Astros vs. Marlins Game Highlights (8/4/25) | MLB Highlights

The Marlins have won six straight series for the first time since 1997. He’s got it one away here in the second four up and four down for Sandy now, 3 to 1 and is banged down the line to right Myers making his 10th start in right field has got it five up and five down for Sandy. The Astros are hitting the ball hard. Guini hitting 267 this season. 10 homers, 36 runs driven in. Here’s the pitch and that’s a liner left field and that is going to get down for a base hit. Sanchez will score and it’s a two nothing ball game RB I single for Carlos Correa. That’s the fourth consecutive hit to open up the inning for the Astros and they lead two nothing Sandy’s stuff is better than giving up four consecutive hits. He needs to make an adjustment because the Houston Astros obviously have made an adjustment against him. Walker will be swinging at the very first pitch as well. If he gets a strike from sandy, something that he’s looking for , there’s a ground ball to the right side, they glove it, they go to second for one and the ball is bobbled. They do get the out there but a run scores. It’ll be an RB I fielder’s choice for Walkers. Now, three game walker on first base one away for victor Caratini. Caratini hits it sharply that’s through for a base hit Astros have no hits in nine at bats coming into this inning. Now have five hits in the inning against six at bats. Astros lead three nothing man. If Diaz could pop walker on second. Caratini on first. Here’s the 12 and that’s pulled and that’s a fair ball into left field. She goes, Walker will score Caratini into third base. Here comes Caratini and he’s going to make it and it’s a two run double for Janer Diaz and it’s 5 to 0 matching the run total in the last three games scoring five. Here in the fourth inning. The Astros getting after Sandy Alcantara, we quickly venture into the bottom of the sixth inning. Marlins are trailing the Astros five to the Marlins have all of one hit tonight. Alexander has had his way from the get go with the fish, a two out rally building for the Marlins here in the sixth. They have the bases loaded with two out and we well documented all year long that the Marlins didn’t do their best work after two were out. They have scored a lot of runs this year after two were out and they got a really good guy in the batter’s box right now and Lopez full ground ball to short and the Astros will strand the bases loaded. Houston under way in the eighth inning with a new Marlins pitcher Gibson is going to be that lefty coming out of the pen for the Marlins. So Caratini at second base two outs. Now mauricio Dub-n is going to hit for Taylor Trimel and that’s line down the left field line hooking and it’s a fair ball just inside the chalk and it bounds down into the corner. Caratini scores Dub-n trades places with them at second an RB I double for the pinch hit Mauricio Dub-n 7 to 2 Astros. Now, Cam Smith in single and a run scored his last time that ball into the right center field dropping coming on the right fielder myers with a diving Astros get another run. Cam Smith will end up with an RB I number 46 on the year diving attempt by Dane Myers and couldn’t keep it in his glove eight to two here in the bottom of the ninth, one more quality pitched from Neris and the Astros can enjoy 1/6 consecutive win against the Marlins swing and a Miss Wagman strikes out on the splitter and that is the ball game Astros, a three game skid taking game one in Miami winning 8 to 2.

  3. Whoever was out there today were unrecognizable from the Marlins team I’ve watched over the past 2 months. Sloppiest game of the season by far, it never looked like this even when they were 16 games under .500.

    Except for Sandy. That performance was par for the course.

  5. Sandy Alcantara should be in the bullpen for a while, at least. Javier Sanoja should be getting regular starts against right-handed pitching, as well as left-handed pitchers.

  6. Like I said Florida baseball always more people in the dugouts than in the stands . Even if they were a winning team same thing. There is just no baseball fan base at all in that hot state !
