New York Yankees HUMILIATED In Miami! Marlins SWEEP Bronx Bummers in Awful Series
Break it down. I feel like it’s just becoming a regular thing. I really do. What’s going on everybody? It is your boy Bad Dog here with another great edition of Yankees Postgame. As always, I appreciate you tuning in. Do me a favor, hit the thumbs up. It helps a lot. Subscribe. Actually, thank you guys. We’ve I picked up a lot of subscribers the last three days. Really appreciate that very much. I really do. Um I’m glad you guys enjoy the video. Before I even got in here, I saw like four or five Red Sox fans before I went live and they’re like, “I’m a Red Sox fan, but I I just love Bad Dogs.” But I appreciate that. Listen, I hate the Red Sox. I hate the Eagles. I hate the Cowboys, but I swear it’s it’s funny how some of your like your biggest rivals are your biggest fans. So, I always appreciate that. It’s all love um at the end of the day. and the Yankees uh just a a just a disgraceful performance here in Miami. Um however, I want to tell you a cool story because I I’m sorry. This is the coole one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me. If you follow me on Twitter, you know what I’m going to tell you. If you don’t follow me on Twitter, follow me on Twitter. I’m literally like 35 followers from 10,000. Real close. It’s not like you get a gold, not like you get a silver play button or anything. We’re getting 10,000 followers on Twitter. It’s just a nice round number. Last night, it’s late. It’s 12:30. I’m hanging out with my kid. Uh I’m just, you know, sitting on the couch petting a dog and I look at my, you know, I’m just going through my social media stuff and I I see I have a a DM on Instagram and I open it up and it says I’ll tell you what it says. I’ll tell you what it says exactly because I I don’t really remember. This is what it says. It says, “Been enjoying your YouTube post games. Keep up the good work, my man. Spot on.” Now, the name of this account is A-Rod. So, I’m like, “Yeah, okay.” I’m like, “I’m going to click on this account and it’s going to be one of those fan pages. It’s going to be, you know, one of those guys that just is an Alex Rodriguez fan and he has Alex Rodriguez pictures. I’m going to click on it and it’s going to say he’s got 420 followers and that’s going to be whatever. No, it was really Alex Rodriguez. It was really Alex Rodriguez. Now, I am rarely ever aruck ever. I fang girlled for like a half an hour. I’m not going to lie. I mean, that guy’s my was my favorite player his whole like his whole career. He was my favorite player. I literally I’m just sitting there looking at the my phone going, “No way. No way. No way.” That’s comes and my kids’s like, “What? What’s with that? What what he doesn’t watch baseball yet?” And I’m like, you know, he doesn’t know who Alex Rodriguez is. I had to teach him. But he he’s like, “What?” I’m like, “Alex Rodriguez just told me he watched my vid.” Like he watched my video, my post games. And he’s like, “Who’s that?” And I told him and I I just it was in disbelief because it’s Alex Rodriguez, man. I don’t don’t know what else to say. Um, and there’s a lot of bad things about social media, but I think one of the coolest things about social media is that is like you’re you have an opportunity to interact uh with, you know, some actors or your, you know, some great athletes or whatever. Like it’s it’s what you can actually interact with. As you guys know, I had Carl Banks on our show, and I grew up watch Carl Banks of the Giants. He’s one of my all-time favorite Giants. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had on YouTube. I just thought that was really awesome that he reached out, not just that he watched, but he took the time to reach out and say, “Hey, man. I I like what you do.” And we talked for a little bit. It wasn’t like a long drawn out conversation. And that gets me to into the video. You know, A-Rod and Jeter mentioned a lot of what’s going on with the Yankees last night in their post game on Fox and Alex Rodriguez said a couple things that were 100% true. He said if he did what Jazz Chisel did, he would have been benched without question. He probably would have been pulled out of the game. Things are different now. And he all another thing point he made that I thought was great was that because I mentioned on Twitter today the Yankees have a lot of talent but they’re not really a they’re not really a good team and and I think Alex Rodriguez had that nailed perfectly because they do have like individual talent but as a team it doesn’t gel at all like there’s bad chem I don’t know what it is but they don’t really work as a team. Baseball is more one-on-one in any of the other sports. You you really are just it’s mono mono. It’s the batter in the batter’s box against the pitcher. Obviously, he’s hitting it into a defense, but really nobody can help you when you’re at the plate. When that fly ball’s coming to you, nobody can really help you catch it. It’s the most one-on-one sport that I watch anyway. There may be other ones, but I mean, you look at soccer, hockey, you’re football, uh, basketball, you’re really depending on your teammates for you to do your job. In baseball, it’s more individual. But it is funny how you look at the way the Yankees play and they don’t really play as a unit. I watched a team today in the Miami Marlins who are redot right now do every single thing that the Yankee the championship Yankee teams used to do. They worked the count. They ran the bases well. They hit line drives all over the place. And guess what? They actually hit a few home runs, too. There’s more to baseball than home runs. Home runs are sexy. Chig stick the long ball. Everybody wants to see the long ball. I like it. I like when John Carlos Stanton hits the piss out of a ball. He hits it so hard there literally is a stream of piss with the ball. You know, I love seeing a guy hit the ball 120 miles an hour. I’m amazed at that. I love seeing that ball carry 470 ft. That’s awesome, but I’d rather see them win games. I’d rather see a complete team effort. Fundamentals. The game has changed. There’s no doubt about it. The analytics are everywhere. It’s all about launch angle and exit VO and and and batted balls in play and yada yada yada yada. Just show me the runs, baby. Show me the hits because at the end of the day, if you’re going to win a championship, these fundamentals, good pitching will beat good hitting all the time. Fielding the ball, not making base throwing mistakes, not giving away outs on the base pads, and not giving your opponent extra outs. This is how you win baseball games. The Miami Marlins put on a clinic this weekend. If you had never watched baseball in your life, if this was the first three games you watched, you would think the Marlins were the team with the $300 million payroll and the Yankees were the one with the 30 mill whatever the Marlins have. I don’t know their exact payroll, but it’s probably 30 to 40 million. It cannot be a lot of money. They took the extra base. They stole bases. They hit the opposite field. They hit line drives. They walked. They hit home runs. They