Am I reading the bullpen availability infographic correctly and jojo is our only lefty reliever?
ICYMI Quinn Mathews is looking like the Quinn Mathews of last year tonight.6 IP 1 BB 3H 8 K. Fastball was almost hitting 93, which if I remember correctly was an improvement from his last start?
Glad to see Gorman finally going to get 3b action to see what we’ve got.
Love the improvement from Fernandez and Munoz the last month or so hope it continues
I call the rest of this season, “Pre spring training 2026”
Flip Herrera with Winn, and that is a really nice lineup.

There is no timetable for Nolan Arenado’s return from
the IL according to Oliver Marmol.
My thoughts: this tells me he’s probably done for the year and they just had to find someway to find everyday opportunities for Gorman that didn’t involve benching Arenado a few days a week.
Another good night for Nathan Church
Bill’s shills have assembled. They are here to downvote any criticism of the team, no matter how factual or warranted it is. Praise be!
Alright – time for post trade deadline, so we don’t have to speculate/worry/etc about that any more. I’m excited to see how the team performs now with some of the expectations a little bit reset – and we can give guys the runway that a lot of people were probably were hoping would start sooner. I think we got decent returns from the players at the deadline (not saying great returns – but considering we were moving relievers that would only give the next team 2 months of game…we did about as well as could be expected), and I hope that one or two of the guys we got can be solid contributors in the future.
I’m also wondering if Arenado’s health played any role in whether we could even entertain moving him at the deadline. I think it was a longshot anyway, with the NTC and with Arenado’s pretty poor offensive stats this year, but if we knew he was still nursing an injury, that might have made it basically impossible considering the other complications.
Anyway – go Cards!

Helsley is warming up in the Mets bullpen
Hot take, but the Cardinals are probably going to win a baseball game tonight.
Am I the only one that thinks Matz for Blaze is an amazing move?
Blinky McSquints not in the line up and it doesn’t even bother me…
Winn 5th
Gorman 6th
Walker 7th
As prophesied in 2023
Next year (or next time they play in San Diego) I have to make a trip down there, place looks incredible
I’m a simple boi. I love beer, boobs, and baseball (not necessarily in that order). I’m indulging in all three tonight. Life is good.
Hells Bells bah, they used the intro already of course.
I love watching a late game on a weekend night
Ugh. Another series with Mark Sweeney 🙁
These San Diego uniforms look like rejected Mega Man character designs

Helsley a debut for the Mets was crazy! Tie game in the 9th he came out and threw 3 fast balls for 3 strikes in his first out. Mets fans and chat went wild for him. He let 2 on base but got out of the inning.
