I think if I said that to Mussolini, you’d be like, “What? What are you talking about?” Yeah, you would go, “No, I was talking to the dog.” Who would order a license plate that says assment? Maybe they’re Will Chamberlain. It doesn’t have to be someone who gets a lot of women. It could be just some guy with a big ass or it could be a proctologologist. Uh wound up going to state fair yesterday. Packed. You love going to uh you love going to the fair. You know what though? Little disappointed in what unis. They were very stale. But I can tell you this and I think I texted you guys yesterday. Brewers gear far outweighed everything else. 10 to one might be light. People are excited. 10 to one might be light. 10 to one Brewers gear to Packers gear. I I’m going to bump that up to 15 to one. Maybe 20 to one. So it was it was it Brewers Gap, Packers, Little Gap, Bucks. Okay. I would say Packers to Bucks were three to one. Now I’ve So I’ve never been to state fair, but I feel like I feel so literally never never. How is that possible? How literally why it’s never happened. Lifelong Wisconsin resident has never been to the Wisconsin State Fair. Oh, and by the way, it’s held 15 minutes from your home. A question answer. Have you been to the Washington State Fair? I have not been to the Washington County. I’ve been to the Dodge County Fair. I’ve not been to the Washington County State Fair. What’s your problem, Kazamsky? I don’t know. I just have never gone. Jen, have you gone this year? Not yet. Next Thursday, Daario is in the cream puff eating contests. So, that is our planned day to attend the state fair. Jashy, I was there on Saturday all day. Tried all the new offerings of food. Made my way around. Had a couple bruskis. I had the thing that won the sporky. Is that right? Did I say that? Sporkies are very famously a thing at uh at state fair. It was delicious. It was actually What was it? It was a brat with like breading wrapped around it served with marinara sauce. It was a wonton br. Wait, no. That am I wrong? I don’t think that’s the one that won. I It might have been in the sporkies. It might have finished high in the Sporkies. Okay. But the one that won was like a banana a banana uh not a wonton, but Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s right. There you go, Joshy. Yeah. I try I try to eat different things. It was very good. But you can’t eat a boiled brat. Am I right or wrong? It’s got to be grilled. Yeah. I Sounds like you did. I did. But it would have been so much better if it was grilled. Yeah. Because you’re losing some of the texture. It’s a little more mushy when it’s boiled. Oddlooking gray, too. Yeah, it’s not a great It’s not a aesthetically pleasing color. Yeah, but it was delish. It was It was uh It was very good. Deals weren’t great. Why do you think people go to the fair, too? What do you think the What do you think the big draw is? Like, do you think it’s the food? Do you think it’s the rides? Do you think it’s the people watching? People watching is one. So, we went with intentions of buying stuff because we love that expo center and they normally have good deals, right? Sure. And we were the only ones in the group that didn’t. Had a friend that bought another palm tree. Had a friend Oh, one of those expensive palm trees that your wife bought a couple years ago, which she told me nine times, I still don’t regret it. Oh, all right. Hey, # no regrets. Friend uh bought a sauna, Jen. I believe the place that you uh sponsor. Did they mention my name for a discount shoe? We told them to. We left cuz we bolted. We Irish. Goodbye. It’s got to go. We just left. It’s rule number one. Got to go. It’s And then we had reached that time. We had another friend buy a golf cart. A golf cart? Yes. At the fair. Yeah. What are they going to use the golf cart for? Well, you can drive around Okachi now with them on the roads. Oh. So, we tried to buy knives. I didn’t realize Okachi was now just a golf cart community. Bunch of old people just cruising around in golf carts. We tried to buy knives. Couldn’t get a deal, though. Can you guys All right, let me ask you this. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Your wife was trying to negotiate a deal, wasn’t she? She was. Yeah. And they moved a little bit, but not enough. $1,200 for a set of knives. Seems like a lot. Seems steep. Seems like a lot. She got him down to 1,50. What was she trying to get him to? 400. So, here’s the thing. She doesn’t really want the knives. Correct. He just wants to win the negotiations, right? The knives are just the vehicle for negotiating for Angie. The The thing is, good knives are expensive. I don’t know what you guys were dealing with, but like a a a really nice knife is multiple hundreds of dollars. I know. And I love a nice sharp knife. Love it. Yeah. I love taking them to the sharpener, too. But you know what the problem is? I’ll tell you what the problem is. This is the problem. It’s very simple. Costco. Well, you can just go to Costco, get something a lot cheaper. That’s That’s roughly equivalent. Yep. He’s not wrong. Am I right? 400 bucks. We got a knife set for the for the lake. 400 bucks. So, Costco is ruining the Wisconsin Expo C Center’s business. Is that what you’re trying to tell me? I think so. I think um little housekeeping here. I did look it up. The winner of the Sporkies was the ubo butter banana French toast. Is it Lubia? Is that how you pronounce it, Joshy? I’ve just called it lumpia. I do not know the origin of it. Uh but yeah, that’s I tried it. I wasn’t a fan. It’s a caramelized bananas, syrup soaked French toast, purple ube butter, deep fried, dusted with powdered sugar. The one that Chewy had, I believe, finished second in the Sporkies, and that was the BR rangoon from Worst Bar. Sound about right? It was delish. So then we Irish goodby. We just left. Didn’t tell anybody. And we went to Mama Mia’s. Did anybody text you? Where did you guys go? Yeah. So, you can’t respond until you’re back home. So, we go there. Was that in fear that they’re going to come meet you then at your next destination? We didn’t want to get sucked back in. Yeah. You know what I mean? Seems like it seems like that fear was pretty high then because I feel like once you leave, if if Irish goodbye and my friends text you, hey, where’d you go? I’m Hey, don’t worry. I’m fine. Just had to go. So, I sent you another picture from Mama Mia’s of a lady sitting there with no shoes on like right across from us. And Jen Josh says that is fine. It is to be expected in West Dallas. Stand by that. So I got to let it go. Prepared for the local to be the thing that excuses the behavior. Uh I I agree. She had her feet up on the booth across. So, she’s sitting at a booth alone. She had her feet up. I don’t think she was alone. Was she alone? I think there was looked like there was somebody. There was a guy there, but he he wasn’t eating. You can see I’m not going to post a picture cuz I’m not going to post the person’s face. Correct. Yeah, they unwillingly. Uh, but there is a person tucked in the booth there. I can see his him sitting there on the farther side. Yeah. So, his her feet are blocking him in. Correct. So, he’s eating dinner with somebody’s dogs out about 6 in to his left. I think Josh is right. Look, no, I don’t think that there’s any town, local community where it’s allowed to have your bare feet on a No, nobody said nobody said allowed. Nobody said that should be allowed. I believe what Josh said is it should be expected. Like I mean big difference. Yeah, there’s a big difference. Like West Dallas being expected. You’re making the allowance. You’re saying, “Well, what do you expect? It’s West Dallas.” That’s what you’re saying. Yeah. Yeah. Because West Alice has, let’s be honest, this is the expectations they’ve set for themselves. Yeah. This is what West Alice has done, which is fine. There’s a reason people call it the dirty status. Yes. I think we should power rank places that you might see somebody’s dogs out at dinner. Kad, he knew that. Knew Kah was going to make an appearance on the list. Chewy was just waiting waiting for you to ask that question. Yeah. couldn’t say it fast enough. I don’t have the knowledge to participate in that conversation. I don’t have the Yeah, man. A good one. Manitwalk’s a good one. Um, anything north of what I Anything north of Wasaw really, but to Joshy’s point, I really wasn’t offended because it was in Stallace. I think I expected it. That’s fine. You You kind of see it. You make a mental note of it, but you’re like, “Ah, this is this is I I chose to go here. This one might be on me.” Chewy, you posed another question to us which I thought was very insightful, very interesting, very enlightening actually. What was the question you posed to us about your lock screen? I said, “If you are in a serious relationship or you’re married, are you obligated to have your spouse on your screen saver?” Uh, the answer to that is no. Why? I don’t know. I’ve never Wait, no. I thought no was the answer you were looking for. It was looking for support. See, not only do I have that decision cuz Angie’s on it, I don’t even get to choose the picture. This this doesn’t sound like a decision. Yeah, this seems sounds like a mandate. Yeah, it seems like this was part of the vows when you guys stood in front of God and your friends that this was probably something that was snuck into the contract percentage. Let’s just go with married people. I I bet 70% of married people have their spouse either on their home screen or the lock screen. I think that depends because so again I do not but I’m guessing like in Jen’s case and Jen you can correct me if I’m wrong here. When you have small kids I feel like most parents are going to have pictures of their small children. Now if you have adult children like you do at this point you’re not going to