Chicago Cubs OUTCLASSED In Milwaukee

flat out unserious, uncompetitive, outclassed, anything that you want to say. I’m Sam over from the Lockdown Cubs podcast and uh Cubs are currently trailing 93 to the Brewers late. Never felt like they were in this game. Multiple opportunities early to break the game open and and get a big hit. Uh the middle of the order guys, Kyle Tucker, Sea Suzuki, even Michael Bush are really struggling. Dansby had some bad ABS with runners on. Colin Ray wasn’t very good. Drop balls in the outfield by reliable guys like Pete and Nicoer. If you didn’t know any better, you you you’d say that this this team’s just not ready for the moment. Maybe you don’t know any better. Uh the glass half full is is that, you know, it’s still late July. We’re going to get to see these guys on our field and uh a month, less than a month, and hopefully have revenge on our minds because u right now this this team just isn’t up to standard and they and they look like they’re they’re not at the Brewers level and that’s just a

  1. I was hoping the guys were going to come out strong, on top of their game, and win it for Ryne! So, so disappointing & frustrating!

  2. This trade deadline is turning into:
    1) Reward mediocre leadership
    2) Praise a system of money in > money out
    3) Disregard the needs of the on field product
    4) Say the onfield product is championship caliber

  3. Hard to be a cub fan right now in Madison, Wisconsin Christ the Brewers lost three of their best players from last year and they’re still kicking ass

  4. They played great baseball at the start of the season against good teams. They took advantage of a soft schedule playing mediocre baseball and built a lead. Now they're playing crappy baseball and barely staying 500. I'm starting to look forward to football. I'm tired of all the trade talk. I HATE BAD BASEBALL. And that's all we've been getting lately.

  5. I will never undermine my team, the other team can play as good as they can, but I will never quit in my team!! Cubs will bounce back!

  6. yup, this is what ive been saying. this starting staff is mid af. Thats why Ive never really bought in to be like super hyped. its a fun team, a good team……but weve all seen what happens to offense-first teams. It just doesnt matter when facing pitchers who dont suck and hit their spots and sequences. Also they just have better stuff than all the Cubs pitchers.

Its just a pile of ok number 3 and 4 pitchers. Imanaga's blow-up games are becoming more frequent and worse. Frankly im kinda scared now what hes gonna look like in another 2 years. Rea has been pitching over his head all year. His fastball just doesnt sink or run or cut enough. Steele is hurt but hes a 2 anyway we all know it deep down. Hell hed have been 3 or 4 on the 2016 team we all know that, right? Ben Brown is still learning how to be consistent. Cade Horton probably wont "pop" till next year but yea hes got the most potential. Lets see; Jordan Wicks looks like a bust. Assad is a useful innings eater and simultaneously underrated but also exactly what im talking about; just another number 3 or 4 at best. Taillon's age, injuries, amd cancer have all combined to rob him of tbe ace talent he once had and relegated him to guess what? Another number 3/4. No knock on the guy I feel bad for him he seems like a good dude. Then he pulls his damn calf. Qhen it rains it pours.

There aint no Jake Arrieta or Jon Lester on this team. By an absolute miracle; for the second year in a row the Mariners scraps they werent using saved you. By the grace of god you got as much out of Pomeramz and Flexen as you could ever hope to get. Happy trails to Flexen; the man certainly TRIED.

But yea man; this pitching staff requires too much McGuyver-ing to get working. Too much bubble-gum and duct-tape going on. Its caught up to them now. Big sad.

  7. Cubs have way too many pitchers throwing it down the middle of the plate! The pitching coach needs to step up Jed needs to get some better pitchers I don't think we have the stuff to make it to the world series.

  8. Brewers fan and the one difference from Counsell and Murphy is Murphy has that old school fire and Counsell always is the stoic, even keeled guy and the teams reflect that. Other teams fans (like on Bleed Cubbie Blue) and Dodger forums accuse us of cheating and get mad because we play small ball and relentlessly keep the pressure on. We aren't going to hit a ton of homeruns, but we play smart, fundamental baseball. The kind they teach you in Little League and it's working

  9. 2 times in the first 5 innings, Cubs ground into double plays with runners on 1st and third- one out. Both times should've scored a run. Simple, PCA on 3rd 1st time and Shaw on 3rd 2nd time. On first pitch, don't swing and have runner advance to 2nd. They won't throw to second because of the speed on 3rd. Instead… 2 separate inning ending DP's that would've changed the early half of the game. And PCA playing Mike Tyson with the wall instead of hustling after a live ball was childish and very, very NOT PROFESSIONAL

  10. It’s literally just the pitching. An offensive cold streak in late July isn’t unheard of, but a “contender”with only 2 legitimate starting arms is.
