Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers (07-28-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets
[Music] 953 954. We’ve got Matthew Boyd and the Cubs – 109. Jacob Msarowski and the Brewers – 101. Total of eight with some juice to the under at – 115. So Corby, what do we think on this one here? Another young guy. I ended up taking Mizarowski. So this line has moved a lot. So, last night at about 10:30, 11:00, I had Ms. Yarowski 6K’s even money. I ended up betting that last night. 6K’s even money. 7Ks was plus 210 last night before I went to bed. Woke up this morning. Now, this thing’s sitting at – 160 over 6 and + 125 + 130 for 7. So, the line certainly moved that way. I like the six. I’m getting the 6 – 136 to 7 at plus 125. I made it the second leg of the blazing sevens with burn. So, we got Miserowski and Burns with sevenks, but a lot of line movement here. The question with Miserowski, Corby, his pitch count’s been up and down. And so, his first start after the All-Star break, they pulled him after three and a third, 64 pitches, I want to say. There is a lot of talk about limiting his innings because last year was about 92 innings, the year before in the miners, about 90 innings. He’s sitting at 92 and a third innings right now. But if you listen to the interview with the manager, they talked about, look, he had started on July 8th. Then he only pitched the one inning in the All-Star game. And so it was two weeks in between starts. They didn’t want to overload his arm. So I do think you see him closer to 85 90 pitches today. Again, I’m speculating, but that would be the concern with Ms. right, the pitch count. That that’s what we’re worried about here comes Brewers. What do you think? Yeah, certainly. And and a guy like this, like I think inevitably people try to time the market too much. Um it’s pretty obvious like people are only going to bet his overs right now. It’s kind of like Paul skins last year. Like if you like the number the second it’s available, click it. Um point proven with Kyle getting a really good number here. Jacob Mizerowski like unless there’s like speculation on on this. Somebody knows the pitch counts. Um which is going to be impossible here. It’s going to be over or nothing basically steamed in the market all day. So if you want some CLV, just go bet misery overs at open. Um, if you don’t think that’s the right side, then then wait and bet the unders at like three o’clock. So, um, I think I think you’re getting a good price. His stuff, I don’t have to sit here and tell people his stuff’s good. Um, 101 fast ball, 94 slider. A curveball that can hit 90 miles an hour is just stupid. Um, candidly, so this is all comes down to a pitch count thing. The Cubs, I don’t like at the start of the season, I would have been nervous in this, but like I just haven’t been as impressed as maybe people give Cubs credit for from a bat standpoint. um at least myself. So, I don’t hate it. Uh you always worry about the pitch counts. I I am in kind of in the camp that inevitably they shut him down a little bit so that they can ramp him back up uh closer to the end of the season. But I have no clue. So, um I would be spec betting and and if I was to bet for I would not be betting an under. So, I’d be betting it the way you bet. Yeah, Kenny, I really do think when you sort of read between the lines there, when you look at why the pitch count was lower, I do think it was just because that two weeks off only threw the one inning, so they were sort of ramping his arm back up. I see in the chat box everyone’s getting We have football in three days, Kenny. Thursday night, we got football, you know what I mean? So, we’re getting pretty fired up. I get that. But, uh, I’m pretty fired up about Ms. This game today, by the way, they’re tied for first place. So, this is for first place in the division against, you know, who’s been the best pitcher. Does that change things? Do you think Ms. Rowski gets a longer leash today? Kenny, what do you think? Yeah, in in a division game at home, um I I could certainly see that. Um like I see this both ways, right? I mean, I I agree with everything Corby just said with the name I say, you know, the name value, but like I think at this point, like Mizerowski, at least in the gambling world, has some name value. He’s the the young strikeout machine that everybody loves. So, I agree that like I feel like at any point in time like you’re probably just getting a bad price on his overs because again everyone is so horny to to bet his overs. And the pitch count stuff makes it a little complicated. I mean I I had the same issue with with Paul SK two weeks ago where I thought I was getting cute and that the number that we were getting was reflective of a pitch count that I thought that he was going to, you know, well over exceed. Uh and then he didn’t and I got hooked on it. So, and then yesterday he does. Did you see yesterday they’re like, “Okay, go ahead. Throw 100 pitches and kiss my ass, dude.” 100%. And again, I and I’ I’ve got a I just I have a bone to pick with like really elite pitchers and strikeouts right now. Um I put in like a nine leg parlay Saturday night. You I had some promo that I had to burn. Um and the first leg missed, so I I didn’t even look at it. Uh and then it went eight for nine. The only leg that missed was Scooble eight strikeouts. Uh he had he had seven strikeouts. I would have paid like 45 grand. So that was that didn’t make my my Sunday hangover any better. And uh neither did my golfers falling off a cliff yesterday. Um but yeah, Kyle, like I if if I was going to bet this, I would bet something with Miserowski over. Um I’m not talking you out of it. I just I I I think I’m going to I’m going to stay away and I want I I need to see him throw 80 pitches for for me to get behind this, especially in a matchup like the Cubs. So, uh I hope it hits. He’s like my favorite player in all of baseball. Um it’s just it’s this one’s got a little stink to it. Yeah. And uh and look, Roger Long’s not wrong. Cubs have good eyes. Six fewest strikeouts per game in baseball. Although over the last three, they’ve been struggling a little bit. 13ks in their last game. Mizarowski is a different beast that they haven’t seen. So, for purposes of the show, I’m going to lock in Mizarowski 6Ks minus 136. Ladder it up to 7Ks plus 125. And it’s the second leg of the Blazing Sevensk parlay. We got 7Ks for Chase Burns and then 7Ks for Mizowski. I’ll give the third one out when we get to the Q&A. Dig big bets. put that in the we’ll talk about that in the Q&A.