have pictures of your adult kids on there. But the small children I feel is like any friend that I know if I see their phone I’m I’m willing to bet dollars to donuts it’s their kids on their phone. See now mine what what’s the first one? So that’s the lock screen. So my kids are on my home screen. I thought he was asking about the kids guys. I thought what’s the name of the first kid? So yeah I have them. Jen, what do you have on your phone on the lock screen? On the lock screen. Lock screen. three kids. And if I’m being honest, the background is the other is also the children. It’s our Christmas picture of the children. Here’s my question to you. Do you feel like there is a portion of the population that is going to make a judgment call on you and your relationship based on whether or not you have your spouse as your lock screen, right? Like if you don’t have your spouse as your lock screen, are there people out there going, you know what I mean? like making judgments about I think with me they’re just saying that I have no balls basically right you know I’ll admit I don’t I fully admit I do not I I don’t run anything I don’t want to run anything um that’s fair right what do you have as your lock screen me uh I’ve got a picture that I took from Augusta National on the 10th hole that That is my lock screen. No. So, my wife’s uh her lock screen is a picture of our dog. Okay. And then her home screen is um a picture she took when we were in Puerto Rico. So, it’s just like looking out and you can see the ocean and yeah, it’s a beautiful picture. But yeah, I’m I’m not on my wife’s phone. My wife is not on my phone. I I got judged because I didn’t have the dog on mine. Mine was just one of the general ones. I had never changed it. That’s That tracks for you, pal. And it wasn’t you need a picture of me, you need a picture of the dog there. So that has been changed and probably will never change again. I’m going to say that. And I just want to make sure that we’ve addressed this, Chewy. Yeah. You have to have your wife as your lock screen, right? That’s what we’ve established thus far. Um, is there a nicer way to say it? It’s an expectation. Chewy wants to have his wife as his lock screen. There you go. It’s an honor. It’s an honor to have his wife on the lock screen. That’s a great He didn’t want me on. It’s a picture with me in it. I can see your shoulder and it’s cropped, so I’m out of it. Yeah, your right shoulder. It’s right there. I can see it clear as day. Well, you don’t need to know what you look like. Do you at least get autonomy over which picture you get to put on there? Uh, no. I have to get permission. Yeah. Wait, so you at least given an option like, “Hey, what of these three pictures is the one that you can have as your last?” I put a very nice picture on there. It was just her and she said, “No, I don’t like that picture. Get rid of it. Put this one on there.” So, what about your home screen? What’s on the home screen? Just nothing. The family. Okay. The family. Yeah. All right. Yeah. Like I just had an idiot friend text me, “Run your camp.” I know. I know. I don’t run my camp. That’s fine. Yeah. I mean, you know who you are and you you’re proud to admit it. There’s nothing wrong with that. Here’s the thing. I think you guys talk about out of both sides cuz you think you run your camp, but you really don’t run your camp. I’m under no illusion. I run my camp. There’s no doubt in house who runs the camp. Josh calls his girlfriend Mussolini. Do you think he believes he runs his camp? It’s a fair point. Although you could argue that the ability to call her Muslim means he has a little more power than we think he has. Also, uh, on the shuttle to state fair, bringing it all around here, Mike and Franklin was our shuttle driver and said, “Oh, is that Mussolini back there?” And you bet you it is. I feel like this happens once a week now where she gets recognized in the wild as Mussolini. I’m sure she loves it. She just absolutely loves it. Every second of it. But why does Mussolini get a pass? She waited and said how she feels about it. That’s the weirdest thing. How Mussolini gets a pass cuz he was not a good person. No. But if my wife called me dumber, that that would not be good. No. Right. Nope. Nope. I mean, obviously there’s one that is like, eh, no. Don’t use that one. Power rank the names that you can call your spouse when you’re upset with them. I think I found the perfect between people know but it’s not known enough. Correct. Yes. It like you know you know the name you know good things aren’t associated with it. You’re just not sure about the specifics the way you were with you know some other dictators. Mhm. All right let’s put this on the Jen Gabe and Chewy Infinity Exteriors poll this morning. It’s got to be about your lock screen on your phone. It sounds like Chewy is under a certain uh what do you call it? Uh obligation to have his wife as his lock screen. He’s curious if he is alone in that. 80099-3776. What do you have as your lock screen on your phone? Is it your kids? Is it a picture from a golf outing like it is for Gabe? Is it your spouse? Let us know. 800990-3776. We got a boatload of stuff to get to today. What a weekend it was in the state of Wisconsin. Family night taking place up at Lambeau Field. Another incredible crowd, 60,000 strong. Not a shocker at all as Packers fans showed out. Again, we got a love compilation video of every pass he threw at family night scrimmage. And there’s a lot of thoughts about that. What should we take? How should we use this data as we evaluate Jordan Love? There was a wide receiver snap breakdown as well. And oh, by the way, your Milwaukee Brewers not only swept the Nationals, but they set a record for 56 hits in a three-game span. We will talk about that as Jen Gab and Chewy rolls on this morning on a Monday. Cheese it. The legendary snack cracker. It’s now available in a frozen pizza. It’s sitting in my freezer by the way. You know, I’m thinking back to the trade deadline in Major League Baseball on Thursday, and I’m thinking about how Joshy, I heard you say on Friday, you were questioning this organization’s commitment to winning a World Series because they didn’t go out and get a bat. I think it’s fair to ask you the question this morning. Have you changed your mind after the offensive performance the Brewers put on this weekend against all be at the Nationals, but I believe the number I saw was 56. Is that correct? 56 hits in a three-game span. They now have a run differential of plus 119 in Major League Baseball after starting the year minus 32. That is first in the league. Do you feel like this team has the offensive firepower it needs to make a run, Joshy? I certainly think the Brewers are a very good team. I also think they are not far away from disaster, not far away from a few things regressing and the Brewers having some real challenges scoring runs. I think Jackson Cheurio, Sale Freelick, we saw Miz go on the aisle. Like all these things are coming to a point here where the Brewers are winning at this point like 70% of their games. That’s not a thing that really can translate. Teams don’t win like that throughout the course of the season. Um I still think they’re a good team. I still think they’re a playoff team, but when it comes down to the playoffs, I still think another bat would have been integral to this team truly being elevated to one of the top tier teams. Because if you look at the odds at Podawatami, they have the eighth or ninth best odds. If you look at Pakakota, which does the the standings and the projections for the rest of the season, the Brewers aren’t finishing based on projections as one of the they’re like a top three team, but not the best team in baseball. So, I think this is great, and I think you’re getting yourself an advantage and improving your chances. But I still think when push comes to shove, the Brewers are going to be in positions against some teams that are really deep and really good that in a sevename series will be able to edge their way out. Well, let me ask you this. Is there concern that they’re peaking too early? Because I talk about it in football, like when we went through our Super Bowl thing, we lost a game to Dallas. I think it was Dallas and then we go to St. Louis, played like crap. You lost to Dallas and Kansas City. In Kansas City, you lost backto-back games. Breaking your good teams don’t, you know, lose backto-back games rule. So, we went to a bad team in St. Louis, played them. The first half was a train wreck and we had the team meeting. There were probably eight games left to win it all and we sat down and said now it’s time to run. Can’t lose a game. Let’s run the Is it too early? And then you won everything by double digits. Are they peaking too early? I mean, they’re hot right now, but I Yes, being hot in the postseason. Take a look at a team like the Mets. Like the Mets got hot. They made a run to the NLCS last year, but like it’s not like the Dodgers were super hot going into the postseason. They were just good. And really all it takes like the Brewers, let’s say Andrew Vaughn and Contrarus play like they have. You’re going to have a chance to win a lot of games that way. Now, you can’t really predict those things because they could just pop up game two through the rest of the series. You just can’t get Contrarus out or Vaughn keeps hitting home runs. That’s kind that’s the kind of stuff that makes it or you know Brandon Woodruff is unhitable and he gets two two shots at at games like that’s the kind of thing that dictates I guess I don’t feel like with with a game guys like baseball where everything can be so fluky and you can run into a weekend or a series where things aren’t popping. I don’t understand the idea of peing too soon in baseball. Look, I’m a runner in in running that that’s a thing, right? You