Dallas Cowboys’ 2025 Draft Class IMPRESSIVE In Training Camp! UDFA is a HIDDEN GEM!

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s not often that NFL rookies come into the league and hit the ground running, let alone an entire draft class. The Dallas Cowboys may have hit pay dirt, though, because their draft class, it is living up to the bill that we set out 3 months ago. This was the video that we actually made after the NFL draft and upon the conclusion of the Cowboys signing multiple undrafted free agents. In today’s show, I’m going to update you on the progress of each of the 2025 rookies, and we’re going to talk about an undrafted free agent that I already tabbed as a sleeper, and he is making me look extremely smart. Let’s get right into this one as we get into some early camp risers in the rookie rankings. [Music] Man, shut your up. All right, first things first. We’re going to just kind of go down the line here because we got a lot of good stuff from a lot of our rookies. And thus far through training camp, literally every rookie that’s actually been out on the field for the Cowboys, Sam’s one of them, and we’re going to discuss them in just a second. Every one of these guys has impressed. And every one of these guys not only look like they have earned a roster spot, but they look like they’re probably going to play a pretty prominent role on the team this season, including an undrafted free agent that we’re going to discuss later on in today’s video. But first things first, Tyler Booker. Tyler Booker has been living up to the bill. He is a big physical mauling road grader of a right guard. And yes, he has had a little bit of fluctuation, that being actually working with the second team offense one of the days of padded practice. However, since then, he’s been elevated back up to the first team, and this was before Rob Jones’s injury, so don’t y’all start in the comments. And and he’s been looking the part. Tyler Booker is impressed. He’s moving well. He’s playing strong. He’s playing with a really good base, and he’s pretty much doing everything he’s being asked to do in training camp thus far, and putting in extra work with the likes of a veteran such as a Rob Jones at the conclusion of each training camp period. Tyler Booker looks every bit of the first round pick that the Dallas Cowboys used on him. And with an injury bug kind of ravaging the Cowboys offensive line ranks, Tyler Booker’s ascent and his continued steady play is going to be much needed for this upcoming season to have some stability on that O line. You can see on this play here, Tyler Booker actually handles the newly paid Osa Adigi damn well right here as they are in the center of your screen somewhat where I’m kind of circling my mouse at. And you can see number 97 flashing right here. This is where Osa Diggizu and Tyler Booker are engaged. You can see once Tyler Booker gets his hands on Osa Diggizu and Osa loses a little bit of balance. The play is over from there. I It’s over with. No more no MS. T Book did his job right there. And he’s doing it against one of the better defensive tackles, one of the better three techs in the NFL. And that’s kind of what you’ve been seeing from a Tyler Booker. No, he hasn’t been dominating OSA or anything like that in camp, but he has been looking damn good. and he has absolutely looked a part of the first rounder that they used on him. Here’s another example right here from Patrick Walker. He says, “Tyler Booker does a great job of getting into Dak Samborn’s pads and steerings.” All right, here’s another example right here. Once the ball is snapped, you will be able to kind of see how this thing plays out right here. So, TBook is over here on the right side of Cooper BB. He is absolutely handling up business over here. And whoever that is, he was engaging with, he literally blocked him all the way to the back of the pile. You’ll see Tyler Booker kind of running back there. He’s near Dak Prescott at this point. Jack Samborn’s way back there. Completely took him out of the play, right? So again, Tbook Book showing some promise. Next up, let’s talk about the second round pick, Donovan Azariku. Now, he’s had plenty of press over the last week and a half or so because he’s been impressive, and I don’t have to spend too much time on this one. Donovan Aaru has been an absolute terror on that defensive line. He looks extremely refined and many are saying he looks like a vet. He He’s pass rushing and the way he’s handling his sets is much so like a vet. And even right here on this play, while it wasn’t interception, it would have never gotten there because Ezie actually made it to the quarterback and this would have easily been a sack right here. You can see he blows right past Tyler Gton and I mean the burst that he had coming off the line right there, Tyler Gayton had no chance. And yes, Tyler Gon has had a strong camp, but make no mistake about it, man, Donovan Ezrau has won his battles. Absolutely right. And and that would have been a sack. That would have easily been a sack. The ball came out way way late. So that interception really doesn’t even matter, man. I’m be completely honest, man. Donovan Ezrau has