made the plays they had to make. They totally outclassed the Yankees in every possible situation in that series. You come out of the trade deadline, you add all these arms to your bullpen. The bullpen sucked again today. I mean, it wasn’t the new guys, but they sucked again today. You didn’t expect a lot from Luis Heel. He’s coming off an injury. It’s his first start. you didn’t really know what you were going to get from him and I think the Marlins knew he was probably on a pitch count and he didn’t have as great command obviously and you just have to work count get into the Yankee bullpen and you know you got a chance to put up a ton of runs because the Yankee bullpen is no good and I’ve seen people say well they’re missing Aaron Judge and it’s true I mean Aaron Judge is our best player there’s no doubt about it he’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen he’s unbelievable okay but if that guy leaving the lineup drops you that far. The lineup’s not good. The the construction of the roster is not good. And AR mentioned that too. It’s just it’s not a well- constructed roster. And Gina talked about accountability, which there is no accountability. And you know how we know there’s no accountability, guys? Jazz Chisum was in the lineup today. Jazz Chisel made no apologies. I I can’t I’m sorry, man. I can’t stand people that don’t take accountability. We’re human. We [ __ ] up. We make mistakes. How much you own it? Because if you don’t own your mistakes, if you don’t take accountability for your actions, you’ll never correct it. I didn’t do anything wrong. Keep doing it. It ain’t my fault. I know what happened to accountability. And again, if Jazz doesn’t want to hold himself accountable, well, Aaron Boon should hold him accountable. And he doesn’t. There’s no repercussions for anything that this team does. And it’s a poor look because what do you see if you’re his teammate? Oh [ __ ] Well, I I don’t need to run the base as well. I can get picked off of first base and he’s going to put my ass back in the lineup. It’s just like guys that don’t hustle. That drives me crazy. It doesn’t take any talent to run hard. It just takes effort. But if you watch a guy dog it down to first base and the manager doesn’t say anything to him or or doesn’t pull him out of the game or doesn’t sit him the next day, other players see that too and go, “Well, [ __ ] If he’s not going to run hard, then I’m not going to run hard. I mean, why do I got to run hard? If he’s not going to run hard, it’s a bad look. Well, I mean, I can mess up. I mean, if I do, who cares? He can put me back in the lineup anyway. I don’t need to run the bases properly. I don’t need to field the ball properly. I don’t I don’t need to take good at bats. It’s a difference. No, no accountability ever. Ever. And it’s not just this year. It’s been going on for years. You can’t just take the entire 25man roster for the Yankees and dump it. I wish you could. And this is a Brian Cashman issue. And it has been forever. You have to fire the manager. He’s got to go. He’s got to go. I mean, that’s what you have to do. If the players can’t handle little criticism, and like I said, constructive criticism, then you shouldn’t be in the major leagues. I I don’t know what else to tell you. You’re an adult. Take a little criticism. Learn from it. There’s nothing wrong with being criticized. You do make mistakes. You need to learn from them. If you keep doing the same [ __ ] and nobody says anything to you, why would you ever correct it? It’s just a bad attitude. That’s a That is a piss poor attitude for any player to take. I didn’t mess up. I’d do it again. Well, you’re a clown, bro. Why would you do that again? Why would you even say that? She’d get picked off at first again. First base again, saying, “I thought he was going to drop it. I’d want me off of first base, too.” But dude, what the hell is going on with this team? Where is the aura of these pinstripes? Where is the, you know, where is that mayor of the Yankees? Where is it? The intimidation. It’s all gone. You know, they said, “Let’s let’s grow beards this year.” Like, I don’t know why. I I don’t care. I mean, the beard thing, what I don’t care about facial hair or no facial hair. I mean, I can grow a beard in three days. You guys know that. I don’t care one way or the other about that. But where is the Yankee pride? It meant something to be a Yankee. It meant something. There was pride in putting on that uniform. It meant something. It was an honor to wear it. And when you put it on, you played like a Yankee. You know the history. Everybody knows the history. Rof, Garrick, Deaggio, Manel, Barah, Ford, Mson, on and on and on. Reggie, Gry, Maddingley, Jeter, Pada, Pettit, uh, Mar, I said Rivera, right? Jeter, Mariano, Bernie, Paul O’Neal, it goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Bill Dicki, Whitey Ford probably send him to Howard, Ralph Hal, right? Casey Stangle, we we can do this all day with Bill Rosa. We can do it all day with with great Yankees. It meant something. Bobby Mercer, it meant something to put the uniform on and play a shorts stop for the Yankees or play center field for the Yankees. That doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore here. It just doesn’t. These players don’t they just don’t seem to I don’t want to say it doesn’t seem they have to take Yankees, but have what it takes to be a Yankee, but there was a different attitude when you wore those pinstripes. It just was. And when Jeter was there, I said it again. I love Aaron Judge. I love him. I’m not in the locker room, so I don’t know how he is. But you don’t hear stories of players only meeting. He called a team together. Like that’s what Aaron Judge needs to do. I know Aaron Judge is on the IIEL right now, but Aaron Judge, listen, Aaron Boon’s not going to do it. Aaron Boon Aaron Boon’s not going to say anything to anybody. Aaron Boon would rather ple somebody mentioned this on Twitter, too. He’d rather please his players than the fans. This isn’t even about pleasing the fans. This is about winning baseball games, man. This is about setting an example. This is about being a manager and taking control of your team and not allowing these boneheaded, idiotic plays to happen more often than not. And the other thing is the Yankee offense is flawed. People want to talk about, oh, we have a great offense. We just had to fix the bullpen. Well, you come out of the trade deadline fixing the bullpen. You go 0 and3 in Miami. What did we fix? The Yankees averaged five runs a game. Look at their offense. Well, stats only tell half the story. The Yankees averaged five runs in this series, too. A game. Well, they scored three the last two games. Their bats were completely asleep yesterday. They had two hits. And today, all three runs, two home runs. Meanwhile, Miami’s doubling, tripling, singling, stealing bases. And then they hit a three-run homer. They did other things. Like I said, they totally outclassed the Yankees. They gave the Yankees a lesson in how to play baseball the proper way this weekend. That was an awful series for the Yankees. That’s inexcusable. I don’t