don’t want to be having your best splits, your best times in the middle of the season. you want to be honing and and tapering and that sort of thing. Chewy, it sounds like over the course of a football season, you do want to make sure you’re playing your best football towards the end. But if you’re a really really good team, maybe this is just what the bar is. This is the bar, like this type of performance. And again, I’ll admit that the Nationals are not a good team and it is awesome. But I felt so I enjoyed it so much watching this series this weekend because to me it felt like there was a little bit of f you. There was a little bit of, “Oh, you don’t think we can do it with these guys? Oh, you don’t think we’re good enough? You don’t think we can show, you know, an offensive prowess that some of these other teams in the league that spend a little bit more money?” To me, it was that like we’ll show you. And I don’t know, again, I I I read things on social media. There’s, you know, um gestures the guys are doing on the field and gestures the guys are doing in the dugout and stuff. I don’t know what they all mean, but to me, there was a little bit of that upstartness. And I kind of loved it. I kind of loved this idea of you didn’t think that we this group could get it done. We’ll show you. Anybody else feel that way when they were walking? Okay, cool. You got it done against the Nationals. I guess I I mean, look, I I don’t want to downplay getting 56 hits in a series. It’s awesome. But like it’s one thing to be able to like talk your ish when when it’s against the Nationals now when you’re playing the Phillies, the Mets, the Cubs for five games later, the Dodgers, the Padres’s. I mean, the Nationals have the second worst record in the National League behind the Colorado Rockies. It’s the Rockies and then it’s the Nationals. They’re not a very good team. So, like, yeah, you can get away with having the lineup that they There were a lot of people going, “What the hell is this lineup on Saturday that featured Lockidge and Ortiz and Ortiz is hot right now, too, which is certainly helping things. This Brewers team is beat up. Like, they need if they want to make a significant run, they need the guys that are beat up.” Mhm. to be healthy late in the season. They need Miz to be healthy. They need Jackson to be healthy. They need S to be healthy. Would it shock you to think that Pat Murphy used that as a strategy that again after all of the talk of the Brewers needing a bat headed into the trade deadline and them basically standing Pat, I know they made a few moves. Him telling those guys, “We’re going to throw this lineup out there and y’all are going to show them what you’re capable of doing.” And then they bought it hook, line, and sinker and went out and did just that. Like to me, there was so much mental warfare taking place this weekend with the Milwaukee Brewers that I don’t think has gotten enough attention. To me, it is another example of why Pat Murphy is the best manager in the National League and should be the front runner to win National League manager of the year. Again, I think I saw at least at one sports book, he is the favorite right now at minus 175. I wasn’t able to check Podawatami last night. I can do that as we sit here. But I am so excited about what this weekend represented, even against a bad team, too. Yeah. I guess I’m just scarred. You know what? What season scars me is the one where they were undefeated for a while, remember? And then they went in and played the Kansas City Chiefs and it’s like the Packers. I’m like, what the Yeah, the Packers. It’s like the Chiefs figured them out. You knew it wasn’t a baseball team undefeated. Well, that’s what I’m like, what is he talking about? Do you remember that? They were like best team in football and then you go and lose to the Chiefs and they’re like all their confidence was drained and then they stunk. I think they lost in the first round of the playoffs. I’m just saying they got the buy and then they lost. The psychological part in me as a former player is like, okay, let’s have a fivegame losing streak. Let’s just lose five games and get it out of the way, reset, and then go. I prefer not to have a fivegame losing streak. But you know what I’m saying? That’s too long. Like if you lose a couple in a row, sure. But five games is would put you in a really tough spot when it comes to the division because that’s the other thing. The Cubs are still breathing down your neck. Like but I’m bigger in coming in the back door than the front door. You came in the front door though when when you won a championship as the number one seed. Brazing. I I I think I should have dumped that. What does that mean? Never mind. Moving along. And we’re moving on. If you guys wouldn’t have fun lingering on it, it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal. You don’t need to go through the back. At least see if the keys under the back mat. Okay, you don’t have that luxury anymore in baseball. The jig is up. The gig is up. I never know if it’s jig or gig if I’m being honest with you guys. One is a dance and one is the the situation. People the people are aware of the Brewers, you know, and maybe there are some, you know, other fan bases that are out there going, “Oh, this is a fluke. They can’t maintain this pace. They’re not going to be able to run it. Look at the injuries that are piling up.” You mentioned Miz. I don’t think that the Miz injury is that serious. I think it is more of a tactic that is being used in order to once again save him for a postseason run, save him for a uh late September run. But but I just there is a part of this team that feels like they are capable of proving those people wrong, you know, and even without getting a bat at the deadline. You know, I you can’t ignore the 56 hits in the three games. No, you know, because they’ve played bad teams before, guys. Not this team specifically, but like you play bad teams all the time. Sometimes you lose those series to those bad teams. This was an emphatic statement by the Brewers this weekend. And again, people are going to want to diminish it because of who the opponent was. But Chewy, when you beat bad teams soundly, you still can take some confidence from it, right? You can still take positives from it. Like you said, 56 is a lot. It’s just um it’s the whole is it sustainable? Is it sustainable? What they’re doing the the winning that they’re doing right now and Josh you mentioned it before like winning 70% of your games like that’s that’s going to regress like that’s just you don’t do that throughout the course of baseball. Now you can do that for a month or two. They did do it for two months. Yeah. Yeah. But it’s going to regress a little bit and like they could they could very easily lose this series to Atlanta coming up. Like Atlanta’s got some good bats in that lineup and they lost the series to the Braves earlier this year at Amfam Field. Like I I just can’t take away any broad statements from any series that they play. You know, it’s it’s like a couple years ago when they lost their series or maybe they got swept by the A’s who were terrible and and Taush wanted to give up on them. I mean, it’s okay. Was it bad? Yeah. But it’s it’s baseball. It’s more about the long haul than it is about those three games. No, I I got it. You know, it’s about trying to win that series, take two out of three from Atlanta and maybe if you lose that series to Atlanta, don’t get swept because you have to keep up the lead that you have or if you happen to fall behind, keep pace with the Cubs because it’s going to be a tight race all the way down. And we’re going to be looking forward to that fivegame series in the middle of August coming up here in just a handful of days. Joshy, do you think they can win at all? I think they can. I think they would need things to really go their way more so than some of the um more top end talented teams because I mean they’re getting production out of guys that like just baseball is pretty straightforward. the good players perform well and the bad players can perform well for a stretch and then they sort of come back down to earth and there’s so many I don’t want to call them bad average average players that are playing over their head right now and I I think you can we can say for sure the Brewers at this point having the best record in baseball the best run differential is not totally a fluke but we can also say they’re probably playing above their heads they’re out over their skis a bit and is that going to be able to continue throughout the season because of the style of Pat Murphy and the style of some of those athletes that they have out there. But I also think their margin for error is much much thinner than some of those teams that you would look at as favorites for the World Series. So what percentage? But if every time, Chewy, we have the conversation that the Brewers front office is the one that we trust the most, why doesn’t it stand to reason that the Brewers front office has been able to identify talented guys who have not yet hit their ceiling and this year they are hitting their ceiling. Like I guess I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that Joshy, I know you use the word average and maybe you wanted to pull back on that a little bit, but maybe these guys aren’t average. You know, maybe we’re not talking about dodgeball over here. average Joe’s Peter Laflur. Maybe they’re better than average and that’s because the scouting department for the Brewers and the front office for the Brewers have identified guys who just haven’t reached their full potential yet and they happen to be doing it this season. But I think it’s just this stigma that goes along with the Brewers where it doesn’t with the Packers because if the Packers this season were in this same position of