absolutely looked like a monster on that field. And he’s absolutely going to be the perfect compliment to a Michael Pares. I really want to see Micah out there on the field. I don’t know with these injuries happen, I don’t know if I really want to see him out there on the field during training camp like that no more, but I want to see Micah out there for the purpose of seeing this pass rush behold. I want to see just how devastating it’ll be. And I want to see just how well our offensive line will hold up against what’s going to be one of the top three pass rushes in the NFL. I’m calling it right now. The Cowboys are going to have like the top three pass rush in the NFL this upcoming season. So the offensive line getting a chance to practice against those guys. Nothing but good things. But in addition to to making highlights in camp, he’s also taking headlines in articles as well. That’s just how well Donovan Ezrau has been performing. You see here the headline of this one is Donovan Ezrau flashing special ability to begin Cowboys camp. So yes, he’s making waves. He’s impressing people. See here, he has a bunch of tools in his tool kit. The last one we saw against TG was a speed rush. This one right here against Aim Richards power rush. I mean, got him right up into Joe Milton’s lap. So that right there probably would have been a sack. Probably would have been a disruption. If anything, would have been an inaccurate pass just because of how he got the left tackle on his quarterback’s kneecap essentially. Right. Again, Donovan Ezrau showing out at camp. So, another rookie that looks to play a major role. We already talked about TBook. He’s likely going to be starting. Donovan Reichu, the way he’s playing right now, he’s probably going to end up starting or at least sharing starter snaps with someone. Then our third round picks of Rebel. He’s still been recovering from injuries, so we can’t really evaluate him, not really count him towards today’s video. But we have Jaden Blue, our fifth round pick running back, and he is starting to really grab the attention of all the onlookers. He’s starting to show out and show up a lot more. And I’m serious y’all. By the end of training camp, I would not be surprised at all if Jaden Blue finds himself in that top two slot in the running back room, right? I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds himself as one of the prominently used running backs for the Cowboys going into the season, especially showcasing his ability to receive the ball. Not only that, but the burst that he’s showing out of the back field. And he’s actually showing pretty good vision as well. He’s seeing the hole, he’s hitting the hole, making one cut, and he’s gone. Right. um Jaden Blue that speed, the feel that he’s showing and and more importantly his head coach said the professionalism that he’s showcased has been the most impressive thing to him. So, not only has been he’s has he been impressing on the field, but he’s actually been impressing off the field as well and that can only bode well for a Jaden Blue as we come upon important decisions pertaining to the Dallas Cowboys depth chart. But just overall, Jaden Blue has looked really, really good. And as Nick Harris said, it’s hard to ask for a much better first week of camp than what Jaden Blue gave you this week, right? You can see here kind of the burst on display, man. So, really, really like Jaden Blue. Really like what I’m seeing from him so far. And so far, um, what Cowboys fans kind of expected from him. He’s fitting the bill. He he looks the part of what we need out of our running back room. And I’m hoping that this can continue and he continues to even get better as training camp progresses once he gets more comfortable with what he’s being asked to do in the back field. Next up, someone that hasn’t been discussed a whole lot by many people at all. Another rookie out of this rookie draft class, Shamar James. He has had a ton of praise give heaped upon him the entire offseason program from the rookie mini camp to the OTAAS to now training camp. He’s making plays in training camp as well. You can see on this play, several starters are in the game. So, it looks like they have Shamar James actually practicing with some of the starters or at least with the first or second team at different times. and he’s been impressive, man. The run fits that he’s been displaying and his ability to run downhill and and the athleticism has been on display. So, Shamar James, another mid round draft pick, the linebacker out of Florida, another late steel, another hidden gem. And with Eberlu’s back there working his magic on that linebacking core, there’s no telling what this kid could actually develop into because though so far it’s been a ton, and I mean a ton of good things said about a Shamar James. haven’t seen much negative at all and I think by and large he’s kind of taken some people by surprise with how effective he’s been so far in the offseason program. Same thing we showed the run fit there seeing with the pads on here laying that hat on people. So really like Shamar James not afraid to get physical, not afraid to get there in them trenches and lay the hat