care how hot the Miami Marlins are. You are in the middle of trying to make the postseason. You can’t go in there and get swept. And the other thing is it’s like they lose on Friday the way they did and all of a sudden they was like, “Oh ho ho ho. Whoa is me.” I guarantee you, man, the 90s Yankees wouldn’t be doing that [ __ ] Those teams would never do that. Those teams would never hang their heads. Those teams get mad and they’d be determined. That ain’t going to happen again. This team just I don’t know what to say. I always say it though, man. Teams take on the persona, the character, the the persona of their manager, and Aaron Boone just isn’t the guy, man. I’m not saying you need a dude to scream and yell and, you know, just get in their face. I’m not I’m not talking about Billy Martin, right? I’m not saying they need a Billy Martin type of manager here, but they need somebody that’s not just going to hold their hand and pat them on the head and say, “It’s okay, Johnny. Go make more mud pies in the infield. We We don’t need that guy. You need to say something.” Jazz Chiso should not have played today. It’s just that simple. Well, he gives us the best chance to win. Well, you know what? Sometimes you need to set an example. And he hit a two on homer today and it didn’t mean Jack Squat meant nothing. But you have to take control of your team. You have to let the team know that you are the manager. You are the one in charge. And when you do stupid crap like that, I’m not going to put up for it. And I’m going to let you know I’m not happy with what you did. You’re going to take a seat today. Boom. Refuses to do that. Gerardi did it. Gerardi overachieved in 2017. I mean, they were one game away the World Series and he got fired. The leash of Aaron Boon is so incredibly long. I just don’t know what it takes to fire this guy. I don’t know what they want. The problem with the Yankees is they’ve become complacent. They don’t care about winning championships. They care about, oh, we made the playoffs. We had a good year. That’s not Yankee baseball. Whether it’s fair or it’s not, that’s not what’s expected here. Participation trophies are not good enough for the Yankees. People like, “Well, you made the World Series last year.” We made it. We didn’t win it. Win. If the Yankees won the World Series last year, I guarantee you I would not be as hard on him as I am right now. I wouldn’t be happy. Trust me. Cuz it’s not because the record is 1652. And by the way, the Red Sox won again today. So they’re a game and a half ahead of the Yankees. Seattle, I believe, is one game back in the loss column. And Texas is two games away from us overall. We play Texas starting tomorrow. If we get swept by Texas, the Yankees at the, you know, when that’s over could be out of the playoffs. It’s the way they lose. This is what’s frustrating. I you can Oh, Garrick Cole, I don’t understand. That’s a That’s a big loss. I get that, but your payroll is $300 million. You’re not the Marlins. You’re not the Pirates. You’re not the Rays. One player should not knock out a a $300 million payroll. It just shouldn’t. And I’ve said this a bunch of times, and I’m going to continue to say it. If Brian Cashman had the Miami Marlins payroll, the Yankees would be in last place every single year because they don’t develop the prospects. They don’t know how to draft prospects. And when the prospects come to the major leagues, it always seems like they’re just not ready to be here. 27 is what our farm system is rated. What would what would he do if he couldn’t spend $300 million on Garrick Cole? If he couldn’t trade for Jean Carlos Tan’s $325 million contract? If he couldn’t pay Aaron Judge $360 million, what would he do if those players went to another team and they had to rely on a crop of prospects that kept coming up and you had to have them while they were in the rookie deal and then once they were available for free agency, you lost them. What would he do? I mean, it’s just it’s it’s there’s a lot of problems with this franchise. It’s not just Boone. It’s much higher than Aaron Boon. And Brian Cashman is a big problem, man. He doesn’t construct this roster properly at all. And every year he brings in some veteran bats and he and he does this. And again, when you look at the championship Yankees, there was a nice crop of prospects. Even in 2009, okay, and that team meshed, but the core four were still there. Canó came I don’t know if Keno came up to the system. I I forgot exactly how they got Robinson Canó, but you know, he didn’t they didn’t get him from another club. They they had they and they went out and they got CC Zabathia. Congratulations to CC on making the Hall of Fame well earned. Seabath is one of my favorites. He took no [ __ ] He always stood up for his teammates. I love CC. So, you know, speaking of A-Rod, I I remember uh was it was it against Tampa? I I want I could be losing my mind here. I think they hit Alex Rodriguez if I’m not mistaken. And then Sebastia drilled one of the one of the Rays. My mind just maybe I’m wrong about the the team and maybe it wasn’t A-Rod that got hit. I just remember somebody got hit. I thought it was A-Rod. Somebody got hit. So Bantia drilled somebody the next inning. They threw him out of the game and he lost his incentive because he needed like three more innings and he got thrown out sticking up for his teammate. The Yankees gave him the money anyway. But that’s kind of teammate CC. The Yankees need that type of guy. They need a guy like Cece, a bulldog. They ain’t going to take no [ __ ] Like, where is that fire? You know, they need a guy like Brett Gardner. You tell me they don’t Bret Gardner. Where is that intensity? But that’s what they used to have. They went out, they got CC Sabathia, they added Marsha, they got AJ Bernett. He spent a lot of money, but he added those pieces into a team that was really set. And it was a nice mixture of young players and and guys that came up through the farm system and veterans. A nice mix of of guys that got on base, stole bases, and tons of power. Not anymore. Not anymore. Sam Cochran, thank you, bro. Tim says, “What up, man? Big Red Sox fan. I love these videos. I appreciate you, brother.” Thank you, sir. Thank you, man. Red Sox kind of just flying under the radar. Nobody expected anything in Boston. They trade Raphael Devers. And look at where they are now. Is it amazing how other teams can turn their [ __ ] around like that? The Yankees can’t do it. The Yankees are on a hamster wheel and they just keep spinning and spinning and spinning and spinning that wheel and it ain’t going anywhere. It ain’t going anywhere at all. You know, I don’t know that the Yankees are going anywhere. But as I say all the time, I just want to give a big shout out to Bet US. They sponsor the stream. I can’t guarantee you that I’m going to do every Yankee post game. Uh but since you guys enjoy them, I I will continue to do a lot of them. I can’t do the game obviously, but I can do the postgame and hopefully one of these post games I can talk about a victory. That’d be awesome. If I could actually talk about them winning for a change. Right. Thank