Mart-n. Now Bryce Harper with Mart-n cruising through the first two hitters, Mart-n Hall swinging and he got him three strikeouts from DavisMart-n. Mart-n. He got Turner, he got Schwarber and he got Harper. How about that start for Mart-n here at home, Christopher sanchez ready to tow the rubber. He’s finished up his warm up tosses nine and two on the year with an, er, a of 2.45. He has been one of the best pitchers in baseball and the Phillies love to lean on him pitch the third game of his career. His last time out here’s chase my drop ground ball shortstop waiting back on. Kepler will score. Here comes Harper’s thinking about second. The throw is high. He gets in there, it’s a two run double. He just kept on going. He’s so aggressive running the bases again. He knows with two outs, take a little extra chance. They robert with a two run shot. The White Sox have gotten to Sanchez for 22 run homers and they lead four to two. It’s the first time since April 6th that Sanchez has allowed four runs in a game. The Sox have a two run lead sixth inning and I would think this is going to be it for davis Mart-n who was just brilliant here tonight. Davis Mart-n exits with a 4 to 2 lead seventh inning Sanchez who is still in the game, he’s trailing 4 to 2. This is old school 2nd and 3rd 1 out. Sox lead 4 to 2, 2 to 2 bouncer over to third gobbled up by Kempa and they get Sosa that is going to bring Rob Thompson to the mound. Christopher Sanchez is done for the night as he will depart. Phillies will go to the bullpen 4 to 2. White Sox bottom of the eighth Sox lead 4 to 2. Seth Johnson is the new pitcher for the Phillies, an infield hit now a walk and all of a sudden White Sox with an opportunity here in the eighth inning here. So with two down 12 pitch, Sosa through the box and through for a hit around comes Vargas, he will score and Sousa does deliver that insurance run and a 52 sox lead and a chance for Moore here too with Colson Montgomery who’s got a two run homer, Montgomery waits. Strikes one to first Harper off the glove. Can’t find it. Montgomery hustling will score and Sosa heads to third hustle gets it done for Coulson. That is an all important insurance run. It hits the bag. It’s a good thing. It did sox lead 62. We go to the ninth as Grant Taylor comes on and tries to nail it down. He’s out for the 17th time. His, er, a of 466 and Otto Kemps needs to try to get on base. The Phillies are down four now, a 2 to 1 swung on and hit out in the deep right in the air and it’s caught by Tuchman on the warning track for the first out of the ninth. Kepler is one for three, 2 to 2 pitch. He struck him out swinging two down ninth inning and it will bring up Bryson. They like the video for the moment. He got him. Taylor pumps 100 and the White Sox win it a rare blemish for Christopher sanchez tonight. And the White Sox have taken game one of this three game series by a final score of 6 to 2.

Colson Montgomery got things started in the bottom of the 3rd inning, launching a 2-run home run to tie the game 2-2.

Luis Robert Jr. followed suite in the bottom of the 4th, striking the Phillies with yet another 2-run home run to take the lead.

The Sox tacked on some insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th inning, with RBI singles from both Lenyn Sosa and Montgomery. Sosa finished the day going 3-3.

Davis Martin earned the win in his 15th start going 5.2 IP with 7 strikeouts.

The Sox bullpen shut the door in relief with combined efforts from Jordan Leasure, Steven Wilson, and Grant Taylor.

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-2, at Rate Field in Chicago, IL.
