#DallasCowboys Fish Report LIVE: Micah Trade Talk; I’m a ‘Freezing Cold Take’ ‘ ‘Old Takes Exposed’?

I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. That’s Micah Parson’s big statement today at 1:16 p.m. uh using Twitter. Uh this comes in unison with Micah going to Stephven Jones, Cowboy COO, and telling him the same thing. I would like you to trade me, please. I’m tired of the abuse. I’m tired of the silliness. I’m tired of the PR junk. Uh, get me out of here. I’m Mike Fisher, your trusty and trusted reporter with with eggs at the ready because I’ve got egg on my face. Or do I? That is a beard scratcher. Twitter today X is on fire at Fish Sports in like unprecedented ways. By the time we get to midnight, there’ll be there will be 1 million people. There’s the six bombs on the wall for those of you who shike and bike. I think it’s up to 700. And I’m not I’m not particularly proud of it. I don’t get anything out of it. 700,000 people have looked at this tweet and the people that don’t know us have made fun of it, which is fine. Um that’s part of the deal. the people that do know us understand. We’re going to walk through tonight three items on the fish for dinner menu on a TGIF. Thank God it’s fish. Seriously, still thank God it’s me. Uh algorithms, hit the like button and um beat the algorithms on YouTube that tells Cowboys uh that tells YouTube the kind of cowboys programming that you want. Uh if you’ve been around for a while, you understand the the the egg on the forehead when I make a mistake. And it’s happened uh three times over the course. It’s happened three times in my life and I divorced two of them. Sorry, Marsha. I’m just kidding. Uh we have done the egg on my forehead thing on live television here over the course of time when I just got something wrong and I’m ready to do it again. Except most of you understand, but just in case because I Hey, there’s 75,000 members here. 75,000 fish heads in Cowboy Nation can’t be wrong, can they? Well, there might be more tonight. Followers and trolls and Eagles fans and haters and then just people going, “Who’s this idiot Mike Fischer who said that about Micah?” So, let’s go through the three three things tonight. The three fish for lunch, fish for dinner menus. First of all, Lyall Collins, they are signing him. Now, I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Uh he’s 32, hadn’t played football in a year. He certainly got friends in the building, including the quarterback Dak Prescott. He his workout was good. He’s still got to technically pass a physical and then that deal can go through, but the Cowboys are planning on signing Lyall Collins. Um there’s some discussion. I was getting texts guard tackle, you know, let let’s just let’s just get him in here and see if he can bend over right now, shall we? Curtis B. Hello, Mike Fischer. Uncle Fish, what the hell is going on? Number number three thing that’s going on is they’re in the process of signing Lyall Collins, MP. He can play both. He is capable over the course of his career. He’s athletic Lyall Collins. Uh he’s capable of playing guard, guard, tackle, tackle. There’s no question about that. Wildcat, when I hit the like button, people follow apparently. So, uh, there will be between, I’m gonna say 12,000 and 75,000 people who watch this video. So, please do hit the like button and subscribe to what we do here if you find what we do to be of value. Uh, Richard Leupold, Lyel was athletic. We’ll see. Nope. Can you franchise tag Micah after this? Listen, he’s under contract now. You don’t have to do anything with him now. You don’t have to do anything anything. That would be foolish, but you don’t have to. But we’ll get that get to that in a minute. Item two, there’s some controversy about Trayvon Diggs. And this time it’s not about why did Stephen say that about Trayvon Diggs? This time Trayvon was on the sideline in Oxnard doing his work, running and stretching and moving. And then I guess he did a somersault. But then at the end of the somersault, he laid on the green green grass of Oxnard. And it’s beautiful in Oxnard. The sun is yellow, the sea is blue, the sand is sandy colored, the beer is cold, the halter tops are white, and the grass is plush and green and it’s like 72 degrees. So he did his somersault, Diggs did and then he laid down and that started this firestorm because it was kind of awkward the whole thing. Well, um I believe it was CBS 11 has a footage of it. He just did a somersault and then he was a goofball and decided to lay down in the grass. Nothing. And he’s fine. Now, he’s not fine emotionally. He is part of the the Micah issue. One of the reasons, one of the many reasons that Micah is upset with management is his buddy Trayvon and this sniping that the Joneses keep doing. But now we know more. Central to Micah’s problems is the sniping at Micah. And now we get to that. JMC, uh, you make a great point. I saw somebody write, “No cowboy has ever asked for a trade