you, man. Boon has no clue how to get his players to respond. He either refuses or is afraid to get on his guys. Zero consequences for mistakes ever. Facts. And this is why, Rodri. This is why the dynamic doesn’t change. This is why the same mistakes are made over and over and over again and again. If it was one dude, if Jazz was messing up every game, if Jazz is booting the ball, Jazz is getting picked off, Jazz is getting caught stealing with two outs, you know, making errors left and right, um, doing stuff, dumb stuff like that. If it was just him, then they could say, “Okay, it’s it’s on the player.” But it’s not just him. it it runs rampant through this entire team. They make mistakes, basic things. The Yankees don’t do basic things well. You know, I heard I don’t know if it was Paul O’Neal. I I I think it was Paul O’Neal that said this today. He said, you know, the Yankees don’t need to play above their head to like win games. No, but they also don’t need to play below expectations either. I mean, that’s what they do. They play way below their talent level. Way below it. They don’t need to play above their head. But can they play up to their level? Cuz I don’t know what the hell this is. None of these guys are playing up to where they should be. And that’s why you lose. That’s why you lose a series. Not just lose a series, but get swept by Miami. You can’t afford this to happen. You can’t lose like this. Said, you just come out of the trade deadline. I feel like Brian Cashman did a good job on the trade deadline. And people on Twitter are like, “Oh, you got to praise Brian Cman for doing his job. We’re supposed to we’re supposed to praise the guy because he because he did his job. How about you win a championship?” Then I’ll give you your flowers, bro. But in my opinion, Brian Cash was responsible for one championship here, and that was 2009. Those other ones, they were already locked in. I’ll give them credit for 2009. And it was nice. The Yankees are always competitive. Of course, they’re because they can outspend everybody. I I to me, I mean, I can’t be a GM. I don’t know the I don’t know the legalities and everything that goes into being a GM, but I do know that he has more leniency and a lot more money than other GMs do. And he doesn’t get it done with all the resources the Yankees have. Should not be getting swept by Miami in embarrassing fashion. You lose a game when you led 6 nothing at 9 to4 on Friday night 13 to 12. You get two hits on Saturday and today you just get totally outplayed. Like I said, the Miami Marlins put on a clinic how to play baseball. I’m watching a young Miami Marlin team. I don’t know one person on this team. I I if I’m being completely honest, I don’t know one person on Miami at all. Okay. I don’t I can remember um Star Wars coming up, right? I don’t know who I I just remember seeing him like in in game one and I remember looking at his stats and he was hitting like 295 with 23 home runs or 22 home runs, whatever he came in Friday night with. And I’m like, “Holy [ __ ] this guy’s good.” And of course, he had a three on homer today. He had a grand slam in game one, right? So, it’s he had eight RBI’s in this series. And I’m sitting there going, he’s good. Like I don’t know anything about these guys. Where where outside of Aaron Judge, where’s the Yankee that hits 300 with 25 homers? They used to be on a regular basis here, those hitters. And they not here. I know nothing about Miami, the Marlins. And they totally show the Yankees how to play baseball. And when I watch them play, I go, “Wow, that reminds me of the way the Yankees used to play.” Crazy. Frank, thank you, brother. I have to say it, but Hal, Cashman, and Boon don’t give a [ __ ] if the Yankees lose. That’s it, bro. Unfortunately, Frank, you are 100% correct. Cashman don’t care. You know, and you know why? It starts right from the top. When you talk about holding people accountable and accountability, it starts right with Howal. It starts at the very, very top because Howal won’t fire Cman. Cashman won’t fire Boon. And as long as these guys keep screwing up and losing games and not winning World Series, they don’t care. They ain’t changing anything, man. They know their job’s safe. No matter if they win 78 games or they win 108 games, they know they’re safe. They know they’re safe. George Aaron Boon would have been gone years ago. Aaron Boon wouldn’t have even been hired. He wouldn’t have even been hired. Would have never hired Aaron Boon. Cash would have been gone, too. There’s no way George Steinbrunner would have put up with this drought. It It’s just insane. But you’re right. Howal cares about money. That’s why they’re happy when they get into the postseason. This is their goal now. It’s a far cry from when I was a kid. And listen, man, I grew up in the 80s. The Yankee this team kind of well, I want to say it kind of reminds me of the like 8 the 85 Yankees are when I fell in love with baseball. Like I started watching them in ‘ 84 when I was nine. I fell in love with an 85 team and I remember 85 86 87 88 amazing offense. Ricky Henderson, greatest leadoff hitter ever, Hall of Famer. Don Mattingley, best player in baseball from 84 to 87. So travesty that he’s not in the Hall of Fame. Dave Winfield, incredible outfielder, steel bases, high average, massive power, Hall of Famer. They had bad pitching. Yankees had terrible pitching those days. They could outscore anybody, but they had bad pitching. They didn’t end up winning anything. Then they went through a really bad stretch from 89 to 92. And then the prospects came up and they developed and they became great and we want we the Yankees were a dynasty. And you add a great manager like Joe Tory and a and a bench guy like Don Zimmer and and they played the game the right way and they did the little things properly. Didn’t mean they weren’t going to do big things, but they did the little things properly. If you man, if you can’t do the little things properly in baseball, you’re not going to win consistently. You know, a ground ball to second base with a guy on third and less than two outs may not be sexy, but it’s effective. The same thing on the sacrifice fly. It may not be the sexiest thing in baseball, but it’s effective. Bunting the guy to third base with one out. Well, that may not be sexy, but it’s effective. Not everything has to be sexy. Win games. Is it nice to watch the Yankees bash seven home runs and score 18 runs? Yeah, that’s a lot of fun. But how often is that gonna happen? Not. Especially when you get into October and you’re facing better teams. And we know that. We’ve seen that for years now. It’s terrible. Toasty. Thank you for being Narz Ramirez. Nar Narves and Ramirez were both traded and we kept Wells. Yeah, what a disappointment Austin Wells has been. I actually thought Austin Wells was going to have a a good year. 29 other teams are laughing at us and the Socks are trolling us. It’s hard to be a 19-year-old fan. Yeah, when you’re that young, you haven’t seen them win anything. But I’ll say this, Toasty, and I’m The Yankees actually don’t look like they’re close to winning a World Series. Of course, they