the record in baseball, we would be sitting there going we got it. Where’s the Super Bowl this year? We got it. about because it’s the Brewers. It’s like, well, things aren’t fair and Anunnasio didn’t get someone at the trade deadline instead of saying, you see what I’m saying? Yeah. But I mean, look, I I think that to Joshy’s point, like Andrew Vaughn is better than he was with the White Sox. Do I think he’s going to continue to be Aaron Judge? Probably not. Like, I don’t think that you missed that bad on someone, right, in terms of of Andrew Vaughn. The good news for the Brewers is somebody who’s been underperforming basically all season at the plate seemingly has refounded and that’s William Contrarus. Like Contrarus is one of their good guys who’s been underperforming all year. He is a multiple silver slugger award winner at the catcher position. One of the best catchers in all of baseball and because of a fractured finger had been underperforming. Now he’s kind of figured it out. Apparently Ree Hoskins helped him out with some confidence in and in and a couple little things that they adjusted in the batting cage and now he’s starting to look a lot more like oh William Contrarus that we were expecting all season long. Like the fact that he still doesn’t have double digit home runs. Shocking for for someone who’s been so good for the Brewers. So, while some of these guys could potentially regress to the mean, that also means that now we’re starting to see William Contrarus, play like the player we’re expecting to be, and he can pick up some of that slack that may fall off if Vaughn cools off. Okay. I just think we have restrictor plates on when we come for come to the Brewers. Yeah, because Are you saying you want to take them off? You want to take Yes, I want them off. Yes, I’ll take them off with you. Yeah, I think we should be saying, “Hey, why not us? We’re as good as anyone instead of like saying before the trade deadline.” I mean, the division is just such a tight race, right? Like there’s a real chance that the Brewers finish with the second best record in the National League and don’t get a buy because they’re hosting a wild card series and what and crazy things happen in those wild card series over the course of three games. That’s what’s so obvious, Gabe. every time you talk about this, that wild card series is a boogeyman for you. I’m not saying you’re alone in that. I think that there’s a lot of Brewers fans who feel that way, but like you’re very concerned about having to be in that wild card series because of the way the Brewers have played and performed in it in the past. It’s not It’s not specifically a Brewers thing. It’s specifically a baseball thing. Like, as talented as the Dodgers are, like the the Dodgers have the most talent in all of baseball because they spend the most. Mhm. They can easily lose two out of three. Easily. Yeah, lose two out of three to a good team because that’s that’s all that’s left in the postseason at that point. That’s why everybody wants to avoid that weird fluky things. The longer the series goes, the better that is for the good teams. The shorter series, the better it is for the teams that are worse because they might get, you know, a Joey Ortiz, you know, their number nine guy might run into a baseball in game two of that series, hit one out of the ballpark and well, well, that’s it. Season’s over. Like, it’s just such a short series for any team. I would want to avoid that because weird random things happen in baseball more than they happen in any other sport. 800990 3776. Your excitement level after the Brewers set a record with 56 hits in a three-game series this weekend. They have the best run differential in baseball right now at plus 119. And again, I want to remind everybody that is after they started the season in a hole, a 32 run hole. That’s how good they have been. And obviously this past series is going to skew those numbers a bit, but it is an impressive place to be in and I think there’s a lot of optimism. I I want to ride the wave. As I’ve told you guys, I’m trying to ride the wave. World Series are bust for me for this Milwaukee Brewers team. Want to pivot to Packers here on Jen Gabe and Chewy for just a few minutes as family night took place this weekend. And once again, Packers fans showing up and showing out. I mean, it is always incredible. And I want to make sure that we don’t take this for granted covering this uh franchise. How cool it is to see Lambo Field filled on a Saturday night for a practice. Allan Iverson Chewy, your reaction whenever you see the video, the photographs from a packed Lambo field on a summer Saturday night. I think it’s great. And a lot of those people are the one because we talk about how expensive it is to take a family up there now for a regular season game or a playoff game. This is a way for people that can’t get tickets to still be able to go enjoy the stadium even though it is a practice. Do they have fireworks at the end? I don’t know. I feel like for so many years they were just cursed with like bad weather and that they had to cancel the fireworks. I’m not sure if they still do the fireworks or not. There’s so many kids there, you know, they’re excited. They’re very interactive with things they can do around the stadium. I think it’s I think it’s great. A lot of cool moments. Um, who what’s the name of the safety, Gabe? Uh, is it Omar? Omar Brown. Omar Brown. Yeah. Who’s fighting for a roster spot because we thought the safety the safety spot looked like it was pretty locked up and he is throwing a wrench into three interceptions. Had three interceptions. I believe it brings his total to five for this training camp. So, there’s a lot of cool little stories. They had Romeo Dobs doing the the was it the the punt event. You know, they had the kid do it last year and it went viral because he caught like six or seven balls and then they had Romeo Dobs out there doing it. I believe he was up to seven, but he dropped the sixth one. So, then there were questions about whether or not that counted. So, they do these cool little individual events that really get the crowd going. Of course, Jordan Love and the quarterbacks throwing into the baskets at the end of the corner of the end zone as well. And and I want to talk about Jordan Love here because is it is it Justice? Is that the guy? Uh there’s a there’s a compilation that is out there right now um of every single throw that Jordan Love threw on family night. And there was some mixed reaction to that video. So if you haven’t watched it yet, go ahead and take a look at it. It’s about a minute 45. It’s not all that long. But Chewy, I wanted you to give me your reaction when you watched the quarterback of the Green Bay Packer for that compilation. How did you feel about what you saw? Uh, number one, there was no marquee throw. You know, there was no head turner. Uh, it was a little bit of dink and dunk, but it, you know, my overall grade because I watched that, you know, roll of plays C plus B minus wasn’t, it was fine. It wasn’t spectacular. This is what you would expect this part of camp, especially with young receivers because the offense always lags behind the defense because so much of the offense is timing, getting familiar with new receivers and and things like that. Um, it was fine, I guess. What was your take? I I was just there there was no like, wow, nice uh ninestep, 10step roll over by a receiver. put it right on the money. I think the last throw was probably the best. He hit a little back shoulder. Little back shoulder to uh to Matthew Golden. Yeah, you know, that was a a good timing play. Balls out of his hands quickly. Got it to Golden. Nice eight, nine yard completion. Um I mean, the offensive line had their struggles. You know, Jordan Morgan getting beat by Lucas Vaness doesn’t help, you know, Jordan Love get comfortable in that pocket. So, no Rasheed Walker for family night. um you know certainly did not help as as Morgan tries to get his footing playing more left tackle after playing the majority of guard early on in camp. So I don’t think that helps everything and I think that led to some back foot throws from Jordan that I’m hoping we see less of. It’s a great thing to be able to do be able to throw off his back foot and be as good as he is at it. But at times last year it felt like whether that was because of the injury or whatever it felt like he fell in love with that a little too much. Um, and there was some pressure, so I think that that kind of led to him throwing off the back foot a little bit, but yeah, still plenty of time in training camp to clean a lot of that up. It’s so v vanilla. And this defense has been around long enough and competed in what is this the third camp now? Would love, so they know what routes they’re running. The separation between receiver and DB weren’t great. Um, but this is what you expect this time of year. It’ll get better. Well, I guess my question to you guys is this. What if this is what we saw at family night? Jordan loves mechanics and his footwork. Um, you know, I don’t know if it translates always at the quarterback position, but I think about golf, Gabe, the sport that you obviously love, and there have been guys who have been known for having unorthodox swings and have had a lot of success with unorthodox swings. I think I saw Bubba Watson, his guy, Arnold Palmer. You know, there’s even been recent guys where it’s there it’s not exactly it’s not the the perfect swing, but it works for them. Is there a way that we can push Jordan Love through that prism? Is there a way that we can say like, look, by now we have seen six years of Jordan Love, three years as a starter. Th this is his mechanics. They can sit there and try to tinker and improve and make it more optimal, but it doesn’t seem like it’s sticking, right? And in instance