before. No cowboy that I know of who’s a superstar has ever gone on Twitter and announced his trade demand.” But you’re absolutely right. dating all the way back to Troy Aman. People have harbored a desire in this building. Get me out of here. And then usually it works out. The lunatic $2 pitch in the super chat. When Jerry’s gone, we get Steven. Just wonderful. All right, let’s get to Micah. I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. and he goes through in his tweet some of the details which include I no longer want to put up with the PR baloney. I no longer want to put up with management telling me that I should be blamed because I got hurt when I was playing hard. I no longer all that. And it was it was pretty well put together. His points are sound. Dean Graham, $20 pitch in in the super chat. What? I’m used to this kind of thing happening with Jerry. I had hoped that Stephen would change it, but now this season, hearing Steven talk makes me think it’s going to be worse. Jerry is unpolished sometimes in his presentation, but oftentimes funny. Steven’s presentation is unp unpolished and does not play well to the audience. Hash drought. So that part of this job, whatever you think of Steven’s other work, that part of his job, getting Cowboy Nation to see his point and be on his side. And you know my relationship with the Jones family and I’m it’s a good one and I’m proud of it. 36 years I’ve been covering the Cowboys. But Stephen’s not whatever else you think about all the other Catboy and all the Stephen is not good at that part of the job about presenting his case to you. He’s terrible at that. He has never hit a home run in that department. In fact, he’s never hit a bunt single in that department. That’s a problem when you’re the future when you’re the COO, son of the owner, and the future general manager, owner, and president of the Dallas Cowboys. And that’s who he’s going to be. So, what happened yesterday? Micah goes on Twitter and kind of defends Diggs. That’s where it starts. And it gets stirred up to the point where Micah does the bad boys meme, you know, the last the last ride or whatever it was, whatever that meant. Did that mean that Trayvon Diggs isn’t long for Dallas? Cuz he’s not going anywhere unless the Cowboys want to cut him today. He’s not going anywhere till after next year when the Cowboys move him. Does that mean their teaming together is not long for Dallas? Again, that’s a year away. Did it mean that Micah wanted out? No. Nah. Nah. Right. Diana Rousini, who should get all kinds of credit here, she was way ahead of the game. The Athletic writes this morning after all the cryptic junk that the relationship between Micah and the Joneses is deteriorating and that he might could ask for a trade. We pointed out as a response to that that basically it’s a he’s thinking about thinking about threatening to threaten a trade. Okay, that was this morning at 10:00. Then the ball got moved and the the the tone of it all got more serious. And of course, it gets more serious on social media. I mean, that’s where some of the vibe is, but some of the vibe is also from the people involved. I’ll just say it that way. Michael Evans, they did the same with me with Zack, Zeke, CD, and Dak, and they all got paid. Sidebar for those people who are saying, “I’ve never seen anything like this.” All contr, as we say in France, the Cowboys do this every time. What do you mean you’ve almost every time? What do you mean you’ve never seen anything like this? Uh, Zack Martin a little bit different because Zack Martin like had a contract and said, you know, I’m I’m going to retire in a year, but give me more money. a little different. But Zeke, CD Lamb, and Dak Absolutely. Cowboys played hard ball for a while, did bad mouthing in the media, and then eventually signed their guy and made him the highest paid X, highest paid Y, highest paid Z every time. So, it’s still a sound prediction that that even though Micah is ripping the Cowboys for using the media against him, it’s still a sound prediction that Micah smartly here is using the media and using his access to you, the fan base. Micah is playing the game a little bit, too. Mic is saying, “Fine, get me out of here. I want to trade.” Is playing the game, too. It’s one of He doesn’t have very many tools, right? You can’t go home. First of all, you get fined if you actually leave. He’s not leaving camp either, I bet. That’s a 50,000 a day fine. There’s no reason for him to leave camp. Just sit there. Just sit there and continue to hold the tackling dummies and coach the kids and be everybody’s friend and do your best to have a smile on your face and hang out with dicks. So, the PR game continues to go on. But Micah’s point about how the Cowboys have focused more on the PR and the bad mouthing and the foolishness than just call my agent, which the Joneses, last time I checked, still haven’t done three months after Mike asked him to do it. Got to mention in