didn’t really look that way when I was 19 either. Um I was 21 when they finally when I saw them win a championship in 96. I was 21 and I I remember like they weren’t they weren’t good for many years. I can remember 95 like yesterday. I cried my eyes out when um Edgar Martinez hit the double off Jack McDow and Griffy scored the winning run and of course our guy A-Rod was right there to to greet him at home plate. But I I cried my eyes out. I’m like I’m never going to see them win the championship. I was so happy Matting Lee finally got to the postseason and I I’m like I’m never going to see him win. And then the next year, you know, bliss, ecstasy, and then I got spoiled. But hopefully toasty, you see it. The problem is you don’t get George Steinbrunner that wants to do everything he can to win. They got Hal Steinbrunner that wants to do everything he can to make money. It’s a big difference. Janice, my lady, thank you so much. again. Janice, I don’t know if you saw the message on uh on IG, but thank you so much for the uh thank you for the PayPal donation, Janice. I really appreciate that. I saw that the other day. So, thank you so much for the PayPal and Can I bow to the fame dog? Way to go. Let’s not Let’s not get carried away. Let’s not get carried away. I’m definitely not famous. Not even close to being famous. Um not close. But I will say uh being able to interact with Alex Rodriguez on social media is pretty freaking cool. Still still a little still glowing about it a little bit. What What are the odds? I listen Janice, you know, you’ve been in these chats a long time. The guys and girls that have been with me a while know I’ve said this before, man. They watch you. When Michael K stole my video, I said they they’re watching what we’re saying. It was obvious. You don’t just you don’t just take three and a half minutes of dialogue and have it verbatim from something I said. There may be similarities there because you all see the same things, but to say it verbatim, word for word, we know that he got it from me. That’s how I knew. I’m like, I they definitely watch. But like I said, for that to actually be Alex Rodriguez to reach out and say, “Hey man, I like your postgame videos.” That was pretty awesome. I can’t lie. Can’t lie. Made me smile. Not many things made me smile this weekend. That did. Old J. Thank you, brother. Appreciate you guys and girls supporting the channel. Remember, supporting Big Bad Dog is supporting small business. And if you haven’t done so, just like and subscribe. That’s the best way to help out the channel, man. It doesn’t cost anything to like. It doesn’t cost anything to subscribe. Do that for me. That’d be great. And remember, follow me on Twitter. Link should be in the description. We’re very close to 10K. OJ says, “All you New Yorkers down here in Florida that live here, jump on the Marlin bandwagon. You pay taxes and send your kids to school year. Go fish.” Um, they jumped on the Marlin bandwagon. That I didn’t know. Um, but I’m not going to lie, Jay. When I retire, I live in New York. When I retire, oh, my ass is going to Florida, bro. I’m not lying. I’m not gonna be a Marlin fan. I’ll always be a Yankee fan. But yeah. Yeah. Well, my kid will be out of school by the time I get down there. Um, but yeah, there’s New Yorkers want to go to Florida. No taxes. New York pension. Great weather. We’re We’re obnoxious. We’re not stupid. We’re not stupid. But hey, listen. You’re a Marlin fan, brother. Your Marlins are playing great baseball. I actually enjoyed watching them play. I don’t have MLB extra extra innings like I used to, but I can tell you what, Jay, if I did, I would watch more Miami Marlon baseball because they play the game the way it’s supposed to be played. And that was actually even though they whoop my team’s ass, which was not enjoyable to actually see a team do the little things to win games and be able to do big things to win games as well. I like that. I’m a fan, man. I’m a baseball fan. You guys played it properly. You deserve to sweep us. You know, but I’m definitely bringing my ass to Florida. I’m bringing my happy ass Florida. Keep it warm down there for me, brother. Old Sarge. Hell yeah. San Oh, here we go. Sanchez, Bird, Severino, Frasier, Florel, Torres, and now Dominguez. Uh, now Dominguez and Wii. All them should be serviceable major leaguers. They were devolved by they were destroyed at the major league level. I mean, I don’t know, man. You mean de I think you mean developed. They were developed. Fine. I don’t know. Listen, Dominguez I still have I There’s another thing, Serge. You’re bringing this up. Dominguez gets a hit and the next at bat we we pinch hit Austin Slater. Why are we pinch you just let Dominguez play? I have high hopes for Jason Dominguez. He’s athletic. He’s fast. He has power. He hits on both sides of the plate. Let the kid play. How can you tell me that Austin Slater has a better chance than the Just let Dominguez play? I don’t know if they’re all getting destroyed. I don’t know where they’re going. The Sanchez was good for two years. Once Gerardi was gone and Boone came in, Sanchez got lazy because Boone allowed it. Gerardi didn’t. Gerardi, no doubt, was hard as hell on Gary Sanchez. And Sanchez might not have liked it, but it paid off. It paid off. You know what I’m saying? It paid off. Glamour Torres wasn’t ours. That was He was a Cub. We got him from the Cubs. He was in their form system. But I I get what you’re saying. But I like Dominguez. Um I don’t know that Vulpi is ready. They might have brought Vulpi up too. It’s funny because some prospects I feel like they bring up way too quickly like Vulpi and some prospects sit there and rot in the miners like Spencer Jones and I don’t understand I don’t get I don’t know how they choose one from the next. I just I don’t man I I I I don’t understand what half the things the Yankees do and it’s very tough to understand their moves. That’s why they’re just in the situation they are. La the legendary Lou. Thank you for being a friend. What really must be calling is listening to Moon afterwards and for him to think people are buying his bull, he must really think he’s clever. Lou, that’s another thing that just kills me is Aaron Boon says the same thing. I still think we’re a really good team. We’re a really good team. I don’t know what the hell he’s watching. You are 18 and 27 in your last 45 games. That ain’t good on any planet. I don’t know what planet Aaron Boon’s on. It ain’t Earth. But even on Mars, 18 and 27 is no damn good. It’s no good. I still think we’re a good team. You need to watch the games, Aaron. You need to watch the games. You know, I’m a big watch guy. I love watches. Boon has a nice watch collection. I always notice he’s got a different watch. That son of a [ __ ] for all the freaking uh for all the crap that Boon has put me through for the last few years, he ought to send me some watches to my PO box. Aaron, I like Omegas. You send me a night like an Omega Aquaterara. I’ll take an Omega Aquatera. Take a Panerai radio mirror. I’ll take a Rolex GMT2 Batman. I would love one of those. That’s the least you can do for me. Cardier