. Well, today is the day that warming Burnabel hit his first major league home run. We were here for it. Orlando Arcia fouls away the first pitch he sees. Arca came into this series with a pretty low average and it’s only gotten lower. He’s hitting 168. This ball’s hit to right. Lauraniano is straddling the warning track. Makes the catch and the inning is over. But the Rockies get the early lead. They’re on the board first. A solo home run from warming Burnabel. We go to the bottom of the second. Colorado one Baltimore nothing. All right, folks. Well, my stomach says thanks for that meal. The drink is tasty, but I swear it feels like I’m sitting in the stadium right now. 98 96° or something. It is hot over here. I don’t know why. Maybe my air conditioner needs another filter change or something. It’s not pumping that cold air through here. Yeah, Ryan Mount Castle is in the lineup again today for the Norfolk Tides. He’ll be back shortly. Rutman’s going to be back tomorrow. Keegan Aken’s going to be back tomorrow. Kyle Bradish, we’re probably less than 10 days away from seeing his debut. I think one more rehab start for him. Uh Tyler Wells, maybe an extra week more than that. So, we may be sellers at this trade deadline, but uh when you look at this roster in a couple of weeks, you would have thought we were buyers. We’re going to get some reinforcements back in here. It’s not going to be enough to help turn this season around, I’m afraid. But uh what can you do? It’s hot here, says Gary. Here is a chopper hit slowly to second base. A little bobble there, but still enough time to get Raone Aras. Aras grounds out to Tyro Estrada. Four to three in the put out. One down in the bottom of the second. There’s a called strike to said Mullins. Said, “What a game yesterday for said Mullins. know what to do. That pitch is upstairs. One ball, one strike. Said Mullins with another electrifying catch to add to his uh highlight reel. One- one pitch up and away. Two balls, one strike. That one’s a little bit outside. Three and one. Someone said yesterday we used up all our offense. Now see, Chilo, that’s just what I’m talking about. Even yesterday in a historic win, 18 zip, the biggest shutout win in the history of the team. There’s going to people be people out there go, “Well, we used up all of our offense, though.” Like, can’t we just enjoy that game? That should let you know who a fan is and who just somebody who’s perpetually a wet blanket. That is ball four to said Mullins. It’s a one out walk. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Like folks, I get it. People out there, you have problems with Mike Elias, you have problems with the organization in general, you have problems with certain players, you don’t like this signing, whatever the case may be. If you can’t just sit back and enjoy yesterday’s result, then what are you watching this game for? Kobe Mayo crushes one to left. That ball’s going to bounce up against the wall for extra bases. Mullins will stop at third. It’s runners at second and third after a double from Mayo, his seventh of the season. Splash it up. Splish. Oh, nice swing there on a curve ball from Gomber. A pitch coming low and in on Mayo. He got the bat head down and hit the crap out of it. Second and third, one out. Big big spot here. You got to produce. Dylan Carlson get that tying run in. He takes a first pitch strike. It was a tough one. Top inside corner of the zone right in on the hands for strike one. Carlson’s hitting 231. Switch hitter batting right-handed here. That ball’s lined. Base hit into left field. The tying run will score. Here comes Mayo from behind. He slides in safely and it’s a two-run single. The Orioles have got the lead. Just like that, Dylan Carlson a two-run base hit. Two to one Baltimore. All right. [Music] [Music] And here comes Alex Jackson, the number nine hitting catcher for the Orioles. who’s batting .304 right now. All this guy does is get extra base hits. 01 pitch foul back. 0 and2. Carlson at second base. So he made it up to second. That’s not a double. He gets the extra base on the uh throw toward home plate, but that’s a big extra base that takes the double play out of order. Curve ball called strike three at the top of the zone and Jackson is down on strikes. Two down. Back to the top of the order for Westber. West is that way. Yeah, Kobe Mayo with a pretty slick slide for a big guy. Westberg first pitch swinging pops it up to right field should end the inning and it will. But the Orioles respond with a pair of runs on one swing of the bat. A two-run single by Dylan Carlson at the end of two. The Orioles lead it two to one. How about that, folks? [Music] Yeah, Kobe Mayo is starting to figure it out and we’re going to spend the next couple of months watching Kobe Mayo turn into a big leager. Folks, you don’t waste a game. You don’t waste a a week, a month, nothing. This last place team again, it may not be our season, but uh we’ve got plenty of things to work on, plenty of things to to watch and hopefully enjoy. And one of those is the maturation of one Kobe Mayo. They will, John. They will play Kobe every day. I’m telling you right now, as soon as this trade window is over, it’s mayo every day until the end of the season. Everyday mayo, folks. It’s going to be like getting tuna fish sandwich in your uh lunch bag. Mayo again, you’ll be saying, right? Looks like the Yankees are mad. Yeah, they’re always mad. Folks, go out to the ballpark tomorrow, get yourself a Jordan West bobblehead, and then mail it to me. Thanks. Top of the third. Freeman, the leadoff hitter for the Rockies, will lead off the third inning. He’s 0 for one. Takes strike one. Freeman has been shut out of this series. 0 for8 at the plate. One ball, one strike. What’s going on with them scoreboard over there? That’s a strike. Knee high on the outside corner. Swing and a miss and another punch out for Sigano. Folks, the strikeout pitch from Sagano today. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? [Music] Mickey Moniac takes a pitch outside. Looked like a splitter for ball one. Moniac struck out his first time up. That one’s tapped. Foul. One ball, one strike. What happened to the scoreboard? It’s been cut in half by an advertisement. Maybe it’ll bounce back here in a sec. One ball, one strike on Moniac. That ball is hit into right and right at Lauriano. Two down. All right, I guess I’ll fix it just to watch it unfix itself. Let’s see here. Nope, that’s not right. Oh, that’s not okay. Ezekiel Tovar is up with two down, nobody on. First pitch is a strike. The 01 pitch off the plate outside. Oh, Moniac’s hitting streak did end yesterday. Thanks, Patrick. Do I think the Orioles bring Sagano back? Uh, if he were willing to take a discount, what are we paying him? 15 million or 10 million. Uh I mean I’d say he’s an option as as a number five guy for the right price, but it’s nothing I’m like stretching to try to do. Here’s a ground ball. Nicely stopped at shortstop. Pops up and throws out Tovar. Gunner Henderson with one of his finest defensive plays of the season lays out to his left, gets up and throws a strike to first and the inning is over. We go to the bottom of the third. The Orioles lead at two to one. Put a gold star next to that one, folks. Besides that, it’s all the reflexes. [Music] Yeah, I don’t think uh you know I mean I’d have to wait and see if if Sagano can show that all right, the league kind of figured him out but then he’s making an adjustment to counter that and he finishes this season with some decent starts, I can consider him, but it would be uh Again, that guy you’re looking at is the guy at the end of your rotation. You don’t think he’ll be happy staying another year at age 36? Well, I mean, that’s a that’s a whole another argument. I mean, if you’re asking me, does Sigana want to play? I don’t know. He might not want he might want to hang it up after this year. For all I know, he’s already a Hall of Famer back in Japan. He got a taste of the bigs this year. He may say that’s enough. But there also might not be a whole lot of interest from other teams out there depending on how much he’s expecting to make to pitch. It’s uh up in the air. Up in the air for Sigano. I don’t think anybody can say for sure. Uh Ramon Lauriano first pitch is fouled away for ball one. He walked his first time up. Raone just threw a rock at me. Lowing in on Raone. One ball, one strike. Gomeber is on 31 pitches. Pitch count for him hasn’t really been an issue. That’s high. Two balls, one strike. The Orioles are sticking with the classic bird hat. Uh, I don’t know for how much longer they plan to, if this is sort of the idea for the foreseeable future. Their batting helmets, though, still have the the cartoon bird on there. Two two pitch to Lauriano is up and in. Full count, folks. Full count. Lauraniano leading off the bottom of the third. Got some big bats coming up. Here comes the payoff pitch. Hit on the ground hard but foul down the third baseline. Yes, folks. Let’s check in on the like count. We have 125 people watching right now and only about half of you have hit the like button. 