Inside Derrick Henry’s Insane Dallas Hill Workout | Baltimore Ravens
Earlier this week, our first training camp episode of Ravens Wire dropped. And there were so many interesting storylines in that hour-long episode, but one of the highlights was definitely getting a closer look at Derek Henry’s insane offseason hill workout. I actually got to be in Dallas for that shoot, and let me tell you, that hour-long workout was no joke. First of all, Derek showed up to the first hill on the side of the highway, by the way, and yeah, he immediately requested a bigger hill. I’m telling you, this guy is not normal. That hill was massive, and he moved up it with ease. And then he added the chains, which weigh about 60 to 70 lbs. And man, impressive and unreal are the words that come to mind when describing that. Now, Todd Monkin was asked about Derek this week, and no surprise here, but the Ravens OC described the King like most of us do. He’s just different. He also shared a funny story of the first time he met Henry. What am I going to say that you guys haven’t already said? I mean, I just I I I was with the Jacksonville Jaguars when he was like a freshman in high school and he came over the facility and they said, “This guy’s a running back.” And I’m like, “What?” The guy’s like 14 years old, you know, and he looks like he’s 28 and uh a lot like when I first saw Adrien Peterson, you know, when you see somebody that’s just different and I was like that and you see him and then and then to actually get a chance to coach him. Um a man that fast, that big, that powerful, keeps himself in that kind of shape, so prideful in getting it right. But he’s he’s that’s it’s just I mean it’s cool as hell. I don’t know what to tell you. I mean, it’s uh we’re blessed. Um and he’s blessed to have us. Say it like it is. It’s pretty damn cool to be a Raven. Now, like I said, Derek’s workout was just part of an amazing Wired episode. We also had a crew in Nigeria with Adaf Ooway, Namdi Matab, and David Ajabo as Adaf held a football camp, and they all got to experience their Nigerian culture. We also spent time in Fort Worth with Tylen Wallace and got to see the work he put in in the offseason as well as his relationship with his twin brother Trac. So, if you haven’t already, make sure you check out that Wired episode on our app website or YouTube page. Last thing before I go, Sunday we have our training camp practice at Mnt Bank Stadium. Even though all those passes have been claimed, we will be doing a live stream of that entire practice. So, join us Sunday for training camp live. You can find that stream on our official YouTube page, app, or website. That’s it for me today. Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you all on Sunday afternoon.
Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken told a funny story about being blown away by Derrick Henry when he first met the then high schooler.

If we get Micah we have a top 3 defense

Derrick Henry knows with it. It needs to be tough. He knows what it means stiff arms, and stuff like that. Derrick Henry is tough.π¦ββ¬π€π