here the handshake deal. There’s no such thing. There’s no such thing. This is a $200 million deal. Did Jerry think he had the parameters worked out? Yes. Did Micah think he had the parameters worked out? Yes. And then Micah takes it to the agent and the agent says, “No, slow down. We can make the agent the bad guy if we want to. I don’t particularly do that. If I’m going to go buy a house, a $300,000 house without my realer, and then my realtor lady call, oh, Ida, not old, she’s not old. Then Ida calls me and says, “What? You offered them $300,000? I can get you that house for $250.” Well, then I’m then I’m not offering $300,000 anymore. That’s why you have a lawyer, a doctor, and a real estate agent. And that’s why Micah has an agent. It is not it. You can have parameters agreed to. You cannot have an agreement. There’s no such thing. And Micah is a smart businessman, even though he’s 26. Jerry knows his way around business. He knows there’s no handshake deal. He knows better than that. And he’s kind of trying to pretend now or or the organization kind of leaking. Yeah, but we kind of thought we had a deal. No, you didn’t because there’s no such thing. Michael Aldridge, $10 pitching. Cowboys told the Mavs, “Hold my beer.” when it comes to general manager screw-ups. The Cowboys are a laughingstock right now for this in so many ways. That much is true. Uh sanities, I know it will never happen, but I wish they just get a PR person who talks to the press about these issues and let Stephen and Jerry do what they do. I’ve preached this for years. If you could just have a separation inside that building, by the way, this is the fishbowl. That’s the star. Have a separation of church and state in that building. You go do football. you go do marketing and we don’t have to do a daily press conference and we don’t have to have three radio shows a week. We don’t we don’t need it. I saw my friend Don Vanada of ESPN who’s brilliant said, “Yeah, but the Cowboys are making a hundred million dollars every summer.” Well, I’m going to I’m ready to call Don. I He’s fantastic. Where’d you get that number? $100 million in public relations. Where’d you get that number? I don’t believe that. And even if you get PR, even if you get free advertising on ESPN’s Get Up every morning and somehow that’s worth $100 million, which it’s not, what about the downside? What about about how much you cost yourself? One of my buddies said, “I I know what’s going on in the Cowboys pro shop. It’s not going well. I was in Knox. I looked at the stands. It’s not going well.” Luckily, this goes good. This goes well. You guys are here. Cowboyscountry.com. It goes well. Our new uh substack, it’s going well. There there’s a loyalty to what we do here and a loyalty to the Cowboys, of course. But Jerry making money with negative publicity, but losing fans and losing his locker room. So, Mike is sick of it. And he says, “So, does he really want out?” Color me skeptical. Could you really make a trade? You could. Are the Cowboys going to do that? Color me skeptical. Is Micah going to If Mike is really that pissed, is he going to stomp out of camp? Color me skeptical. 18. I wonder if Jerry feels that $24 million due Micah is enough. And that’s the band-aid. This is where I applaud Micah. I’ve been saying this all day. You’ve seen the video. You’ve read the stories that I’ve written about this. Quit footing around. Quit mambby paming around. Jerry, if you don’t want to do it, if you don’t want to pay him, don’t pay him. But say so. Quit pretending. Micah, you don’t want to be here. I said earlier today, good. Pull the band-aid off. Say it. I don’t want to be here. By God, he did. Terry Huff, Uncle Fish Premium, when I first heard this news, I waited all day to get Uncle Fish’s view on it. I appreciate that. Not everybody agrees, but I appreciate that 75,000 of us do. Gator Fish, Jerry doesn’t want to pay him. Then Jerry should say what Micah just said. Rip the band-aid off, Jerry. Say that he’s worth $24 million, but he’s not worth 41. Say, “We’re going to pay him 24 this year, and then we’re going to we’ll talk to him next year, and then maybe we’ll tag him and tag him.” Period. And then drop the microphone and walk away, Jerry. And don’t say, “Uh, no comment on that, Mr. M. No comment.” and then talk for five more minutes after you said no comment. Here’s the chronology of what happened that caused me to wonder, do I need egg on my face? And I’ll let you be the judge. Kurt S. Jerry loves the media attention. More than that though, Kurt, Jerry loves the attention for the Cowboys. And I think that’s what you mean. It’s not just about Jerry’s name being above the marquee. It’s about the Dallas Cowboys being a product. How many times have I said this over the course of 36 years and certainly six years here. Sometimes the Dallas Cowboys under Jerry Jones seem like a marketing company that plays football on the side. And it’s never been truer than this week. Kevin L