on folks. You see he met Jaden Blue in the hole right there before he ever he was ever able to actually reach past the line of scrimmage. I mean that was a really really good play right here. Again, look at it again. Shamar James going to be number 50 right here. He comes down with a head seam. Soon as he sees it develop, soon as he sees that hole develop, he hits the hole before Jay Blue was ever actually in the hole. Watch what Shamar James, look, Shamar James is already taking off. Jaden Blue is still behind his center right here. But he sees the hole that developed right here between the right tackle and the right guard. Shamar James instantly run towards that hole and before Jaden Blue even is able to get through there, he’s already met him. So that’s exactly what you’re looking for out of your linebacker. That’s the type of feel that you’re looking for out of your linebacker. So again, another rookie showcasing some damn good stuff in training camp and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Jamar James finds himself in a rotation in that linebacker room. I absolutely think he’s going to make the main roster for sure just based off of how much they’ve praised him this off seasonason and how he showed up so far in training camp. Next up, one of my personal favorites, man, Jay Toy. a guy I told y’all to keep an eye on because he was going to end up playing a critical role within the Dallas Cowboys structure. And the reason he’s going to play a critical role is because Mazy Smith has been getting his ass beat. And we’re going to talk about that probably in a completely separate show because we have to make another video about Mazy, man, cuz now it’s starting to get into a critical red type of situation. But right now, we’re talking about Jay Toy. First of all, Patrick Walker’s reporting that Jay Toya has been eating up double teams most of the time. And the one time they didn’t double him, he bull rushed his way into Milton’s personal space. Collapsing the pocket from the middle, which you know is the kiss of death for most quarterbacks, especially if you don’t have real good field out there on the field. But 93 right here, Jay Toy, he’s the guys on on the knee right here, the big behemoth in the middle, the big back right here. And you’re going to see once that ball is snapped, you’re going to see him immediately the get off. Boom. And he’s pushing that pocket. Pushing that pocket. And I mean, and and and the offensive line was right there in Joe Milton’s airspace. and Joe Milton had to escape the pocket. He had to leave the pocket because Jay Toya is just that strong of a grown ass man. Now remember, they’re not going to be asking that guy to try to shed blocks and get towards the QB. They’re going to be asking him to play gap responsibility. They’re probably going to be asking him to to be a two gapper. They’re probably going to be asking him to just hold off blocks from getting to the second level while not giving ground on the line of scrimmage. And by all accounts, he’s been able to do that thus far in training camp. And again, when he is left one-on-one, then he is a threat to actually make a play on the football. So, Jay Toy showing some really good things right there in the trenches. And at this point, many are drawing a circle around him as a rookie who can see a healthy number of reps in his first season, especially with the way Mazy Smith has looked even after this. I mean, Patrick Walker posted this like a week ago. Even after this, Mazi has looked worse and worse and worse. And when the pass came, I see him get drove back like eight yards by Tyler Smith, then pancake. That type of stuff. That’s how you get other guys on the field, man. And I thought I would not be surprised at all if we see Jay Toy um taking majority of those one tech snaps by the end of the training camp at all because I think that he’s just a more equipped player for that particular position. He’s a more natural. Next up we have Phil Mafa. Now there isn’t many highlights of Phil Mafa from training camp. I don’t think people are actually prioritizing taking video of him or anything but Brian Shottenheimimer is taking notice and he went out of his way to bring up Phil Mafa in his press conference after the first padded practice. He said, “Phil Mafa, I’m starting to feel him.” Right. Uh Phil Mafa showing showcasing some speed, showcasing some power, and I think by and large, he’s probably the biggest back that the Cowboys have on their roster right now. Just just overall size. But not only that, he has that natural running back vision. Remember, he was the stud running back at Clemson. And the only reason he kind of fell down draft charts is because he got injured last season. I believe he was nursing a shoulder injury last season, right? So, he kind of fell down draft charts a little bit. But Phil Mafa, another guy from this draft class, super late draft pick. So, it’s not like you’re expecting him to be a pro bowler or be the starting running back, but he is making some noise to the point to where he could realistically end up taking a job from a guy like a Doo Vaughn. He could realistically end up forcing them to make a decision