60 could do it right now. Payoff pitch to Lauriano. Bowed back. We’ll do it again. So folks, if you don’t mind, just take a second and tap the thumbs up at the bottom of your screen, your phone, your tablet, whatever the case may be. And let’s get these likes up to triple digits. Pitch is popped up to left field shallow. The shorts stop. Tovar going out. He’ll make the catch. Lauriano retired one away in the bottom of the third. Tap it, folks. You just got to wiggle it just a little bit. Give it a little tap tap taparoo. Here is Gunner Henderson, folks. His name’s Gunner and he’s dating my mom. and join the 3100 club. Subscribe today. It’s free. I’m a bird watcher. He’s a bot bird watcher. She’s a bird watcher. Wouldn’t he like to be a bird watcher, too? Gunnar Henderson has an 01 count. Next pitch is foul back 0 and two. Gumber two and a third innings. A couple of hits, couple of runs, couple of walks. 40th pitch of the afternoon here is at the top of the zone. Just a bit high for ball one. Gumber versus Gunner. Low and away two and two. Plenty of uh good seats available in the ballpark this afternoon. Two two pitch, breaking ball. Gunner waited on it and is going to get it to drop into right field for a one out single. He did not hit that off the sweet spot of the bat, but enough muscle to get it out to right field on that uh breaking ball. Yeah, that ball hit way down on the bat. Still able to get it out there in the right field. A one out single for Gunner. Turn on the faucet. Here’s Tyler O’Neal and he chases one low and away. Strike one. Ahoy there. Anybody home? Just give me the skill. Give me the skill. There goes Gunner. The throw down is offline. Tovar tried to get a tag in and then a second attempt at a tag. It looks like Gunner’s safe. 14th steel for Gunner this season. [Music] And we’ve got a runner in scoring position. Keep that foot on the bag, Gunner. One and one the count on O’Neal. One out. Runner at second base. The pitch hit foul. And the count one and two starting to hit the ball a little bit better. Yeah. Did you see that home run yesterday? I went to the opposite field. Line drive foul. Still one and two on O’Neal. the one two pitch low and in. Two balls, two strikes. Gunner at second with one out. [Music] Come on, Popeye. I’m strong to the finished cuz eyes eats me spinach. That ball’s crushed to left. Looking up by by Popeye goes boom. That ball would have cleared Waltmore last year. Easy. Home run number six, 433 ft to left. It’s 4 to1 Baltimore. It seems like I’m starting to heat up. [Music] [Music] Folks, I just want to go back about three, four games ago when I was telling everybody, you know what, you might want to root for Tyler O’Neal to figure it out. Everybody crapping on O’Neal. And look, I still think it wasn’t a good signing in general, but this is what O’Neal can do. This is what he can do. Ramon Aras with an 02 count takes a pitch low and away for ball one. Aras is 0 for one. I’ll gladly I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a home run today. That pitch is high. Two balls, two strikes. Four to one Orioles in the bottom of the third. Aria swinging a miss that pitch a little bit outside and he went after it. Raone goes down on strikes. Two away. Oh, Charm City, you’ve been threatening to do that now for months. Make it happen. Mullen’s ground ball to first. Bernabel will flip it to Gomeber covering the bag and the inning is over. But Tyler O’Neal, he is hot. He is hot. That ball was absolutely destroyed. Four to one Orioles. We go to the fourth inning. That by by birdie’s legend. What can I tell you folks? Tell you what, I will continue to give you the best damn home run call you’re going to find out there. You do me a favor and get these likes up to 100. We’ll call it even. We’ll call it even. We have hit 81 likes. Let’s get it up to a hundo. Thanks to everybody who has already done it and I appreciate your patience as I persuade others to do the same. Thank you. All right, so tomorrow night, by the way, uh the Blue Jays are coming to town. It’s going to be Zack Efflin on the mound against Chris Basset. Uh, this game, the stream here will start tomorrow night at 6:20 p.m. on the East Coast. First pitch shortly after 6:30. You’re going to want to be here cuz we’re going to upset the Blue Jays and throw a wrench into their plans to run away with the American League. Not on our watch. Not in our yard. Now that we know that we can’t catch you, it’s time to beat you. That’s what I say. All right. Uh, we’ve got a split screen here, so I can barely see the action going on, but first pitch to Jordan Beck is somewhere. It’s a strike. 01 pitch low and away. One to count on Beck who walked his first time up. Uh, George, define a real double header. If you mean a single admission double header, then no, it’s a split double header. First game’s like 1:00, second game’s like 6:30. And uh, if you ask me, that’s pretty ridiculous. Again, when you can give fans who are sitting through a season like this an opportunity for something a little bonus something for being fans and sticking in there. Make it an open admission double header. Let people come in whenever they want to watch two games. Let them. That is a leadoff walk to Beck. Beck has walked both times. that he’s been up. Here is Tyro Estrada. And that first pitch is low and outside Sagano. A leadoff walk. And now ball one here. You don’t want to see that. pitch. That one we get called a strike middle of the plate, but it looked about an inch low. Alex Jackson maybe helping out with the framing of that pitch. One ball, one strike. That ball is poked out to left field and out there is Carlson to make the catch. One away. Yangel Fernandez. He’s 0 for one. First pitch in the dirt. Orioles playing a double play depth with Mayo at first holding the runner. That ball got away from Sagano. Westberg tosses it back to him. 46 pitches for Tomayyuki Sagano with one out in the fourth. This pitch is low. Two and0. Two walks from Sagano already through three and a third. That one’s fouled away. Two balls, one strike on Yanko Fernandez. Yeah, Michael. It’s going to be tough. It’s a tough week. It’s a tough week because then we head out to Wrigley and all the games are going to be day games. So, middle of the night throughout the weekend after the double header this week. Yeah, it’s going to be a test, but I’m ready for it. Three and one the count on Fernandez now. 3-1 pitch. That one is reached for fouled away. Fernandez helps out Sagano chasing ball four. Yes, that Thursday off is probably going to be spent just in bed all day. I’ll have my YouTube on the laptop there. Probably just rolling over and watching videos, but just I’m going to try to get in 15 hours of sleep on that day. That’s going to be the plan. Payoff pitch swung on and miss. Throw down to second is in time. Strike him out. Throw them out. See you later, [Music] folks. [Music] Honey, sugar. [Music] All