From Amick's appearance on +/- around the 6:15 minute-mark.
On S&T options: "My understanding is I don't think the Warriors were really interested in Devin Carter, same goes for DeMar DeRozan."
"As of couple weeks ago, a team like the Kings, they weren't looking to pay Kuminga maybe not even up into the $20M range annually. That's an issue for his camp."

Lol so many people talking about “other teams are willing to pay him what he wants” 🤦🏿♂️
A saga like this really reinforces how incompetent some agents are.
Kuminga’s team completely misread the market and value. They should’ve taken the deal last year that was allegedly offered
That’s what happens when u want the rookie max when you didn’t prove anything
if other teams are not willing to go as high as $20m a year… then the Warriors are still going above and beyond with their reported 2 year-$40m contract offering.
it’s too bad JK isn’t willing to fire his agent for malpractice. a good agent would have prepared his client for this scenario at least a year in advance, with the new CBA
Everyone wants the rookie max, hell I want it
That was a couple of weeks ago, and Kuminga and his agent have since met with the Kings, and it went well. So they probably upped it to 20.
I think people don’t understand that he doesn’t want to return to the Warriors unless it’s an overpay. Reporting over the last week has basically been he’d be willing to take less from another team that promises him a larger role. He’s just done with Golden State, which is doing its best to get value for him, either now or later. This is a much simpler situation than everyone is making it out to be.
Lol!!
Thats sad for JK
But, expected. Teams won’t pay big money on 1/2 seasons worth of work
The funny thing about this is he wants to get paid big bucks, but doesnt understand had he been locked in on defence and rebounding and not forcing the issue on offence he would have easily been demanding that much.
I mean, it’s pretty obvious he’s not got a lot of value right now so this isn’t a shock at all.
He doesn’t have the value he thinks he has, new CBA hitting hard and these are the consequences. Same is happening with Giddey, Cam Thomas, etc.
Youd think at a certain point Kuminga would realize his best option is to suck it up and return to the Warriors for half a season
Why would anyone pay that much for him?
He doesn’t want to play for the Warriors. I’m not sure why y’all don’t understand this basic concept. He doesn’t want to be here.
We’ll just match anything <$20M. We can do that even if Horford and Milton are already signed, right?
The new CBA is clearly making it tough on “mid-range” players. The stars will always get paid. They win games and they put asses in the seat. Decent players making MLE money or less will always be able to find a job, because payroll discipline is more important than ever. Meh players scoring $20-30M per year will be increasingly rare. Every GM in the League gets this, but Kuminga’s agent clearly does not.
If the Kings offered Saric + Carter ($10.3M) then their offer has to start at $20.6M just for salary matching.
So tired of hearing Kuminga drama
If no team is offering $20m then what’s the hold up on signing Horford and Melton? Let’s get those signings done at least.
