Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 1, 2025 MLB Season

The O2 from Gossman and a fast ball right there for strike three called. India never took the bat off his shoulder. line drive to left field and a sliding catch made by Joey Lopero and he got him 96 of Denise on the inside corner. There is the change up and it’s popped up back of the plate and Salvador Perez has room to make the catch. One down were outstanding for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. And this one is hit to left field and it is not coming back. A screaming line drive of a home run for and now Bette hits one hard to left center field and it’s going to be on be beyond the reach of Adam Frasier. And Bette is into second base with a double. Doubles are cool. Like homers are great of course singles are fun. Addison Barger with a fly ball to right center and that’ll hang up long enough to be caught by Kyle Isel. A couple of weeks he had to ramp up again, but they wanted to be very, very sure and careful that he was a full go when he came back. A broken bat bouncer up the middle and Mikel Garcia, who’s got good speed, is going to reach on an infield hit to begin the top of the second. They may platoon at times. One a left-handed better batter, one a right-handed batter. The throw down and safe at second. Looked like kind of a delayed steal there by Yrems by and he hits one deep to right field. And in his first at back as a Royal, the one two from Gossman and a fast ball hit in the air to left. Low Pito still going back, but he’s got room on the warning track. And that’ll retire the side, but the home run by Ystrrenky has put the Royals on top. How will this guy fit in? I don’t think he’s missed a pitch. That’s a fair ball, says first base umpire Mark Wgner. And that’ll be a base hit for Kyle Isel. India lifts a fly ball to right center field. Can anybody get there? Dalton Baro tried but unable to make the catch and it’s going to be a double for India that’ll push Isbel around to third and he hits one hard to deep left field and it’s into the second deck. A three-run home run for Whit. Personally can’t see it being the six-man rotation only because I know starters don’t like that. They’re creatures of habit. Dton Garo runs this one down. Mikel Garcia is retired. Two down. Swinging a miss with a fast ball. Fourth strike out of the night for Gossman. But Bobby Whit Jr. with a three-run homer for the Royals. [Applause] Lucas pops one up shallow left. Frasier coming on. He’ll make a running catch. Two down. I mean, when the Minnesota Twins have a fire sale, the Minnesota fire, they traded 10 guys. Fair ball to Barger and Guerrero got the tag down on him. Good play by Vlatty. Two down. Looked like he went around and he did. That’s strikeout number five tonight for Gauzeman. And that is down and left. A base hit for Bett. And he is two for two. Not even arbitration eligible. Here’s a ground ball deep in the hole at short. Whit with a long throw to first and it’s in time to get France and end the inning. Prospects way more than anybody else did, but they are all out. Go for it mode. Another fly ball to right for Lucas. And a handful of games really is not a lot. need if you have a few teams in front of you. This is lined to center and caught by Baro and it’s a three up three down. Top of the fifth. Let’s get an update now with Jamie Campbell. And he’s pounded the left. He’s in a lot with this fast ball cutter combination and it sets up that devastating change up away. One of the best change ups in the game. End of five here with the Rogers Center. 5-1 Royals. sends this one to left field and that will get down for a base hit. Squirts kind of out of the glove of Lerido as he tried to get it on a hop towards the foul line and Pasquantino will take advantage and get to second. [Music] Golfed way up in the air to shallow right center and it’ll be Val to make the catch. Two down. That ball was at his ankles and he golfed it a mile up in the air. and he can’t wait to debut, so why not do it in a lower leverage spot if possible? Well, Fido goes outside the zone. Jesus Dominguez a couple of nice outings in Baltimore. Swing and a miss. Look at that knuckle curve and the drop on that. And that is a very fine way for Louis Varon to begin his Blue Jay career. Damage on change ups, but this is a different setup. There it is. Shows you how strong Barger is. He had to reach for that ball and hit it about 380 ft, but Isbel the catch. Two down. He’s getting ready to come back out for the bottom of the eighth. Shot back to the mound. Nance has it and will make the play to Guerrero. One down. Vinnie Pasquentino, the batter. There goes Whit. They’re not waiting around. The throw is high and sails over the head of a shed into center field. Vo’s throw to third is not in time. [Applause] bounced and a diving stop by Guerrero. Dives to the bag in time to any quadrant of the strike zone. Look at that change up. I mean, that’s like a video game kind of pitch right there. [Applause] Grounded to short and safe at first is Clement as the throw from Bobby Wit Jr. pulled Vinnie Pasquantino off the base. Using the sweeper as truly a secondary pitch. This one a hook down the left field line and it’s gone. The first sweeper that Perez sees in the at bat. Winning team. He’s accomplished a lot of things. Into the alley goes Lucas to make the play. Loftton retired. Lines it into center. That’s a base hit. And Max coming off a good one in Detroit against his old team. 11 strikeouts. Fly ball to right. This is deep and it is gone. Adam Frasier takes Mason Flu Hardy out. It’s 8 to one. [Applause] It looked like a cutter from Mason Flu Hardy. And these Royals hitters have been on him. And grounded up the middle. A base hit for Kyle Isbel. [Music] popped up and back goes Clement. He’ll make the catch. Two down. The 3-2 again and he missed. Ball four. They want to get back there again. That’s outside. Ball four. And that’ll load the bases. And out quickly here. Line to left. A base hit. One run is home and that’s it as Lopeito gets it back in quickly. So Whit will be held at third. Check swing bouncer to first. Guerrero is going to make the play unassisted and it’s 91 Royals going to the bottom of the ninth. [Applause] Joey Loperito swings at the first pitch and lines it into left center. and is into second with a leadoff double and the fly ball to right center shallow. They converge and almost run into each other. That’s Frasier who’s moved to right field making the catch. One down. Bouncer to short and Bette is retired for the second out. 3-2 again. Hit hard down the right field line and that ball is gone. Boy, it got out of here in a heartbeat. Swinging a miss and that’s the ball game. The Royals come in here, get a great outing from Michael Waka and hit four home runs.

  1. Alejandro Kirk of the Toronto Blue Jays was recently placed on the seven-day disabled list. Is he likely to return to the major leagues soon? Could his earliest return be after August 3rd?

  2. Blue Jays doing what they always do in these situations. Show a ton of promise, get the fan base excited, and then completely shut down at the end of the season. Maybe they make a WildCard spot, but with this momentum going into the PlayOffs they will be out immediately. Being a Blue Jays fan is akin to being Bi-Polar

  3. Great to see the Jays lose! Any team who has a first baseman who runs the bases like a three year old will NEVER win a World Series. The biggest mistake the Blue Jays made was to not trade Guerrero Jr. He is a cancer for the team and a hotdog. The Jays ended up getting some bum pitchers who will not help the team. The Jays will fall apart in this second half of the season. They will not make the playoffs.