right, that’s a nice way to end an inning. We go to the bottom of the fourth. Orioles four, Rockies one. That’ll play. That’ll work. That’ll do, pig. That’ll do. Hey, folks, I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere. Or, you know, if you go somewhere, let it be like the kitchen or the bathroom. All right. So, I guess you guys are all aware how I guess it’s what already been two days since uh the Mariners made a trade with the Diamondbacks to get Josh Naylor, first baseman, left-handed bat. Anybody else out there wondering why the Orioles couldn’t make a deal with Seattle to trade Ryan O’Harn out there? Do you think the Mariners just prefer to have Naylor? Naylor is younger. Uh but man, I’ve been trying to make a deal with the Mariners now for two years, trying to give him a bat for an arm, and we just can’t seem to get a deal done. Here’s Kobe Mayo. He hit a double his first time up. Wasn’t it a double double to left back in the second inning? Get it all on there, Kobe. Just get it all on there. Just spread it out. Just spread it out. That pitch low and in. Two and one on Mayo. How you doing, folks? Let’s get the scoreboard back up over here. This pitch has popped foul out of play. Two and two on Mayo. I got a feeling he’s ready to start going on a tear after finally getting that first real home run off of Kyle Freeland back on uh Friday night. This pitch has popped straight up first base side. Burnabel looks like he can’t find it. Now he sees it. Makes the catch and foul ground. One out in the bottom of the fourth. Here comes Dylan Carlson. First at bat was a productive one. He drove in a pair of runs with a base hit. Hits a big old curveball at only 74 miles an hour. And that clips the top of the zone for strike one. back with the heater and that ball’s hit hard to right. Going back onto the track and making an over the shoulder catch is Freeman right in front of the ground screw shed out there in right right center field. Two away. Here’s Alex Jackson. Four to one Orioles in the bottom of the fourth. Jackson takes Loan in for ball one. Struck out his first time up. Curve ball again. Top of the zone. One and one on Jackson. Another breaking ball. This one’s fouled off to the left. Jackson with seven extra base hits to begin his oral career, which is a record for this organization. This is a soft grounder to second. Estrada will charge it, throw to first in time, and the inning is over. Orioles go quietly in the fourth. Onto the fifth inning. It’s Baltimore 4, Colorado one. Yeah, Michael, that was the question I was attempting to ask the Charm City chat uh near the top of the stream. With Adley coming back tomorrow, who would you rather have as the backup catcher uh to stay on the roster? Do you want to keep Stallings or do you want to keep Jackson? And my answer is Jackson even though Stallings I think was brought in first and considered to be the higher depth chart listed catcher over Jackson. And I was willing to consider Stallings for his defense because that was the reputation. I was told that Jacob Stallings is a really good defensive catcher. Well, honestly, I’ve seen him uh not look all that sharp to me. I mean, is he a step up from Gary Sanchez? Sure. Is he a a catcher that’s so good defensively that it’s worth basically an automatic out when he comes up to hit? No, I think defensive defensively he and Jackson are close enough to where give me the hot bat of Jackson and just say thanks for your service there, Mr. Stallings. We appreciate it. On this date back in 2003, folks, it’s been 22 years since Eddie Murray was inducted into baseball’s Hall of Fame. He was inducted. Oh, this is this year’s inductees. CC Sabathia, Ichiro, Billy Wagner finally getting in. Dave Parker finally getting in. Top of the fifth, warming Bernabel, who hit his first major league home run, the only run of the game so far for the Rockies, is up again. And he swings and misses on the 01 pitch. 0 and2. Yeah, I would say every hit being an extra base hit would be a sign of popping the bat there, Michael. I would say that is the pure definition of pop in the bat. So, it’s like having Gary Sanchez on the team except he cost almost 8 million less dollars and uh probably better defensive upgrade too. Swing and a miss. Wow. Burnabel chased a pitch a foot and a half outside to strike out. See you later. Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Boy, Burnabel home run last time up that time. Looked like one of us up there trying to hit. Austin Nola lined out his first time up, takes strike one, and he will look at strike two. Sagano with five strikeouts through four and a third innings. He normally doesn’t do that. Here’s a ground ball to third. Aras across the diamond in time. Two down. Zagano is settling in nicely here and picking up some strikeouts along the way. Two down in the fifth, 58 pitches. Playing the Rockies can be good medicine. This pitch is fouled away by Orlando Arcia. He’s 0 for one. Next one is outside. It’s a nice looking sky out there. Big puffy clouds. Line drive over the glove of Gunner into left field for a base hit. Two out single by Arcia. And Arcia just made a motion to his dugout that looked a whole lot like our turn on the faucet uh gesture. Are you Are you trying to take our our thing? That’s our thing. We turn on the faucet. Get your own thing. Yeah. There. Again, this is why I think we shouldn’t really reserve judgment on Sagano. There has been talk that maybe the league has figured out how to tip his pitches or that, you know, that he’s tipping pitches and and they’ve been uh, you know, teeing off on him. If he’s able to fix that, then again, with a strong second half, I could see a reason to want to keep Sagano around for another season. Again, it’s going to be up to him and whether he wants to Uh, it’s going to come down to how much will it cost. It’s going to come down to just what the pitching staff is looking like in the winter and how we’re going to fill it out. Uh, here’s Tyler Freeman, hitless in the series, 0 for two today, takes low for ball one. swing and a miss. Well, I mean, if Sagano can get a job in Major League Baseball, he would most certainly want to take that money here, George. I mean, what kind of money would the Orioles be willing to spend to bring him back? And is Sagano going to agree to that? Time will tell. That pitch has called a ball. It looked like it caught the outside corner. It’s two and one on Freeman. Probably more money here. 2-1 pitch fouled away. Two and two. One more strike will get Sagano through five innings. 65 pitches at the moment. The 2-2 coming to Freeman. Swung on and fouled away. Freeman helping out on a pitch low and outside. Folks, give me just one sec. I got to shut the door behind me. This ball hit toward third and it’s off of Ras’s glove into left field. That’ll put runners at the corners now with two down for the Rockies. So, let’s take a look again at this. Aras stretching out to his left and it’s off the tip of his glove. First and third, two down. Mickey Moniac at the plate. This is a crucial moment for Sigano to get through this first pitch. He gets a strike on the outside corner. The 01 tap foul. Two strikes. Two strikes on Monia with two out. Come on, Sagano. [Music] Let’s put him away now. Put him away. Put him away. Put him away now. Put him away. Put him away. Put him away now. 02 pitch outside by a foot. One and two. Give him the heater. The one two pitch. Catcher’s target is up and in. Pitch is on the outside part of the plate and it’s fouled away. Uh, excuse me. Runners at first and third for the Rockies. Two down in the inning. The one two. Here it comes. Swing and a miss. Moniac chased a pitch outside. Another strike out for Sagano. