White Sox vs. Angels Game Highlights (8/3/25) | MLB Highlights
The Angels take the field on this spectacular Sunday afternoon here at the big A and there’s Kowitz. Yeah, I look for this to be aggressive in using his two and four fastball. My go to is for him to have a game swings and misses strike three. That’s a good combination that a movement to it after a change up here. So red hot that slashes this one to right field. That is now a seven game hit streak going for Sousa. Here’s Luis Robert Jr two on one out first inning Sox trying to grab him an early lead. Robert Jr. That one goes off the mound into center field Sousa. He will be waved in and the Sox jumping on Kahan in the first inning taking a 1 to 0 lead. The best trades are the ones you don’t make. There were a lot of teams kicking the tires on Mr robert Jr, but he’s starting to show signs of life. Olson Montgomery trying to keep things going. Put the pressure on the halos here to start this ballgame intending at second robert at 1st 1 to 0 Sox opening inning, the pitch and swing and a fly ball out in the deep. Right. And that is, it’s off the wall. No, it’s a home run. It’s a home run for Montgomery. That ball landed on the warning track but it got over the yellow line. That’s an 8 ft high wall. Three run blast. And it’s four nothing. Here’s the next pitch and that’s lined into left field and caught by Taylor holding his ground. There came right to him. It was hit sharply. The inning is over on the mound for the White Sox sean Burke. This will be his 22nd game. 18 starts 105 and two thirds innings pitched at, er, a 4.17. He pops it up shallow center. Robert will take it for out. Number one. Here’s the future first ballot Hall of Famer, mike Trout. Three time MVP. 11 time. All star swings and misses for strike three. That’s a shutdown first for Burke. It’s four White Sox after an inning base hit right field. Baldwin continues to hit well at the plate that is 100 and six MPH off the bat. Haven’t seen chase my drop in this series. Chops it to turn it over. Here’s the pitch that’s grounded on the left side, step there by Netto his throw right on the money and a quick inning right there. Minimal number of pitches in the inning. Only six that will bring up for four in the series is hit hard and able to reach base. First time for the Angels should be a runner on with two outs for travis D the pitch swing and a miss strike three. Guess what? A high fastball. Here we go. He’s listening, Sean Burke with a four nothing lead through two that will bring up the birthday boy, robert turned 28 today and he socks a base hit into center played on a bounce by Teodosio. Sosa stops at second. Roberts two for two. Montgomery owns a three run homer in this game and he’ll bat with two aboard again. Baseball and RB I the, it’s this one into the gap and left center is going to drive in another. He will score 50 Sox on top fourth run driven in today by Coula Montgomery. How about two at bats? Four runs batted in and the hit train continues for the White Sox 1st and 3rd for edgar Carro bounced out his first time. He bounces this one as well as Moore grabs it. Flips with the, that’s about as good as you can play by inning ending double play. The white Sox offensively hit the ball well, so you need that spark right now from Moore, a nice play to end the top of the third. There’s ball four Moore talked about it on the open. He’s been on a nice three game heater, throwing the ball really well. Looks really sharp so far heading here in the third inning swinging him in strike three third punch out for Sean Burke. Nasty slider. 87 miles an hour, two outs bring up a nice hit the other way for Christian Moore thought about second but goes back to first doesn’t want to risk it down five with two outs. That’s what you want to do. You want to put pressure on an outfielder to make him make the play and get it in quickly. Here’s the big bat, Mike Trout runners on at the corners with two out in the third inning. That was kind of the on to try to get him on high fastball swing and a miss on a high heater, you are saying, and Burke has struck him out twice this time with two on 456 in the Angels lineup to start the bottom of the fourth inning. White sox a 50 lead trying to complete the three game sweep over the Angels turns kicks and delivers swing and a miss. He struck him out. No cut down on the swing right there with two strikes, one, two pitch swing and a miss strike three. Well, you were on it that fastball has been very effective. Six strikeouts for Burke, three straight strikeouts for Burke and there’s a swing and a chop to the second baseman gloved by josh Rojas short toss to Sousa better now christian Moore, he drew a walk his first time up Moore drives one in the air out of the left center robert moving he slide, made the catch backhanded pick somehow didn’t hit the grass. Well, that is an amazing backhand. Grab what a play by Luis Robert coverage. We say about how good of an all around player. He is 22, strike three painted an