tank must. Yeah, I like it all. Give me one. Brightling Nava timer. Come on, Aaron. You put me through hell and back. PO box right in the right in the description. Aaron, I know you’re watching. Send me one. Boom. I’ll lay off you for a week. Let’s go. I’ll give you praise. John, thank you, bro. Sup, Bad Dog. Not a Yanks fan obviously, but love your videos. Appreciate you, Johnny. Thank you. As an outsider, does it feel like Max Freed is saving Grace? Max Freed has been fantastic this year. Been great. Been great. What? Listen, some of the things Cashman did this off season, he did good. Bellinger’s been fantastic. Goldman’s was started off good. Goldman’s in a horrible slump right now. Uh, and Max Freed has been amazing. I don’t know where we’d be without Max Freed outside of Aaron Judge. I think Freed is our MVP this year. So he he’s been awesome. Um but yeah, Max Reed is really good. Really really like Max. And you get Garrick Cole back next year and you have Cole Freriedman and Rodon. Well, your pitching staff look and and hopefully a healthy heel. Your your starting pitching staff looks much better going into the next year. But that’s another problem, man. That’s going to be their excuse. Well, you know, judges on the IIL, you know, we didn’t have Garrett Cole and like I said, you have a 300 plus million dollar payroll. That [ __ ] is no excuse. You’re not sitting here where one big contract screws your team up from signing other big contracts. The Yankees are one of the few teams that can afford to eat a bad $300 million contract. It would destroy other teams. Listen, just look at the Marlins. They can’t afford John Carlos Stanton. They gave Stanton all that money and they traded him to the Yankees, right, for Stling Castro because they couldn’t afford that 13-year 325 B because he was the one guy making all the money. They couldn’t win. So, they said, “Well, we can’t we can’t just give this guy all this money and keep losing. We’re going to have to we’re going have to start over. We have to spread that money around. Yankees can eat $300 million like it’s nothing. They still can’t find a way to win. Trev, thank you, bro. Appreciate you, my friend. Really, I one thing I love about this, I love that I see fans from all different teams. Red Sox fans in the house. Braves fans in the house. Astro fan in the house. I always get a lot of Dodgers fans in there, which I love. I had a lot of Dodgers fans come on my my last uh postgame in the comment section and they remember me from my playbyplay game five and they’re always I freaking they’re like I found you from that. I freaking love you, dude. That always makes me feel good. I I I’m glad I can entertain you guys because god forbid uh I need I need to entertain myself sometimes too. I really do. Um he says Houston Ber we’re falling too. It sucks. However, here’s the big difference between us and you trip. Outside of losing Garrett Cole, which was a big loss, and we’re not going to sugarcoat that. You lose your ace. Big loss. And now Aaron Judge recently going on the IIEL. And of course, we didn’t have Stanton for a good portion of the year. The Yankees were generally healthy. I don’t know how many injuries you guys have had and you still compete better than we do because your organization understands how to build build a farm system and develop players and when they come up to the major leagues they don’t want to play baseball so you win. Trash cans are not trash cans be damned. You guys had a shitload of talent there and it was a long time coming. And the Astros were a really bad team for a long time, but they started to develop these players. They started to draft correctly and then they went on to win World Series. And I know because the Troy City Valley Cats are not far from me and that’s a single A affiliate of um Houston. So I have no doubt you guys will probably get it together. You you’ve dealt with a lot of injuries. The Yankees have played like this for years. This is nothing new. And the only the reason I feel like we made the World Series last year, Trev, is because we avoided you in Baltimore. If if the Yankees would have had to go through Baltimore and Houston, they wouldn’t have been there. My guy Gen XPOV, shout out to the Gen Xers. Do me a favor, Gen X. Give me a hell yeah. Love your show, but I’m a Ranger fan. Listen, I’m just talking about I got Rangers fans in the house. Surely, brother. That said, how do you think this week’s series will play out? As I mentioned earlier, my friend, if you guys sweep us, the Yankees will be out of the postseason right now. Um, I haven’t really been keeping track of how you guys are playing, but I do know the Yankees are playing very poorly. Um, without question. So, it wouldn’t surprise me if you win the series. The Yankees are just they’ll find a way to screw it up, dude. This is I have no confidence in any of these guys, especially without judge there. I just don’t. I I’ve always feel like Belly is gonna come through. I love Stanton. I mean, Stanton is one of those guys, too, that can really infuriate you because John Carlo can, like I said, man, he he can hit the ball over the moon, okay? Rip this, tear the I’ve never seen a guy hit the ball harder than him ever. He’s so strong. So when he gets a hold of him and he’s hot, it is so much fun to watch. But he’ll also swing and miss look like he’s swinging with his eyes closed. So he can be really good or really bad. Um but other than that, man, I never feel like anybody’s going to hit. You know, I know Vulpi had a big home run Friday, but I don’t rely on Vulpi. I’m not going to rely on Jazz Chisome. You know, I I can’t rely on Paul Goldmid. I’m not going to rely on Austin Wells. Trent Gisham’s been fantastic, too. You want to talk about a guy that’s had a really really good year for the Yankees? Trent Gisham has been just a complete really nice surprise and he’s a free agent. Be interesting to see what they do with him next year. They didn’t trade him so it’ll be a surprise. Uh Curran, thank you, bro. Appreciate you. really really I don’t like that it that it shows you guys like your at names now. I don’t know what this is. It’s Kurt from NYU. Thank you, bro. I appreciate it. And always big shout out to my guy Pete at NYU. My brother from another mother. We love Pete. We love NY Underground. We love him. Love those guys. Love our guy Gary Sheffield Jr. Yankees Unloaded. Shout out to them. Great. I told you, man. Yesterday there’s a lot of really good Yankee podcasts on on YouTube. A lot of really good ones, man. Really good ones. And Pete. Pete’s my favorite. I’m being honest. I love Pete. Next year, man. Can I already ask my wife? Now, April’s difficult because we go on vacation in April. So, depending on when that NYU day is, I gotta meet Pete next year. I gotta go to that NYU day and I I gotta have a beer with my guy Pete. It’s got to happen. The shit’s got to happen. Pete and I will go down in the clubhouse. We’ll hit Boon over the head with a bag of cotton candy. And that’s what we’re gonna do. Allelu, thank you so much, brother. Appreciate you supporting the channel, my friend. He says, “Yankees can spend