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Come on, folks. Sugar [Music] honey. [Music] [Music] I’ve got all the dance moves, folks. I’ve got them all. I’m a walking tick tock clip. All right, four to one Baltimore. We’re going to the bottom of the fifth inning. This game’s half over after losing in just depressing fashion on Friday night. The Orioles with a chance to take the series here against the Rockies as they should. Harry says, “Hey.” Hey, which Harry are you talking about? Folks, next weekend the Orioles will be at Wrigley Field taking on the Cubbies. Threeame series. Is my like count correct at 91? Uh, I’m showing 92, folks. Eight more likes to get to triple digits. Let’s go. And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. And monitoring other things. Uh, let’s see. No magic members today. No super chats yet today. Hey, you know, hey, hey everybody. We’re all going to get laid. I’m sure that’ll change by the end of the ball game. Jordan Westber leads it off. Bottom of the fifth. First pitch is way up and away from Gomeber. Ball one. West is that way. Little bit low. Two and0. West is that way. Westberg’s 0 for two. There’s a strike. Two balls, one strike. Curve ball swung on and missed. A hanging curve at 74 miles an hour. Two balls, two strikes. Pitch reached for, fouled away. We’ll do it again. Blue Jays coming to town tomorrow. Talk about a difference in matchups playing the worst team in baseball record-wise. And tomorrow we entertain the team with the best record in baseball. At least I think that’s the case. Is that the case still? This pitch is a little bit upstairs. Full count on West. Blue Jays are 63 and 42. That is a flat 600 winning percentage. They are the only team in baseball with a 600 winning percentage. Here’s a pop up to left field. It’s shallow. Beck will make the catch. One away. The Cubs, who we then go to play after, currently hold a tie for the second best record in baseball. So, you want to talk about a tough week. Seven games against the top two teams record-wise in a row. That is ball four. It is a one out walk for Ramon Lauraniano. Raone just threw a rock at me. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here. How did that already get to ball? Oh, that I’m sorry. It’s not ball four. I’m like, how was that a four pitches already? That I’m sorry, folks. Lauriana was hit by a pitch and that is how he gets on first base. I’m sitting here wondering how did I miss so many pitches where he’s already getting a walk. Well, that’s your answer. I called it wrong. Lauraniano hit by a pitch. He’s on it first. Gunner Henderson’s up and he’s got a 20 count now. His name’s Gunnar and he’s dating my mom. The Brewers and Cubs are tied with the same record. So they are tied for the second best record in baseball. The Dodgers and Mets are a half game back. The Astros one game back. It’s a very tight race for the second best record in baseball. That is ball four. Gunner walks on four pitches. And I promise you this one was a walk. [Music] I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Burst in second for the Orioles. One out. And here comes Tyler O’Neal. Folks, I’m on a big day for Popeye. Ohoy there. Anybody home? Let’s root for O’Neal to drive in some more runs. Let’s go. Come on now. Gomber and the catcher are having a chat right now. Whoops. Let me have a Diablo sandwich. Make it fast. I’m in a goddamn hurry. Gomeber’s on 78 pitches. And now, are we getting a change? Oh, Austin Gomeber is being taken out of the ball game here. They will bring in a right-hander to face Tyler O’Neal. Gome not happy getting removed here in the fifth. We’ve got a call to the bullpin, folks. Whoops, that’s the wrong button. Tyler O’Neal will see a new pitcher here in a moment. The Orioles lead it in the bottom of the fifth four to one with two men on base. How you doing? Just subscribed. Put them money games back up on the scroll. Hi Jerry. Welcome to my channel. Uh, I hope you enjoy the coverage and uh maybe if you ask nicely I would accommodate you. But wow, that’s really not how this works, Jerry. Uh, I’ll tell you what though, for you. I’m going to go over the out of town scores myself. Diamondbacks and Pirates. No score. Top of second. Rain delay between the Red Sox and Dodgers and the Yankees and Phillies. Both those games still waiting to get started. Bottom of the first, the Reds with an early two nothing lead on the Rays. Blue Jays and Tigers. No score. Bottom of the first. coming up uh a little bit later. White Socks and Cubs, Guardians and Royals, Brewers and Marlins, Astros and Athletics, Nationals and Twins, Cardinals and Padres’s, Rangers and Braves, Angels and Mariners, and tonight Mets versus Giants. Here’s Tyler O’Neal. And there goes the runner to third and he is out. Lauraniano is nailed at third base trying to steal. Another Oral caught on the base pads and Lauriano is out. I don’t see a reason to challenge this. At least not yet. That ball was there. the slap tag. Well, well, there is a little bit there is a little bit of a reason to maybe challenge this, but they’re not going to. Lauraniano is caught trying to steal third base. Trail Runner moves up to second. Uh there’s two down now though for Tyler O’Neal and he’s got a 1-1 count. Pitch hit on the ground foul. One ball, two strikes. Jimmy Herget is the new pitcher on for the Rockies. A right-hander making his 37th appearance and he’s got the best numbers I’ve seen out of this bullpen at 2.89 89 erra swing and a miss and O’Neal strikes out. So they bring her on and not only does he punch out O’Neal, the Orioles make another out on the base pass. This inning is over. The Orioles had a chance to add on to this three-run lead, but that rally came to a quick quick end. Onto the sixth inning, it’s the Orioles four and the Rockies one. Folks, we’ve got over 30 3,110 subscribers. We keep on trucking and I think we’re probably hitting 100 likes at this point, right? We’ve done it. We’re right on 100. Luckily, I’m paying enough attention to where I’m probably It looks like I missed a couple of pitches. The stream just jumped off of the Orioles and went into this like MLB TV like what do you call it? uh like on a loop like just an a loop video. Okay, top of the six. Sagano is still out here. Ezekiel Tovar is the leadoff hitter. He’s got a count of one ball and two strikes. That’s where we are. We’re back underway. The one two fouled away. Sorry about that, folks. Not sure why that happened, but luckily caught it pretty quickly. Now my says my Now it says my chat disconnected. What is going on? Another foul ball by Tovar. Still one ball, two strikes. Uh folks, can you let me know if uh you can still hear me? It just uh told me my chat disconnected and then reconnected. Are you still with me, folks? One, two pitch to Tovar. Swung on. Nice diving stop by Westber at second. He throws to first in time. Jordan Westber. Play him at third. Play him at second. No problems. Man, I love Westberg. This ball hit up the middle off the mound. Westberg laid out to his right pops up and throws out uh the hitter there for the first out in the sixth. Wowee, Zoey. That was uh Tovar retired. I think that’s the second time Tovar has been robbed by Westber today. David says, “BW, we listen to your broadcast regularly. You make baseball fun. Keep up the good work.” Thank you, David. Appreciate it. And it means all the more when you’re con considering uh I’m calling games for a team that’s in last place. That’s a disappointing season. Still trying to make it worth following though, folks. I’m not going to stop. I fell in love with this team in 1988. They started the season 0 and21. If I can survive that, I can survive anything. Two and two the count on Jordan Beck. Top of the sixth, one out, nobody on base. Pitch number 83 of the day from Sagano is at the bottom of the zone. Called a strike. Another punch out for Sagano, folks. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? I don’t know what these Rocky hitters are looking for. This pitch is in the zone all the way in there with two strikes and Beck just stared at it. Here’s Estrada. He takes a cut at a pitch half a foot off the plate. Strike one. Sago one out away from a quality start. Curve ball low and away count even at one and one. Estrada is 0 for two. That one’s popped up behind the plate. One more strike for Sagano. Come on, folks. [Music] That’s fine by me, Matt. I I don’t mean to, you know, rub it in when I say that we’re in last place. It’s just just calling it like it is. Sagano is certainly feeling the elements of the hot weather out there. 