makes a point. Netflix. That Netflix show is coming up soon. H, that’s a beard scratcher. Think that has anything to do with any of this? Yes. Meanwhile, Pro Shop’s not doing well. Cowboy Cheerleader TV show just did just fine. The lunatic $2 pitch in culture begins at the top. Which is why no matter what a coach does and Shotti’s doing what he does, you you’re never going to really change the essence of the Cowboys until Jerry changes the essence of the Cowboys ever. The centerpiece of what this team franchise is isn’t Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons and CD Lamb. The centerpiece of what this team is is the Tostitos front yard and the Ford center and the Justin Boots over here and the chicken fingers over there. That’s the essence of this franchise. I’ve told you this for years. Greg Barry, what player on Micah’s level has Jerry traded? Never. Which is why it’s a safe prediction to say it’s never going to happen again. That they’ve I mean, I thought about this a little bit this afternoon. Correct me if I’m wrong. Never. The Cowboys have Jerry Jones’s Cowboys have never traded a great player away. Let’s get to the chronology. At 12:55, I’m exchanging texts with a source. I’ll just read it to you or I’ll read you a uh cleaned up version. I’m asking the source about Diana’s report and the source basically indicates to me two things. One, this is this is at 12:55. Nothing against Diana’s report because Diana wrote he’s thinking about thinking about at 12:55 p.m. Central. Micah had not gone to the Cowboys with a trade request. Jason Price, let’s get to your pitch in in the super chat. JP JP Jason Price, one of the many who’s hanging out with us at um Jason, you might have to repeat it. I can’t find it. I’m sorry, Jason. Repeat it again and uh everybody yell at me. Hey, sugar, make sure I get Jason Price’s, will you? Jason, I owe you an apology. I owe you an apology and 20 bucks if I can’t find you. But holler at me again and we’ll try to get you. And also after the show, I can uh fix you, too. Nick Walter, $5 pitching fish. Call Jerry and Steven and ask them to quit being dumb asses. Yeah, I know. There’s Jason. Where are you? Oh god, I’m gonna miss you again. There we go. Oh no, that’s just skipped. Jason, yell at me again. Got everybody get out of the Jason’s way. He’s got something to say. 12:55 source close to the situation says he has not asked for a trade. 105. I get home and I tweet. I’m told he hasn’t asked for a trade. Fact. And then I said instinct or whatever I said fact he hasn’t asked for a trade instinct. When he is ready to ask for a trade he will announce it loudly. Okay that was my tweet. That seems pretty sound to me. Caleb Dempsey $5 pitch in the super chat. Ench chance Mike is a Miles Garrett trade threat. Straight dope. No bullsh. There’s an extremely high chance of that that that Micah knows very well that that this is a technique that Micah’s agent knows very well that this is a technique. RH easy gives the Cowboys an option to Micah. Not really. Good try, RH, who by the way supports us, uh, one of the many who supports us at our Substack. Not really. Not yet. Not even close. Charles L. $5 pitch in. The longer they wait, they make the money in PR and they keep Micah’s future money in the bank. True. But again, at what cost, Charles? That might be a very good way to run your investments. If you’re invested in bean sprouts and uh storage units, that’s a great way to run your bean sprouts and your storage units. Terrible way to run your people. Bean sprouts and storage units, you see, aren’t people. And you’re not wrong. Stephen and Jerry are managing Micah Parsons like he’s a bean sprout and a storage unit. And that’s the problem. AMD points out that hey, maybe maybe Donovan Easy is the next. How do you know? You know, right? But Michael Parsons is a generational guy. So to say, “Hey, that guy we got in the second round this year, ah, he’s probably a generational guy, too.” That That’s a little too loosey goosey for me. 12 55 p.m. My source says he hadn’t asked for a trade. 10:05 p.m. I tweet. He hasn’t asked for a trade, but if he does, he will announce it. 11:16 he announces it. 21 minutes after I said he hasn’t asked for a trade, but if he ever does, he’ll announce it. It won’t be whispery. Won’t be through sources. Won’t be at the Athletic. Won’t be at Cowboyscountry.com. Won’t be Dallas Morning News. He’ll do it here. And then he did and now I’m getting crushed for it. Uh I’m I’m freezing cold takes and I’m old takes exposed and I’ll let you judge where I’m sitting. I’m a little biased towards myself. Where I’m sitting I like got it exactly right. He had not at 12:55 asked for a trade and I said at 105 if he does he’ll announce it. And then at 116 he did. But I’m going to get retweeted a million times for being a dumbass. So you know what? Using Jerry’s logic, getting retweeted a million times for being a dumbass, that’s going to make me hund00 million. Fish out.

