  1. Told #CBJ are hiring Barry Brennan as strength and conditioning coach, replacing Kevin Collins.

If that name sounds familiar, it should. Brennan worked in same capacity for CBJ from ’05-06 to ’09-10, then held the same job under Don Waddell in Atlanta the following season.

    Brennan has quite the career.

After Atlanta, he spent six seasons working for CSKA Moscow in the KHL under former #CBJ Sergei Fedorov.

He has since operated his own exercise science academy in Ottawa, training many NHL players and prospects, boxers, etc.

  2. Yes, some, if not most, injuries are not avoidable, but there were so many muscle injuries over the past 5+ years that I asked many times, “what is the conditioning coach doing wrong?”.

Hopefully, our guys can stay healthy.

  3. Oh good, maybe we won’t be able to field an entire team at the hospital.

The injury plague has been just as bad in the minors too, so it’s curious.