87 pitches. This will probably be his last inning, I would think. One-two pitch off the plate. Two and two. Come on, sugar. Give us one more good pitch. He’s got seven strikeouts today. The 2-2. Try to get another chase on a pitch. Lo and away. Estrada not interested. Full count. The payoff pitch. Fouled away. We’ll do it again. Stay loose, sugar. Stay loose. Another 32 to Estrada. Swinging a miss. Sagano striking out Rockies left and right. Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Unbelievable. Eight strikeouts, six innings, one run, quality start. Are you kidding me? [Music] Folks, hit the bricks, pal. You’re done. You get nothing. You lose. Good day, sir. Well, when you I say when you got to go, you got to go. How about this? Peace. Dope. Now get the hell out of here. [Music] Wow. Where’d that come from? Eight strikeouts from Sigano, who is among the leaders in terms of least strikeouts per nine innings among qualified starters. He’s got the punch out working today against the Rockies. You like to see it. [Music] By the way, this was the same shirt that which for me was early early this morning coming up on 20 hours ago now for last night’s ball game where you guys are where we won 18 to nothing. So, we’ve outscored opponents 22 to one while wearing this shirt. But I can’t wear it tomorrow. It’s blue and the Blue Jays are coming to town. That’s why I picked this shirt. I said, “You know what? I better hurry up and wear this shirt because the Blue Jays are coming up and I can’t wear it then.” Ramon Aras is 0 for two. He takes her first pitch inside ball one. Sagano appears to be done for the day. Going down in the uh tunnel there toward the clubhouse. That’s called a strike from Herget who came into the fifth inning to get the final out, final two outs. Although one of them we made ourselves on the base pads. Here’s a hard hit ball to first and a nice stop over there by Bernabel. He catches the lowline drive for out number one. All right, said Mullins, folks. He knows what to do. There is a strike on the outside edge to Mullins. He’s 0 for one. He must have reached on a walk. Yeah, he walked back in the second inning. 01 pitch outside. The next pitch is swung on and missed. A foul tip apparently. I am taking a peek at the uh at the news feeds, folks. Seeing if there’s been any trade activity during the ball game here. This ball’s fouled away. Still one and two on said Mullins. Holy cow. Folks, Emanuel Rivera, everybody knows the Kraken, right? Emanuel Rivera, he is still with the team uh playing for Norfolk. Emanuel Rivera this weekend has gone 10 for 10 at the plate. Excuse me. Make that 10 for 10 for 11. 10 for 11 for Emanuel Rivera. Three for four on Friday night. 4 for four last night and then three for three so far today. That is a weak weekend right there. Uh full count on Mullins. One out, nobody on. And we’ll do it again after a foul ball. Basio had a five for five game. Was it yesterday or two days ago? We got Ryan Mal Castle in that lineup. Working his way back. Payoff pitch to Mullins is swung on and popped up on the infield. Tovar looks like he’s going to take it and he will. Two down. Tuesday, August 12th, folks. It’s a book drive at the ballpark. Donate new books only. What do you mean donate new books only? What? What qualifies as a new book? And why only new books? What’s wrong with a book that’s been read? Here’s Kobe Mayo. He takes a called strike. What do you mean new books only? How is that donating? Why would I donate a book that I haven’t read yet myself? Honey, do we have any new books laying around we can give away? Here’s a ground ball to third by Mayo and he will be retired. Inning over. We head to the seventh. The Orioles lead it four to one. Both teams with four hits. What do you mean they’ll only take new? What you mean? Like there has to be plastic wrap on it still? Like when you go to open it, it has to like creek open like a brand new textbook. Is somebody going to sit there and judge your book to determine how new it is? It’s a book. New books only. as as if there’s no value in literature. If it if it’s been read, if there’s a, you know, if there’s a crease on a page somewhere, heaven forbid, or maybe a coffee stain on the insert page, who cares? It’s a book. It’d be like that 1877 cars for kids, you know, where you donate your car to help out kids. Hey, but we only take new cars. Donate your brand new car today. We’re not going to bother with a used car that could help somebody get to work or whatever. We’re only interested in you donating to us brand new cars. If that car has been driven more than five miles, don’t bother. You’re wasting our time. What the hell do they mean new books only? I’m I’m angry with that. Like the fact that they even put that in the ad. They want to make sure that you know. They only want I mean glossy shiny books. How about this? I’ll get you a brand new telephone book that’s still in the wrapper. A Bell Atlantic telephone book from 1996 that’s still uh in cellophane. How’s that sound? Enjoy that book. Here’s Yianiier Canó on the mound for the Orioles. Top of the seventh inning and the first pitch to Yankeiel Fernandez is hit high down the right field line but hooking foul into the seats. Canó. This is his 42nd appearance of the season. He’s got an erra of 4.54. This one’s hit on the ground. First base. Mayo will take it to the bag. Unassisted. One out. Quick out for Canoa on two pitches. Brand new books only. Brand new books only. I don’t get it. Warming Burnabel. He’s had two at bats. One he hit his first major league homer. The other he struck out. There’s a strike at the bottom of the zone. The one and one the count. There’s a right-hander getting loose for the Rockies. Mahia out in the bullpen. Swing and a miss. I pitch in the dirt. One and two. The more I hear it, the funnier it gets. What are you listening to, George? Pitch off the plate. Two and two the count on Burnabel. I want in on the joke. Oh, about the books. Well, I mean, honestly, doesn’t it make you I mean, you should be laughing. It’s a It’s a silly, Tell me where I’m wrong here. I mean, I get it. You don’t want somebody bringing in some like book from a hoarder’s house that’s covered in like rat feces and boogers. Yeah, I get that. You don’t want some disgusting book that you found in the attic or whatever. Uh but I mean the way they make it sound, it’s like you’re not even even allowed to even open the book that you’re giving away. You you can’t even look at it. Don’t you dare crack that book open or it’s no longer new. Uh, that is a walk. A one-out walk from Canó. We don’t want to see walks when we’re up by three runs late. Burnabel is on at first base. Here is Austin Nola. He’s 0 for two. And Canó’s first pitch is low and outside. All right, folks. We got to lock in here and try and uh help Canó get through this inning without any damage. That’s low and away. 2 and 0. Suddenly the blood pressure is beginning to rise a little bit. Two and0 on Nola. There’s a strike on the outside corner. Yeah, you got to have the receipt, I guess. I don’t know. I mean, books are basically becoming obsolete anyway. You can barely find a bookstore to go buy a new book. Honestly, just be happy that we’re donating a book. I mean, if you get it and you’re like, you know what? This book doesn’t really have any value for anybody. Well, then fine. Throw it away. Whatever. But stop giving me uh you know. You got me sitting here feeling self-conscious. I’m feeling self-conscious about the book. Did he just walk somebody else? All right, I got to lock in here. These books have gotten me all out of whack. I better get the hat on. I mean, this is getting a little bit scary. Drew French is out to talk to Yinier Canó. He’s issued two walks here in the seventh inning. That’s going to bring the tying run to the plate. [Music] All right. Come on the hat. We need some help. It’ll be the number nine hitter Orlando coming up to hit for the Rockies. Double play ball would be nice. The mound meeting is over. First pitch to our bottom of the zone. a sinker for a called strike. Perfect pitch. Either RCA takes it for a strike or if he hits it, it’s probably on the ground. A potential double play ball. Throw that same pitch again, please. It’s another sinker, but this one is outside. One ball and one strike. All right, we might have to throw something different here. There is that slider. Breaks outside though. Two and one. Come on, Canó. Got to stay ahead of these guys. It’s the number nine hitter on the Rockies. Go after them. Two-1 pitch. We get the call on the very edge of the outside corner. Very close. Two and two. Two and two on Aria. First and second, one out for the Rockies. Corbin Martin is up for the Orioles in the bullpen. The 2-2 swing and a miss. Strike a pose. Canó, sit down. