Rangers & Angels Get INTO IT After Mike Trout & Zach Neto Hit by Pitches BACK-TO-BACK 👀

I feel he’s going to get a sweeper here now. One ball, two strikes. Neto trying to knock in an insurance run. It’s Marcata at third or rather Compro at third. [Music] Neto gets hit again. Second time tonight. Third time that the Rangers have hit a batter in this game. Plus the seven walks. He’s right on the plate and he doesn’t give up that inside part of the plate, too. Gets him right on that padding in the elbow area. You can see where he’s at, how close he is to the plate. He’s now been hit by nine pitches this year. That’s tied with Joe Adel for the most on the team. [Applause] So, here’s Trout. Base hit and a walk tonight. [Applause] like one right in there from Armstrong. Look like they were trying to throw a fast ball in and it leaked out over the plate. [Applause] Oh, he got by a pitch. That got him on the hand. right on the hand. Ray Montgomery kind of barking toward the mound for a moment that Armstrong was being intentional, but now Ray Armstrong or rather Ray Montgomery pointing over toward the Ranger dugout. Bruce Bochi wants to come out and now some of the others are coming out as well. So, the bench is clear in this scenario after back-to back Angels were hit by pitches. That’s four times tonight. And Ray Montgomery is heated. I mean, especially when you have back to back, if you can’t pitch inside, the old thing is you don’t pitch inside. So, the Angels and Rangers kind of gather around the umpires. Nobody really shouting back at Ray. One guy’s not coming out of the bullpen. That would be the guy you would almost want to come out of the bullpen. That would be Kennley Jansen. Yeah, the bullpen’s really unnecessarily running in as this thing’s already dispersing before the bullpens even got there. [Applause] So, both teams took the field, although really the only one that had much to say there was the interim manager himself, Ray Montgomery. He’s protected Mike Trout and and obviously Zack Neto, too. That’s four hit five pitches in one game. I mean, runs it in there. There’s He’s throwing the ball inside, which in that spot there, you’re trying to keep the batter away from getting, you know, getting that barrel on the bat, but right on the hand again. Reo got hit on the hand wrist area, too. I mean, that’s a dangerous spot. Yeah. It’s not that the Angels think that any of this is intentional, but really just saying, you know, figure it out. If you’re not going to be able to control the inside part of the plate, then don’t go in there. This might take a while for the bullpens guys to get back out to the bullpen. Why might they even come out? Silly. By the time they came out, it was already over. Angels have never had a game in franchise history where they’ve been hit five times. That could happen here. They’ve been hit four, which ties the franchise mark. Nolan Showell has two walks and he’s been robbed

  5. 2 HBP in a row should be an automatic ejection, try again next time. If you are this bad of a pitcher on that night you don't need to be fumbling around on a major league field

  16. I’d take this as Montgomery probably just scolding the rangers dugout for having poor pitching leading into back to back hitters. Still not really needed as an angels fan.

  18. This is why I absolutely dislike the DH rule. Make the pitchers hit. They’re athletes too. Quit treating them like prima Donna’s. They had to hit in Little League all the way up. There would be a lot less hit batsmen and a lot more control inside if the pitcher knew he had to step into the batter’s box.