like this, to your guys’s point, it’s a practice. You’re not getting the full threat of the rush because, you know, guys aren’t trying to hurt each other. And yet, there were still times where he was throwing off his back foot when you would think he probably doesn’t need to do that. He needs to set his feet. He needs to make a good throw and accurately hit his target. Are you okay, Gabe, if what we have seen from Jordan Love is who he is and we just operate within those parameters? No. Because to me, the the lack of especially this past season, I I think the lack of the sound fundamentals is what’s led to the inconsistency. And what we need out of Jordan Love. What everybody agrees that we need out of Jordan Love is more consistency. And I think the easiest route to that is kind of cleaning some of these things up. Being able to not drift back in the pocket and just flip one off the back foot, navigate that traffic just a little bit more. But again, it’s one practice, so I’m not overly concerned about this, but those are the things that he needs to do in order to be better to achieve that consistency that we’re talking about. We’ve seen the upper level. We know the upper level and the way he can play can be with the best, but can you do that on a consistent basis? Because if you can’t, then you’re hoping that the hot streak comes at the end of the season or in a Super Bowl run the way it did for Eli Manning, the way it did for Joe Flacco. And instead of being a consistent contender the way it was for Aaron Rodgers, Pton Manning, and guys like that. Now, I did think on four or five balls, he held on to the ball too long, and that’s going to cause you to throw off your back foot. Yeah. You know, so his decision- making, it’s just got to be quicker. I mean, he he might have been just getting bored because there were a lot a lot of like little checkdowns like six yards run and you get bored, you know? Yeah, that’s right. You get bored. you want, you know, you’re out there in front of your own fans, you want to give them a wow throw. And I So, I did think he held on to the ball maybe four or five times a little bit too long, which is going to cause you to have your mechanics go a little haywire. Yeah. So, again, it’s I think it’s just this one practice, you know, like you said, maybe it’s maybe it’s as simple as what Chewy said that he was looking to make that big time throw and he was trying to impress the 60,000. Yeah. Again, I’m not overly concerned about it now. If I see it through the first four weeks of the regular season, that’s when it becomes, all right, maybe this is what Jordan Love is. That’s that’s when I think Look, I played with a guy whose mechanics were awful. Yeah, they were pretty bad. Were they? A lot of interceptions. So that’s decision-m that’s not mechanics. Like in order to throw the ball as hard as Brett did. Yeah. Like you needed to have pretty good footwork underneath. But that but the coaches when they had like Mooch and Andy are like, “All right, he does this really well. It looks ugly as sin.” Yeah. But he manages it. You know, it’s the stuff you can’t manage, right? Like Brett was horrible and we tried to do it for years and years on sprint. Sprinting out like a roll out. Yeah. But like a full roll out. Yeah. That wasn’t his He wasn’t great, you know. He wasn’t great, but we kept it in there. Um, so the Artha they just have to pick and choose. All right, you don’t do that. Well, we’re not going to do that, you know, but concern level is a zero. I have no concern. It’ll be fine. I guess it just depends on if you are okay with and and this is a philosophical thing also because work in progress, aren’t we all all work in progresses every step of the way? But I think that there is a desire for it to get cleaned up. I think there is a desire for Look, for a lot of people, guys, Family Night was the first time they’re seeing extended cuts of how Jordan Love is going to look this year. And again, you don’t want to weigh too much into it, but it was your first glimpse of that. So, you sit there and go, “Oh, no. He’s still doing that.” Okay, well, maybe it doesn’t matter because it’s family night and it doesn’t matter because it’s just a practice. I’m sure he’ll get it cleaned up, but are you are you sure they’ll get and then you have to work through the am I okay if these are his mechanics? I can he have a high level of success if he is throwing off his back foot in situations like this. If he is hopping around the pocket the way that he is, if he’s not setting his feet on some of these throws, especially when he’s trying to go downfield, as we have talked about how the accuracy at times has been an issue. Are you okay with Jordan Love still being a work in progress when it comes to his mechanics and his footwork? I guess is what you have to reconcile at this point. What one more thing, Jen, because I made the switch. I went from Andy Reid my first four years to Mike Sherman. And there’s a new quarterback’s coach, and they do things differently. Like when I had Andy, you know, the shoots look like cattle things. Shoots, bagging boards. Shoots, they look like, you know, the big thing that the linemen go on. They’re the metal things that line lower. No. Oh, the shoots. We’ll get a picture for you. Okay. Andy Reid hated him. I hated him. Mike Sherman loved him. I hated him. And Mike Sherman still made me do them. You bonk your head off him a few times. Yeah. Short choppy steps. Keep your face wide. There you go. But the worst is when when you uh you your hands are inside the chute hitting the bag and then your helmet hit your hits your hands. Yeah. dent up your fingernails and stuff. Yeah. So, we got to give this coach a little time because he wants to do it his way. He’ll clean it up. We’ll be fine. Yeah. Like I said, I I’m more concerned if it happens more into the regular season. Yeah. 3776. If you’re buying or building a new home, Great Midwest Banks will help guide you every step of the way. I think if I said that to Mussolini, you’d be like, “What? What are you? What are you talking about?” Yeah. You would go, “No, I was talking to the dog.” Who would order a license plate that says ass men? Maybe the Will Chamberlain. It doesn’t have to be someone who gets a lot of women. Broadcasting live from the Gruber Law Offices One Call That’s All studios at the Avenue with Gabe Nitel and Mark Chamura. Here is Jen Latt. One of the biggest stories in the NFL right now being discussed on all of the national programs is Micah Parsons making a request to be traded from the Cowboys. Now, we have done this song in dance. There have been players on other teams, big-time players, generational players, gamechanging players who have had squables, conflicts if you will, with their respective teams. And every time we go, he kind of nice to have that guy on the Green Bay Packers. But for the first time in this off season, the Packers have actually been mentioned as a team that could make a play for the player in question. So, there’s a lot of drama. I don’t know if you guys have been following it. It’s very like real housewives and very like uh you know I I guess I saw Nicki Minaj is involved now because Jerry Jones took a shot at Jay-Z and Dez Bryant and Nicki Minaj decided to defend Jay-Z and it’s it’s the stuff that’s going on down there in Dallas is wild. But if we keep it with the Green Bay Packers because Jeremy Fowler did list the Green Bay Packers as a team that could be in the market for Micah Parsons. Gabe, your reaction to that mention by Jeremy Fowler? It’s I mean, cool. Guess where Guess where Micah Parsons is going to be playing now and for the foreseeable future. The Dallas Cowboys. And did you see LVN against Morgan? Well, but so there’s there’s a number of different things. First of all, this is just how the Cowboys do business. Like Jerry wants to have the headlines about a disgruntled player and contract negotiations all throughout training camp. This is Jerry’s playbook. We saw it with Zack Martin, who’s an offensive lineman. We saw it with CD Lamb. Hell, we saw it last year with Dak Prescott. And guess what always ends up happening? They get a deal done. Like Jerry just wants these headlines. We saw earlier this off season, Miles Garrett demand a trade, was done with the Cleveland Browns, put it out there on social media. He wanted to be a winner. Guess what happened? They made him the highest paid non-quarterback and now Miles Garrett is going to be a Cleveland Brown for the foreseeable future. The same thing’s going to happen with Micah Parsons. Two or three days before the Cowboys open up the season, I promise you, he is going to sign a massive new contract with the Dallas Cowboys because this is how Jerry Jones does business. Second of all, if he was actually on the market and Jerry was listening to teams offers, the amount of draft picks you would have to This isn’t just a one or two pick situation. This is a hall for a player this young and this accomplished. And then on top of it, you’re going to have to pay him as the highest non-quarterback in the NFL. The Packers don’t have this cap space. It’s not a move that Goody would make in terms of the draft picks he would have to give up, plus the amount of money. Like, this is I mean, it’s it’s it’s fun to talk about, sure, but Micah Parsons isn’t going anywhere. Like this is I feel more confident about him not going anywhere than anybody else just based on Jerry’s track record of wanting to drag out these negotiations and do it publicly. You know how long has Jerry been doing this for? And there’s other literally my entire life. There’s other guys I would have rather have than Is he overrated? No. Well, last time he played Green Bay, he didn’t do anything. Matter of fact, he got dominated. So, one game in the playoffs two years ago for me overwways somebody who said