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Two down. Go. 96 miles an hour with some late dipping action. Patrick, are those books new? I don’t want any used emoji books in my chat. Only new emoji books are allowed. Tyler Freeman base hit is last time up. 01 pitch is a strike. Two strikes on Freeman, folks. One more strike and we get out of it. [Music] The O2 pitch off the plate. A few of the pages are stuck together. Patrick, don’t explain what happened. Don’t explain what happened there. One-two pitch bowed away. We’ll do it again. That’s all right, Patrick. We were all 13 once. [Music] Well, I know you didn’t read it. There’s nothing to read for that book. Comebacker to Cano. Throw to first in time. This inning is over. The Orioles hold on to this 4 to one lead. And guess what, folks? It is seventh inning stretch time here at Orio Park at Camden Yards. It’s time to throw some cakes on the griddle. Get them cakes up in the chat, folks. Thank Godunch. Uh, let’s see some cakes. There’s one. All right. There they are. All right. Thank Godunch. Good grief. Thank Godunch. There we go. All right, now we’re talking. Holy cow. Thank god. Ma, get the syrup out. Thank god I’m a country boy. All right. No, don’t give me that open syrup. New syrup only. Don’t give me any of that used syrup. New books only. How dare you? Where do you get off? They’ll take whatever book you get. Honestly, I want I want to talk to whoever’s in charge of that uh that uh that book drive. Yeah, this song that they got playing during half the commercial breaks on MLB Network, it it’s going to put me in an early grave. It’s like this folk song, this lady, this little jangly guitar. It’s It haunts my dreams. Okay, so now we figured out why the pages are sticky. I mean, what if I’m on my way to the ballpark with a dozen brand new books, but as I’m walking carrying this 150 lbs worth of books over toward the table, I I I stumble and I drop and the I fall over. The books drop to the ground and now a couple of the books are scuffed a little bit. Now they’re no longer new books. I can’t even donate it if I just All right, this is what I’m going to do. I’m gonna go with brand new books and then I’m just going to rub a little bit of dirt on it right before I hand it over and go here. Here’s a just about brand new book. All right, here’s Dylan Carlson. He’s batting from the left hand side against the new relief pitcher Mahia, a right-hander on for the Rockies. Hey Lore, you’re saying there’s thunderstorms coming. All right. Uh well, I think this game’s going to be over in about 20 minutes. This ball, it could be trouble. It’ll be caught over the shoulder by Tovar, the shortstop, racing out into shallow center field to make the catch. Carlson retired. One down in the bottom of the seventh. That’ll bring up Alex Jackson. He’s 0 for two. First pitch from Mahia. Whoa. Look out. that one right toward Jackson’s head and he managed to get out of the way I think. Dangerous dangerous moment here. Wow, that was scary. That pitch coming in hard. Jackson got out of the way. One pitch. How do you hang in there after a pitch like that? One and one the count. That one’s a strike. Thunderstorming in V West Virginia 300 miles away. All right. Well, this game will be over. Whatever’s going on there won’t get to Baltimore in the next 20 minutes. Swinging a miss. It’s one and two on Jackson the one two and Jackson went around strikes out two away here in the bottom of the seventh. So, my plan is to go pick up a half a dozen fresh copies of the Kama Sutra, and I’ll be dropping those off at the book drive next week. Here you go. These books are brand new. Brand new Kama Sutras for the kids. Here’s Jordan Westber. First pitch is high for ball one. West is that way. It’s a damn book, not underwear. Right. Yeah. I could get a clothing drive where it’s like, “Please do not send us your used uh BVDs and Fruit of the Looms, but they’re books.” I mean, I remember going to college. I remember how crazy those textbook prices were. And you would be silly to buy them new. Everybody would buy them used and everybody would be happy to have a a copy. Sometimes you’d get some help. There’d be some notes or or certain passages uh marked in those books to give you a little bit of extra information. Uh 3-1 pitch to Westber is swung on a miss. Full count. Two down, nobody on. Bottom of the seventh. Come on, West. West is that way. West is that way. Have I been talking about the book drive for too long? Swing and a miss. And that’ll end the inning. The Orioles go quietly in the seventh. And they have been quiet at the plate now for a while. They scored twice in the second, twice in the third. They’ve now gone four innings without scoring. And I don’t know if they’ve had a hit since this third inning. Just four hits on the day. Eighth inning coming up. We’ve got a three-run lead. And who was out there getting loose? It was uh Corbin Martin, right? Corbin Martin maybe coming in for the eighth inning. We’ll see. Uh doo up for the Rockies. It looks like it’s Moniac, Tovar, and Beck. So that is lefty, righty, righty. Uh we don’t want to use a guy like a Kitridge. I’m assuming Dominguez for the ninth. If it’s still a three-run lead, he’ll probably pitch either way. We haven’t seen him in a couple of days. Baltimore is not the same place, that’s for sure. I haven’t been back in a long time. 2006 was the last time I was there because of family matters. Not the same place. I mean, you know, I feel like I’ve been alive long enough to see three or four different versions of Baltimore. Things things come things go. Neighborhoods change. Some some go to [ __ ] Some get rebuilt. Oh, I’m I’m sorry for the casual swearing. My bad. I’ll put myself in timeout. No place is the same place. Every picture of you is of you when you were younger. The Rockies have left six men on base today. The Orioles only three. And those three extra men left on base would help explain why we’re winning by three runs. It is Andrew Kitridge on. Okay, we’ve got one of our higher leverage arms in here for the eighth and probably Dominguez for the ninth. First pitch is a slow roller that’s going to find its way into a center field for a base hit. How do you like that? You can’t hit a ball much slower through the infield than that. That ball hit right in the right spot. Henderson the closest to it on the second base side of the bag. Leadoff man on for the Rockies. Ezekiel Tovar is one for three. Swinging a miss on a slider. 