Russell Westbrook squabbles with a Lakers reporter. When Westbrook asked the reporter what he envisioned, the reporter responded “I would imagine some wins.” The Lakers were 27-35 on that point of the season.

  1. I really hated Russ on the team. He wasnt good enough on the court to be with his attitude all the time.

  2. “I had no expectations for the season just like I don’t in every situation”

Sums up his Lakers tenure, really post OKC era on a technical level, but he was at his worst with the Lakers

  3. “What did I envision?”

“I guess you envisioned sucking ass this season and going 33-49 if you’re asking me that question.”

  4. The winning was on lebrons shoulders period, they haven’t won jack since getting rid of Westbrook so he obviously wasn’t the issue

  5. Russell just wasn’t a good fit next to Lebron and the roster needed perimeter shooting

  6. Westbrook had no expectations…His expectations was dancing on the sidelines having fun win or LOSE…OK Russ.

  7. His bum ass was part of all those 35 losses and played no part in those 27 wins

  8. He said “is the season over?“ as if they’re about to go on a run or something lol

  9. Russ handled the criticism for his poor play very badly in LA but he was used to being beloved for everything he’s done everywhere he went before there were actual expectations on him like there was with the Lakers

Even in OKC when he was an automatic first round exit the media wouldn’t treat him badly, they still loved him because he was there and KD left them, he was not used to people actually holding him to a standard

  10. I still can’t believe how arrogant and ignorant Westbrook was with how bad he was lol it’s like he saw the complete opposite of what everyone else saw on the court and he was seriously confused lol

  11. What the hell is up with the Westbrook slander in this comment section right now?

  12. Rough interview. I just wanna say I really don’t care for the instances when reporters take a minute and a half to preface their question, just so their question makes sense. Could you lead any harder?

  13. This was such a fucking garbage question I don’t blame Russ for having an attitude. Dumbass reporter.

  14. Remember when this dude was playing so ass in 2023 that there were tons of posts on /r/NBA about how Russ loves his family and donates to charities, therefore we shouldn’t call him ass at basketball.

  15. I would not want to be in the podium getting asked these questions by these reporters. Its like getting scolded by your parents.

  16. Russ was above average shooting (18.5/gm 44% FG), top 10 assists (7.1/gm), top 5 rebounds (7.4/gm) for PGs that 2021/2022 season. Also played a whopping 78 games (regular season). Above his averages? No. Above league averages, yes. Good fit for the lakers? No. Good player? Yes

  17. Westbrook was being super immature here. He knows damn well what the dude is talking about.

However, can we talk about how often these reporters lack the skill necessary to ask a question without rambling on and on and repeating themselves like three times? Come on dude its your job. Write it down or something goddamn.

    I see it so often.

  18. westbrook has always been totally unwilling to answer hard questions about his play and how it translates to winning. this isn’t new, it has never been new.

but it is always funny. one of the main reasons he’s one of my least favorite players in the modern nba. selfish, even with his assists, and has zero accountability or maturity.

  19. Corny as fuck lmao.

“Haha, I got you! I actually didn’t envision even a scrap of success!”

  20. Russ on the Lakers had no accountability. He really turned around my opinion on him as a player.

  21. “You still didn’t answer my question”, as the guy answers his questions for the third time… love Russ, but man, few things are more annoying than listening to an idiot talking around a subject because it hurts his feelings.
