  9. we need someone to straight up ask tito why espinal is still here and benson keeps getting sent to aaa. he’s proven how he deserves to be here every single game he’s played in in BOTH defense and offense.

    lux should be our go to for infield if someone needs to sit for a game. idc if he can’t hit lefties, espinal can hardly hit anyone.

  11. espinal can’t hit a ball 20 feet from the warning track. he has some solid uses but i truly can’t wait until he’s off this team. solely because tito uses him as if he’s more useful than he is.

  14. The thing with Benson is that in the eighth or ninth, there’s always a chance something special happens. Where Espinal just grounds out. Is this just in my head? Maybe. But vibes matter and Espinal has none.

  16. I think everyone is forgetting that Espinal was an all star back in 2022. Maybe that’s why Tito has a hard-on for him relative to Beamin’. Anyway I hate this move. It’d be one thing if we were sitting at like 85% playoff odds and wanted to preserve depth as much as possible, but we aren’t. Every game is life-or-death…field the best fucking active roster possible and let’s make our push.

  17. Who’s the backup CF now? Fraley? Marte? McLain? Not really any good options.

  19. This is kind of the move you have to make given the roster construction, but they really should have traded one of Lux/Fraley/Benson. Benson deserves to be in the majors but you can’t find playing time for all of them especially with Marte moving to the outfield.
