GIANTS POSTCAST: Carson Whisenhunt’s DEBUT Spoiled by ANOTHER GIANTS LOSS

The San Francisco Giants lost again today, this time to the Pittsburgh Pirates, by a final score of 6-5. Carson Whisenhunt made his debut, and it was a mixed bag of results. He tossed five innings and gave up four runs on five hits while striking out three and walking two. He gave up all four runs in the first two innings before settling down in the final three that he pitched. The San Francisco Giants had a rally in the ninth inning that put the winning run on base, but needed one more hit to secure the win. With the loss, the San Francisco Giants are now 2-10 in their last 12 games.

  2. Why is this lineup not producing….well it’s pretty obvious at this point isn’t it??? It’s Melvin and his staff …no leadership no fire no motivation….they are trash

  3. Melvin has to go, I normally don't advocate firing coaches in season but, I think Christenson, Burrell, and Williams should be handed pink slips now. I'd have Wotus take over as bench coach on an interim basis and fire Melvin after the season.

  7. You sound like a Dodger fan. Not going to post a monologue, just curious who you want to sell? Realistically, what do you think Posey would do, as a seller? I figure buying or selling, they should see if there are any takers for Verlander, Yaz, and Flores, b/c they're on expiring contracts.

  8. Glad to see EEE on-board with stripping it down and selling it off. You can always talk yourself into imagining some miraculous turnaround, but the trajectory—and more importantly, the character—of this 2025 edition of the Giants is clear. Again: Posey is a winner and I believe he has a good eye for spotting losers (though WTH he was doing re-upping Melvin does give me some pause). Identify the losers on this roster and ship them out, including on the coaching staff. There is still too much Farhan-stink around this barn that needs sweeping out.

  9. How much longer will it take till everyone realizes Ramos is a liability the Giants can't afford and don't need? Flip him and whomever else it takes to bring in Kwan for 2026 and beyond.

  10. Melvin is the manager, its his job to rally the troops. He is not doing a good job at that. His lack of energy sets the wrong tone.