0 and one. Swing and a miss. Same pitch. A slider that broke off the plate. Low and away. Hell. Go to that well a third time. The best he can do is foul it away. 02 pitch. He does go back to a slider low and away, but that one started too low and away. Easy to lay off. One ball, two strikes. Oh, I remember the riot. I remember. Are you talking about the one where the Orioles played a game with nobody in the ballpark? Was that that same one? There’s been a couple in the past decade. Hill, a right-hander for the Rockies, is getting loose. He wears number zero. This ball’s popped up center field. Mullins is going back, but he’s got room. And he makes the catch as he takes his first step to the track. Throwing to second base. Moniac tagged and does get it to second. The throwin got there, but again, Mullen’s not the strongest arm and he was all the way back to the deepest part of center field. So, it does move a runner up, but uh we’ll trade that one out here in the eighth. Runner at second base, one down. Uh first pitch to Jordan Beck is a little bit inside for ball one. Well, George, if if you’re Moniac and you felt 100% sure that you’d make it, if you can make it, then you got to take it. Now, it was close enough in the end where it does make you think probably wasn’t worth the risk, but it does keep him out of a double play to end the inning, which Patrick just typed in right when I was saying it. Uh, one and two the count. Jordan Beck is 0 for one. Pitch low. Two and two. The 22. Swinging a miss on the slider. Breaking sharply down. Strike three. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear folks? Four more outs to go and we take this series against the Rockies. Estrada at the plate. First pitch, front door slider, strike one. Estrada’s 0 for three. Struck out his last time up. This one’s fouled. Two strikes, two down, folks. [Music] Two strikes, two down. Pitch, swing, and a miss. Good morning, good afternoon, good night. [Applause] Well, y’all come back now. You hear? We’re going to the bottom of the eighth. Last chance to add on to this three-run lead. It’s the Orioles for the Rockies one. Folks, how you doing? I hope we can celebrate this victory here in a few minutes. [Music] [Music] He met a strange friend in the Chesapeake Bay. We’re number one. We’re number one. We’re number one. Baltimore, you are seeing history being made today. All right. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. Ah, Fitzy, I haven’t heard from you in a while. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. By the way, did those other uh AL East games get going yet? No. Let me refresh the page. Maybe that’s the problem. Oh, okay. So, they did finally get going. All right. So, bottom of the sixth inning, the Red Sox have a 4 to3 lead on the Dodgers. Top of the seventh, the Yankees have the same score on the Phillies. 4 to3 New York. Tigers, meanwhile, are going to blow out the Blue Jays. They have a seven nothing lead in the bottom of the eighth and the bases loaded right now. Cubs are looking like they’re going to continue to have the second best record in baseball and on the verge of the best if the Blue Jays lose today. Cubs are up four to one on the White Socks. First pitch swinging here in the bottom of the eighth. Raone Lauraniano with a foul ball at the plate. It’s 0 and one. Lemon Ramon just threw a rock at me. Well, that’s assault. You should probably report that in on the hands and fouled away. It’s 0 and2. It’s 10 zip. Did that just happen? Hey, what happened? Yep, you’re right. So, the bases were loaded. It looks like a base clearing double, a three-run double to make it 10- nothing Tigers. So, the Blue Jays are out for the count today and coming to town tomorrow. Hopefully not too pissed off after a result like they’re about to have today. Here’s a line drive base hit into left field for Lauraniano. He continues to hit. That’s the first hit of the day. He was only 0 for one before that hit. So Ramon now has a single, a hit by a pitch, and a walk. He’s reached base three times. Here’s Gunnar Henderson. His name’s Gunnar, and he’s dating my mom. First pitch to him is a slider in there for a strike. Sir Anthony Dominguez, our new closer as Felix Bautista is on the shelf. He’s getting loose right now. The 01, the gunner is fouled at the plate. Go in two. Pitch low and in on Gunnar. The counter ball and two strikes. Allan Piles says if the O’s win today, the O’s will be 3 and one since he came back to my channel. if they win today. Three in one, huh? Now, wait a minute. I don’t know if that I don’t know if that works out. Three and one. Oh, I see. Okay. Last game against Cleveland. And then two out of three here. Here’s a ground ball to first. They go to second for one. The relay throw is thrown into the camera. Well, what the hell? How does this work? Does Gunnar get second base? He does. That’ll be a fieldielder’s choice and then an error to allow Gunnar to get the second base. Bernabel started a double play ball at first, but the relay back from second base sailed into the camera well. So, one out, Gunner’s at second base. Here’s Tyler O’Neal. Ahoy there. Anybody home? First pitch is inside to O’Neal, folks. I’m I’m wanting a couple of more runs. I want more. One pitch swing and a miss. A slider with some late break. I think Michael meant to say call your shot. Swing and a miss. He chased another slider. It’s a ball and two strikes on Tyler O’Neal. Runner at second, one out. Bottom of the eighth. The Orioles ahead four to one. There you go, Michael. The one two pitch from Hill, the right-hander way outside. Did I get a first name on this guy? Who is this hill I’m watching? First name begins with a J. I don’t think it’s Jonah Hill. Jaden Hill. That ball gets away to the back stop. Gunner is going to come around third and try to score the throw. Nobody’s there to cover the plate. Gunner will score. all the way around. Unbelievable. 5 to one Baltimore. That’s magic. Ho ho ho. It’s magic. [Music] Gunner Henderson took off from second on the wild pitch. Ran as hard as he could. Did not stop and the Rockies did not show any kind of urgency in uh making that play. Unbelievable. And there’s ball four to Tyler O’Neal. He’s on. That’s the kind of aggressive base running and intelligence that I remember us doing back in 2023 with regularity. That felt like the old school good Orioles from two years ago. I like it. I like it a lot. Ramona Aras has an 01 count. He pops this one up center field. Can of corn. Two down. Two down here in the eighth. said Mullins 0 for two today. This one is hit in the air. Shallow right. The second baseman will go out to make the catch and the inning is over. The Orioles do get a little bit of insurance thanks to a wild pitch and some very effective aggressive base running by one Gunnar Henderson coming around from second base on a wild pitch to score. How do you like that? We head now to the ninth. It’s the Orioles five and the Rockies won. The Dominguez is going to come out most likely to pitch this final inning. It will not be a safe situation, but we don’t care. We just want to win. Am I right or am I right? I’m right. Close the door. Close the door. Close the door. Come on, folks. Ninth inning, three outs to go. [Music] All right, Charm City chat. We are reaching the final inning of a game that we are currently winning. What does that mean? What does that mean for the Charm City chat in terms of audience participation? Yes, I can see it now on my monitor. The hearts are flying in the Charm City chat. Keep those hearts beating until we win. Let’s try to close this thing out, folks. One more push for some likes and subscriptions. Uh we’ve got 117 likes, but there’s 140 something people here right now. We can get those likes up to 125, 130. Just go ahead and tap that thumbs up at the bottom of your screen if you haven’t done it already and help out the channel. The other 117 people who have done it will thank you for it. Thank you so much. Also, folks, if you haven’t subscribed already, join the bird watcher community. Over 3,000 strong and growing. We’re like Flintstone vitamins over here. All right, Sir Anthony Dominguez is on the pitch. The ninth inning, his 43rd appearance. He’s got an erra of 3.32. First pitch is way inside. And we’ll get to the back stop for ball one. Not the best first pitch. Six, seven, and eight hitters do it for the Rockies. It’s Yankee Fernandez at the plate and he lines one over the glove of Mayo into right field for a base hit. A leadoff single for the Rockies. Just like that, we’ve got a lock in here. It’s the seven, eight, and nine hitters now coming up. With a four-run lead in the ninth, we got to take care of business. Here is Bernabel. He takes a strike. 