would you rather have what? I’d rather have what? Would you rather have Crosby? No. Would you rather have Miles Garrett? Yes. So, if they were going to go down this path, they would have done it earlier. What about Hendrickson? I would rather Oh, especially with their age factored in all day long. Give me Michael Parsons. He feels Okay. Okay. But I don’t want you guys to miss the forest for the trees here. Okay. Stay with me for a minute. Never knew what that Maybe everything Gabe said is correct. All right. Yeah, I don’t even have time for that this morning. Maybe everything that Gabe said is correct. I’m glad that we got it out there so that we could say it. Great. It’s on the record. But what I think you guys are ignoring is that Jeremy Fowler mentioned the Packers as a team that could be in the market for them. That means that somewhere somebody is putting the Packers in the category of still needing to upgrade that position. And that is what I think we should focus on. Right? This is the first time the Packers have actually been mentioned as a team that might be interested in upgrading their defensive line. And that to me is actually something that we should point we should we should pay attention to because we’ve been sold to that this defensive line is good enough that this defensive line they’re going to go to battle with the guys that they have. But this is the first time that the Packers have been mentioned as a team that could be making a play for this position. So that to me was a change. That to me was, “Oh, wait a minute. Even if Micah Parsons is, you know, the white whale, that’s not going to happen because this is just a part of how the Cowboys do business.” Is there any part of you that goes, “Oh, maybe finally there is some recognition, some realization that this position isn’t good enough to compete this season.” No. because this is something Goody doesn’t do. He doesn’t trade and pay. It’s just something he doesn’t do. And if he did do it, then he’s admitting that he made a mistake. I still don’t believe he thinks he made a mistake. He thinks Lucas Vaness can play and he thinks Rashan Garary was still a good signing, which we don’t think it was. So, it would be a double whammy. It’s something he doesn’t do. And the other thing they don’t GMs don’t like to do is admit when they’re wrong. So I don’t think I have I wouldn’t even give it a percentage. This is like Giannis, right? Yeah. And the guys we’re talking about like would upgrade literally any team, right? Like we’re talking about Micah Parsons is probably the third best pass rusher in the NFL behind Garrett and Watt. He’s really good. like any team I think that if he was actually on the market a lot of teams would be sniffing around because of his age and because the production he’s put up through his first four years. So what would you have to give up? Two first round plus two first rounders plus they ain’t happening. Yeah, it’s two plus. I mean you are going to have to give up a hall for someone because the difference is like all the other guys we talked about seemed more realistic like you might be able to get them for one or two first round picks because they’re in their 30s, right? or approaching 30. Miles, excuse me, uh Micah Parsons is not that. Like he’s he’s just not that. So I I look at it differently, Jen, that Yeah, I think anybody if Micah Parsons were actually available, every defense across the league should be interested in a player like that. Like that’s everybody. Like even the Philadelphia Eagles who had one of the best pass rush units in all of football. Yeah, we’d be interested in Micah Parsons because no matter who you are, even if you’re the best team at rushing the passer in the NFL, Micah Parsons is going to upgrade your team. And then I don’t think Gy’s sense of urg sense of urgency is the same as ours. I just don’t. Does Gy’s sense of urgency change with Ed policy not extending his contract yet? Probably. I mean, is there a hot seat? I wanted to ask one of our reporters up there, the Robert Jason. Is is it is it warm? I think it’s warm. I don’t think it’s hot. Like they things would have to be disastrous for them to lose their job, too. Like four or five wins disastrous. Like someone just farted. That kind of warm, right? I mean, right. You’re not wrong, Josh. You’re not wrong. I played the fed. He’s not used to me being back yet. You’re a little off. I just don’t know what to do with that. Is Is it a little hot? Does the temperature raise when somebody farts? I can’t say I’ve noticed. Well, you can light them. I know that. So, there’s got to be some kind of combustion. There has to be some sort of heat because you can light it on fire. Yes. I’ve literally never heard someone go, “Oh, it got warm in here. Did you fart?” I’ve never had anybody put those two together if I’m being honest with you. Kay, I guess I guess we have to consider that that variable could play a role. Again, none of this is set in stone. This is all just hypothesizing, but I can’t help but wonder if Ed Policy’s uh position on his GM and his head coach make them operate a little bit differently. Do I think a Leopard changes its spots? No. Do I think that Goody has a plan for this roster and believes that he is so far on time and on track? Yes. But I do think it sends a message to, and you mentioned this when we first got wind of Ed Policy’s position on these contracts, that all of a sudden maybe you start secondguessing. Maybe you start saying, “Okay, what do I need to do differently? What areas, what units do need to be upgraded?” Which what is it obvious in? And I and I and I love the idea that like yes, these conversations often come from the agents. The agents throw teams out there. The Packers have been on the record of saying that they are a team that gets thrown in the mix when athletes are trying to negotiate with their current teams as being interested and they aren’t always interested, which very well could be the case here as well. But the fact that the Packers were included on this list with the Cardinals, the Ravens, and the Commanders as potential suitors per Jeremy Fowler did raise my eyebrows a little bit. I agree with you, Gabe, that this feels like again this just the way the Cowboys do business. So, don’t get sucked into the rip tide at all. Well, let me ask you, but I couldn’t help but wonder if it meant there was a change of thought at the position. Let me ask you that. You think policy said that because he really wants one of them to go cuz he wants to go back to the old structure. Now keep in mind his dad was president in San Francisco where they didn’t have the silos. The GM was the boss coach. You think he may have said that because he’s like one of you is going to go because we’re going back to the old system where the GM is the boss or the coach. Do I think in his he would prefer that? Yes. Do I think he would prefer that both these guys are really good and the Packers just win a Super Bowl this year? I think he’d prefer the the latter than the four. But what are they going to do if they finish just like last year and they’re both in the last year of their deal? They’re going to give him a one-year extension. Would you take a one-year extension? Or would you say, you know what, I’ll play it out. That’s fine. Because Lafleur would get gobbled up in a heartbeat. Right. Correct. What would you do? or what would you guys do? It would be tough because like I’m so committed to building up what I’ve built up and if I felt like I was so close, I’d probably accept the one-year contract because I feel like I’m so close. Out of ego, though. Yeah. Look, yeah, it would be tough, but I’m guessing that’s what they do. And ultimately, there’s only 32 of these jobs and there’s no guarantee, right? Bill Bich is the great one of the greatest coaches of all time. Couldn’t get couldn’t get another job. Granted, there’s a lot of other factors in there, you know, but still, no, I think that’s the way you would almost have to look at it. Like, yeah, I think I’d get a job, but I guess there’s no guarantee that I would get a job. Okay. And you might have to take a year off and then you’ve got to start over from scratch and build up once again. I don’t know if you want to go through that if you can avoid it. You guys are on the same page though where the price is too high to even kick the tires on a Micah Parson, correct? Well, well, again, you can kick the tires, Jen, but when you kick the tire once and they go, “Hey, by the way, that’s going to cost you 500 bucks to kick that tire.” Well, nope, never mind. I’m good. Mhm. Nope. Nope. No thank you. And uh by everything I’ve read, the price would be two first and a player. I know the word Romeo Dobs has been thrown out there as well. I think Matt Schneiderman did that on the Athletic when he was putting together a potential package for Micah Parsons. But two first and a player does feel very steep even as good as Micah Parsons has been. Plus $40 million a year plus which also has to be factored in. They would have to they would have to make other moves in order to make again you’d be able to get creative with that contract but you would have to make some other moves and sacrifices on the roster to make room for them. But again, another big weekend for your Milwaukee Brewers. And I do think that it is time for us to be leading the campaign for Pat Murphy and his pocket pancakes to be the National League manager of the year again. Look, you said it, Gabe. You were talking about how people were not frustrated, but like they saw the lineup for what was it? Saturday’s game Saturday weekend and they were like, “What? What uh this what why what’s happening here?” And all they did was go out and put up another historic performance against the Washington Nationals. Uh, Chewy, did you catch the pocket pancake thing from Friday