Tyler Linderbaum Says He’s Impressed with Offensive Line so Far | Baltimore Ravens

Tyler, what are the differences for the O line this year? Last year, you have been trying to replace multiple guys this year. We start camp with a lot of familiar faces. Can you feel kind of the difference to this starter camp, last year, just along the whole line here? Yeah, I mean, uh, you know, anytimes you have reps together, it certainly helps. Uh the position is certainly a field thing. Um getting used to playing next to next next to each other is big and you know having guys coming back with experience certainly helps, but it’s a new year. There’s going to be new challenges and new stuff we need to work on. But um you know happy happy so far with you know how we’re coming in here and and working hard and trying to get better each and every day. That obviously you got a lot of new faces in the offensive line as well. What’s it been like getting to know those guys? Yeah, you guys have been awesome. Uh, good group, work really hard. Um, you know, really talented and, you know, just excited to see the improvement from, you know, day one to the end of camp and going into the preseason games. The Ravens tend to cross trainin some of their guards as centers. How involved are you how involved are you with those transitions and helping guys who aren’t used to snapping the ball, getting used to playing in the middle? Yeah, I mean, I think the biggest thing at that position, one, snapping the ball is just getting the reps. Um, you know, these guys are, you know, they work out their craft. Um, they’re talented, but, you know, any pointers I can help out and help with, you know, I’ll certainly say something, but it’s one of those things where you got to get the reps in and feel it out to to get better at. Sort of your own goal. Is there a new guy that you know takes time in the offse and has specific list of things you want to work on? Maybe one or two. Yeah, absolutely. You know, I have goals. I’ll keep them to myself, but um you know, personal goals, team goals, and something that you’re striving to get better at, you know, think about that each day and each each new season. So, what are you seeing from Daniel Fle under his belt? Yeah, you know, Daniel’s looked awesome. One, just coming in and in really good shape. Um, you know, he’s certainly been challenged to do so and I think he took that challenge on and then just, you know, continue to get better and better each and every day. Um, no, I’m excited for Daniel and the things that he’s going to be capable of doing this year. Going from wool from coach D before tell us the differences between the two stylistic I think, you know, I think I don’t know too many differences. is one they they both love the game of football. Um you know they’re going to challenge you, they’re going to expect the best from you and that’s what you kind of want in O line coach. um you know since day one where I’ve stepped in and done a tremendous job you know obviously taken over tough a tough situation but um you know guys have responded well to him and um take his coaching and you know he’s he’s made us a a better uh unit and a better football team how tough has it been first line yeah it’s good you know anytime you get out here play football it’s It’s a It’s a great day. Um, you know, it’s always the first few days back are always, you know, kind of getting back into the groove of things, but um, it’s been good. I like how the team responded to the heat today. Um, you know, and just look forward to more practices like this at Iowa. Obviously that offense ran a lot of zone schemes and I know you guys still do that in Baltimore, but with just the amount of stuff that you guys run, I guess how have you kind of evolved not only physically but strategically and technically to kind of do everything that is asked of this line? Yeah, I mean I think you know each scheme you know you got to approach a little different um you know whether it’s zone inside zone power um but you know just you get that with reps get that from coaching um you know philosophies you know you learn to take stuff from what you learned in college and you and learning in the NFL and then you try to apply that together to whatever various schemes you’re running but you know the better you’re at the better you are at uh multiple schemes the more versatile you can be more Tyler, I know I know we asked you earlier in the summer about the extension thing. I mean, is that something are you the kind of person where you wouldn’t want that to carry into the season? Um, are you open to something happening whenever it happens or kind of what’s your mindset on that as you get closer to football? Yeah. Um, you know, I’ll let Neil handle that and my job is to be as prepared as possible and get this football team ready to go week one. So, that’s all I’m really worried about. Did you consider like there’s a lot of guys in your contract situation that you know pulled in or made us think of it wouldn’t have gone OT. Why did you choose a different approach? I’m just I’m just I need to work on my craft and I need to get better. So,

  1. In the playoffs teams are contending against the refs as well. So many missed calls and incorrect calls go through every year. Mistake free refs better legit winning teams that deserve to advance and get to the BIG dance 👍🏽👍🏽