98 mph sinker from Sir Anthony. The 01 swinging a miss. a sweeper. It’s 0 and two. Come on, put him away quickly. This one’s popped up. Should be the first out of the inning. Shallow left field coming in as Carlson makes the catch on the run. One down. One down. A ground ball could end the ball game with a runner at first. It is Austin Nola 0 for two. First pitch on the outside edge for a strike. Nola reached on a walk his last time up. Come on. Let’s end it with a double play ball. I can feel a ground ball. I can feel it. That ball bounces in there. Gets away from Jackson. Runner at first does not advance. Folks, Charm City chat, you’re awfully quiet right now. Let me ask you a question. And you plan on being here tomorrow night when we take on the Blue Jays, division rivals. Four game series starting tomorrow night. 1-1 pitch. This one’s a Baltimore chop. Gunner is going to bare-handed. Throw to first in time. Oh, doctor. What a barehanded play by Gunner. That is not an easy ball to handle. A Baltimore chop. Look at Gunner. He had to do this perfectly and he did. Fine play to get the second out, folks. One more out to go. [Music] Here’s a tapper at the plate. Foul by Orlando Arcia. All right. Tell you what, why don’t we go over here? How’s this? I’ll tell you everything you need to know, folks. It’s the top of the ninth. There’s two out, a runner at second base. The Oral Orioles ahead five to one. The 01 pitch to Rca. Fouled away. It’s 0 and2. One more strike to go. [Music] One more strike to go. And the Orioles will be on a winning streak. The crowd on their feet. The pitch swung on and missed. Dominguez ends it with a strike out. [Applause] Well, you all come back now. You hear? Hit the bricks, pal. You’re done. You get nothing. You lose. Good day, sir. Well, when you I say when you got to go, you got to go. How about this? Peace, love, dope. Now get the hell out of here. Final score, Orioles five, Rocky’s one, folks. O R I O L E S. [Music] How about that? Come on now. H it’s magic [Music] ride, [Music] folks. How about the last 24 hours? The Orioles have outscored their opponent 23-1. Not a bad 24 hours in this uh 2025 season. Couple of wins, lots of offense, good pitching, and the benefit of playing Colorado. Five runs on just five hits, no errors. The Orioles left four men on base, one run on six hits, one error for the Rockies. They They left eight. They left eight. Sugar gets the win. [Music] And the loss will be charged to Austin Gamber. Sagano improves to eight and five. Really? 8 and five? That doesn’t sound like the record of a team in last place. Gomeber has yet to win a ball game. He’s 0 and5. Uh the scoring summary, uh the Rockies actually took the early lead on a solo home run from warming Burnabel, his first major league home run. One- nothing Rockies after the top of the second. The Orioles came back though with a quick response. A two-run base hit by Dylan Carlson made it two to one. And then in the third inning, the Orioles doubled the lead. Well, doubled their scoring, I should say, with a two-run homer from Tyler O’Neal to make it four to one. And then nothing until the bottom of the eighth when the Orioles got one more on a Gunnar Henderson uh wild pit, a wild pitch that allowed Gunner to score from second base. That was insane to watch Gunner come all the way around. Uh Westber was 0 for four. Lauraniano 1 for two. He also reached base on a hit by pitch and a walk. Gunner one for three. He scored two of the runs today. O’Neal with that home run ball. His batting average at 214. I know that’s not sexy, but I mean Mullins is hitting 217. Mayo’s hitting 217. So O’Neal’s right in there a hot week and he could uh he could really uh boost some of these numbers. Remember folks, he’s missed a lot of playing time. It wouldn’t take a whole lot to get that average and some other uh stats up. Mayo had a hit today. Carlson with that big two-run single. Sagano on the mound. Four hits, two walks, one earned run with eight strikeouts over six innings of work. Quality start. His RA now at 4.38. Yinier Canó, Andrew Kitridge, and Sir Anthony Dominguez pitched the final three innings without giving up a run. They did give up a combined two hits and two walks scattered over those three innings, but they picked up four strikeouts combined along the way. And that will about do it here in Colorado. Well, against Colorado, we have taken two out of three from the worst team in baseball. And now, starting tomorrow, we play four against the team currently holding the best record in baseball. How will we respond for that? We shall see. Any news on trades? Asks Travis. I will take one quick look. to see if anything is being reported on. I do not see anything for the Orioles. I will give you a leaguewide update. And no, Jeff Passen has not reported anything since 18 hours ago. 18 hours ago when they talked about the Yankees picking up Ahmed Rosario. Uh yeah, the Yankees gave up Clayton Beater. Beatater. I hardly know her. They gave up they gave up something pretty hefty to get Ahmed Rosario. Uh but yeah, that pretty much going to wrap it up, folks. It’s coming up on 3:30 a.m. here. So, I’m going to try to get a few hours of sleep in and have the the rest of the day off and get ready for the call on Monday night. The Blue Jays are coming to town. Once again, it’s going to be Zack Efflin against Chris Basset in game one. The double header coming up on Tuesday. Uh the matchups aren’t completely locked in. Charlie Morton’s going to pitch one of the two games. We don’t know who’s going to pitch the other yet. And the Rockies have at least one of those two games with an open spot. Perhaps both. So, I’m probably going to wait on making my thumbnails for those games until after tomorrow. Yeah, I’m done, folks. Anybody uh got anything else they want to get off their chest? Was this a good one today? Everybody feeling good? We got over 125 likes and uh we closed in on not quite 2,000 views today. Pretty good stuff. I hope you guys enjoyed the call. I want to thank uh the mods in the Charm City chat for once again pitching in and volunteering to help keep the chat nice and charming. Thanks to everybody for the uh support one way or another and we’ll be back doing this. Aren’t I’m glad that I’m not Rockies watcher. I tell you, if I were as big of a fan of the Rockies as I was the Orioles, if I grew up out there, uh I’d still be doing this for the Rockies. It would not be easy. But uh yeah, a nice 24 hours, folks. It’s been enjoyable. I hope you have a good rest of your Sunday. Come on back tomorrow night and let’s try to have some more fun together. Uh take care of yourselves until tomorrow night. This has been the bird watcher and the hat. Oh, wait a minute. I forgot. I might be able to send you to another game. Let me check. There’s that damn song. Would you cut that little folk song? If I hear that song one more freaking time, shut up. I just want to take the guitar out of this lady’s hand and smash it against the wall like Pluto and Animal House. enough with their little folksy song. Every 10 minutes I’m hearing it out of my ear. All right. Uh, let’s see. So, it’s the bottom of the seventh. I’m going to send you over to Thomas Fitzpatrick. This young little whippers snapper. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to send some people over his way. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. So, do the young man a favor and give him a like on his stream. It’s Red Sox versus Dodgers, folks. It’s 4-3 Boston in the bottom of the seventh. So, close game there. Fitzy’s young. Give him a chance. All right, that’s going to do it for me, folks. Take care. I’ll see you tomorrow night when we take on the Blue Jays. Have a good one. Chirp at you later.
