Lol
I still believe in Bam—he’s one of my top five favorite Heat players.
I just want Bam to improve on his handles and drive to the rim more.
I like that he’s developed his jumper, but relying on it too much isn’t always going to work. Jump shots won’t always go in. He still needs to take advantage of mismatches and get those higher-percentage shots at the rim. He can’t let smaller guards or slower bigs—like Trae Young, Darius Garland, rookie point guard Jared McCain, 4th-string center Moussa Diabate, or whoever—off the hook by settling for jumpers.
He’s not a traditional center, but as a big, he should look to model parts of his game after players like Siakam, Franz Wagner, Jaren Jackson Jr, KAT in terms of punishing mismatches and driving to the rim.
He needs to use his physical tools more, Stop settling all the time. He doesn’t even take advantage of mismatches half the time. The way he played in 2023 was perfect idk what happened
This year has been weird for the whole team. Mostly everyone regressed except for Herro.
I still think Bam can turn this thing around. I just hope Ware can be playable so he can play the 4.
Jason in the video is talking about Bam’s lack of offense is what is preventing Miami from going to the Finals. I disagree with that. Team was terrible as a whole.
This guy doesn’t know what he talking about he didn’t actually watch Bam play. If you look at Bam’s all star splits, his difficulties where before the all-star break and they magically went away after
– 16 pts per while shooting 47% from the field and 30% from 3, but after the all star break he avg 30 pts per while shooting 51% over all and 45% from 3 with and increase of attempts to 3.6 per game from 2.8.
– Bam’s offense actually got better last year but was derailed by the Butler Saga. Think about how far he has come to be able to make 45% of his 3 on 3.6 attempts per game!!!
– What also helped was Ware taking some of the defensive responsibility to allow Bam to play more assertively offensively.
I expect Bam shot attempts to go up to almost 20 per game next year from 15 this year and Bam to be in the MVP discussion while leading the Heat to one of the best records in the league.
