Glad to see Q and Teel both hitting today
Both Teel and Quero are in the same lineup
Well that’s interesting to see, we still await trades and this is what we have wanted to see for a while
If we sweep, we’d end the series tying last years win total.. I really think it happens..
Let’s get a trade come on. 49 hours left until the deadline.
I’m predicting that Cannon will be dialed tonight and we’ll get the win on the back of his lengthy outing
The Orioles just got the Blue Jays 10th ranked prospect (according to MLB pipeline) for Seranthony Dominguez.
Obviously these rankings about just a reference point. Some teams have stronger farms and others have weaker. A 10th ranked prospect in one system is the 15th in another or the 7th in some other system. So it’s a very loose definition.
But it’s interesting to see some of these early returns and how that impacts what the Sox will get.
I love this team and the direction. With that said I’d be amazed if we don’t lose the series to the Phillies
Stat of the Day:
The Sox have sent 55 different batters to the plate this season, tied for second with the Diamondbacks, behind only the Mets with 56.
Benintendi RBI climb: Benny now ranks 135th on the all-time Sox list, with 151 RBIs. Next target with 155 is Vance Law, who played with the club from 1982-4, mostly at third base. His best Sox year was 1984, with 17 homers, 59 RBIs, and an OPS of .713. He was the son of longtime Pirate hurler Vern Law, and holds the AL record for the longest errorless game at third base. That was the famous two-day 25-inning game between the Sox and Brewers at Comiskey on May 8 and 9, 1984, the longest game by time in major league history, 8 hours and 6 minutes. The game was decided on a walkoff homer by Harold Baines, and the winning pitcher was Tom Seaver!