night? Are you familiar with this? I am not. And why are you laughing? Because it’s just a nice it’s it’s a funny little quirk um that that Pat Murphy has. I like a lot of different things during the game. There’s pancake. I got a actually actually I got a little pocket pancake right here that I munch on. They’re wonderful. You want some? I would love to. Thank you so much. Oh, those are delicious. Is it literally a pancake? It was a pancake that he had in his pocket. That he had in his pocket. And then they asked him about it after all fair questions by you. All fair questions by you. So this the game was exclusively on uh Apple TV. So or Apple TV Plus. So you know that was the sideline reporter, the dugout reporter who was talking and then tried a piece of the the pocket pancake. But apparently pancakes aren’t the only thing that Murphy likes to keep in his pockets. Number one, do you really keep pancakes in your pocket? Sometimes pancakes, pizza. I mean, it’s stuff I like. And having a little carbs during the game to wash down to have something, you know what I mean? How does um one keep pizza in your pants without it causing like long-term damage to the plants? Oh, not long term. You just wash it. Right. Now, pizza. When it’s cold pizza, then you fold it up. Okay. Like a sandwich. Gotcha. You know what I mean? Yes. That makes go in there. You need it during the game. And when I wear a hoodie, I have a pocket right here and that’s full of crumbs. But you go toppings. Topping. Sausage. Okay. The cold pizza and then the cheese. The sauce doesn’t, you know, it’s cold. I I was just thinking of a hot slice of pizza, but that makes me think. No, I usually get them out of the hotel. When you walk down the people, do you put pizza boxes outside? They always leave some slices. You can’t eat anything. You cannot eat anything that comes from another person’s pocket. I’m sorry. That is like the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Yeah, the Southern Report did it. She ate some of the the pocket pancake. Ah, that’s not that bad. If if if Pat Murphy offers you a pocket pizza chew, you take a bite of that pocket pizza. Let’s talk about it on Jengab and Chewy. It’s sponsored by BetterHelp. Mental health is health. Visit betterhelp.com/timeout for 10% off your first month of therapy. That’s betterhelp h. I understand there might be a little pocket dust on there. I understand there might be a little lint on that pizza, but you give it a little give it a little blow it off. Just No. And you’re the one that scarred the show. You scarred the show because when you had one of your child’s diapers in your bag and there’s food in there. So I can’t No, you can’t go there. I guess it’s okay if it’s your own kid. Like my Well, I’m not going to go there cuz I’ll get in trouble. Well, again, it first of all, again, I’ve said this multiple times here on Jen Gaming Shuy. It was a pee pee diaper, not a poop diaper. And those diapers, guys, in 2025 or 2024, whatever year it was, are very self-contained. Look, kids are disgusting. Jen, am I right or wrong? In the end of the day, people are disgusting, too. It’s not exclusive to kids. I’m not. Excuse me. I have I have qualities that are disgusting. Yes, but at the end of the day, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Can we put that on the poll? Can we put that on is Chewy disgusting? I mean, the the sock thing alone gets you in that category. The fact that you were wear the same workout shirt throughout the course of the week also disgusting. H I don’t think it is. You You can get pretty right, bud. I can’t. Yeah, I know. Like I’m wearing Angie socks right now. I’m amazed that they fit. Now I ripped. Does she know? Does she know? She can never know because I mean whatever. So I mean if if she get if this gets back to her, she’s going to throw on all of her socks just in case they were the one sock that you decided to put on your disgusting feet. Jen, you’re telling me you would take a bite of the pancake if it was in Murf’s pocket? Yeah. What do you think people are keeping in their pockets these days? Like, people don’t even carry change anymore. I think pockets are going widely underused. So, if he wants to keep a little snacky snack in his pocket, again, I don’t have And again, it’s a pancake, right? We’re not talking about absorbing any of the like whatever you think might be in there. I feel like it’s a pretty safe snack to have from someone’s pocket. You can buy a t-shirt. I did not. But I mean, isn’t the pancake isn’t the main quality of a pancake is that it does absorb things? That is I thought that was the main quality of the Are you keeping syrup or some liquid in your panc? Yeah, I’m worried about that. Not only that, do you know how cuz I used to do it when I was a kid. You know how many people pick their nose and then put it in their pocket? That’s No. What? I I don’t That is not a thing. That does not happen. I guarantee I’m not out of here. If you’re picking your nose, you’re not putting it in your pocket. You’re flicking it. You just took it out of one orifice. You’re not putting it in another. You’re telling me you pick your nose and put it in your pocket? Not anymore, but I used to. No, for real. Like a wet one that you Where you going to You know, you get a gooey one. Yeah. It’s not coming off. You need something to wipe it onto. So, you just used to put I’m out on pockets. I I also I just want to be the person to remind everybody that Chewy just said a few moments ago that he’s not disgusting and then followed it up with saying that he puts his boogers in his Well, in his defense, he said he doesn’t do it anymore. I don’t know how long ago. Yeah, I don’t know how long ago the last time he did that was, but And I don’t know what the statute of limitations is to make it not disgusting. I don’t think it is. I think it’s more disgusting to put it like under the table, like gum. What are you talking about? Oh. Oh, put the booger under the table. Oh, sure. I I also think why are we not just putting them in tissues or flicking them into the envir like just just give it a little There’s no tissues around it. It was at the end of that second clip there, but Murf also intimated that he’s leaving the hotel for the morning to go to the the the ballpark and he’s checking pizza boxes on his way out and grabbing any leftovers, which to me is somewhere I never go. And I saw this with a number of different beat writers on Twitter over the weekend because clearly the first question is, all right, he’s not seriously doing that. That’s a bit right. and the beat writers, you know, like guys like Kurt Hog were like, I don’t think this is a bit I think he’s actually doing the pizza thing where he’s looking and pilfering pizza from boxes outside of hotel rooms. Okay. But perhaps it’s as simple as you’re staying on a floor of a hotel. The entire floor is the Milwaukee Brewers. So, it’s not as random as you might think. If if I’m walking down the hotel like the one I stayed in last night, I don’t know anybody who’s staying at the hotel. I certainly don’t know anybody on my floor, but I’m guessing that the hotel rooms adjacent to Murfs are members of the Brewers team, coaching staff, support staff, etc., etc. So, he feels And how is that any different than sharing a pizza with your pals when you go out to the to the pub or the pizzeria? What do you mean, how is it different? Because I don’t know what happened to the pizza overnight. Jen, if you were to show up here tomorrow with leftover pizza that has been just sitting out, not refrigerated all night, I’m not eating a slice of it. See, that’s where you and I are different as well. We leave the pizza on the stove in the box or in the stove. We don’t refrigerate the pizza overnight. We put it back in the box. It stays on the stove or in the stove. If you’re heating it up, it’s fine. But if you’re eating it cold, gotten sick. Yeah, cuz you’re I doubt that. I doubt that. I am guessing there have been a couple of loose stools over the years because of that. Uh willing to bet anything on that. Probably probably right. You’re probably right. No, but if I if if you know back in the day if I saw a breakfast plate outside with a quarter of an eaten bagel with cream cheese, I’m I’m I’m staying away from where they bit it. But I’m eating the backside of it. You would too. George Castanza and the and the garbage can. Yeah, you’re you’re truly disgusting on the field. Yes, but not in real. Well, because that’s the other thing, too. Like Jen’s saying like, “Oh, it’s other members of the Brewers.” Baseball players historically disgusting. Why? Yeah, but he’s one of them. Murphy’s one of them. Yeah. He’s not going to sit here and put himself on a higher pedestal. He doesn’t think he’s better than them. Like, he’s into it. If I say the If I say the name Chewy, Moises Aloo, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Jesus. Shouldn’t be. No. Anybody pee on hands? There we go. They said that’s good for you. Well, so instead of wearing batting gloves, he would pee on his hands to toughen them up. What’s wrong with that? PE is sterile. You can drink it. You can You know that, right? If you were on a desert island and there was no You tell me you’re drinking pee on a regular basis. And if somebody’s just keeping pee in the refrigerator to drink, that’s not disgusting. to to stay alive. You can drink it. Also, P is not. Is it okay? Is it okay that my first when you said Moises Aloo, I immediately thought Bartman. Is it okay that that was my first before? I mean, he was the outfielder there. No, I mean, I’m I’m telling you that 90% of the people the first thing they think of is Moises Aloo peed on his hands. I told you we peed on our feet. And I told you the Packers told us to pee on our feet when you have athletes foot. My goodness. Yeah. And guess what that