  1. Tim Duncan’s unflashiness really hurts him huh. No fucking way he thinks Allen Iverson is better than Tim Duncan.

  2. People in this sub are fucking hilarious. Wade wears number 3 of course AI is included in his list.

  3. Y’all are taking this way too seriously. He’s not trying to disrespect Duncan or anything, he’s simply talking about the most impressive players he’s ever seen. They guys that blew him away when he saw them play

  4. And that’s the great thing about sport. We all have our favourite teams and players and that will shift our bias one way or another. Top 3, Top 7, why stop there give me the top 20

  5. “That he has ever seen play”

This is an eye test list. He isn’t breaking down stats and advanced metrics.

  6. The complaints are funny because he said it’s his list and he played against all of them except MJ.

One thing Duncan bros don’t understand is as far as impact sure Duncan was great but no forward or guard is trying to be like him. Everyone mentioned in this list influenced a generation of players both of similar and different types.

  7. If you don’t understand why Allen Iverson inspires basketball players that watched him as kids and why his contributions/career gets that nod from them, you don’t fucking understand basketball or the human experience of connectivity/inspiration.

Not everyone is thinking about objective history book rankings and obsess over having the right opinion.

  8. As a Spurs fan I see no problem with this list. This is clearly a very personal and emotional list, not an objective ranking. He is just telling how he felt.

    Jordan was his childhood hero.

    Iverson was his idol.

    Kobe was his rival.

Shaq and LeBron were his teammates.

Curry is his favorite player to watch post-retirement.

He and Garnett always have the greatest respect for each other despite the Celtics-Heat rivalry.

I bet he would even say Dirk, his finals rival, before Duncan too. Duncan had his peak before Wade was in the league, and when their teams rivaled in the finals, both of them were old and far from their best years.

  9. Notice players never name Duncan in these rankings. I don’t blame them. Dude has become incredibly overrated since he’s retired.

  10. AI – especially during their finals run – was the casual fan’s favorite. He was incredibly fun to watch.

  11. This sub gets so butt hurt anytime Tim Duncan isn’t mentioned in an all time great list.

These lists inherently have subjectivity to them. Who cares if someone thinks one player is better than another? It doesn’t make them any more wrong than it makes you right.

  12. How’re you gonna mad at somebody else’s opinion lol?? Not like he’s saying the Earth is flat

  13. This is actually a really good list. Sometimes, personal preference is best for these debates

  14. This sub treats Tim Duncan how everyone outside this sub treats Kobe and they don’t even see it lol

  15. Thats the worst list in history of lists. But I have hated Wade since 2006, so no change here.
