Dan Patrick Reacts To Twins Fire Sale At Trade Deadline | 8/1/25

trade deadline. Boy, the artist formerly known as the Minnesota Twins. I would think program sales will probably be pretty high for the Twins fans because I think they traded nine players over the past couple of weeks. So, nine of 26 players on their major league roster were traded during the trade deadline period. Seven of them were traded yesterday. Now, if I’m a fan of the Twins, if I know and I can trust the front office that in three years from now, we might look back on this and say, “Hey, man, that was the turning point. Look at the players we got or the draft picks we got.” Um, I don’t know how many teams can sign up for the Miami Marlins blueprint because they won two World Series titles and it felt like every five years here they are and then they take the wrecking ball to the roster and then they’d build it back up again. You have to have extreme confidence in your front office to be able to do that. But the Minnesota Twins traded nine of 26 players on their major league roster.

  1. Julien, Miranda, larnach, Lee, Lewis, wallner, Morris, Cory Lewis, zebby, Festa, cartaya, Emmanuel Rodriguez, camargo, Raya, kiersey, dobnak, preilipp, adams, martin, sabato, prado haven't done anything that they were hoped to do. That's a lot of names that should have been apart of the future core and they are all flopping. It's uncanny

  2. The Twins are for sale. Current owners, probably with the blessing of the future owners, initiated this fire sale. Falvey was just following orders. Strip the team to the studs and the future owners can renovate the Twins to their liking.

  3. This was practically a salary dump. They really didn't get value in returnand things are bleak until the Pohalds, and even then, who knows what the future owner might be like, but at least that might cause some hope.