money, but they need to develop young talent and add balance and depth. The Yankees used to have that. The Dodgers spend more money, but our young talent keeps us afloat during injuries.” Facts. Facts. And my guy Lou is a baseball connoisseur. He knows baseball like the back of his hand. He teaches me a lot, man. I feel like I know a lot. My guy Lou knows so much about baseball. And what I love about Lou is Lou still keeps score at home. Now, a lot of you young people probably don’t know what that means. What do you mean keep score? Where you actually write down in a score book of each of the recorded who made the assist, who had the put out. Is it an E6? When they say that’s an E6, meaning an error on the shorts stop, that’s you put that in your little scorecard. You put where the man went on base, you put they scored runs. You can do it a bunch of different ways. That’s old school, man. I used to that’s one of the things I used to love to do when I was a kid is I got old enough to understand how to keep score. We’re talking, you know, when I was like 13, 14 years old and I would go, “Oh, my dad.” I loved to get the the yearbook and keep score. I loved to get the scorecards and keep score. was fun for me. I I enjoyed it very much. Um yeah, listen, as a Yankee fan, Andy, I absolutely adored Jerry Remy. He he and Don Oracillo would crack me up. I can remember just I remember just watching Nessen right all the time and just I I used to watch Red Sox games obviously because I wanted them to lose but I would also listen to listen to Orselo and Remy do and man they would have me laughing so hard. I’m like why can’t the Yankee announcers be funny like this? They’re all so serious. They’re all so straightfaced. You know, it’s like this. I don’t like that. Remy Darcil used to crack me up. I loved those guys. Loved them. Don Orcil is a is a great announcer. I think he’s with the Padres’s now. Um yeah, I love the Jerry Remy. Used to used to crack me up. Used to crack me up. My guy Johnny, thank you again, brother. He says, “Even as a socks fan, I know Boone is a [ __ ] That second Yanks sock series in Fenway was managing malpractice. Plus, Crochet and Bregman have been fantastic. John Aaron Boone gets outmanaged in every way, shape, and form in every game. He goes to the wrong people in the bullpen. He pulls the guys out of the game at the wrong time. He makes the wrong defensive adjustments.” Aaron Boone has no feel for the game. You know, he says some of the most ridiculous things out today. I didn’t really hear him say anything ridiculous except for I still think we’re a really good team. You’re not a good team, Aaron. I’m looking right at you. You’re not a good team. Get it through your head, man. You’re not good. We’re 112 games into this season, bro. You’re eight games over 500. You’re 18 and 27 in your last 45. You just got your ass swept by Miami. You’re not good. Stop fooling. I know. You’re trying to fool yourself. You’re not fooling the fans, bro. This positive affirmation [ __ ] ain’t working. Win, but he’s totally outmanaged all the time. He doesn’t He has no feel. He has no feel for the game of baseball. What if the runner trips? You know, I remember this too. remember it was I was last year or the year before. Well, you know when I like to keep guys that are in the lineup that are slumping. I want to because I want them to find it, but then once they find it, they put them on the bench. So, what do you why do you have to find it so that you can be benched? What are we doing? Are we trying to win games? Are we trying to get guys to hit the baseball? Play your best players. Matchups be damned. Matchups are what happened in the past. Oh, you know, Jason Dominguez is two for nine with five strikeouts against a guy. Well, what if Jason Dominguez was just going through a bad stretch at that point? What if Jason Dominguez is red hot right now? Managed on field. Joe Tory and Don Zimmer managed on field. That’s why they always pushed the right buttons. They brought in the right reliever. They brought in the right pinch runner. They brought in the right pinch hitter. Feel. You don’t just manage with analytics. You have to have a feel for the game. Zero feel when it comes to feel for the game. Aaron Boon is [ __ ] numb. He’s numb, too. Nobody beats there is. Nobody beats the R. I got to say, man, I have a lot of fun doing these post games. I’m glad you guys enjoy them. I do. I have a lot of fun doing this. I’m going to get out of here after this one, though, because I like to keep it under an hour. He says, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I never been excited to watch Giants football.” You, me both. Usually the Giants season is over before the Yankee season. Due to the talentless team, the Yankees. I I feel you, brother. Listen, uh, Saturday, right? We have our first preseason game. Buffalo Giants. Chris and I are going to be live doing the game. Right back at it. Um, so yeah, I’m excited to see what Abdul Carter does. We’re going to see Jackson Dart play. Um, I’m I’m anxious, man. I’m ready for Giants football and I’m with you. I usually at this point I’m more excited about the Yankees making a run in deep into October and and this year I’m just hoping they even get to the end of October and they have postseason games because they’re just not a good team. They’re just not. The one thing I’ll say about the Yankees, I’ll end it with this. I will end on a positive note, okay? The one thing I’ll say about the Yankees is this. This is an incredibly streaky team. They are streaky. They can go get red hot and just start going off and now I we haven’t seen that in a long time. If they somehow sneak into the wild card because they’re not going to beat Toronto for the division. This team ain’t going to win the division. If somehow they get into the postseason and they get hot at the plate, they really can’t ride that deep into them October. That’s the one That is the one saving grace that keeps me hanging on to this season as a Yankee fan is knowing if they just get there and they get hot, they can take anybody down. Problem is they’re so incredibly inconsistent that you’re going to see you could see what you saw in this series. 12 runs one day, two hits the next. don’t know what Yankee team you’re getting, but that’s what keeps me alive this season. That’s what keeps me having hope for the Yankees. With that said, I’m going to get out of here. Really appreciate all the support on these live stream post games. I’ll probably do one again tomorrow night. Hopefully, I’m talking about a win. Can I do one of these where we’re talking about a win? We have good vibes in the chat. I know you guys love my rants. I appreciate that. It’s part of my charm. I love I love that you guys love it when I get pissed off. I love that. It’s fun, right? I would like to I would like to talk about a win one of these days. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your Sunday, everybody. Thank you so much for all your support. Really do appreciate it. And uh we’ll see you next time. It’s a bad diggity dizzle and I’m out. Follow me on Twitter. Let’s get to 10,000. I’m out. Peace.

