Despite us sucking, I would still like to see the team buy at the deadline. I’m ignoring anyone who says “you’re delusional if you think we’re still in it” because we are. 4 games for a WC is not insurmountable. Hell, even 8 games for the division isn’t. The right moves are there.
Yaz needs to be relegated to our 4th OFer and Matos sent back down to AAA to play everyday. I’m all in for Taylor Ward. Whatever it takes to get him here (besides Eldridge).
I’d imagine some team would trade for Flores to open up a spot for Eldridge. He’d still be a great bat for another contender to lengthen its bench. Raffy looks competent enough at 1st that we could start slotting Eldridge into the DH spot.
Keep Andrew Heaney in SF instead of watching him fly back across the country with Pittsburgh. He’s the perfect reliable pitcher this staff needs.
There is still a decent team on paper here in SF. A couple moves could get us right back on track. I want to see the team go for it. More baseball is better than no baseball.
i’m gonna pass on today for my mental health. have a good one yall, Bob Melvin has made this team so incredibly boring. It starts with his flat demeanor at the top.