on one of those veteran running backs they signed, Miles Sanders and Devonte Williams. Do they want to keep both of those guys or they want to keep both of their rookies they just drafted along with Hunter Lipkkey and then one of the vets? That’s a four running back room right there. And obviously you have Cavonte Turpin switching in as well. So how many actual running backs do you need? I think Phil Mafa is starting to make enough noise that at minimum he’s going to have a practice squad spot. And then we can’t forget about a Johnny Cornelius, the sixth round pick at offensive tackle, the right tackle out of Oregon. Another guy that we kind of covered a little bit on the channel and I said that he looked good and right here he just as Patrick Walker said he sent the guy through the gates of hell. So he finished the block completely blocked him all the way out of bounds and obviously showing some good mobility when he’s being asked to pull right there. Number 69. Really, really big guy by the way. Big strong guy. And again, the rookies are showing up in training camp. And that’s what you need, especially when you’re seeing a bunch of offensive linemen go down. We’re going to get more and more opportunities to see some of these younger players, to see some of the guys that we haven’t really had a chance to see for real against the better players on our team. against the ones. We’re going to see guys like a Johnny Cornelius get a chance to go out there. We’re going to see guys like a Hakee Deni and some of these other guys to get a chance to go out there and see what we have in that offensive line room. But as it pertains to their right tackle that they just drafted this season, Johnny so far training camp hasn’t heard much negative about him and has garnered himself a highlight or two, right? So, that’s another really good sign for him. Now, my favorite undrafted free agent from this undrafted free agent class and we kind of discussed this, Zion Childris. And and those of y’all that remember my under the free agent video, the exact scouting report I gave of Zion Childress, it’s exactly what he showcased so far in training camp. Violent downhill tackler, laying that hat on folks, and good in coverage. He can actually cover as well. He’s not a liability in coverage. That’s not his biggest strength. Going downhill and playing kind of that Donovan Wilson type of style is his biggest strength, but I think that he’s a better coverage safety than someone like a Donovan Wilson. You can see him making plays right here. As soon as the ball is there, I mean, Zion Children is already on top of it, right? So, that’s exactly what you’ll want. Minimum gains right there. And I think the young man is going to find himself a spot on this roster as an undrafted free agent. And that is going to be really, really dope to see. Again, you kind of see the play develop right here. As soon as Tober touches the ball, boom. Safety’s right there. Full wrap up. That play’s dead. Next time Joe Milton’s rolling out, see him passing to Ron Lenoy. Boom. Soon as he gets the ball, no room to really go anywhere. play is dead. That’s exactly what you want from your safety when he’s down in that box. He’s doing an excellent job of keeping the ball from not going any further than where it was caught right there. No, no yard after the catch opportunity. And that’s what you want from Zion Childris. And he’s also the guy that actually got a really acrobatic interception in the end zone as well. So, Zion Childris making some noise, undrafted free agent to keep an eye on the other guys out of Syracuse. I would look at those two guys as well. So, there about three undrafted free agents that I think realistically so far have made enough of an impact to have a serious consideration of being able to make this 53man roster. I’m looking at Zion Children as a guy that’s probably going to end up making the roster though. But overall, the Cowboys rookie draft class is 100% doing exactly what many wanted to see them do. And I’m excited to see if this translates into real game situations. I’m excited to see how these guys continue to develop throughout training camp, right? But either way, let me know down in the comments below who have been your camp standouts and how are you feeling about this rookie draft class right now. Right now, man, it’s looking like they hit hit. They look like they hit hit. All right, but either way, till next time. Don’t care. Calling me, texting me, paging me, asking me. Y’all use the check on me. Listen, listen, listen. I’m still in boys. Motion of abortion.

  1. Start Jay Toya brother is a brick wall even if he does nothing but take up two blocks the middle is essentially plugged and do I need to say anything about that two headed monster of an edge rush and agent 0 coming back soon at LB man… I tell you I am so optimistic about this season they still have to prove to me with a couple playoff wins but if they do that we in the Super Bowl because we winning the conference

  2. Good stuff, My issue witht he D is were SMALL, Eze, nice pass rusher no doubt, but Small, The Rookie LBer, Small, Osa…Small,,, Micha, Small…Our biggest weakness, still our run D…
