Hey everybody, Tony George Doc Sports Monday update. Major League Baseball Padres at Diamondbacks on a Monday. And as we always say on Mondays, tread lightly. Best free tip you’re going to get all day, crazy things happen in Major League Baseball on Mondays. If it was me and you standing around drinking a beer on the side of a somewhere here in the Midwest just taking a pee over a fence post shooting the breeze about baseball. I would say you do all the handicapping that you want. Do all the deep dives that you want. Break down every game, all the conventional wisdom, all the handicapping statistics that you use to arrive at a decision where you see an edge against the Las Vegas line. And then when you come up with those decisions, just turn around and go the other way. Just bet the opposite. You’ll probably be hitting about 70%. I mean, that’s Mondays, which is why we rarely have a play or just one. And we have just one today on the website. Um, and it’s the first five inning play. Uh, I like it early on. I’m not going to leave any chance with the bullpens down the stretch in it, but I think it’s got a pretty good number and a pretty good angle. Uh but this game here tonight now JP Sears um the Padres’s picked him up from the Athletics. Um he’s had his moments. Um middle of the road pitcher, but he’s a southpaw. Now Arizona has had one over in their last 10 games. They’re also three and seven in their last 10 games. The Padres’s are coming on a little bit and they’re seven and three and Sears is making his debut start tonight so he’ll be highly motivated and being a southpaw he’s in a good position. Now it’s the time of year where you start looking at last three games, last five games, and last 10 games. You break it out into three different categories when you’re breaking down games because season long stats don’t matter right now. In the last 10 games, Arizona, part of the reason they’re losing against Southpaw pitchers, they are hitting 171 as a team and 1.6 runs over nine innings. Consequently, Fat is on the hill tonight for Arizona, who just got lit up like a Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza in his last start. Gave up 11 hits and seven runs in four innings. He’s a right-hander and the Padres’s their last 10 games are hitting right-handers at 313 as a team. Pizza money. We’re not selling Grandma’s Farm. It’s a free play, but even on the road here on a Monday, I’m going to lay the minus 120 125 with the Padres for your free play to get it done. Over at the website, um one three unit pick in Major League Baseball. We started out the weekend two and 0 on Friday, then went 0 and two on Saturday, and then one and one split yesterday. And we had Toronto yesterday as a three-unit position. They end up getting into overtime, extra innings with Kansas City. And somehow out of nowhere, the Royals score five innings in top of the five runs in the top of the 10th inning. They usually can’t score five runs in a game. Just insane. I hate extra innings. I hate when we’re that deep into the bullpin because anybody can win. So, we didn’t get it done. We had Miami uh yesterday as well as just a basically a pick them against the Yankees. Uh but uh we need to step it up baseball this week. So, we’re going to start out with a three-unit position today on a first five inning play. Only play I have up today. Um may do a prop. Still looking at that. may or may not do a prop today. We ced we went two 0 and then one over the weekend because the game got cancelled. But live to fight another day putting up bunch of picks. Hey Tony seems like you give a hint that your pick was going to be wrong before you even told it because you said Monday are always crazy it’s like you always can’t give the right pick but you can let us know in other words lol and another thing I noticed last year on nfl you talked about the teams playing that night and so on then quickly you said the nfl team who was going to win, you didn’t say give me Green Bay or here’s my pick you just said out of the blue Green Bay and stopped talking about it haha and they won that night I like how you use your words
