Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles – Game 2 – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | July 29, 2025 MLB Season

It’s 94 at first pitch. The second pitch, a cutter hit to Raone Lauraniano. And a quick out for Brandon Young. Here’s a one-two. And Bette chases the cutter. There goes the strikeout streak for Bo Bashette. Another good cutter got ahead of Addison Barger. And a ground ball smothered to Holiday who then couldn’t get it out of his glove. In fact, I think And Young’s 3 0 will be called ball four. Next one. Another 3-2. He struck him out. Burned him at 96. And the hardest pitch of the inning gets Young out of the jam. One of the Blue Jays biggest surprises this year. The 63year-old starts the game with a ground ball to Jackson Holiday. And Jackson is retired. He’s got some experience and I just don’t think that they were expecting him to come alive and do what they’ve done what he’s done for the Blue Jays so far. Five balls and popups. Hard ground ball here. So, a couple of ground balls to second and this one was right at Schneider. It’s a one two three first inning straw squares and lays it down. Kobe Mayo flips to Jackson Holiday for a three sacrifice up. I think a good fast ball inside right here freezes him to the curveball and that is squirreled over to third. Gets it to first quickly and gets the out there. Located it well. Fast ball again. How about that? He triples up on the heater and throws one by him and down to third. Nice pick by Will Wagner. Shot puts it there in time. strikes out on a cutter from Eric Lowour who has two KS midnight in the month. He homered twice, drove in three, and then he blisters this ball through the middle. Lauraniano darting around second. He’s on his way to third. He’s in there sliding just for fun. Bring in at least the first Orioles run. Kobe takes ball four instead to load the bases after the visit from Heinman to 2-2. He struck him out. Went right back to the back door cutter. Three runners in scoring position. A walking sack bunt and Guerrero softline drive. Soft by his standers. The second they should frankly. Barger chopper to shortstop. Gunnar Henderson off the backand throws him out. And he sees another one because he swings at it. Popped up to Gunner Henderson. Brandon Young with a perfect third inning. And I apologize for throwing at your head last week. You know, I swear I didn’t mean to. O’Neal vaults one toward the coaches box and Guerrero has it. Round number two. Bragg, Trey Gibson. There’s some really good arms down there. I think they just added another. Low retires the top three in the lineup in order. There’s a good chance the state of their bullpen. We’ll see him today too. Here’s a high chopper that sneaks over a drawn in Mayo. Base hit for Heineman and Clement motors to third. Straw Gold Glove winner in 2022. Elite defensive center fielder who grounds the ball to short. Straw can run. Holiday cannot get it there at first in time. No chance to get Miles Straw. Strong in shadow, holds up. Lucas drives a two strike fast ball to center for Carlson. Jay’s get another run. Couple of hits. Six of them in total as Adley swats a ground ball down short and Ernie Clement who can play everywhere. Throws him out. I don’t get this guy. I’ll get the next one. Oh, heard to left field. That ball’s hit well out in the corner off the top of the wall. kicks away from Lucas all the way into the other corner and left. O’Harn to third base and a stop sign there. Ryan O’Harn with a mad dash around the bases. His first triple of the season brings in Lauriano to put the Orioles on the board. 3-2 pitch, breaking ball, slow ground ball. Schneider gloves it, throws out, but Raone gets the job done. And Mayo fights this one into left for a fly out to Lucas for a fast ball. Breaking ball instead. Grounded to Aras. He makes the pick. He makes the throw. And Bochett is 043 for the most part. He has straightened it out since. Can he get through five? Yes, he can. Jackson Holidays running. Good pitch to throw on. Jackson’s in there anyway. A 3-2 coming. O’Neal got under it. Flipped the bat aside on a fly ball to center. Jackson will tag and he will go to third. He’ll run on Miles Strong and he read the scouting report. So Holiday takes a base on out number two. Henderson to right field. That ball’s well struck but caught by Barger. He latherthered it offer. line to burst. It’s a double play. That’ll work. Kobe moved okay there and just had to do a little shuffle to get to the bag. [Applause] Longest career start. But in the end, they’re looking at developing guys, too. So, it’s not always about that finished product. There you go. Strike three and he ends the night. How fitting. High leverage reliever for the first place Jays. now gets a little bouncing ball to third. Hit the lip of the grass. Made it a tougher play for Wagner 4 hours ago. Soft ground ball from Straw. Urias goes to second. Gets the lead out there. Had the one error in the first game, but otherwise this has been a fine defensive day. Makes the fast ball even better. There goes Straw. Rutman’s throw. It’s a good one. Oh, Henderson had the tag on him. Brian Walsh was ready to fist pump him out, but Gunner lost the ball on the swipe. Yeah, definitely out. Great throw. Rushman comes up, makes a Here’s Bo Bashed. First pitch, ground ball. A chance for two. A flip from Jackson. A turn from Gunnar. A double play to end the inning. Throws it again. And the Orioles know that feeling. Dominguez starts his post Orioles career. A ball to him for a double play. Now he’s trying to stay out of it. Carlson’s on the run. Carlson feet first. Safe at second. Carlson gets a huge lead. He’s on the way to third and Dominguez stepped off. Oh, he caught him. Yeah, he went to the inside move right there. So Carlson giveth Carlson taketh away and then Dominguez taketh away. The Orioles rally and he does. Barger belts one to right center field. Lauraniano’s on his horse. He slides. He cuts the ball off. He comes up firing late from an E. Addison Barger has a one out double and the Blue Jays in the driver’s seat. Ground ball. Second base. Jackson Holiday. Gunnar Henderson did it again. Another inning ending double play. Backto back innings. It’s two- pitch. O’Neal sky high popup. Guerrero crashes down from first and he gives way and get Gunnar to chase here. No, he can’t. Gunner blisters one in the zone. That ball is absolutely rocked off the wall. trickles away from the right fielder Lucas and Henderson with an absolute screaming missile is into second. High fly ball to right field from Rutman. Back to the wall. Lucas jumps. Lucas did not make the catch. Balls on the ground at his feet. Here comes Gutter. He will score and the Orioles take the lead. Oh, ground ball to second. Taylor made but bobbled by the new second baseman Wagner. Seen more guys DF8 than back in the big leagues with the same team within a few weeks. Raone has called for a strike on the swing by home plate umpire Nick Mara Martin’s career in 134 games. And he hits Clement and it’s a painful hit by pitch of that. Ernie Clement hits somewhere in the hand area. It can’t be a nice and easy stomach right now in all likelihood. And now it’s a bunt situation. Nine balls, one strike. There’s a strike. It’s bunted. It’s a good bunt by Straw. Martin had to throw a strike to first and did. He got him. Well, that’s one heck of a pitch right there. Can they do it again in the dirt? What a pick. Adley Rutman just saved the game. Guerrero looming. Bette waiting. Martin throwing strike three. The marvelous Martin with his first major league save. And the Orioles take two in the double header from first place Toronto.