After Boone accepted Jazz's bullshit cover story for his massive, unforgivable, little league fuckup Saturday, I would like this team to sink into a complete tailspin so that Boone will get fired – if that is what it will take to get him fired. Boone is either too dumb to recognize Jazz's BS or he knows Jazz is lying to him and the public yet still won't confront it. This lays bare his incompetence for all to see. He must go. He cannot manage the Yankees anymore.
I vote for Joe Torre as the new NY Yankees manager
I could have saved you a lot of time after the first 15 mins.
I was against Boone since year two. He is a Girardi clone. I have been against Cashman since about 2014.
The fact is, the issue now is entirely front office: Hal and Cash.
Stop rewarding this organization with your time, money, fandom. Obviously, it’s all about the Benjamins.
Disincentivize the front office.
These issues were crystal clear to me about 2018. I knew Judge would be a wasted Yankee great. No one wanted to hear truth. Now, truth is screaming at everyone, whether they wanna hear it or not.
Jazz Chisholm is a counterfeit Yankee.
Marina is my cousin. Maybe don't talk ish
Cashman's BS culture, which Hal has bought into, has rotted this team to the core. They won't win shit with this group.
I will add this, re: Cash/Hal.
The Dodgers are spending like drunken sailors. Five times worse than George in the late 70s.
Name a trade that Cash has made, since 2010, that has had any real consequence? You cant! Bc it hasn’t happened! Zero impactful trades.
Why is that?
Don’t you wonder?
Simple answer: no other GM wants to deal with him. He wore out his welcome. No one wants to give him the ability to say he won a deal.
The only teams who will, are tampa, arizona, maybe oakland.
Small market guys who cant afford their players and cant afford to limit trading partners.
When was the last time we made a deal with the DODGERS? Never! Why? Do we really not like ANY of their players, MLB or Minors?
It’s entirely Cash.
No one wants to deal with him. He must go.
There are 31 teams with hundreds of MLB players and thousands of minor leaguers out there. If you can’t get ONE impactful deal done since 2009? You need to find the door, don’t let it hit you in the a$$.
Remember all those Japanese imports who would always come to the NYY?
Since about 2005, 100% have gone to LA or Seattle.
Why???
Ask yourself… WHY?
I don't like Arod, but I appreciate how cool that must be. I watch a music reaction channel, and the guy, a rap fan, got a tweet from Eminem. He lost it!😄
The Marlins sweep is like the sum of all our fears. What Jazz was trying to do could have been heads-up baseball, but he stepped out a step too far. So he made a mistake and should have owned it. You would never see Ichiro do something like that. You want to make the guy have to throw over to 1st–that often results in extra bases. But you can't present an easy out.
Go fish 😉
New follower here, I just found your channel and I like it. You say the things without sugar coating! Keep it up! 👍
Get Wally Backman…
67 million payroll for the Marlins, its embarrassing lol
Looks like Luis Gil spent more time at the local Tattoo parlor than at Rehab. It's a Red Flag when you see someone Graffiti themselves that badly. Reminds me of the recently released Marcus Stroman.
Marlins rooter here since 1995 ''There's more to baseball then the longball'' I was telling all my Yankee friends that years ago when the Yankees got Stanton, He did zip for the Marlins and he always had knee issues, so for the Yankee fans out there, what has Stanton done for the team?? Other then take the money
Black Jack 🤣
Yankees are currently at +420 to win the American League. Well behind Detroit and Toronto.
The Yankees have been below average for the past 10 weeks. The lineup has been anemic.
Boone's a wimp. He's not going to hold people accountable! It's the whole reason they got rid of Girardi! It's all Hal! His shit ideology for his team! Ruining his Dad's Legacy! SELL THE TEAM! BUMS!!
I stop watching them
AWFUL
Is Baddog a Marlins operative?
Pride left in 2018 when they hired a guy that knows nothing about baseball was a well below average baseball player and no experience as a manager ! They also this year get an assistant batting coach that had no experience being a head hitting coach. If they didn’t fire Boone yet they won’t. This wouldn’t have happened if George Steinbrenner was alive !
Commanders ,Redskins fan here but you're a cool guy, keep up the good work. Marlins Baby👍 ⚾️
Got owned by a team with a 47 mill active payroll wtf
Sny > yes and nesn Mets own the city not the Yankees 😂😂😂 Yankees are the past Mets are the future 🫵😂
What beats all is that “The Players Manager” they don’ t play for. ARod appreciates your no BS approach. As far as talent goes? Beyond Judge & Fried I see NOTHING in between.
“Leaders are not born, they are made. Become the leader you're meant to be!”👊🏻🇮🇹
I’m done with this team. Unwatchable. Excuses and no accountability. They are not pulling me back again unless they completely change their approach to the game
Go back to old school baseball ⚾ fuck analytics,, that shit doesn't work for this team,, and please get a fucking manager that holds players accountable for real 💯😡😡
We fans should boycott let's see what happens then..
39:25 Now look at Gary Sanchez. He is now a semi journeyman. I think he plays for the Twins now.
I've been saying for years that Cashman is a mediocre GM at best. Without a hundred million dollars more than other teams, the Yanks would miss the playoffs every year. Hal always says that you don't need $300 million to win a WS. He's right the Yanks don't need a $300 mil., payroll, they need a $400 mil. as long as Cashman is in charge. What can I say about BaBoone? He just doesn't know how to win.
😭 Lets Go Yankees ⚾
From almost 20 games over 500 to 8 games over 500 this show everybody on the Yankees are nothing but BUMS freaking unbelievable
I wouldn't panic until ur out of the wildcard position . I'm rays fan . U got jazz and wells playing so bad . Id say worse than Volpe
Hey Baddog, can you explain why the infield fly rule wasn’t called on the Jazz Play? I know the second baseman started out a couple of steps in the outfield before moving back onto the dirt. But generally, if the infielder sets up facing home plate to make the catch, even if he’s a couple of steps on the outfield grass, the infield fly rule is called. Very lame excuse by Jazz. He should had resigned himself to the fact that if the ball was dropped, he was going to be out at second and just gone back to first.
CC broke Carlos Pena's hand against TB.I remember that game