is? Gross. Disgusting. It’s absolutely disgusting. I appreciate the effort that you’re putting into this thing. We’re not changing his mind. Okay. Like, we can we can offer proof after proof, evidence after evidence, and this guy is standing, Pat. All right. It’s just I’m assuming that the shirt you’re wearing was once white. I’m just assuming that it’s now just Yeah. that it was once white and now is just degenerated to whatever color this is. No, it’s like a gold tan. It’s like a tan. That’s a nice brown, right? Speaking of that, I saw the blammer Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You blamed out. Wore the exact same thing every single day. Yeah, he’s a cartoon character. That’s what cartoon characters do. But he smells like chicken noodle soup. That’s like I can’t eat chicken noodle soup anymore. No, really. Gabe, you do make a good point about the cartoon character. You think Charlie Brown’s wearing different shirts, right? Yeah. Every time I see Charlie Brown, he’s wearing the same thing. You think Donald Duck is out there changing outfits? I read an article on why older people have the smell they do. You know what it is? I was amazed. Any idea? Any guesses? No. No. It’s cuz their skin is rotting. I guess that’s what the article said. Sure. I I have no choice. saying so, doesn’t it? That their skin is rotting. It’s Yeah, it’s like gets old. I don’t know if rotting is the right word. Well, it it’s what causes the smell. It’s like a deterioration, I would imagine. Let’s not pretend that they don’t have a little bit of a Will you meet me there? Yeah, that there’s a smell. Okay. I think rotting you think of like infection and bacterial. I think it’s probably But hold on. You were saying a minute ago that I have a whiff about me. That is not No, that’s just your beard. Just lack of showering and wearing deodorant and things of that nature. All right. And speaking of deterioration, I think we have reached that point here on Jen, Gabe, and Chewy. I think Josh is going to be in charge of it, but we’re all going to, you know, kind of have a say in this team. And you can draft your championship team. We’re talking free food, great prizes, full VIP experience for all fans 21 and up. So, caller number four, caller four is going to win a spot into the ESPN Milwaukee Fantasy Football League. If your name is announced, you’ll have 48 hours to claim your spot at this exclusive event. Caller 40093776. Get us your reaction to the Jordan Love compilation. We’ve posted it on X on Twitter. Chewy gave it a C plus B minus as far as Jordan Love. Uh in part because of his footwork. We talked about that earlier. If you missed any of that conversation, you can find it on the ESPN Wisconsin app. But the other thing that was interesting, and no, I don’t think it was Lucas Vaness. Jordan Morgan, as some people have claimed, Joshy, I can’t get too hyped about that matchup right now. Was the snaps with the first team as a wide receiver for the family night scrimmage. Again, it is a practice. They are working through things. We don’t always know what the um objective of each workout is, but guys, these numbers were interesting. Matthew Golden took 22 snaps with the first team as a wide receiver. Now, this is not the slot. This is wide receiver. Romeo Dobs had 20. Malik Heath had 16. Savon Williams, Micole Hardman had four. Luke Musgrave, Julian Hicks, and Josh Jacobs each with one. Jaden Reed with zero. Chewy, are you surprised to hear that that’s how they lined everybody up for the practice on Saturday night? Other than Dobs, no. Although there were some Savon only getting four was he got four. Yep. He was four snaps. Yep. Um Golden they obviously want to get reps. He had the most total because he also had five in the slot. He had 27 which is fine. They’re trying to bring him up to speed. I don’t think he’ll be starting at the beginning of the season, right? I think we can all agree he looks pretty good. Yeah. I I I mean, yeah, you want to get him up to speed, but I don’t think you’re just putting him out there to go, “Oh, yeah. We need because wouldn’t Jaden Reed wouldn’t you want him to have more outside reps because he didn’t have many last year and he had zero in this practice? I don’t know. 10 out of the slot. I don’t know. I think they know what Jaden Reed is kind of. Then he’s just a slot receiver. All right. Regular personnel, tight end, two backs, two receivers. Who’s regular personnel? You’re saying out of zebra, three receivers, one tight end that he will be starting. Jaden, um Matthew Golden. Golden. Yeah, I agree. And if it’s two receivers, he’s probably out there ahead of Jaden Reed at this point. If they’re going two receivers, two tight ends. Really? Yeah, because Jaden Reed doesn’t play on the outside. This is another example of Jaden Reed and the Packers not using him on the outside and almost using him exclusively out of the back field or out of the slot. Well, then I can tell you this. Don’t expect Jaden Reed to be around long. You think he’s going to be okay with, “Hey, I’ll just play the zebra. Put me in the slot. That’s it.” Hell no. That’s why he drafts a guy like Savon Williams in the third round. Um I I mean I don’t have a problem with it. I said back when they took him I thought he was the best receiver outside of Travis Hunter. Yeah. I I think he is factoring ba based on everything coming out of camp and I know Chu you want to be anti- Gush and I know there’s a bit of all Onida. Yes. So, all those qualifiers, but it seems like he is the one who is consistently stepping up and people are noticing at practice, whether it’s family night or not. It seems that Matthew Golden day in and day out is the one that’s getting the most attention because of what he’s doing on the practice field. I I also found it instructive that when we talked about drafting a wide receiver one and a guy in the first round, the best ones often play slot and guess who also played in the slot? That’s Matthew Golden. So that’s cutting more even more into Jane Breed being in that slot. Well, the way you guys are talking, you sound like he’s going to be the number one receiver at the start of the season. It does sound that way, too. It’s it does look that way based on what we have seen from training camp. And then again, if you want to take and extrapolate any data from what you saw on family night, it’s that’s the direction this is going, is it not, Gabe? Yeah. This is this is what I Okay. because we heard the report from practice last week. Oh, all right. Jane Reed’s getting more work on the outside and then he took zero snaps on the outside. Okay, let me ask you this because we talked about this in the off season. Does that mean that Dobs becomes tradable? Potentially, depending upon what you get for him, like I think the price has to be right. Like I don’t think they’re just going to ship them off for a six-r pick. No. You know, like if somebody’s if somebody’s interested, they’re going to have to give you something substantial. And didn’t you mention him as being part of the Dallas trade for Parsons? Well, it was just thrown out there as a what it would take to get Micah Parsons. It wasn’t like it the Packers have actually put that deal together. It was more of a suggestion. Pittsburgh, I’m sure it would take him. It seems like him or Wixs are the ones people are honing in on with what are they gonna do after Christian Watson comes back because there will be not enough places to play those guys who probably deserve will the the guy who gets left out probably will deserve more snaps than he gets when all said and done. Are they off of Wix? No, he was just hurt. Yeah. Okay. So, he didn’t participate in practice and that’s why one thing that players notice when they’re off you, they’re off of you. And you know what they never do? Come back to you. They don’t. Well, but is it enough to say that that the Jaden Reed thing, could he be very good at just a very specific role as opposed to being this versatile guy who move all over the field if he’s Chewy? Haven’t you said there’s value in that as well? Just like doing one thing and doing it well. But I don’t think I don’t think we can put a lot based on the these numbers from a family night scrimmage. Let’s wait till the when do they play? Saturday. Yeah, but even then like I don’t know who’s going to play and who’s not. like there’s a possibility that they don’t play Jaden Reed at all in that game. You know what I’m saying? I think that family night, I think the joint practices, those are the marquee things that in my mind, depending upon how they handle the preseason, those are the premier events that take place of preseason games. I can tell you this about Jaden Reed. If he is upset, we’ll know very quickly because we all know who his agent is. It’s true. and someone’s going to make a call to him and say, “Is your client unhappy?” And he can’t keep his mouth shut. So, if he’s unhappy, we’ll know soon, right? You’re not wrong. Okay. Yeah. And I don’t think we are there yet, but it is interesting to see how they are using Jaden Reed or at least have shown that they are using him at these public training camps and at family night. We got to take a break here on Jen Gabe and Shy. Roll on right after this. More Jen, Gabe, and Chewy coming up on 945 ESPN. Brew Crew Tuesdays are back on August 19th. 41:01 Dude speaking is very contradicting if you pay attention to what he's saying‼️🤷🏿♂️🎯💯💯
Watched the first 20 minutes and not a word of any sport. See ya. Garbage show.
The Brewers are awesome and get the absolute most out of what they have for personnel. But they need to perform in the post season this year. No doubt. Or they will be labelled as a team that over achieves in the regular season and can't do it when it matters. Not saying they have to make the world series but they need to get past their first series at least.
