Texas Rangers vs Los Angeles Angels (07-30-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets
[Music] 967 968. We got Nathan Yavaldi and the Rangers at -18. Jos Soraniano and the Angels plus 108. This total of eight with some juice to the over at minus 115. Uh Corby, I don’t know what to do with the Angels quite frankly or the Rangers. Uh, I keep wanting to take the Rangers every such good pitching, but this offense, for whatever reason, with all the talent on there with the GarcAs and the Youngs and the Seagars and all this talent, they can’t seem to consistently score runs. So, I just don’t know what to do with either of these teams. They’re sort of on my scratch off list unless Deg Grom’s pitching. But, what do you think here? Rangers Angels. Yeah, I bet this yesterday hit the over and it’s over. So, I’m thinking again, I I I think inevitably there’s a lot of talent that’s going to be on the field. These two pitchers are are pretty solid. Evaldi of course is good. Um I’ve kind of talked I think Sorano’s due for some major regression, but from an offensive standpoint like I’m not sure that even if these were like like prop up two more tiers pitchers, you should be in the eights. Like like it feels like a flat eight is a little bit too much pull here for for a team that has all the the talent in the world. Like put this an example Garcia like I think we would all say a pretty good baseball player. Like obviously he’s bad had a bad year. I saw a stat last night. He has an and I’m probably going to get this wrong because I’m just remembering from watching last night, but he has a 067 batting average versus the breaking ball this year. Like he’s not that bad. Um so inevitably I just think I think all of these players are kind of fitting in that. Um Norm Cory Seager I believe sat last night. At least I didn’t see him play. Um actually I know he sat and so like he’s definitely going to be in tonight. I think this lineup will look fine. Uh they’re getting production now from a few pieces. Why Lingford starting to swing the bat a little better. They still have Jock Peterson. Like they have all these pieces just nobody has done anything. So inevitably I think there’s a lot of good uh pieces on the field to get a flat eight. Give me the over minus 115. I’m just catching up on some of our behind the scenes by a bull. Holy moly. Did you read that? That’s all I can’t beat. That’s craziness. Uh, that completely threw me off when I went back and read that. Uh, yeah, Kenny, the Rangers are sort of an enigma here. That’s crazy. 067 against the breaking ball. That’s absolutely terrible. Uh, he’s right. Soraniano Soraniano when he’s on, he can go out there and get you 10 strikeouts. Other other times he falls apart. I don’t know what to do with this game. What do you think here? Rangers Angels. Uh, I think one this match up just shows you like how statistically weird, for lack of better words, baseball is, right? So, you look here, these are two teams that still have like I can’t believe I’m saying this for the Angels, but like borderline playoff aspirations. The Angels are only four games out of the wild card. And I’ve I’ve clearly drastically outperformed expectations. So, Angels are four games out of the wild card. Rangers are one game out of the wild card. So threeame overall difference between these two teams despite there being a 135 run differential between these two teams. Like that feels statistically impossible that they are like 135 runs separates their production and yet three total games separates their win loss record. Like that’s that’s nuts. The Rangers are plus 69. A’s are minus 63. That’s the worst run differential for any team in baseball within I think five games of of 500. So crazy stuff there. Um with that said, I’ve got nothing to offer for this game. I was just telling you about some weird stats. Excuse me. By the way, I would like to just throw this little nugget out there. Everyone’s giving me about the Rays, how good the Rays are. They’re better than the Blue Jays. What’ I tell you? Just wait till they start playing these road games and we’ll find out what they really are. Now they’re at a slide. Three and seven in their last 10. three games out of the wild card behind the Texas Rangers who are only one game behind the wild card. So Texas is finding ways to get there a six plus 69 run differential. It just doesn’t feel like it to me. I mean they’ve scored less runs this year than the A’s. They’ve scored less, you know, so it’s not like they’re scoring a ton of runs here. But for purposes of the show, we’re going to lock in the over eight in this game and we’re going to take it at minus 115.