  1. How many ppl here would like to see the Jones's sell this franchise? It's a roughly $17B franchise. The only way they sell is if that that # drops significantly. So, stop buying merchandise, stop buying season tickets and going to games. I quit spending money on the Dallas Cowboys over 12-15 years ago! Last year I watched maybe 4 games on streaming TV…by choice, not because I was too busy. I decided if they didn't value their team, or their coaches to spend any $ to improve their team in the off-season, I wouldn't spend my time watching their games…and I didn't! This year I would like to watch some games since they made a $ effort to improve the team, but these bs comments from mgmt and the consistent refusal to resign big players in a timely and appreciative manner just ruins the game for me. Absolutely sick of the Jones's and the way they choose to manage their team. I might as well be a Bengals or Browns fan! No offense to their fans.

  2. I may be in the minority but I’d move on from Micah to a team like the raiders for two 1sts+. Who knows whose fault but our biggest strength might be pass rushing DEs. Youth and talent.

  3. I became a die hard fan in 1960 when they were awarded a franchise battling with my ny fan dad every game. I was there for the ups and downs every one and all the ridicule from dad. But after so many years of jerry jones ruining all of the great rewards and history I let go about 15 yrs ago. I saw that money and notoriety was way more important than wining. I still watch and hope but I don't cry on sunday mondays after they choke anymore. I absolutely honor the great Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson and in between when for several years they couldn't even recognize talent until parcells came in and showed them. I saw lots of careers of some great players wasted from a gm that couldn't get enough talent around them. They sure made lots of money though. I just got tied of it. Every time the show gets amped up I tune it out. Yeah maybe they sign or tag Michah or even trade him . But you know what sometimes players really do get tired of bullshit. Bottom line you pissed off many players trying to focus on team and wining. You as you always do big top put a wrench in it for yr 31. Have fun with that counting your money on your yacht.

  4. Let jerry and stephen get the rug pulled from under him!! Show them they dont know what there doing or have been doing for yearssssssssssss, Micha parsons just go!! Go contend for a superbowl something you will not get in dallas!!

  5. Parsons isn’t coming back. Not a chance. The circus about asking for more money has been going on for years. He’s arrogant and a C lister DE. Guys like him are dispensable. Trading him is the way to go. He made it clear he no longer wants to play for a team that hasn’t won a playoff or SB for decades. The team is already going to no doubt have a losing season once again not just based off the schedule, but the past and present trending pattern in the analytics. No need for the cowboys’ fan base nor owners to fret over this matter or the team in general. They’re America’s losing team. 🎤

  6. Shouldn't the UNION get involved in this mess? Jerry has been pressuring players to negotiate without their Agents for years. Im thinking he has finally crossed the line to far this time.

  7. its not crazy for one person to think this is a good Idea (micahs contract) but for the whole management department to think this is a good idea is insane. And the whole time pickens is watching wondering if he even wants to go through this. But then again winning fixes everything.

  8. Say you pay the player, but because of negotiations the player feels some type of way. That's why you have grant his request because you'll never get the effort from the player again.

  9. AS A COWBOYS FAN FOR 50 PLUS YEARS WHO CARES NO MATTER HOW MUCH TALENT YOU PUT AROUND DAK. DAK WILL CHOKE IN THE PLAYOFFS. THE COWBOYS WANT EVER WIN A SUPERBOWL AS LONG AS DAK THE QUACK IS THE QB

  10. Has Micah showed up in a playoff game yet, took two weeks of training camp to show his leadership skills, he is still under contract for one final year, Guess he’s making more than enough money on his podcast!