outside corner, fastball. Seven strikeouts for kyle Bats. Here he is zero for two today. Cars at first with one out bouncing ball, netto fields with the back hand gets it to second a little late to get over. The is able to reach first on a fielder’s choice if they were able to turn that one that would have been unreal was kind of the coverage man at second base got pulled out of there to go field the ball and took Moore a while to get over 22 coming and he hooks a line drive base hit to right long run over by Adele to the corner. Justin is going to stop kyle Teal, a double here for Brooks Baldwin and the Sox threatening with two outs in the sixth inning. So Kowitz needs an out here to wrap up this inning and the pitch that’s a ball that is hit on the first base side plenty of time to get Rojas. The inning is over leading off here in the sixth to try to turn this thing around with a good swing. Get the offense going in the right direction here to see if this one carries Roberts back at the wall and it’s gone into the California spectacular. Zack Netto gets the Angels on the board like we were talking about. He got a pitch that he could do the damage. He got the job done in the sixth inning, especially Burke is now 11 runs in nine innings of work. A line drive base hit to left that goes all the way to the wall will get to third base and be held. Mike Trout has a double here come the Angels in the sixth against sean. The Angels are trying to get back in this ball game. The next batter will be Taylor Ward to left for a base hit scores. Trout goes to third base. Taylor Ward drives in a run. Now, Angels down three of the time run come to the manager is out. Burke will hand him the ball, Mike his job right now. A little bit of damage control ball, one strike, two balls on the ball, get away. So there’s the wild pitch to score. The run. Trout comes in and it’s 53. You got yourself a ball game right now will advance to third with two down that will bring up travis Darna, the catcher, the pitch swinging a hard ground ball picked up by Baldwin at third. He’s got lots of time and he lobs to Sousa and that’s that the Angels threatening in the seventh after scoring three in the sixth on the corners with nobody out a couple of CN I ground balls 16th homer of the year Pernet in his last at bat, he’s the go ahead run at the plate. Now, left center field that gets down its head. It goes to the wall Moore scores the time game tied two run double 1st and 3rd 1 out. 55 ties. Seventh inning Bassal to Taylor Ward got him swinging out. Number two. That’s a big one that will bring up joe Adele Trout runs, check swing. He went inning over Adle out on strikes. Carroll was going to fake the second and check on third. But that is all. Here’s Kenley Jansen trying to keep it tied has been so so good this season for the leading runs in scoring position. There’s hope that he can score on just a base hit. So one of the hottest hitters, the White Sox have 12 pitch and this is lifted in the air not very deep at all. Left center field. Neto is going back coming in his ward, the two kind of trip over each other but Neto holds on to the baseball and that is how the inning will end bats with one out. Nobody on and Shanawa lines one to right. He has a base hit. Totman goes to get it. Shana’s thinking about two on his way. Here comes the throw. He has a double boy. He’s so good, missed a contact another double, his 21st double. The drought’s going to get the free pass and the batter will be Taylor Ward who’s had an RB I single and four times up. He’s had a quiet series though and there’s a drop that’s been 10 and there’s go and say good night to the White Sox drives out of three and the cut back is complete. What about your career high? 26th bomb? A walk to Taylor for War boy goes yard his third career walk off, home run his first since June of 2022. It’s the splash from Logan Ope to, but the angels on his back today.

Congratulations Angels. You NARROWLY avoided a sweep against the worst team in the AL. Nothing to get excited about. This series should've been a 3-0 sweep, instead the Angels lost the series 1-2 and are STILL 5.5 games back.
Maybe next season, when the Angels are still struggling to maintain a .500 record, Minasian will actually DO SOMETHING at the trade deadline to improve the team.
Instead, he believed the Angels simply needed to sing kumbaya and hold hands and hope that good locker room vibes and the power of friendship will somehow propel them into a playoff spot.
It won't.
I was there today at this game..that was so fun!

As a lifelong Angels fan still have love for them but as a kid i had it good seen them win the world series and always winning the al west now as an adult they have only made the playoffs once but i still root for them no matter what
This team is so fun. Iโm glad they came back and won the game; good for them. Iโm glad they didnโt sell off any of their young players at the trade deadline. This team is exciting and needs to stay together.
Sux to be a angels fan
