I was in high school in the Bash Brothers era. I wanted to go to the playoffs so bad but I just couldn’t stomach paying $20 for a ticket to one game. lol
I was at that game! I was first base side second deck. Jose got his 40/40 award before the game. I couldn’t believe my dad paid $30/ticket for us to go. Good memories.
I was 6 when this game happened and remember watching on TV. Two years later when they played the Sox again, my dad called the house from work as he had been given tickets to the 1990 ALCS game also against the Sox and if I wanted to not go to school that day. Easiest decision an 8 year old had to make.
