  2. I’ll be at the game today and it’s the first time I’ll see Webb pitch in person so at least I have that to look forward to. I have a 3-2 record so far so I hope to get to .500. Last time I went they beat the Padres and went on a nice stretch of games

  5. Looks like posey is ready to offload at least a couple assets. (Doval, Rogers). I honestly don’t know that giving up Ray is worth it or not. Really depends on the return, but we aren’t set up to have another decent pitcher next season outside of Roupp and Webb. He’s not rebuilding completely with who he’s brought in. But I really hope they are opportunistic as well as realistic about this season.

    Honestly, once he signals we are out, maybe they finally play better without the pressure. Which shows they aren’t good enough anyway, but at least we don’t have to keep watching whatever this is.

  6. This Giants team absolutely has no life or energy. Anyways even if they settle for a needed win today I would love to see them be buyers and sell on Flores/Yaz/Doval and possibly some prospects in the minor league system for a possible major league player that would address the team’s issues and a possibility of getting some valuable prospects in return

  7. We should sell a reliever as much as I love all our guys. The reliever market is terrible, we might be able to get a real haul.

    But please just no big rental purchases. If we buy anything it has to be looking towards 2026.

  10. Since 2022 by 7/30 we have played mostly .500 ball. Despite picking up Adamas, JHL, Devers, Chapman, we are no better this year in terms of record than the teams since 2022. In fact we had a better record in 2023 at this point without all of these acquisitions. Here is breakdown of where Giants were at July 30th of each of these years:

  27. Was never excited about Melvin. Why go from one guy 100% into analytics to and old geezer that’s the complete opposite? Couldn’t find someone in the middle? Not to mention, the dude had top tier talent in San Diego and they consistently under performed.

  28. I’m seen a few whispers about Sandy Alcantara. I’d be very okay with a buy and sell approach. He’s got 2 more years of team control, and given how we see it takes a year for a pitcher to really come back from TJ I think he could be awesome here in 2026. Sell of one of our prized relievers to net our the prospect loss.

  36. Cleveland apparently wants to move Shane Bieber too. He’s recovering from TJ, hasn’t pitched yet this year, and has a player option for next year.

    I would be so down for us to take on that contract if it helped lessen the prospect cost of Kwan. Bieber would do well in our pitchers’ cheating lab

For what feels like the 4th straight year, whilst scrolling the timeine on Twitter, there is an Ohtani home run highlight at the top by MLB, a Machado home run highlight by an MLB home run page at the bottom, and sandwiched right in between them is Alex Pavs’ tweet about the Giants being .500.

    This is what makes it feel oh so more shitty, whilst everyone in the league is popping off or having fun, we have to talk about how fucking shit we are. Giants baseball, nothing like it!!!!👍
